Abstract

This research aims to understand the strategic role of boarding school culture in improving organizational effectiveness. It is hypothesized that boarding school cultures affect the organization's effectiveness. This writing uses a mixed-method research design consisting of extensive empirical surveys followed by semi-structured and focused group interviews and relevant document checks. The data reported are based on an empirical survey involving six boarding school leaderships in Southeast Aceh County followed by interviews and focused group discussions with all related stakeholders. The possibility of general application of the findings is limited by the organization's scope, sample, and cultural context of the study. The application of the oldest strategy in the organization's cultural elements are the value of independence, the value of development, and the value of regeneration. The findings suggest that when the boarding school culture is developed effectively, it will shape positive behaviors that collectively impact boarding school organizations' increased effectiveness. Effective boarders were able to create a fundamental order for Aceh society because it managed to keep existing cultural values. The personification is traditionally inherited through the teacher's relationship to his saints in the building of the system that is formed and can be seen from the values of existing boarding school culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh faktor citra lembaga yang memerlukan perhatian dan ini bukanlah hal yang dapat diabaikan. Pentingnya menjaga citra sekolah ialah agar sekolah mampu mempertahankan eksistensinya sehingga sekolah dapat terus menjalankan program pendidikan sesuai sistem pendidikan nasional yang berlaku. Sekolah yang mampu menjalankan sistem pendidikan nasional sebagaimana yang telah ditetapkan maka akan mampu membangun citra positif pada masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan citra lembaga di SD Islamic Center Samarinda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan model interaktif Miles dan Hubberman yakni kondensasi data, penyajian data, verifikasi atau kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan citra lembaga ialah dengan cara 1) mengimplementasi program-program pendidikan yang telah dibuat (Pembinaan sholat, Pembinaan karakter, Ayo membaca, Aktivitasku, Kunjungan edukatif, Qoilullah (tidur siang), Mabit (malam bina taqwa), Tahfidz, Qiro’ati, Outbound, Parenting, Pengajian, dan Tarhib Ramadhan). 2) Inovasi pendidikan (perubahan pada nama program-program yang awalnya “home reading” diubah menjadi “ayo membaca”, program “daily activity” diubah menjadi “aktivitasku”, dan juga membuat kurikulum khas SD Islamic Center yaitu kurikulum Asmaul Husna). 3) Menyediakan buku-buku yang menarik (buku yang dikemas dalam bentuk komik seperti kisah Muhammad Al-Fatih dalam menaklukan Konstantinopel dan kisah Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi. 4) Mempublikasi setiap agenda dan prestasi yang dihasilkan oleh SD Islamic Center Samarinda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan pola komunikasi kiai dalam membangun komitmen guru di Pesantren Nabil Husein Samarinda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Kiai di Pesantren Nabil Husein Samarinda telah berhasil menjalankan fungsi-fungsi kepemimpinan Pesantren khususnya dalam membangun komitmen guru. Hal tersebut dapat dicapai melalui strategi komunikasi edukatif-persuasif. Strategi komunikasi edukatif-persuasif dalam membangun komitmen guru di Pesantren Nabil Husein Samarinda dilakukan dengan empat (4) cara yaitu: Pertama, memanfaatkan kekharismatikan kiai, kiai dalam memberikan uswah (keteladanan) bagi guru dalam hal nilai-nilai spiritual, diantaranya dari hal adab, ibadah yang langsung dicontohkan oleh kiai. Kedua, guru di Pesantren memiliki komitmen terhadap pesantren karena melihat keluasan ilmu kiai lebih utama ilmu dalam bidang agama (tafaqquh fiddin) dan ilmu hikmah yang dimiliki  kiai. Ketiga, Kiai memotivasi guru untuk terus meningkatkan kompetensi melalui pendidikan, pelatihan, pembinaan, pengembangan karier dan lain-lain. Keempat, guru di Pesantren memiliki komitmen terhadap Pesantren karena melihat sikap  kiai serta kedekatan kiai dengan guru dan masyarakat Pesantren Nabil Husein Samarinda.

Abstract

Curriculum is the starting point of‘anSeducation. A good curriculum is a curriculum that is based on relevant curriculum development principles. Both relevant to the times, the needs of market prey, and relevant to religion. However, the frequent occurrence of curriculum’changes in Indonesia illustrates that there are still problems in our educational curriculum.SThe purposeSof this research is to find out whether theSAl Hikmah Integrated PAUD Islamic education institution has developed its institutional curriculum based on existing curriculum development principles. The research uses descriptive qualitative methods through questionnaires given to research targets related to the principlesSof curriculum development and literature study toSanalyze research results.SThe results ofSthe analysis of this research are that the Al Hikmah Integrated PAUD Islamic education institution has used curriculum principles both in general and specifically, so that institutions can brand themselves to continue to develop amidst the progress of the times.

