Abstract

Telah dilakukan telaah teoretis tentang proses pemantulan dan pembiasan gelombang elektromagnetik terpolarisasi-p pada sisi kiri bahan magnet FeF2 dengan Konfigurasi Voigt. Telaah ini dilakukan dengan cara memformulasikan nilai dari gelombang datang, gelombang terpantul dan gelombang terbiasnya kemudian digunakan persamaan isotrop linier untuk membuktikan kebenaran dari persamaan yang didapat setelah itu digunakanlah persamaan tersebut untuk mengetahui grafik nilai dari reflektansi dan transmitansinya dengan bantuan software Matlab. Dari telaah teoretis ini didapatkan informasi bahwa reflektansi (R) dan transmitansi (T) pada bagian sisi kiri bahan magnet FeF2 bersifat resiprok yang berarti tidak terjadi perubahan nilai ketika terjadi perubahan tanda medan magnet dari luar (H0) maupun perubahan tanda sudut datang (θ).

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang desain inti teras reaktor (core) model mesh triangular pada reaktor CANDU menggunakan bahan bakar daur ulang thorium. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menentukan persentase bahan bakar yang memenuhi standar kekritisan, menentukan ukuran dan konfigurasi teras reaktor yang memenuuhi standar kekritisan selanjutnya menentukan distribusi rapat daya pada reaktor CANDU. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan persentase bahan bakar yang digunakan yaitu pada bagian 1 dari pengayaan 4% - 8% dengan rentang 0,5% dan pada bagian 2 pengayaan tetap yaitu 8%. Didapatkan persentase bahan bakar yang memenuhi standar kekritisan yaitu pada persentase pengayaan bagian 1 sebesar 5,5% dan pengayaan bagian 2 sebesar 8% yang menghasilkan keff = 1,0000001. Selanjutnya didapatkan juga ukuran dan konfigurasi teras reaktor yaitu pada (x) 22 pada titik (y) 553,67873 cm dan pada (y) 11 pada titik (x) 553,67873 cm dengan menghasilkan nilai rapat daya maksimum yaitu 228,6517 Watt/cm3. Kemudian pada penelitian ini juga menghasilkan nilai rapat daya rata-rata yang diperoleh pada (x) sebesar 148,3590 Watt/cm3 dengan memiliki faktor puncak daya sebesar 1,541206 dan rapat daya rata-rata yang diperoleh pada (y) sebesar 153,1496 Watt/cm3 dan memiliki faktor puncak daya sebesar 1,492996.

Abstract

Kompetensi pengelolaan laboratorium yang dimiliki tenaga laboratorium Fisika SMA di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah masih rendah dan laboratorium Fisika belum diberdayakan secara optimal. Kemampuan dan kesempatan untuk mengikuti pelatihan pengelolalaan laboratorium dan pengambangan bagi pengelola laboratorium Fisika SMA masih minim. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan dan penngembangan guru fisika sebagai pengelola laboratorium Fisika SMA di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil pembelajaran berparktikum. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi: tes awal, pemaparan materi (ceramah dan diskusi), dan tes akhir. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan selama dua hari, yaitu tanggal 12—13 Agustus 2020, bertempat di SMAN 1 Terbanggi Besar Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Kegiatan diikuti oleh oleh 35 orang guru, yang berasal dari 18 kecamatan di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Hasil tes awal menunjukkan bahwa nilai tes awal terendah 10, tertinggi 60, dan rata-rata 42,29. Sedangkan hasil tes akhir diperoleh nilai terendah 50, tertinggi 100, dan rata-rata 77,43. Hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai tes awal dan tes akhir dengan nilai terendah meningkat 40%, nilai tertinggi meningkat 67 %, dan rata-rata meningkat 97 %.

