Abstract

The publication of scientific works is a crucial aspect in the development of knowledge and career advancement, especially for teachers. Teachers are not only expected to teach, but also to produce scientific works that contribute to the development of science. Although important, many teachers are reluctant to publish because it requires time, energy, and adjustment to scientific journal standards. However, according to Minister of National Education Regulation No. 35 of 2010, publishing scientific works is a requirement for promotion to a higher rank, such as from Grade IVa to IVb. The challenges teachers face in publishing include a lack of information about relevant journals, difficulties in using submission systems like Open Journal System (OJS), and the limited number of journals managed by teachers themselves. Universities play a crucial role in supporting and assisting teachers by providing information, training, and technical assistance related to scientific publications. This community service program was conducted over three months (July–September 2023) and consisted of the following stages: (1) Establishing communication with the Indonesian Language Teachers' Association (MGMP) of Trenggalek District, (2) Collecting articles (84 articles were submitted via Google Forms), (3) Selecting articles, (4) Reviewing articles, (5) Conducting a scientific article writing training session (on July 25, 2023, attended by 60 participants), and (6) Preparing teachers' scientific articles for publication. This program is not only expected to provide tangible benefits for teachers in developing their publication skills but also to strengthen partnerships between universities and schools in efforts to improve the quality of education and research. Abstract

Ngingrim Hamlet in Pandanrejo Village, Malang Regency, has a rich tradition of sholawat but faces preservation challenges in the digital era due to low technological literacy and lack of documentation. This service activity aims to identify, develop, and optimize the potential of local culture through a digital innovation approach, especially the development of contemporary sholawat as a medium for preserving and promoting religious traditions. The benefits of the service include increasing community digital literacy, active participation of youth in cultural content production, and expanding the reach of da'wah through digital platforms such as YouTube and Instagram. The activity design includes local potential mapping, technical content production training, creative mentoring, and participatory content publication. The results showed that the digitalization of contemporary sholawat succeeded in increasing the involvement of the younger generation, expanding the audience, and creating economic impact through content monetization, despite facing constraints of limited resources and digital literacy. The conclusion of this activity emphasizes that youth engagement, strengthening digital literacy, and multi-stakeholder collaboration are the keys to successful adaptive and sustainable cultural transformation in the modern era.

Abstract

The aim of this community service activity is to collaborate with WCC DMP to increase the role of the Campus Friends Dharma Wanita Forum as paralegal volunteers, develop empowerment strategies, and provide technical guidance for victims in efforts to prevent various forms of violence on campus. This activity is useful for providing education to the public regarding PPKS so that awareness is formed. Apart from that, students can submit complaints and report to the DWP who have received training regarding PPKS. As for lecturers, the effort to involve DWP in PPKS is a positive synergy between lecturers and partners for PPKS, and partners as practitioners will receive a lot of reinforcement regarding PPKS. The activity design consists of coordinating the service team, preliminary survey (informal approach), activity permit process (formal), location identification, brainstorming, FGD, increasing human resource capacity, and activity reporting. The service achievements that have been obtained are in the form of holding ToT training activities for Dharma WanitaSatu volunteers and providing assistance in the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS). The service activity was successfully held involving Dharma Wanita PBB, Directorate General of Research and Technology, Association of Indonesian Women/Gender and Children Study Centers (ASWGI), Dharma Wanita PBB, Universitas Brawijaya PPKS Task Force, Center for Gender Studies, and WCC Dian Mutiara.
