Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) dengan judul “Present Perfect Tense Use for Checking Steps to Operate Microsoft Word by Students In Saengtham Wittaya Foundation School, Trang, Thailand” merupakan bukti nyata tridharma dosen di Universitas Budi Darma Medan untuk bersinergi dengan seluruh komponen pendidikan. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah agar para guru sekolah dasar bisa mengintegrasikan pengajaran Bahasa Inggris dan penguasaan teknologi secara sejalan. Selama ini metode pengajaran berbicara (speaking) diajarkan hanya pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris saja. Lewat integrasi pengajaran Bahasa Inggris dan tekhnologi, diharapkan bisa mengasah kemampuan berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris sekaligus penguasaan teknologi. Guru melatih siswa untuk memanfaatkan praktik penggunaan tenses present perfect tense yang selama ini hanya diajarkan secara teori untuk mengenal formulanya dan bentuknya, namun dalam pelatihan ini siswa secara langsung bisa memahami pengguanaan tenses present perfect tense dalam aspek kegiatan sehari-hari berkomunikasi bersama teman sebaya terutama dalam kegiatan untuk mengecek langkah-langkah penggunaan teknologi dalam menggunakan software miscrosoft word. Pemanfaatan grammatical function memegang peranan penting dalam pelatihan ini, sehingga siswa terbiasa berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan tenses yang sesuai sekaligus mampu menguasai istilah-istilah sederhana dalam kegiatan penggunaan software microsoft word dan Langkah-langkahnya.

Abstract

Manga Dua Village is one of the villages located in Tanjun Beringin District, Serdan Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra. Mangga Dua Village has great potential in agriculture, especially in rice fields. The agricultural potential of Mangga Dua village is very good, but it has never been promoted through public media that can be accessed by the wider community. For this reason, Mandua Village needs media to promote and promote the village's potential. The village website has benefits that are felt by many stakeholders, both village officials, village communities, and other stakeholders who need information about the village. Village websites can be used to promote village activities in the media and promote village potential. Mangga II village website design aims to assist the village in publicizing its activities and promoting the potential of the village.

Abstract

Arthropoda merupakan filum hewan yang paling luas yang mencakup lebih dari 80% hewan spesies di bumi, termasuk kalajengking, laba-laba, dan kecoa. Morfologi keanekaragaman dan kemiripan antarspesies membuat klasifikasi manual menjadi kompleks, terutama di level ordo. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengembangkan model klasifikasi citra arthropoda menggunakan pendekatan Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Dataset yang dipakai adalah 1.028 images arthropoda yang diperoleh dari Kaggle, terbagi atas tiga kelas, yaitu kalajengking, laba-laba, dan kecoa. Dataset ini di split menjadi tiga tahap yaitu 80% untuk pelatihan, 10% validasi, dan 10% testing. Arsitektur yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah EfficientNet-B7 yang digabungkan dengan metode transfer learning, augmentation data, serta optimasi Adam. Pelatihan dilakukan selama 25 epochs dengan menggunakan metode early stopping untuk mencegah overfitting. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa model yang dikembangkan mampu mengklasifikasikan citra arthropoda dengan 93,67% akurasi, 94,50% precision, 92,00% recall, dan F1-score 92,54%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi CNN, yaitu EfficientNet-B7, mampu mengenali dan mengklasifikasikan arthropoda secara efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi penggunaan teknologi deep learning untuk mendukung klasifikasi organisme biologis secara otomatis, cepat, dan akurat.

Abstract

Honorary workers are employees who have not been appointed as permanent employees who receive an honorarium every month from the agency or company where they work. SMK N 1 Balige is one of the schools that still needs honorary teachers. Each school certainly makes policies to create a teaching and learning process between teachers and students that is more conducive and optimal. One of the policies of SMK N 1 Balige is to select the best honorary teachers. This policy can encourage honorary teachers to work more professionally. However, this assessment is still carried out manually so that it affects the results of decisions that are not objective. Then a decision support system is needed by applying two methods, namely the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) and Rank Order Centroid (ROC) methods to produce accurate decisions and get the best alternative from the input matrix. The ARAS method is used as the ranking for the final results and the ROC method is used for weighting. The application of a decision support system using the ROC method is able to give weight to each criterion that will be used in the ARAS method calculation process. By applying the ARAS method, the best alternative was produced in the name of Donna Napitupulu with alternative code A3 with a result of 0.976 followed by alternative A1 in the name of Anita Teresia Sianipar with a result of 0.929.