Abstract

The research was carried out about the effect of adding corn cob ash on mortar's physical and mechanical properties. Mortar was molded with three compositions, i.e., portland cement, corn cob ash, and corn husk fiber. Corn cob ash was burned at a temperature of 700  for 2 hours. Corn husk fiber was mechanically sliced up to 0.8 mm in size. Then, mortar molding and maintenance were processed for 28 days. The mortars that had reached the age of 28 days were tested according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), including physical properties (density) and mechanical properties (compressive strength, flexural strength, splitting tensile strength). Characterization of microstructure, morphology, and composition of all elements on the mortar's surface was processed using Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The research results show the influence of adding corn cob ash on mortar's physical and mechanical properties. The mortar with the most optimum physical and mechanical properties has a composition of 82:6:12. The characterization results using SEM-EDS show that the surface of this composition sample is better than other samples. The most dominant elements in the mortar are elements of Ca and Si, which function as mortar binders and hardeners.

Abstract

Background: Pembelajaran Fisika, Kimia, Matematika, Biologi dan Teknologi Informasi-Komputer (TIK) atau disingkat MIPA-TIK di level Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) merupakan salah satu bagian dari komponen pendidikan tersebut. Pemahaman yang baik dan benar dari siswa SMA tentang MIPA-TIK diperlukan agar siswa SMA tidak lagi memandang mata pelajaran tersebut sebagai ilmu pengetahuan yang sukar. Oleh karena itu tingkat kualitas pemahaman guru-guru mata pelajaran tersebut di Provinsi Lampung umumnya dan Kabupaten Lampung Selatan khususnya, memegang peranan yang sangat penting. Metode: Evaluasi dilakukan pada awal kegiatan (pre-test) dan akhir kegiatan (post-test) untuk melihat keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini. Hasil: Hasil post-test dibanding pre-test sebesar 45,8%. Kesimpulan: terjadi peningkatan kemampuan atau kompetensi guru-guru dalam menyampaikan materi mata pelajaran tersebut secara baik dan benar.

Abstract

Styrofoam has many negative impacts because it harms health, pollutes the environment, and cannot decompose in nature. Efforts have been made to develop biofoam derived from natural kinds of stuff to reduce the harmful effects of styrofoam. So that they are safer and do not pollute the environment. Biofoam in this study was made from tapioca starch, corncob fiber, a binding polymer in the form of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), and a superhydrophobic agent in the form of silica aerogel. This research was conducted to determine the effect of variations in the composition of corncob fiber on the physical properties of biofoam with the addition of silica aerogel. The production of corncob fiber was carried out in two stages, namely using 10% NaOH to remove lignin and bleaching using 10% H2O2 to bleach the fibers, which were then combined into the biofoam mixture. The production of biofoam used the thermopressing method with a temperature of 150° and pressed for 4 minutes with fiber variations of 13.75g, 16.25g, 18.75g, and 21.25g. Add conclusion of the research is 18.75 g of fiber with a water absorption value of (1.2 ± 0.2)%, a density of (0.5 ± 0.1)g/cm3, and a compressive strength of 3.60 MPa.

Abstract

Pertanian cerdas yang terintegrasi dengan IoT menjadi kebutuhan yang sangat penting ditengah tingginya jumlah penduduk serta lahan pertanian yang semakin sempit. Sistem IoT memanfaatkan jaringan internet untuk mengontrol dan memonitor lahan pertanian dengan memanfaatkan device wifi NodeMCU dan sensor. Kestabilan koneksi jaringan internet menjadi sangat penting untuk sustainability sistem dalam keadaan on atau online karena proses pertanian seperti irigasi dan pemupukan tergantung pada konektivitas jaringan internet. Analisis prosedur koneksi ulang sistem IoT untuk menjaga sustainability sistem dalam keadaan on atau online dengan cara membandingkan dengan sistem IoT device wifi NodeMCU tanpa prosedur koneksi ulang. Analisis ini menghasilkan sistem IoT device wifi NodeMCU yang mampu melakukan koneksi ulang secara otomatis ketika koneksi jaringan internet terputus. Hasil pengujian menunjukan koneksi ulang dengan baik ketika NodeMCU A terputus dari router pada pukul 11:15 sampai dengan 12:00 dan NodeMCU B tidak dapat terkoneksi ulang dengan router. Abstract

