Abstract

This research is based on passive student learning activity on science subjects class v in state elementary school 012 Langgini sub-district of Bangkinang Kampar. One of solution to overcome this problem by using Concept Mapping method of (Concept Mapping). The purpose of this study to determine the increase in student learning activities using the Concept Mapping method of (Concept Mapping) on the Subjects of Science Class V Primary School. The method of this research is Class Action Research (PTK) executed in two cycles. collection techniques in the form of observation, interview, documentation. The result of this research can be concluded that student learning activity on cycle I that is, very active student as much as one people (4,45%), active students as much as 10 people (45,45%), quite active students as much as 10 people (45,45%), passive students as much as 1 people (4,45%), in this one cycle belongs to a fairly active category with an average of 50%. And in the cycles II of very active students as much as 7 people (81,82%), active students as much as 11 people (50%), quite active students as much as 4 people (18,18%), passive students as much as 0 people (0%), in cycles II this increases in the active category with the average 67,23%.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah keaktifan belajar siswa IPA kelas VI SDN 035 Indrapuri Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas VI, melalui penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL). Metode yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas guru, dan lembar observasi keaktifan belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan CTL. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil lembar observasi keaktifan belajar siswa pada siklus 1 sebesar 79,60%, kemudian pada siklus 2 meningkat sebesar 80,48% yang berada pada kategori aktif. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa penerapan pendekatan CTL dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa, sehingga berdampak pada peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA kelas VI SDN 035 Indrapuri. Adapun saran yang diberikan yaitu:1. Siswa hendaknya lebih aktif dan kreatif dalam pembelajaran. 2. Guru hendaknya menerapkan pendekatan  CTL pada mata pelajaran lain. 3. Peneliti selanjutnya dapat meningkatkan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan lebih maksimal lagi

Abstract

The internship program is part of a compulsory curriculum that aims to provide direct experience to students in the world of education. This article aims to describe the implementation of the Internship I program carried out by fourth semester students of the PGSD Study Program at Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai University at SDN 010 Langgini. This activity is carried out through observation, interviews, and direct involvement in the learning process and school activities. The results of this internship activity show an increase in students' understanding of school management, the learning process, and instilling student character values. This program not only improves students' pedagogical and social competencies, but also contributes to school activities. Thus, Internship I becomes a forum for community service as well as strengthening the competence of prospective teachers.

Abstract

Social skills are essential to 21st-century education, but many elementary school students in Indonesia still demonstrate low social skills due to the dominance of conventional teacher-centered learning approaches. This study aims to analyze the effect of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on improving elementary school students' social skills and identify the dimensions of social skills that are most influenced by this approach. The study used a quasi-experimental design involving 80 fifth-grade students divided into an experimental group (PjBL) and a control group (conventional learning). The measurement instrument was a social skills test covering six dimensions: cooperation, communication, conflict resolution, empathy, decision-making, and leadership. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests after validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity were confirmed. The results showed statistically significant differences (p < 0.05) between the two groups in all social skill dimensions, with the experimental group showing higher average scores. The dimensions of empathy and leadership showed the highest increases. These findings support social constructivist theory and strengthen the argument that collaborative, contextual learning can effectively develop students' social competencies. The implications of this study include the need for systematic adoption of PjBL in elementary schools as a strategy to support character-building and holistic learning in line with national curriculum requirements and 21st-century social needs.

Abstract

Civic education at the primary level in Indonesia often lacks effectiveness due to conventional instructional methods that fail to engage students meaningfully or foster participatory civic dispositions. The existing literature rarely explores integrative learning models that simultaneously address cognitive understanding and civic attitudes within a single framework. This quasi-experimental study investigates the effect of the Index Card Match (ICM) model on the learning outcomes and civic attitudes of fifth-grade students in civic education. Sixty students from Pekanbaru were divided into experimental and control groups, with pre- and post-tests administered. Data were analyzed using independent t-tests, showing statistically significant improvements in the experimental group for learning outcomes (p = 0.001) and civic attitudes (p = 0.003). The effect sizes were moderate to large, indicating statistical significance and meaningful pedagogical impact. The strength of this study lies in its integrated evaluation of cognitive and affective domains, demonstrating how structured collaborative activities foster deeper conceptual understanding and internalization of civic values such as responsibility, tolerance, and cooperation. These findings offer actionable insights for curriculum developers and teachers to adopt interactive learning models that reinforce academic content and character formation within the elementary civic education context. Abstract

The background of this research is the low listening skills of students in class IV. This research aims to improve the listening skills of class IV students at SDN 008 Rumbio. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), which was carried out in two cycles and each cycle consisted of two meetings. The subjects in this research were all 22 class IV students. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation and test techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is a combination of qualitative data and quantitative data. Based on the results of research that has been carried out over 2 cycles, at meeting 1 of cycle I, there were 6 students who completed the results with a percentage of 27.27% with an overall average of 58.13 and at meeting 2 it increased to 10 students with a percentage of 54.54 % with an overall average of 65.86. Meanwhile, in the second cycle of meeting 1, there were 16 students who completed the meeting with a percentage of 72.72% with an overall average of 77.27 and there was an increase in meeting 2 to 18 students with a percentage of 81.81% with an overall average of 87. 86. Based on the results of this research, it shows that by implementing the snowball throwing learning model, it can improve the listening skills of grade 4 students at SDN 008 Rumbio. .

