This study aims to determine: the leadership effectiveness of farmer groups leader, factors related to the leadership effectiveness of farmer groups leader, diffusion of innovation rate of integrated paddy crop cultivation, and related between the leadership effectiveness and the speed of diffusion of innovation integrated paddy crop cultivation. This research was conducted in the Palas Jaya Village and Pulau Tengah Village Palas District of South Lampung regency. The research samples were drawn by purposive sampling in whiich the total sample were 64 farmers, 16 leadership of farmer groups and 48 members of farmer groups. The study was conducted from January to February 2016 by survey method. The relationship between variables was tested by Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed that the leadership effectiveness of farmer groups leader at Palas Jaya Village and Pulau Tengah Village was effective, factors related to the leadership effectiveness of farmer groups leader were motivation of farmer groups leader, enthusiastic of farmer groups leader, and the responsibilities of farmer groups leader, the rate of diffusion of integrated paddy crop cultivation in the Palas Jaya Village and Pulau Tengah Village included in the category of fast enough, there wasn’t relation between the leadership effectiveness of farmer groups leader and the speed of diffusion of integrated paddy crop cultivation in the Palas Jaya Village and Pulau Tengah Village.Key words: diffusion of innovation, integrated paddy crop cultivation, leadership

The purposes of this research are to analyze farmers adoption level on Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), factors related to the adoption level, and the constraints faced by farmers in the implementation of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP). This research was conducted in Kota Agung subdistrict of Tanggamus district, by interviewing 74 respondents, mangosteen farmers who joined and applied Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) at Kota Agung. Data were collected using a survey method with descriptive analysis and Rank Spearman correlation test to examine hypothesis. The results showed that adoption level of mangosteen farmers on GAP is included on a medium classification (64,86%), the factors related are experience of farming, formal education level, characteristics of innovation, and level of cosmopolite characteristic, while the unrelated factors are land area and capital availability. The constraints faced are unpredictable weather conditions, pests and plant diseases, price determination by traders, lack of information and knowledge of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), and unpublished Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) land registration number in Penanggungan village.Key words: adoption level, good agriculture practices (GAP), mangosteen farmers

Indicators of Corporate Social Responsibility programs by PT PLN Tarahan Power Sector, South Lampung are suitability, sustainability, and sociality of CSR programs. CSR programs are given for community and the environment. People who receive the programs will have perceptions. The external and internal factors of individuals suspected related to the perceptions are people’s age, gender, educational level, emotional level, income level, the number of family members, and benefits of CSR programs. The purposes of this research are to determine the level of implementation of CSR programs, the level of community’s perceptions on CSR programs, and the factors related to community’s perceptions. This research uses a survey method. The number of samples in this research are 84 households in “Dusun” Mataram, Sukamaju, Gotong Royong, and Kampung Baru. The results showed that the implementation of CSR programs by PT PLN has not been successful because not all people were involved in the programs, and the programs were not suitable to community’s needs. The level of community’s perceptions on CSR programs was not good and the factors significantly correlated to community’s perceptions were people’s age, educational level, emotional level, and benefits of CSR programs. This research aimed to analyze the implementation race of achievement BP3K in Lampung Province, scores and aspects of the North Raman BP3K in 2015, and the income of farmers assisted by The North Raman BP3K East Lampung Regency. This research was conducted in North Raman Subdistrict East Lampung District. Respondents of this research were 53 peoples, that consist of 10 agricultural extension workers who were selected by purposive sampling method and 43 farmers who were selected by simple random sampling. Implementation race of achievement BP3K in Lampung Province was analyzed descriptively. The result of this research showed that achievement BP3K votes in Lampung Province in 2015 conducted by the method of selection requirements, administrative, and field observations. Aspects of assessment were analyzed descriptively using tabulation. Aspects of assesment includes: facility, infrastructure, human resources, operational management, and activities. The five aspects were scored between 2 to 861. The result of research on The North Raman BP3K provisionally got a score of 783 points, and include the category successfully. Assisted farmers income increased by 3.9 percent a year before and after The North Raman being achivement BP3K.Key words: assisted, achievements, BP3K

This research aims to analyze the economic and noneconomic benefits received by the members, the participation level of cooperative members and affecting factors. This research was purposively conducted at KSP Subur Makmur Sejahtera, Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung Regency from January to February 2018 with 48 respondents randomly taken by using Simple Random Sampling method. Data were collected by using a survey method and were analyzed descriptively using Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Seemingly Unrelated Regressions (SUR). The results showed that the average of economic benefits received was Rp789,05.,62 per year, and noneconomic benefits received as the satisfaction level of cooperative members was classified at the level of satisfied members. The participation level of the cooperative members attending annual meeting, paying compulsory savings, and utilizing the cooperative enterprises were each considered as average, low, and high category. Factors which affected members to participate in attending annual meeting were age, formal and nonformal education, the number of dependent family members, noneconomic benefits, distance, and members’ perception. Mean while formal education, noneconomic benefits, and distance affected the participation level of compulsory savings payment. Lastly, ages, formal and nonformal education, the number of dependent family members, economic benefits, and distance affected the utilization of cooperative enterprises.Key words : cooperative, members, benefits, participation

