Abstract

The learning model in the Independent Curriculum adopts various learning models, one of which is Project-Based Learning (PjBL), emphasizing project-based learning. However, the reality is that students' achievement in self-directed learning and critical thinking skills is still considered low. Therefore, it is hoped that the implementation of the PjBL learning model can enhance students' self-directed learning and critical thinking skills in education. Hence, this research aims to assess the impact of PjBL on students' self-directed learning and critical thinking skills. Through a descriptive research method, an analysis was conducted on 20 similar journals to evaluate the effects of implementing PjBL on students' self-directed learning and critical thinking skills. The analysis revealed an effect size value of 1.063, as per Cohen's interpretation table, confirming that the Project-Based Learning Model significantly influences the enhancement of students' self-directed learning and critical thinking skills in elementary school.

Abstract

The implementation of learning by using textbooks in schools is generally still not optimal. Especially at the elementary school level, science subjects that are currently IPAS, and subjects that are considered difficult are a major problem. This is due to the fundamental nature of the book material which greatly affects learning outcomes. One good alternative to improve student understanding and learning outcomes is to make science teaching materials in the form of books based on local wisdom and values. The method used is development research (R&D) with the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) involving 25 students in the experimental class and 24 control classes. The final results of this study on science reading books with local wisdom values proved to be valid for use in elementary schools with a validity value of 94% material experts and 95% media experts and science reading materials with local wisdom values are practical for use in learning for educators and students with a practicality test containing a value of 76%. Science reading materials containing local wisdom values have an impact in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Pengambengan with an Asymp. Sig value of 0.000 <0.05 indicates that reading science subjects based on local wisdom values has an effect on developing further learning outcomes.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman telah membawa pengaruh – pengaruh negatif bagi anak bangsa di Indonesia. Dimana terjadinya pelemahan karakter anak bangsa yang ditandai banyaknya kasus – kasus negatif yang dilakukan oleh pelajar. Kasus – kasus yang kini marak terjadi yaitu mengenai kasus bullying ,tawuran antar, pelecehan seksual, dan penyebaran foto – foto serta video tidak senonoh melalui grup oleh siswa. Tujuan artikel ini yaitu untuk memahami serta mengetahui tentang bagaimana cara menanamkan karakter kepada anak SD dengan metode pembelajaran yang interaktif yaitu sosiodrama didalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan  Kewarganegaraan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian deskriptif dan kualitatif dengan penekanan pada penelitian kepustakaan. Penelitian kepustakaan ini  mengacu pada  penelitian yang menggunakan bahan pustaka untuk memperoleh data penelitian. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan adalah mata pelajaran yang tepat guna menanamkan nilai - nilai, karakter, budi pekerti serta moral baik dalam kehidupan sehari – hari anak melalui pendidikan Pancasila yang ada didalamnya. Dan diterapkannya metode sosiodrama dalam Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan bisa mendukung siswa dalam mencerna materi pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru melalui berperan secara langsung dalam permasalahan sosial yang dihadapi. Melalui metode ini juga guru mengajarkan baimana cara anak berperiaku dalam berhubungan sosial. Sehingga dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, metode ini tepat digunakan oleh guru dalam upaya penanaman karakter untuk anak usia Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan E-modul interaktif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X, yang tercatat terbagi dalam 5 kelas yang berjumlah 133 siswa. Dalam penelitian ini sampel di tetapkan dari populasi dengan menggunakan Teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dan dilengkapi dengan rubrik penilaian. Kemudian dilaksanakan perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test dan gain score. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa data tersebut homogen dengan hasil uji 0,503 dan signifikansi 0,481 yang jauh lebih besar dari signifikansi alpha 5%. Dengan demikian hasil uji dengan asumsi homogenitas terpenuhi adalah -2,407 dengan signifikansi 0,019. Jika ditetapkan taraf signifikansi alpha 5% maka signifikansi hasil pengujian lebih kecil dari signifikansi alpha  (0,019<0,05). Jadi, e-modul interaktif berbasis proyek berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Merdeka Curriculum is a government effort to revamp primary education, facilitate more relevant, creative, and innovative situation for students. However, despite its promising concept, the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools still faces various challenges. One of the main issues is the lack of understanding and preparedness among schools and teachers regarding curriculum changes. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum policy in elementary schools. The data analysis in this study utilizes quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Research participants consist of teachers, principals, and staff at elementary school. The data collection technique in this study also conducted through interview, and observation is to conduct surveys by distributing questionnaires that have passed validation. The results of the research with the number of respondents were two school principals and two class teachers with a percentage of 66.68% in the very good category, then 33.32% in the good category, and no one got the adequate or poor categories for each element. The conclusion in this research is that the independent curriculum can be implemented well and needs to be improved. The significant implications of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the policy implementation process and provide valuable insights for policymakers, school principals, teachers, and stakeholders. It recommends in further efforts to overcome the challenges faced and optimize the benefits of the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve literacy and numeracy skills among elementary school students. This activity was carried out at SD Negeri 1 Tegal Badeng Barat, which faced challenges in mastering reading, writing and arithmetic skills. Through an interactive and fun approach, this program organizes various activities, such as reading training, educational games, and numeracy workshops. The involvement of parents and teachers is also a focus to create a supportive learning environment. Thus, this service not only improves students' academic abilities, but also grows their interest in learning. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in participants' literacy and numeracy skills, as well as an increase in interest in reading and learning. Apart from that, this program also builds public awareness of the importance of literacy and numeracy as the foundation of strong education. It is hoped that this initiative can continue and provide a sustainable positive impact on developing community capacity. The hope for the future is to continue this program on an ongoing basis and expand its reach to other schools.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang berperan penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir logis dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Karena objek kajian matematika bersifat abstrak, maka diperlukan media pembelajaran yang tepat guna mendukung keberhasilan proses pemahaman konsep tersebut. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan yaitu media Papan Perkalian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji kepraktisan media tersebut dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep perkalian siswa di kelas II. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan, yaitu: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Observasi dilakukan terhadap proses pembelajaran di kelas, wawancara dilakukan dengan guru dan kepala sekolah, sedangkan angket digunakan untuk menilai kepraktisan media dari sudut pandang siswa dan guru. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive, yaitu dengan memilih siswa kelas II dan guru kelas di SD Negeri 3 Baluk sebagai subjek penelitian karena sesuai dengan tujuan pengembangan media. Analisis data dilakukan dengan data kualitatif dari hasil observasi dan wawancara. Dan data kuantitatif berdasarkan hasil uji validitas dan kepraktisan. Produk yang dikembangkan kemudian diuji kesesuaian media papan perkalian yang dinilai oleh dua ahli media dan dua ahli materi dengan perolehan skor validitas sebesar 1 yang menempatkannya pada kategori sangat valid. Kemudian dari hasil respon guru terhadap media diperoleh presentase 96,00% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan respon siswa diperoleh rata-rata presentase 88,98% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media papan perkalian yang dikembangkan layak, valid, dan praktis untuk digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas II sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The problem of low student learning outcomes in science learning is due to the lack of active students in the learning process, besides that learning is also still teacher centered, so studentlearning outcomes are low. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there are differences in learning outcomes from classes using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learningmodel with classes using conventional learning models. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in learning outcomes from the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and the conventional learning model. This research design applies a quasiexperimental (quasi-experimental). Data collection tools used in the form of tests anddocumentation. The research instrument uses an objective test that matches the indicators. Theresearch hypothesis test used a t-test where, before the t-test, the data was tested usingprerequisite tests, namely normality test and homogeneity test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in science learning outcomes between the group of students who learned to follow the PBL learning model and the group of students who learned to follow the conventional learning model. This is indicated by (tcount=7,673>ttable=2,000). Based on this, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model has a positive effect on student learning outcomes in class IV science subjects in the Erlangga Cluster, Mendoyo District, for the2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve science learning outcomes on light material and its properties for fifth grade students in the first semester of SD Negeri 3 Batuagung for the 2020/2021 academic year through the application of the CTL learning model. (Contextual Teaching and Learning). The subjects of this study were 25 students of class V, consisting of 11 male students and 14 female students. Data on student learning outcomes was obtained using the test method with a set of learning outcomes test instruments. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive data analysis.The results of data analysis show the application of the CTL learning model (Contextual Teaching and Learning) can improve science learning outcomes in students. This is indicated by the increase in the average and classical quantification of students' science learning outcomes from pre-cycle to cycle II. Theaverage student learning outcomes increased by 4.68 from the pre-cycle to the first cycle, from 65.40 to 70.08. Then it increased by 15 points from pre-cycle to cycle II, from 65.40 to 80.40 and increased by 10.32 points from cycle I to cycle II, from 70.08 to 80.40. Meanwhile, the percentage of students' classical completeness also increased by 12% from pre-cycle to cycle I, from 40% to 52%. Then it increased by 52% from pre-cycle to cycle II, ie from 40% to 92%. And increased 40% from cycle I to cycle II, ie from 52% to 92%.

Abstract

The demands of 21st century education emphasize the importance of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). One approach considered effective in supporting the achievement of these goals is the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the PBL model in enhancing problem solving skills in science subjects and self regulated learning among elementary school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes, each serving as either the experimental or the control group. Data were collected using instruments in the form of a test to assess science problem solving ability and a questionnaire to measure self-regulation learning. The analysis using MANOVA revealed a significant effect of PBL implementation on the simultaneous improvement of both variables, with a significance level of 0.001, which is less than 0.05. These results indicate that PBL is capable of creating an active, reflective, and collaborative learning environment. The conclusion of this study affirms that PBL is an effective alternative instructional strategy for supporting students' holistic competency development. Therefore, it is recommended that this model be implemented more broadly in thematic learning at the elementary school level and further explored for development across different educational levels and contexts.
