Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas butir soal ujian sekolah bidang studi matematika kelas IX SMP Islam Hidayatul Ummah Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Islam Hidayatul Ummah dengan objek yaitu berupa lembar jawaban siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik Dokumentasi. Dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan program iteman sebelum akhirnya dapat ditarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, dapat dilihat bahwa : (1) Tingkat kesukaran butir soal, dari 25 butir soal yang disediakan, sebanyak 44 persen butir soal memiliki tingkat kesukaran (TK) sedang (berada pada interval yang tergolong ke dalam kriteria soal yang baik. 0 persen butir soal berada pada interval yang tergolong dalam kriteria butir soal yang mudah. sedangkan 56 persen lainnya berada pada interval yang tergolong dalam kriteria soal yang sukar atau sulit. (2) Daya beda butir soal, dari 25 butir soal yang disediakan, 44 persen butir soal memiliki daya beda yang diterima dengan baik, 8 persen butir soal diterima dengan revisi,16 persen butir soal di perbaiki, sedangkan 32 persen butir soal lainnya dibuang. Sedangkan untuk pengecoh, 84 persen butir soal memiliki 3 option yang berfungsi dari 4 option yang disediakan. 16 persen memiliki 2 option yang berfungsi dari 4 option yang disediakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Etnomatematika Budaya Sasak terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain Quasi Ekperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Sirajul Huda. Penentuan sampel menggunakan Cluster Random sampling. Cluster Random sampling adalah teknik memilih sampel dari kelompok-kelompok unit yang kecil. Pengambilan Data menggunakan Instrumen Observasi, Angket Motivasi, Dokumentasi, Wawancara dan Tes. Instrumen tes berupa uraian pada Pretest dan Posttest. Analisis Data dengan uji Paired Sample T Test menggunakan IMB SPSS Stastik versi 20. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan secara signifikan (p< 0,05) Ada pengaruh Implementasi Berbasis Etnomatematika Budaya Sasak terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa MTs Sirajul Huda terhadap hasil belajar pada materi Bangun Datar dan Lingkaran dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah, dimana nilai Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran berbasis Etnomatematika Budaya Sasak terhadap Motivasi Belajar lebih tinggi yaitu 77 jika dibandingkan dengan nilai Rata-rata menggunakan metode ceramah yaitu 68.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving seventh-grade students’ creativity and numeracy skills at MTs NW Pringgarata. The main issue addressed is the low level of creativity and numeracy skills caused by conventional teaching methods. A quantitative quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two groups: an experimental class implementing PjBL and a control class using traditional methods. Research instruments included creativity and numeracy tests, supported by assessment rubrics, with data collected through pretests and posttests. Data analysis applied t-tests and N-Gain calculations. The results show that PjBL significantly improves students’ creativity and numeracy skills. The experimental class achieved higher posttest scores than the control class, with an N-Gain of 0.60 (moderate category) compared to 0.49 (moderate category). These findings indicate that PjBL is an effective and innovative alternative teaching method to enhance students’ creativity and numeracy skills.

Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving skills in Grade VII of SMPN 3 Praya Tengah during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into two groups: an experimental class (20 students) applying the discovery learning model, and a control class (20 students) using conventional teaching methods. The research instrument was a problem-solving test on algebra, administered before and after the treatment. Data analysis using an independent samples t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups with a sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that the discovery learning model is effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Haq. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen berbentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah dua kelas: VIII A (kontrol) dan VIII B (eksperimen), masing-masing 28 siswa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket untuk mengukur motivasi belajar.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 47,58 dan 50,00, sedangkan kelas eksperimen 46,73 dan 83,04. Uji t menghasilkan p < 0,05, menandakan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Analisis N-gain menunjukkan kategori sedang untuk kontrol (0,44) dan eksperimen (0,54). Penerapan PBL terbukti efektif meningkatkan komunikasi matematis (representasi, penyusunan model, penyajian ide) dan motivasi belajar siswa (partisipasi aktif, ketekunan, dan kepercayaan diri).

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in improving students’ creative thinking skills. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students of MTS Arrahmah NW Pringgarata in the 2024/2025 academic year. Samples were selected using purposive sampling, with class VIII A as the experimental group taught using CTL and class VIII B as the control group taught using conventional methods. The instrument used was a creative thinking test based on the indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, which had been validated and proven reliable. Data were analyzed through normality, homogeneity, independent t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The findings revealed that the experimental group achieved a higher mean score (80.92) compared to the control group (66.12). The t-test showed a significance value < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, CTL is effective in enhancing students’ creative thinking skills, particularly in learning Pythagorean Theorem.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students' mathematical conceptual understanding and mathematical disposition. The research employed an experimental design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 38 eighth-grade students of SMP IP Darul Hukumaini, comprising 20 students in the experimental group and 18 in the control group. Research instruments included a mathematical conceptual understanding test and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Data analysis involved validity testing, reliability, normality test, and t-tests. Findings revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group’s conceptual understanding, with higher posttest scores compared to pretest (t = 8.09 > 2.09). However, no significant difference was found between the experimental and control groups’ posttest results (t = 0.245 < 2.03). Students’ mathematical disposition also showed positive improvement through PBL. These findings highlight that PBL is effective in enhancing both cognitive and affective aspects, although its implementation should be supported by further strategies for optimal outcomes.

Abstract

Mathematics is basically dominated by arithmetic operations, both addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, so if students want to master mathematics then students must be able to count correctly. One method that can be applied to train students' counting skills is by using the jarimatika method. This PKM activity aims to train fast and accurate counting skills in mathematics learning for grade V SDN Bagu. The method used in the PKM activity is the lecture and demonstration method. In addition to seeing the results of this PKM, an evaluation was carried out by looking at the responses of students after this PKM activity was carried out. The results of the PKM activity were the responses of most students or more than more than 80% of students gave a very good response to this PKM activity, students felt that counting using Jarimatika became easy and counting became faster and more accurate.

Abstract

Algebraic thinking is crucial for assisting students in the mathematics learning process. Algebraic thinking is the process by which students solve problems, identify problems, and present them mathematically in mathematics learning. Generalization is part of algebraic thinking and is an essential component of the educational curriculum. However, there are several obstacles and challenges in students' algebraic thinking, particularly in generalizing patterns. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze junior high school students' algebraic thinking skills in solving pattern generalization problems. This study is a descriptive qualitative study, where the results are in the form of descriptions of students' algebraic thinking skills. The results of this study indicate that subjects with high-level algebraic thinking skills tend to generalize factually and symbolically, and the data fulfills all indicators of algebraic thinking. Subjects with moderate algebraic thinking skills only tend to generalize factually and only fulfill some algebraic thinking skills. Subjects with low algebraic skills tend to have difficulty generalizing patterns and only fulfill a few algebraic thinking skills.
