Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi disuatu daerah sangat bergantung pada aksesibilitas dan mobilitas   infrastruktur jalan raya. Ruas Jalan Kubang Raya, Kota Pekanbaru merupakan jalan nasional yang menjadi konektivitas antara daerah Panam dengan daerah lainnya. Beban kendaraan yang overload dan volume lalu lintas yang padat akan mempengaruhi kondisi perkerasan jalan, sehingga pemeliharaan berkala harus direalisasikan agar kondisi jalan tetap terawat dan nyaman untuk dilalui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi perkerasan ruas jalan Kubangraya, Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi Roadroid dan menggunakan metode (IRI) untuk mendapatkan nilai kerataan permukaan jalan. Ad interim itu dalam menilai keadaan jalan menggunakan metode (RCI).   Dari Perhitungan menggunakan aplikasi Roadroid pada jalan Kubangraya, Pekanbaru didapatkan hasil analisa metode IRI : STA 0 + 00 "“ STA 0 + 12000 = IRI rata-rata sebesar 14.24, kondisi jalan adalah buruk. STA 0 + 12000 "“ STA 0 + 00 = IRI rata-rata sebesar 14.48, kondisi jalan adalah buruk. Hasil analisa metode RCI: STA 0 + 00 "“ STA 0 + 12000 = RCI rata-rata sebesar 2.81, kondisi jalan adalah rusak berat, STA 0 + 12000 "“ STA 0 + 00 = RCI rata-rata sebesar 2,77, kondisi jalan adalah rusak berat.

Abstract

This study uses mechanistic-empirical approaches with the Kenpave to test the summary output of the Indonesian Road Pavement Design Manual 2017 (MDPJ 2017) in the analysis of flexible pavement design. The case study is based on an information planning database from the Teluk Lembu Ujung road (STA. 1+900 – 2+900) Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru. The results of the analysis using the MDPJ 2017 obtained a traffic load of 21,777,935 CESAL5. The MDPJ 2017 pavement design chosen to use is 4 cm AC-WC, 6 cm AC-BC, 15.5 cm AC-Base, and  30 cm Crushed Stone Base (Grade A). Based on the analysis of mechanistic-empirical testing with the Kenpave, the MDPJ 2017 road pavement design method obtained results that met the safety criteria of fatigue cracking and permanent deformation testing. In fact, the mechanistic-empirical testing with the Kenpave also obtained safety criteria values even though the thickness of the AC-Base was reduced to 15 cm. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hasil luaran analisis desain perkerasan lentur menggunakan Manual Desain Perkerasan Jalan (MDPJ) 2017 terhadap desain perkerasan lentur jalan menggunakan metode mekanistik empiris dengan program Kenpave. Studi kasus menggunakan data perencanaan pada Jalan Teluk Lembu Ujung STA. 1+900 – 2+900 Kecamatan Tenayan Raya Kota Pekanbaru. Metode analisis desain perkerasan menggunakan MDPJ 2017 kemudian hasilnya diuji berdasarkan analisis mekanistik empiris menggunakan program Kenpave. Hasil analisis menggunakan MDPJ 2017 diperoleh beban lalu lintas sebesar 21.777.935 CESAL5 sehingga desain perkerasan yang dipilih untuk digunakan adalah 4 cm AC-WC, 6 cm AC-BC, 15,5 cm AC-Base, dan 30 cm fondasi atas kelas A. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian mekanistik empiris dengan program Kenpave, desain perkerasan metode MDPJ 2017 tersebut dinyatakan aman dari pengujian kerusakan akibat fatigue cracking dan permanent deformation. Bahkan, pengujian secara mekanistik empiris program Kenpave juga memperoleh nilai yang aman meskipun ketebalan AC-Base dikurangi menjadi 15 cm.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the quality of house buildings using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) model and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). This research uses six main criteria to assess building quality: Material strength, structural design, foundation, construction technology, construction quality, construction costs. With these six variables in determining the evaluation of house building materials. Determining the final ranking of these alternatives is based on their proximity to the ideal solution. Type A House, Type B House, Type C House, Type D House, Type E House and the weight value for each house C1 = 0.2; C2 = 0.1 ; C3 = 0.15 ; C = 0.20 ; C = 0.15; C = 0.2%. The ranking results for Type A Houses were 0.871, Type B Houses 0.874, Type C Houses 0.813, Type D Houses 0.976 and Type E Houses 0.959. The largest value is in Type D House 0.976 so the alternative Type D House 0.976 is the alternative chosen as the best alternative. Meanwhile, the ranking results for the topsis model for Type A Houses are 0.5423, Type B Houses are 0.5302, Type C Houses are 0.2709, Type D Houses are 0.8515 and Type E Houses are 0.959. The largest value is for Type D House 0.976 so that the Type E House alternative 0.8227 is the alternative chosen as the best alternative for Type E house. The research results show that the combination of the SAW and TOPSIS methods is effective in providing a comprehensive and objective evaluation of the quality of earthquake resistant house buildings. . The results of this research can be applied practically in the construction industry to improve the quality of earthquake-resistant house buildings, helping make more accurate and objective decisions.

