Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-modul kimia berbasis STEM dengan pendekatan etnosains yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini mengacu pada model 4D dari Thiagarajan, S. Semmel & Semmel yang dimodifikasi menjadi tiga tahap yaitu define, design, dan develop. Modul kimia dilakukan ujicoba kevalidan dan kepraktisan sebelum digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga tim ahli dan disesuaikan dengan tabel penskoran, sedangkan uji kepraktisan menggunakan angket respon peserta didik dengan menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul kimia berbasis STEM dengan pendekatan etnosains dalam kategori layak dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan perolehan skor berturut-turut sebesar 87% dan 86,2%.

Abstract

Pa’i piri herbs comes from the Mbojo tribe and is made from a bitter ingredient and is believed to have various benefits. This study aims to determine the use of ethnomedicine and the importance of a plant in the herbal medicine pa’i piri in the Dompu District. Sando lo’i and herbal medicine producers were informants obtained through snowball sampling and structured interviews were conducted. The data was collected in the form of components, composition, method of manufacture, method of use, dosage, frequency of use, duration of use, and the efficacy of herbal medicine pa’i piri. Information is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Quantitative analysis uses Use Value (UV), Index of Cultural Significance (ICS), and Fidelity Level (FL). The results showed that there were 36 species used by 25 informants for the manufacture of herbal medicine pa’i piri. Pa’i piri herbal medicine can be efficacious for 23 indications obtained from research. The highest UV values ​​were Syzygium aromaticum, Zingiber officinale, and Curcuma longa Linn. with a value of 6.46 and the lowest is Allium ascalonicum L. with a value of 0.5. The highest ICS value was Allium sativum 'Solo garlic' with a value of 660 and the lowest ICS value was Spondias pinnata with a value of 4.5. FL values ​​range from 4 to 100%. Based on the results of the analysis, plants with high values ​​are plants that are often used in the manufacture of herbal medicine pa’i piri.

Abstract

Vitamin C is a compound that cannot be formed by the body itself. Vitamin C is needed to regulate metabolic processes and normal body functions. Lack of vitamin C can cause a decrease in the immune system. During a pandemic, vitamin C is needed to improve the immune system to prevent and fight disease infections. The pandemic has caused an increase in the need and price of vitamin C supplements in the market. Fulfilling the body’s vitamin C needs can use alternatives such as Moringa leaves and green spinach. This study aims to determine the levels of vitamin C in Moringa leaves and green spinach with variations in temperature and concentration. Analysis of vitamin C was carried out using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 516 nm. The results of the determination of vitamin C levels in Moringa leaves and green spinach obtained the highest levels of 24,9948% and 19,0205%, and the lowest levels of 2,2456% and 1,8710%. The results of the ANOVA test showed that there was a significant difference in the levels of vitamin C obtained at the given temperature and concentration variations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi senyawa capcaisin pada buah cabai rawit serta untuk mengetahui aktifita antibakteri. Dari hasil penelitian telah berhasil dilakukan isolasi senyawa capcaisin dari buah cabai rawit (Capsicum fruktescens L) di diperoleh randemen sebesar 23,31%, dengan menggunakan pelarut aseton sebnayak 500 ml dengan menggunakan metode ektraksi secara maserasi. Analisis gugus fungsi dengan menggunakan FT-IR Dari hasil analisi spektrofotometer inframerah (IR) menunjukkan pita serapan pada daerah bilangan gelombang 3453,2 cm-1 memberikan putunjuk adanya Gugus –OH stretching dengan intensitas serapan menengah dan bentuk pita yang melebar. Kemudian Pita yang muncul pada daerah gelombang 2956,6 cm-1 merupakan gugus –NH streaching, dugaan ini didukung dengan adanya serapan yang muncul pada daerah 1467 cm-1 gelombang yang merupakan bangkokan NH bending (scissoring), munculnya pita serapan yang tajam pada daerah 1498,9 cm-1 dan 1467 cm-1 menunjukkan adanya gugus C=C aromatik dan menunjukkan bahwa Kristal hasil pemurnian tersebut merupakan suatu amida sekunder karena menyerap didaerah dekat 1500 cm-1. Pita serapan yang muncul pada daerah bilangan gelombang 2920,1 cm-1 dan 2850,1 cm-1merupakan gugus –CH stretching dari CH3 dan CH2. Sementara regangan C=O karbonil muncul pada daerah bilangan gelombang 1718,0 cm-1 sedangkan pita serapan yang muncul pada daerah bilangan gelombang 1250,2 cm-1 merupakan vibrasi regangan asimetrik C-O dari system C-O-C atau O-CH3. Berdasarkan hasil Infra red (IR) diduga bahwa isolate merupakan suatu senyawa capcaisin dengan adanya gugus –OH, -NH, -CH2, -CH3, C=C, C=O dan O-CH3. Senyawa capcaisin hasil isolasi efektif sebagai antibakteri terhadap bakteri Salmonella typhi pada kosentrasi 100% dengan rerata diameter zona hambat sebesar 11,6 %.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of Sound Wave Science in the culture of the Beleq Drum of the Sasak Tribe. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. Concept analysis is used to analyze the concept of science, especially sound wave material in the Beleq Drum Culture of the Sasak Tribe which will later be developed into a culturally integrated LKPD. The results obtained are the existence of the Science Concept, especially in the sound wave material in the Beleq drum culture of the Sasak tribe, especially when playing the Beleq drum musical instrument when the drum is beaten, it will produce sound waves that will later be heard by the human sense of hearing. This can be used as a science learning medium that is quickly understood by students because the Beleq drum culture is a culture that is often found by students and a culture that must be preserved.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping high-quality human resources. The implementation of an independent curriculum requires teachers to foster critical thinking, exploration, and problem-solving skills in students. This study aims to develop a science module based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with an ecotourism perspective in Tahura Nuraksa NTB using the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The developed module enables direct observation of natural phenomena, promotes systematic and analytical thinking, and employs concise, clear language supported by relevant images. The findings indicate that this module enhances student engagement and conceptual understanding, making it an effective learning resource in science education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Socio-Scientific Issue (SSI) teaching approach on the chemical science literacy skills of students at MA NW Kembang Kerang. The indicators of science literacy skills measured include the ability to explain scientific phenomena, identify scientific problems, and use evidence in a scientific manner. This research utilizes a Quasi-Experiment design with a pre-test and post-test control group design, conducted in class XI at MA NW Kembang Kerang, involving 41 students. The control class (XI MIPA 1) was taught conventionally, while the experimental class (XI MIPA 2) used the Socio-Scientific Issue teaching approach. Data on chemical science literacy were collected using a test instrument administered before and after the teaching process. The data were analyzed using the N-Gain test and used to draw conclusions. The results of the study show that the SSI teaching approach has an effect on students' chemical science literacy, based on the t-test results where thitung > ttabel. The increase in chemical science literacy in the experimental class is categorized as moderate (N-Gain = 0.60), while the control class is in the low category (N-Gain = 0.28). It is expected that these results can assist both teachers and students in chemistry learning that connects school learning with contextual issues in daily life.

