Abstract

Quality of life is a part of development concept which usually used for finding out the Human Development Index (HDI) that was determined by enrollment rate, life expectation, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of each country. The research was aimed at finding out the differences of fishermen’s Quality of Life (QoL) based on individual modernity. An expost facto was used by involving 155 fishermen as sample. There were two instruments for measuring fishermen QoL (18 items, rel .816) and individual modernity (17 items rel .845). Data was analyzed by t test. The results revealed that there was significant differences of fishermen’s QoL between those who have high individual modernity compared to those who have lower individual modernity. Therefore, it could be concluded that fishermen’s QoL might be affected by individual modernity. The implication of  this research would be beneficials for improving QoL instrument by considering the role of individual modernity concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji praktik sanitasi rumah potong ayam. Hal ini muncul berdasarkan pengakuan bahwa tempat pemotongan ayam yang berada di tengah pemukiman warga terkesan kurang memperhatikan pembuangan limbahnya, sehingga memunculkan kekhawatiran warga terhadap kesehatan lingkungan masyarakat pemukiman. Survei untuk penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi lapangan. Sebanyak 31 unit usaha pemotongan ayam teridentifikasi di daerah penelitian dimana 80% dipilih secara acak. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan limbah padat pada sentra usaha pemotongan ayam tergolong cukup baik yaitu: telah menyediakan wadah penampungan limbah, letak wadah di luar bangunan, berupaya mengurangi bau kotoran ayam, tersedia TPS (kontainer) dan pengangkutan limbah oleh petugas kebersihan, namun untuk pengelolaan limbah cair tergolong sangat buruk yaitu: belum tersedia sarana pengolahan air limbah, tidak ada saluran khusus untuk limbah cair dan sebagian besar belum melakukan penyaringan air limbah sebelum dialirkan ke saluran pembuangan sehingga menimbulkan bau busuk. Hasil uji lab BOD dan COD limbah cair dari tempat pemotongan juga telah melampaui baku mutu lingkungan yakni sebesar 3204,7 mg/L dan nilai COD sebesar 5969,6 mg/L. Efek dari kegiatan pemotongan ayam terhadap kesehatan mayarakat pemukiman berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari Puskesmas terdekat diketahui ada beberapa jenis penyakit yang diderita warga diakibatkan oleh kebersihan lingkungan yang tidak memadai, seperti penyakit saluran pernafasan atas, diare, cacingan, penyakit kulit dan penyakit lainnya. Namun demikian untuk memastikan hal tersebut diperlukan kajian/penelitian yang lebih mendalam. Studi ini merekomendasikan kepada pemerintah Kota untuk melakukan pemantauan secara periodik terhadap operasi pemotongan hewan, termasuk sentra pemotongan ayam, penegakan hukum dan peraturan sanitasi lingkungan di rumah pemotongan serta pendidikan lingkungan untuk para pengelola rumah pemotongan hewan dan penduduk.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP Nahdiyat Makassar melalui penerapan model pembelajaran explisit instruction. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi  dan test akhir. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah statistik deskriptif dengan dilengkapi tabel frekuensi serta presentase. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP Nahdiyat Makassar. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus diadakan empat kali pertemuan (tiga kali pertemuan proses belajar mengajar dan satu kali pertemuan test hasil belajar) serta melalui empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan seluruh pembahasan serta analisis yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Explicit Instruction dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Nahdiyat Makassar yang ditandai dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa pada siklus I sebesar 64,82 dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 77,85.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan kinerja guru honorer melalui pelatihan luar sekolah SMPN 2 Sageri. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif mengunakan pendekatan fenomenologis. Subjek penelitian kepala sekolah dan dua guru honorer. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini menujukan peningkatan kinerja guru honorer dengan memberikan ruang pada guru honorer supaya dapat berpartisipasi aktif dalam pelatihan luar sekolah, pemberian insentif bagi guru honorer yang berprestasi, dan melakukan musyawarah guru mata pelajaran. Pelatihan luar sekolah yang diikuti guru honorer diantaranya pendidikan profesi guru.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui penerapan literasi kritis dalam pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas VII SMPN 6 Kepulauan Selayar. Metode yang peneliti gunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap meliputi perencanaan, tindakan dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII SMPN 6 Kepulauan Selayar berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengunakan reduksi data, pengajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa persentase aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan di tiap siklusnya. Di mana pada siklus I nilai rata-rata hanya 69.06 atau 60% ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal. Namun setelah diadakan refleksi sebagai langkah untuk melaksanakan siklus II mengalami peningkatan terlihat dari nilai rata-rata secara individu yang diperoleh siswa sebesar 90.31 atau 100% ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan literasi kritis memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas VII SMPN 6 Kepulauan Selayar.