Research has been carried out to analyze the effect of variations in silica concentration on the synthesis of γ-Al2O3. This research was conducted to determine the variation of Silica against the support γ-Al2O3which is the best as a hydrotreating catalyst in the green fuel industry by using several physical characteristics and analyzing the effect of silica variations on the surface area, pore volume, and pore size of the support. This study uses materials such as Boehmite (AlOOH), equates, 25% NH4OH solution, 6% HNO3, and several variations of Silica such as (Carboxyl, SIRAL, and ZSM). In the process of making supports γ-Al2O3with the sol-gel method in order to homogenize the solutions and silica powders as a buffer variant, it becomes AlOH powder, which is then printed with a press and calcined at a temperature of 550oC gradually to become powder.buffer γ-Al2O3. From the study results, the best variation of γ-Al2O3 silica buffer was carboxyl with a concentration of 6% because several characterization studies showed superior results to γ-Al2O3 support without silica variation. The results of the Surface Area Analyzer characterization greatly affect the hydrotreating catalyst process in the green fuel industry, namely the γ-Al2O3 buffer with the addition of 6% silica carboxyl concentration. This is because a large surface area, pore size, and large pore volume can contain more impregnant solution, and the amount of active phase dispersed will also be greater.

Abstract

In this study, we conducted the extraction of silver nitrate (AgNO3) using the chemical reduction evaporation method, involving silver metal (Ag) with a molarity of 7.716 M and nitric acid (HNO3). The heating process via evaporation was carried out at 85oC for 2 hours. Subsequently, the synthesis of silver nanowires (AgNWs) was performed using a 0.3 M of AgNO3 solution in ethylene glycol (EG), polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), and Iron (III) Chloride hexahydrate (FeCl36H2O). XRD analysis of the AgNO3 sample revealed an orthorhombic crystal structure with a single AgNO3 phase peak. In AgNWs, three crystalline phases were observed, with the Ag phase being the most dominant. The average crystal size of AgNO3 and AgNWs was 109.42 nm and 22.06 nm, respectively. The average crystal size of the AgNO3 sample may be influenced by the aggregation between crystal nuclei during the heating process. XRF analysis indicated a 98.84% Ag concentration in AgNO3. SEM-EDS analysis showed that the AgNO3 sample had a non-aggregated morphological structure, with particle size measuring 49.46 μm and an overall AgNO3 purity of 92.68%. The SEM image of the AgNWs sample displayed a very homogeneous diameter of ∼200 nm with a length of around 10-20 μm. Meanwhile, AgNWs exhibited a morphology resembling rod-shaped wires with a purity of 68% for Ag.

Abstract

Germination is a critical phase in seed plants. Germination is vulnerable to drought stress. Apart from external factors, long seed storage can also affect seed viability. The magnetic field is known to positively impact the germination process because it can increase the activity of the α-amylase enzyme. Lumbung Sewu Cantik is a local upland rice variety from Lampung, Indonesia. This study aims to determine the impact of exposure to a magnetic field of 0,2 mT for 11 minutes 44 seconds (M1) in improving the germination of LSC rice seeds given accelerated aging (So) and drought by 20% PEG 6000 (D1). The parameters observed were germination rate index (GRI), mean germination time (MGT), germination index (GI), final germination percentage (FGP), and percentage of abnormal germination (PAG). This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The experimental units consisted of Sn (normal seeds as control), SoD1, SoM1, and SoM1D1. Each treatment was repeated five times. The data obtained were tested for normality, analyzed of variance, and further analyzed with DMRT at the α = 0,05 level. The results showed that the magnetic field could accelerate germination in the SoM1 treatments based on the MGT parameters. The magnetic field also reduced the percentage of abnormal seedlings in the SoM1D1 treatments compared to those without a magnetic field (SoD1 treatments).