Abstract

One important aspect in road construction design is considering the service life or design life, which is how long the pavement can withstand traffic loads. This study aims to analyze the design life in relation to pavement thickness design using two methods: the empirical method based on AASHTO 1993 and the mechanistic-empirical method assisted by the KENPAVE program, adapted to the latest provisions in MDPJ 2024. The analysis results indicate that the study location falls into the low-traffic category (1,135,374 < 2 million CESAL5). Calculations of design life using both the empirical and mechanistic-empirical methods indicate that the designed pavement has not yet achieved the 20-year design life as required by MDPJ 2024. The recommendation for the empirical method (AASHTO 1993) is to add an AC-WC layer of 6 cm, while the mechanistic-empirical method (KENPAVE) recommends adding an AC-WC layer of 4 cm. This analysis shows that for locations with low vehicle loads, the use of the empirical method is more effective in analyzing the design life and pavement thickness design because it provides more conservative and practical results. Abstrak Salah satu aspek penting dalam perancangan konstruksi jalan adalah mempertimbangkan masa pelayanan atau umur rencana, yaitu berapa lama perkerasan mampu menahan beban lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis umur rencana terhadap desain ketebalan perkerasan jalan dengan menggunakan dua metode, yaitu metode empiris berdasarkan AASHTO 1993 dan metode mekanistik empiris yang dibantu oleh program KENPAVE, disesuaikan dengan ketentuan terbaru dalam MDPJ 2024. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lokasi penelitian termasuk dalam kategori lalu lintas rendah (1.135.374 < 2 Juta CESAL5). Dari perhitungan umur rencana dengan metode empiris dan mekanistik empiris diperoleh hasil bahwa perkerasan yang dirancang belum mampu mencapai umur rencana 20 tahun sesuai dengan ketentuan MDPJ 2024. Rekomendasi pada metode empiris (AASHTO 1993) yaitu dengan tambahan lapis AC-WC sebesar 6 cm, sedangkan  metode mekanistik empiris (KENPAVE) dengan tambahan lapis AC-WC sebesar 4 cm. Analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk lokasi dengan beban kendaraan rendah, penggunaan metode empiris lebih efektif dalam menganalisis umur rencana dan desain ketebalan perkerasan karena memberikan hasil yang lebih konservatif dan praktis.

Abstract

Tabek Gadang signalized intersection, which links Jl. Soebrantas and Jl. SM Amin, is one of the key intersections in Pekanbaru City that frequently experiences traffic congestion. This issue arises because the intersection serves as a connector for several vital zones, including educational institutions, office areas, commercial centers, and residential neighborhoods, leading to heavy traffic buildup, particularly during rush hours. This issue, the present study proposes an optimization of the signal cycle time using VISSIM-based microsimulation modeling. Main of objective this research to evaluated intersection’s operational performance following the optimization process. The analysis conducted through VISSIM microsimulation reveals that optimizing the signal cycle time from the existing condition to 50 seconds results in a reduction of average delay from 29.6 seconds and improves level of service from category F to D.

Abstract

The importance of mastering skills in statistical analysis in the field of transportation planning and modeling has not been supported by learning to use the SPSS application so that the teaching and learning process is not optimal for students of the Civil Engineering Study Program at Riau University. The purpose of this optimization is to provide knowledge to undergraduate students of Civil Engineering, Riau University in order to gain specific skills, namely modeling trip generation using the SPSS application. Optimization method by introducing the SPSS application and making teaching modules in modeling trip generation, Pre Test to find out student knowledge related to the SPSS application, ending with Post Test activities as evaluation material.  The results of the Pre Test were 50-60% of students did not know the application, while the Post Test results were 90% of students knew the use of the SPSS application in modeling trip generation well. It is hoped that this optimization will increase knowledge and skills which can later become a plus point in the world of work.