Abstract

Educational institutions have recently experienced a period of growth which is full of competition, especially the Islamic-based education level which must be fully innovative and better, always updating the right information, making breakthroughs full of strategic innovation and mobilizing skills and commitment among all madrasahs. In fulfilling its mission as an educational level, MI/MTS/MA should be managed as well as possible so as to achieve the vision and mission that has been set. The purpose of this study is to describe the vision of education from the perspective of Islam, psychology, philosophy and sociology. In this study, the vision of education can be seen from several perspectives that are able to interpret the humanistic vision of education, that is, to humanize humans because recently there has been a lot of education that is still wrong in understanding and implementing the vision of education. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods based on literature searches or literature searches. Literature review is an activity related to collecting data on library materials, reading and storing research materials, and analyzing them. The results of the study show that insight into the vision of education based on religion, philosophy, psychology and sociology is the eternal essence of efforts to develop human thinking abilities to develop the perfection of human dignity and worth as God's creatures on earth.

Abstract

One of the most important and fundamental things in the world of education is the curriculum. It is inconceivable that if the curriculum is not designed properly, students will not achieve learning targets that are in accordance with their learning needs and in accordance with their respective times. Therefore, the curriculum is dynamic in adapting to the times and technology as it is today. The aim of this research is to provide information and a clear picture of 21st century learning and 4C skills in achieving the targets and goals of the independent curriculum. The approach method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection uses a research approach in the form of library research. Teachers can form ideas about what and how to teach that can achieve the expected curriculum targets. The learning process in the 21st century emphasizes meaningful and student-centered learning and develops student competencies, especially 21st century skills, namely 4C skills (Critical thinking, Creative, Collaboration, Communication). Through 21st century learning that sparks 4C skills, students can help teachers achieve the targets and goals of the independent curriculum and realize the Pancasila student profile.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan manajeman humas dalam membangun citra lembaga sebagai ujung tombak pendidikan dalam upaya merebut massa. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. instrumen berupa daftar pertanyaan dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Kondensasi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen humas dalam membangun citra lembaga memerlukan perencanaan yang matang, pelaksanaan program yang terstruktur sesuai dengan kinerja organisasi yang profesional, dan pengawasan yang lebih mengarah pada perbaikan kelembagaan. Strategi komunikasi dilakukan dengan komunikasi integratif dalam membangun citra positif lembaga melalui media massa, media sosial, dan komunikasi interpersonal. Evaluasi dan penyesuaian dilakukan secara berkala. Kedua lembaga pendidikan ini memiliki citra yang baik di mata masyarakat sebagai kampus yang memiliki identitas perguruan tinggi gratis bebas SPP, namum dalam perencanaan memiliki beberapa kendala mengenai SDM dan Sumber dana cukup dalam pembiayaannya.Tentu itu sebuah tantangan dalam upaya membangun citra lembaga untuk lebih baik lagi kedepannya.

Marketing education is a step in renewal when an educational institution follow the tight competition to obtain customers. For educational institutions that have good in the implementation of marketing management of education requires only good planning with continuous improvement quality in order to anticipate the demand of the world of work. Abstract

Educational supervision is the main element in building the reputation and quality of education. This research aims to investigate whether educational supervision can serve as a vital instrument in maintaining accountability, enhancing the quality of learning, and preserving the reputation of educational institutions. This research employs a library research methodology. The findings of this study reveal the significant role of supervision in an educational context and outline several benefits it yields. Through the effective supervisory process, schools and educators can identify and address weaknesses in teaching methods, curriculum, and assessment. It not only improves the quality of education but also ensures compliance with national standards. Furthermore, educational supervision helps maintain a positive image of schools and educators, enhances customer satisfaction (students and parents), and makes a substantial contribution to building a strong reputation for education. Thus, educational supervision functions not only as a surveillance instrument but also as the key pillar in creating an outstanding and respected education system.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explain the strategy applied by the Kyai to transform the traditional marriage ceremony of Merariq/Nyongkolan among the sasak people of Lombok into becoming more shari’a friendly tradition. The kiai's communication strategy in changing the tradition of merariq nyongkolan in Sasak Lombok tribal community are: First, kiai as the leader of Pesantren Darul Falah Mataram communicates with the community of Sasak Lombok by using preaching method, bilḥikmah (wise). Second, kiai foster the harmonious relations with internal public and also external public. The kiai utilizes the graduates of Darul Falah to convey the kiai's messages and missions to the community through the majlīs ta’līm or pesantren, Madrasah Diniyah, muṣallā, and the mosques which is led by them. Third, the kiai uses non-verbal communication through a social approach to the community by attending to the celebration's routine such as 'aqīqah, diba’an, marriage celebration, maulīd an-nabiy, death, and other religious events its held in private homes or in mosques and muṣallā. Fourth, the kiai uses communication by using forms of threats to the community, especially the to the gradutes of Pesantren Darul Falah, who if they invite the kiai to the merariq nyongkolan event but still using kecimol music then the kyai will not be present in that event. But, when the community use Islamic music such as rebana, marawis, and with a series of activities those are not contrary to the shari'ah, the kiai will be happy to attend the invitation.Keywords: Communication strategy, cultural change, Merariq Nyongkolan