Abstract

Edu-ecotourism in the context of science learning is an educational approach that integrates the concept of ecotourism into the learning process, which offers an effective way to teach science material contextually, experience-based, and relevant to everyday life and can instill an attitude of caring for the environment around students, so that learning becomes more enjoyable and meaningful. However, the fact in the field is that there are still many schools that have not been able to implement edu-ecotourism-based science learning due to various obstacles including the availability of edu-ecotourism-based teaching materials and the lack of teacher knowledge about edu-ecotourism. From previous research, researchers have developed ecotourism/ethnoscience-based science teaching materials that connect community knowledge of the cultural products of the Sasak, Samawa and Mbojo tribes with chemistry or science materials, but have not been widely implemented in schools. Based on the role of edu-ecotourism in the context of science learning in schools is very important, the implementation of ecotourism-based science teaching materials is necessary. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of ecotourism-based science teaching materials at SMPN East Lombok Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the existing phenomena in depth regarding the implementation of ecotourism-based science teaching materials at SMPN East Lombok Regency, including the obstacles faced by teachers and students, as well as the learning experiences of students obtained after the learning. The research instrument was the research team with the help of questionnaires, observation sheets and interview guidelines. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative data were analyzed using an interactive model. The implementation of ecotourism-based science teaching materials went very well and was received positively by the majority of teachers. A total of 45 teachers actively tried to use at least two of the five teaching materials socialized in their classroom learning. The results of in-depth interviews with 15 teachers stated that the teaching materials used helped them bridge the gap between the theory in textbooks and the reality that exists in the students' environment. Teachers felt that abstract science concepts became easier for students to understand when they saw their direct application in their culture and local wisdom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan e-modul kimia terintegrasi ekowisata gerabah Banyumulek melalui model pembelajaran etnopedagogi dalam melatih kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Subjek penelitian meliputi 34 siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Mataram pada uji coba terbatas dan 51 siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Mataram pada uji coba skala luas. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri atas lembar validasi ahli, angket kemandirian belajar, angket respons guru dan peserta didik, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta tes berpikir kritis dengan format pretest–posttest. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa e-modul memiliki tingkat validitas sangat baik (0,97) dan reliabilitas baik (0,81). Uji coba menunjukkan bahwa e-modul praktis digunakan dengan skor respons siswa sebesar 3,91. Analisis N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan kemandirian belajar sebesar 63,65% dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 72%. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi ekowisata dalam e-modul kimia tidak hanya memperkuat pemahaman konsep termokimia, tetapi juga mengembangkan kesadaran budaya lokal serta mendorong pembelajaran kontekstual yang lebih bermakna. Secara praktis, penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan perangkat ajar berbasis kearifan lokal yang dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran kimia di era Kurikulum Merdeka.