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah maraknya tindakan bullying yang terjadi khususnya di lingkungan salah satu sekolah dasar di desa Ranah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan gambaran tindakan bullying, penyebab bullying dan dampak bullying bagi korban terutama dalam jangka pendek pada siswa sekolah dasar di desa Ranah. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus, yang dilaksanakan di kelas tinggi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 3 orang guru yaitu wali kelas IV, V, VI dan 41 orang siswa dengan 11 orang kelas IV, 13 orang kelas V dan 17 orang kelas VI. Instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar observasi, lembar wawancara guru dan siswa, lembar dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi gambaran tindakan bullying yang banyak di temui di salah satu sekolah dasar di desa Ranah adalah berupa ejekan, olokan, memilih teman dan menyudutkan teman. Dari hasil wawancara juga ada beberapa orang siswa yang mengaku mendapatkan tindakan kekerarasan seperti ditinju. Namun yang paling banyak ditemui adalah ejekan. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara penyebab terjadinya tindakan bullying ini adalah iri hati, denki, dendam dan sok jagoan. Berdasarkan observasi dan hasil wawancara, dampak dari tindakan bullying bagi korban terutama dalam jangka pendek adalah korban menjadi tidak Percaya diri, korban merasa takut dan sedih bahkan ada yang juga mengaku malas untuk pergi kesekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tiga hal, yaitu: pada penelitian terdahulu ditemukan rendahnya kemampuan belief matematika pada peserta didik. Yang kedua, hasil program PISA terkhusus bidang matematika yang mana untuk bidang matematika, Indonesia menempatkan posisi ke-72 dari 77 negara yang mengikuti program tersebut. Yang ketiga, hasil wawancara dengan guru wali kelas di tiga sekolah dasar yang menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Hasil wawancara tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan belief matematika peserta didik yang masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kemampuan belief matematika di SD yang menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. SD yang diteliti yaitu UPT SD Negeri 007 Bangkinang, UPT SD Negeri 003 Bangkinang, dan SD Negeri 001 Sawah Baru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Kualitatif dengan analisis data secara statistik deskriptif Kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan mewawancarai guru wali kelas di tiga sekolah dasar dan dengan memberikan angket Belief berupa 20 pertanyaan serta dokumentasi. Hasil perhitungan statistik menujukkan untuk kemampuan belief matematika di UPT SDN 007 Bangkinang 79.9, UPT SDN 003 Bangkinang 78.5, dan SDN 001 Sawah Baru 80.4. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan belief matematika di tiga SD ini berada pada kategori baik.

Abstract

Multimodal Texts Implementation in Indonesian Primary and Secondary EFL Classrooms: Prospects and Challenges. This study investigates the prospects and challenges of implementing multimodal texts in Indonesian primary and secondary EFL classrooms. Using a qualitative survey approach, data were collected from 33 English teachers in Malang City via an online questionnaire. Findings revealed that 31 teachers had integrated multimodal texts, such as videos, diagrams, audio, music, picture books, and e-learning tools, into their instruction. Teachers reported benefits, including increased student engagement and a more enjoyable learning experience. However, challenges arose, including students' struggles with multimodal learning, limited internet access, resource constraints, and a need for more teacher training. This study suggests a need for further research to design effective instructional strategies for integrating multimodal texts in EFL, especially for young learners in primary and junior high school in Indonesia. Keywords: multimodal text, primary, secondary, EFL, Indonesia.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v14.i3.2024102

Abstract

Pelatihan ice breaking dan kreativitas guru di Sekolah Dasar (SD) merupakan langkah penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Ice breaking memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, meningkatkan konsentrasi siswa, serta membangun hubungan yang harmonis antara guru dan murid. Kreativitas guru dalam menyampaikan materi juga berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pelatihan ice breaking dalam meningkatkan kreativitas guru SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pelatihan langsung kepada guru-guru SD dengan pendekatan partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pelatihan, guru lebih mampu menciptakan suasana kelas yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pelatihan ice breaking berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas guru dan efektivitas pembelajaran di SD.