The purposes of this study are to analyze level of Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs)’s performance in Technical Implementation and factors related to the level of the performance in working area of Jati Agung Subdistrict of Lampung Selatan District,. This research was conducted in Jati Agung Subdistrict of Lampung Selatan District in September-October 2017. Respondents were 76 randomly selected rice farmers in the area. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and Rank Spearman correlation test. The results indicated that the level of performance of AEWs in Technical Implementation is included ina medium category. Reward system is significantly related to the level of AEWs’ performance, while motivation level, income level, education level, number of farmers, and distance of residency are not significantly related to the level of AEWs’ performance in Technical Implementation Unit Jati Agung Subdistrict.Key words: AEW, performance, Technical implementation unit

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is a vital element for company in order to manage good relationship with local people and surroundings. CSR were made to maintain the balance between corporate interests and the welfare of surrounding community. Hence, this study aims to find out the level of CSR Program implementation at PT Bukit Asam Unit Pelabuhan Tarahan, the perception of society and company, and the relationship between the perception and the level of the CSR Program implementation. The location of this study has been chosen puposively in Tarahan Village, Panjang Subdistrict, Bandar Lampung. Respondents of this research were 61 of local people and 6 of company staffs. Data were collected in April - May 2017. This research used a survey method with descriptive analysis and used nonparametric statistics test correlation Rank Spearman to test the hypothesis. The results showed that the level of program implementation is in a high classification, the perception of society on CSR Program is in good classification, the perception of company to CSR Program is also in good classification. There is no significant correlation between the perception of society and program implementation, in other hand there is significant correlation between the perception of company and program implementation of PT Bukit Asam Unit Pelabuhan Tarahan. This research aims to analyze the internal and external environment, formulate development strategies, and determine the priority strategies of KUD Mina Teluk Semangka. This research uses a case study method. Respondents involved 13 people consisting of administrators and members of cooperatives, experts and regulators. Data analysis methods used are qualitative descriptive analysis, SWOT analysis, and QSPM. The results indicated that internally, cooperatives have the main strength on its business units that are complement each other and suitable to the needs of members, while the main weakness is on the absence of processing.to add value of the products Externally, cooperatives face great opportunities on high level of demand on fish and face the main threat on lack of public awareness in working together. The priority strategies that can be used in developing cooperatives are as the following: utilizing and enhancing the ability of members to diversify their products using fishery product processing technology, collaborating with the government and other parties in creating tourism-based business unit, utilizing trained human resources to overcome limitations in keeping up with technological developments, and increasing awareness of the community in cooperation and members in paying mandatory savings.Key words: cooperative, fisheries, SWOT analysis, QSPM

The purposes of this study are to determine the communication behavior of pepper farmers, characteristics of pepper farmers and analyze the correlation between farmers’ characteristics and communication behavior in fulfilling pepper farming information. This research was conducted in Sukadana Baru Village, Marga Tiga District, East Lampung regency in August 2018. This location was chosen purposively with consideration that Sukadana Baru Village is a village with the largest area and pepper production in East Lampung. The number of samples in this study were 43 pepper farmers. This study used a survey method, and data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and rank Spearman test. The results showed that all respondent farmers were at the productive age level with an average age of 42 years, average level of basic education of 9 years, the average cultivated area of 2.00 hectares, pepper farming experience 22 years, and the average monthly income of Rp2,591,382.00. Communication behavior of farmers in fulfilling pepper farming information fell into the medium category. There was a significant correlation between farmer's age, land size, and income with communication behavior in fulfilling pepper farming information.Key words: communication behavior,farmer characteristics, pepper

This research aims to analyze the level of community participation and factors related to the participation of the community in Lampung Mangrove Center (LMC) program in Margasari Village, Labuhan Maringgai, East Lampung Regency. The location was purposively chosen with the consideration that the activity of the center was in Margasari consisting of 12 hamlets. The research was conducted in June – August 2017. The results showed that the level of participation of most community members is included in a medium classification. Formal education level and cosmopolite characteristics relate significantly to their participation, while their age, the length of staying in the village, and their knowledge on the program do not relate to their participation.Key words: community, participation, program LMC