Abstract

Literature Study: Application of The Probing-Prompting Learning Model to Student Learning Outcomes. The purpose of this study was to examine the application of the probing prompting learning model to student learning outcomes. The probing prompting learning model is learning that asks a series of questions that guide and test students' ideas to improve the thinking process that is able to connect students' knowledge and experience with newly learned knowledge. This research is a library research. The data collection technique was carried out by searching for scientific articles related to the research. The data obtained is secondary data in the form of books, magazines and scientific articles on research issues. The information obtained is processed through data reduction and then described scientifically to arrive at a research result. From the results of the study of several studies that have applied the probing prompting learning model, it can be concluded that the application of the probing prompting learning model has a positive effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Service activities are part of the tridharma lecturer. This activity is expected to increase knowledge and overcome problems faced by partners. Optimizing the benefits of natural resources is an important thing to do. This is intended so that these natural resources have high economic value. One of the abundant local natural resources at the service location is kepok bananas so diversification of processed kepok is deemed necessary. In addition, the observations also revealed that partners were only able to make fruit pie, which only lasted a maximum of three days, so the implementation team assumed that brownie pie making was something that could be taught to partners. The purpose of this service activity is to provide partner knowledge and skills through processing plantain marble cakes so they don't go sour and making brownie pies. The method used is training with the Asset-Based Community Development or ABCD approach by utilizing local natural resources. Partners in this activity were PKK Puundoho Village women. Changes in partner knowledge are measured through evaluation results before and after community service activities. The results of the dedication show that there has been an increase in partner knowledge and skills. In addition, activities have also provided new experiences for partners.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Citizenship behavior toward environment (CBE) is a voluntary act of actively participating in the community to do a job that can solve environmental problems and achieve sustainable development goals (SDG's) with pro-energy, pro-cleanliness, environmental activities, and environmental participation dimensions. This study is a correlational study that aims to determine the relationship between motivation of healthy life and students' citizenship behavior toward environment. A survey method was applied by involving 30 students of STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia Makassar with simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by applying instrument of opinioner and were analyzed by applying Pearson product-moment. The research results, the correlation coefficient r is 0.515 with p = 0.020 (p <0.05), indicating that there is a very significant positive relationship between the motivation of healthy life and students’ citizenship behavior toward environment, meaning that the higher the motivation of healthy life, students’ citizenship behavior towards the environment is also good. Keywords: Motivation of healthy life, citizenship behavior toward environment, pro energy, pro cleanliness, go green ABSTRAK Perilaku bijak terhadap lingkungan merupakan suatu tindakan sukarela dalam berpartisipasi aktif di masyarakat untuk melakukan suatu pekerjaan yang dapat memecahkan masalah lingkungan dan mencapai tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDG’s) dengan dimensi pro energi, pro kebersihan, aktivitas lingkungan, dan partisipasi lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional yang bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi hidup sehat dengan perilaku bijak mahasiswa terhadap lingkungan. Metode survei dilakukan dengan melibatkan 30 mahasiswa STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia Makassar dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen opinioner dan dianalisis dengan teknik korelasi product-moment. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi r sebesar 0,515 dengan p = 0,020 (p < 0,05), menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara motivasi hidup sehat dengan perilaku bijak mahasiswa terhadap lingkungan, artinya semakin tinggi motivasi hidup sehat maka akan semakin baik pula perilaku bijak mahasiswa terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Services using AI can be found everywhere, such as Google Assistant, Siri, Google Translate, Computer Games, and so on. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning in schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the literature study method. Sources of data were obtained through research journal articles, proceeding articles and books that were relevant to the research objectives. The results of this study found that AI can assist in analyzing individual student data and produce learning recommendations that are tailored to the needs and abilities of each student. Thus, AI can help teachers to provide a more personal and effective approach to the learning process. Adaptable Teaching: AI can be used to develop adaptive teaching systems, where learning materials can be adapted to students' level of understanding. For example, AI can provide additional exercises or additional explanatory material to students who are having difficulty understanding a particular topic

Abstract

The concept of inheritance of traits in living things is one of the biology materials that students learn in class IX. Based on the results of interviews with students at Makassar National Junior High School, many students experience difficulties and misconceptions in understanding the concept of genetics (inheritance of traits), such as the misunderstanding of genotive and phenotypic traits that are considered the same. Genetic button practicum is used to facilitate students in understanding the concept of the material taught. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of genetic button practicum on students' psychomotor learning outcomes in inheritance material in SMP Nasional Makassar. The design used in this research is the design of One-Shot Case Study.  While the sample of this research is the class IX B SMP Nasional Makassar by the number of students is 33 students.  Determination of the sample was conducted using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study is in the form of a guide sheet practicum and performance assessment. The results of the analysis show that the first practice is classical completeness 88% and the ratio of classical effectiveness is 117.3% and in the second practicum the classical completeness is 85% and the ratio of effectiveness is classically 113.3%. This means that the use of genetic button practical is effective in the psychomotor abilities of student in learning biology in inheritance material at SMP Nasional Makassar.
