Abstract

Using coffee pulp as an alternative feed for ruminant livestock is one solution that can be used to overcome the problem of fluctuating green feed availability. The primary and sustainable goal to be achieved is the intensification and expansion of plantation waste based on Coffee pulp as an alternative feed to increase the utility of Coffee pulp. The specific target to be achieved is to determine the ability of T.viride with various concentrations to improve physical quality and the ability of molds to maintain their population so that they can produce good quality animal feed with good physical condition to support livestock productivity and growth. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with four replications. The treatment consisted of 0 spores/ml, 105 spores/ml, 106 spores/ml, and 107 spores/ml of T. viride addition. The parameters observed were physical quality (color, texture, odor), pH, and number of spores. Based on the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the best treatment of T. viride mold to support a good coffee pulp fermentation process is at a dose of 107 spores/ml of water.

Abstract

Women's empowerment efforts always encounter obstacles and challenges. This paper explores the economic empowerment of women in Saudi Arabia within the context of Saudi Vision 2030, a plan aimed at enhancing women's roles in various sectors. Although existing research has addressed women’s empowerment under this vision, a comprehensive evaluation of the government’s initiatives is still lacking. The study evaluates policies designed to economically empower women, guided by a theoretical framework based on key empowerment elements: agency, access to resources, opportunity structure, and achievement, inspired by the perspectives of Evelyn Derera and Amartya Sen. A qualitative, descriptive approach is used, incorporating secondary data analysis from literature reviews and government reports on Vision 2030. Findings reveal that reforms have increased women’s participation in economic and educational sectors, including partial removal of the male guardianship system. However, challenges such as cultural norms, nepotism, and gender discrimination continue to limit women’s access to higher leadership roles. Despite significant progress, more efforts are required to address these persistent barriers and fully empower women in Saudi Arabia.

Abstract

Nagari Ampek Koto Palembayan has a wealth of natural resources due to its fertile soil and favorable topography. However, with the existing potential, Nagari Ampek Koto Palembayan faces challenges in achieving sustainable development targets, especially in health, animal husbandry, plantations, and the economy. Health problems related to stunting in children, limited animal feed in the livestock sector, pathogen infections that attack banana plants in the plantation sector, and the low price of palm sugar in the economic sector are the main obstacles to improving community welfare. As a form of empowerment, the research team conducted a series of interventions designed to increase community awareness and knowledge on these issues. Socialization and education on nutrition for mothers of toddlers were conducted to reduce stunting rates, training on making animal feed based on agricultural waste aimed at increasing feed availability, and lectures on how to prevent pathogen infections in banana plants aimed at maintaining the sustainability of the plantation sector. In addition, the community was also trained to process palm sugar into a higher value-added product, namely ant sugar. The results of these activities showed an increased understanding of the importance of nutrition for children to prevent stunting and an understanding of agricultural waste management and ant sugar production, which also encouraged the community to utilize existing resources optimally.

Abstract

In post-conflict nations, the state-building process might take up to ten years to provide positive outcomes. This scenario has become increasingly challenging due to the escalation of intolerance among different ethnic groups, leading to incidents of communal violence in the aftermath of the war. Therefore, it is imperative to have ethnic tolerance and cultural understanding in peacekeeping operations that occur in a more intricate setting. The presence of ethnic tolerance among peacekeepers is crucial for ensuring the efficacy of peacekeeping missions. The increase of intolerant perspectives often causes the beginning of ethnic conflicts in multi-ethnic societies. Therefore, the main objective of peacekeepers deployed in these countries is to reinstate peace and security. This study proposes employing an online analysis to assess the ethnic tolerance index among peacekeepers accurately. The suggested method entails collecting and analyzing real-time survey data via a MyETI system dashboard, which may precisely evaluate the ethnic tolerance index score among Malaysian individuals. The MyETI e-survey has 103 questionnaires organized into four main categories: ethnic cross-relationships, governance, ethnic tolerance, and religious beliefs. To achieve the study's goal, 103 Malaysian peacekeepers who have previously been deployed to different United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (UNPKO) will be requested to answer the questions using the MyETI dashboard. The results could enhance the ethical guidelines for cultural competence, prioritizing understanding ethnic tolerance in peacekeeping operations or deployments.

Abstract

On 27 March 2019, India announced the successful test of its kinetic Anti-Satellite space weapon (ASAT) by shooting down a Microsat-R satellite in low earth orbit. The 2019 ASAT test marked a shift in the direction of India's civilian and antiarms space policy since the country's early use of space resources. The research objective is to analyze India's reasons for arming its peaceful space through the 2019 ASAT test using a neorealism perspective, with qualitative research methods and an analytical descriptive approach from secondary data sources. The research results show that China's rise as a challenger to US hegemony and the strong space cooperation between Beijing and Islamabad have the effect of a security dilemma for India. The two countries are India's strategic rivals in the region, so India needs to build deterrence for its vital space assets, as well as an effort to balance forces. Besides that, ASAT arrangements are not yet absolute at this time causing India to need to test the weapon, given India's experience with non-nuclear state status according to the NPT regime. Keywords: Anti-Satellite Test, Neorealism, Space Security, Space Weapon, Space Weaponization.