Abstract

Terdapat beberapa alternatif transportasi umum yang tersedia untuk para pelaku perjalanan rute Pekanbaru – Medan yaitu bus, travel, dan pesawat terbang. Studi ini mengidentifikasi moda alternatif yang cenderung digunakan dalam setiap standar pelayanan atau kriteria. Selanjutnya menjadi langkah awal dalam meningkatkan standar pelayanan dan moda transportasi umum. Kriteria yang menjadi pertimbangan yaitu tarif, waktu tempuh, kemudahan, keamanan, dan kenyamanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Elimination Et Choix Traduisant La Realite (ELECTRE). Analisis menggunakan metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) menunjukkan hasil kriteria kenyamanan merupakan standar pelayanan utama dalam memilih moda transportasi dengan bobot sebesar 0,2954. Alternatif moda yang diprioritaskan di masing – masing kriteria, yaitu (a) tarif (bus; 0,570); (b) waktu tempuh (pesawat terbang; 0,721); (c) kemudahan (pesawat terbang; 0,421); (d) keamanan (pesawat terbang; 0,549); dan (e) kenyamanan (pesawat terbang; 0,562). Sementara itu, tingkatan alternatif moda secara global dengan menggunakan metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Elimination Et Choix Traduisant La Realite (ELECTRE) menunjukkan hasil yang sama. Dengan metode AHP pemilihan moda didapatkan, yaitu pesawat terbang (49,7%), bus (30%), dan travel (20,3%). Begitu pula dengan metode ELECTRE pemilihan moda didapatkan, yaitu pesawat terbang (51,7%), bus (33,1%), dan travel (15,2%).

Abstract

The signalized intersection of Jl. HR. Soebrantas – Jl. SM. Amin is one of the congestion-prone intersections in Pekanbaru City, particularly due to its location in a peatland area. Peatland conditions, which are characterized by low bearing capacity and high compressibility, limit extensive physical expansion of road infrastructure. At the same time, this intersection serves as a key connector between major activity centers, including educational institutions, offices, commercial areas, and residential zones, resulting in significant traffic congestion and long queues, especially during peak hours. To address these challenges, this study proposes the implementation of a Continuous Green-T (CGT) intersection design as an operational and geometric solution that minimizes the need for large-scale infrastructure modification. The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of the intersection after the implementation of the CGT design using microscopic traffic simulation with VISSIM. The analysis results indicate that the existing condition has an average delay of 62.5 seconds (Level of Service/LOS F), while the implementation of CGT reduces the average delay to 19.3 seconds (LOS C). This demonstrates that the CGT design is effective in reducing intersection delay by 43.2 seconds and improving the Level of Service from F to C, making it a suitable approach for traffic management in physically constrained environments such as peatland areas.

Abstract

Kawasan Danau Bokuok yang berlokasi di Desa Aur Sati, Kecamatan Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau menyimpan beragam potensi wisata yang layak dikembangkan secara terencana. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan menyusun dokumen perencanaan kawasan wisata berbasis pemberdayaan komunitas lokal. Pendekatan yang digunakan mencakup survei lapangan, wawancara pemangku kepentingan, observasi potensi fisik, dan pemetaan menggunakan drone. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan empat potensi unggulan: (1) tradisi Maawuo sebagai atraksi budaya turun-temurun, (2) jalur bersepeda dengan empat alternatif rute sepanjang 3,5 hingga 14,7 km, (3) wisata air berbasis perahu dan kegiatan memancing, serta (4) kuliner khas Kampar sebagai daya tarik pendukung. Kegiatan pengabdian berdampak pada pembentukan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis), tersedianya peta kawasan berskala, dan meningkatnya kapasitas masyarakat dalam tata kelola pariwisata. Pengembangan yang berkelanjutan memerlukan sinergi antara pemerintah desa, dinas pariwisata, akademisi, dan masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

University of Riau (UNRI) Binawidya Campus, has approximately 700 hectares area which consist of 10 faculties. With good pavement conditions and the distance between faculties that are far apart, the characteristics of the speed of vehicles along UNRI Environmental Roads are high. High vehicle speed causes traffic safety problems, infact, increasing the probability of traffic accidents. One of the traffic engineering that has been applied to the UNRI Environmental Road is the installation of Rumble strips at many points on the campus Environment Road. The initial goal with the installation of this noise tape is to reduce vehicle operational speed (traffic calming) and reduce the possibility of accidents. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of rumble strips in reducing the speed of traffic flow on the environmental roads of the University of Riau, namely on Muchtar Lutfi Street, the road next to the Rectorate Mosque, and the road in front of Faperta. The method of data collection is through a survey of the average speed of motorcycles (MC) and light vehicles (LV). Comparative analysis of the decrease in vehicle speed when passing through rumble strips using the chi-square test. The results of the chi-square test showed that there was no significant change in the average speed of vehicles affected by rumble strips to reach the vehicle speed limit of 40 km/hour at the University of Riau. This phenomenon arises because the design of the rumblestrips is not in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number PM 82 of 2018 both in terms of number and dimensions. Recommendations that can be applied are to adjust to the design of the provisions, and complement the rublestrips with caution signs and emblems.