Abstract

The insertion of images into PDF files using the Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT) method is one of the challenges in data security and information integrity. One effective steganography method used to hide secret messages (text or images) inside other files containing text, images, or even audio, without showing noticeable or visible changes in the quality and structure of the original file. The method used in this study allows image data to be divided into smaller parts, which are then embedded into various locations within the PDF file based on modulo operations. With this method, the image can be accurately reconstructed with high precision, even if part of the data is lost or damaged. The main advantage of this method is the increased security and confidentiality of the data, as the embedding is done in a way that is not directly visible within the PDF file, and data recovery requires specific knowledge of the CRT parameters used. The results of the study show that using CRT in the process of embedding images into PDF files is highly efficient and reconstructs the image in the PDF file without altering image quality or damaging the file structure, with better security compared to conventional methods. The potential application of this method is not only limited to image embedding but can also be extended to various other types of data.

Abstract

Kemampuan untuk memprediksi jumlah penjualan produk sangat penting dalam mendukungp engambilan keputusan bisnis seperti pengelolaan stok dan perencanaan produksi. Penelitiani ni bertujuan membangun model prediksi penjualan menggunakan algoritma K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) berdasarkan data historis penjualan enam jenis produk dari Toko X pada periode Agustus 2022 hingga November 2023. Proses prediksi melibatkan penentuan nilai k, perhitungan jarak, pemilihan tetangga terdekat, dan evaluasi menggunakan metrik Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) dan Mean Absolute Error (MAE). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa model KNN mampu memprediksi tren penjualan dengan akurasi yang cukup baik, dengan nilai rata-rata MAPE sebesar 16,66% dan MAE sebesar 4168,77. Model ini dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu untuk memperkirakan permintaan barang dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan operasional secara lebih efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Comic is a work of art that is designed using a collection of still images and is complemented by a text or story. Comics are a reading book needed by children and teenagers alike. In comics, apart from the interesting content of the stories, there are also moral messages embedded in each story. However, with the development of technology, there are many comics whose stories do not educate teenagers' characters, starting from pictures and no more educational moral messages embedded in the stories. The solution drawn from this problem is by designing an Android-based comic application that can be easily accessed and understood by the public, especially teenagers. However, due to the limitations of smartphone applications to present comic episodes, string matching is needed to search for comic titles. The string matching algorithm is a string matching algorithm that looks for a string consisting of several patterns (characters) in a large amount of text. For android-based comic applications, it is designed using the Crochemore-perrin algorithm

Abstract

Of the various functions that exist in a company engaged in the business world, the function of marketing or marketing functions is a very vital and strategic function for the company concerned. The rapid development of the business world, accompanied by increasingly intense business competition, has actually strengthened the position of the marketing aspect of this vital and strategic position, Sales are the jobs most needed by the company, these 10 specialties, total vacancies for sales are 19%, followed by financial default by 18%, while IT / communication amounts to 13%. Job vacancies as sales are widely available, but lack of interest, therefore companies find it difficult to find employees in the sales department The COPRAS method assumes a direct and proportional dependence on the level of significance and utility of the alternatives in the presence of conflicting criteria. This takes into account the performance of alternatives with respect to different criteria and also the weight of the appropriate criteria. This method chooses the best decision considering the ideal and ideal solution - worst. The COPRAS method used here for decision making in the manufacturing environment adopts a six-stage procedure ranking and evaluates alternatives in terms of their level of importance and usefulness. The COPRAS method has the ability to take into account positive (favorable) and negative (unfavorable) criteria, which can be assessed separately in the evaluation process. The most important feature that makes the COPRAS method superior to other methods is that it can be used to calculate the level of alternative utility that shows the extent to which alternatives are taken for comparison

Abstract

Surveys are usually confused with the term observation in the everyday sense, surveys are also the main way to collect primary data if secondary data are deemed incomplete to answer a question, if the secondary data is complete enough and the hypothesis can be tested with secondary data then Direct primary data collection using the survey method is no longer necessary, a survey is looking for detailed factual information that is currently symptomatic and identifying problems or to justify conditions and ongoing activities to find out what people are doing which is the target of research in solving problems, as material for planning and making decisions in the future. SMART (Simple Multi - Attribute Rating Technique) is a multi-criteria decision-making method developed by Edward in 1977.This multi-criteria decision-making technique is based on the theory that each alternative consists of a number of criteria that have values and each criterion has a weight describes how important it is compared to other criteria. This weighting is used to assess each alternative in order to obtain the best alternative. SMART uses a linear additive model to predict the value of each alternative. SMART is a flexible decision making method.
