Abstract

Abstract: Mastery of a foreign language is essential to prepare the younger generation for globalization. German, as a foreign language in Indonesian high schools, opens up academic and professional opportunities in German-speaking countries. This study aims to analyze the learning outcomes of German and explore the integration of Pancasila Learner Profile values in the Merdeka Curriculum. A descriptive qualitative approach is used by analyzing official documents such as the German Language Learning Outcomes (CP) and the Pancasila Learner Profile Guide. The results showed that German language learning can integrate values such as global diversity, critical reasoning, independence, and mutual cooperation through contextual and project-based approaches. The main challenges found were limited teacher training, lack of relevant teaching materials, and lack of implementation guidelines in schools. This research suggests improving teacher training and developing more contextualized teaching materials to support the integration of Pancasila values.Abstrak: Penguasaan bahasa asing sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda menghadapi globalisasi. Bahasa Jerman, sebagai bahasa asing di SMA Indonesia, membuka peluang akademik dan profesional di negara-negara berbahasa Jerman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis capaian pembelajaran Bahasa Jerman dan mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dengan menganalisis dokumen resmi seperti Capaian Pembelajaran (CP) Bahasa Jerman dan Panduan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Jerman dapat mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai seperti berkebinekaan global, bernalar kritis, mandiri, dan gotong royong melalui pendekatan kontekstual dan berbasis proyek. Tantangan utama yang ditemukan adalah keterbatasan pelatihan guru, kurangnya bahan ajar yang relevan, dan minimnya panduan implementasi di sekolah. Penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan pelatihan guru dan pengembangan bahan ajar yang lebih kontekstual dalam mendukung integrasi nilai-nilai Pancasila.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the exclusion process in the shooting of Brigadier Joshua, (2) describe the inclusion process in the shooting of Brigadier Joshua. Criminal news is used as an object of research in the field of language, especially discourse analysis. Theo Van Leeweun's discourse analysis model introduces the way a person (actor) is marginalized in a discourse. This research is limited to Deddy Corbuzier's Youtube podcast video discussing the shooting case of Brigadier Joshua. The results of this study found two exclusion processes, namely passivation and nominalization, while the five inclusion processes include differentiation-differentiation, objectivation-abstraction, nomination-categorization, nomination-identification, and determination-indetermination. So it can be concluded that in this video podcast, the actor is marginalized by exclusion because of the actor's relationship involved in the Brigadier Joshua shooting case. While inclusionary marginalization is carried out to maintain the good name of government agencies that are known to be clean and care for the community.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskprisikan aktivitas social, aktivitas budaya, fakta sosial, dan fakta individual dalam novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah karya Intan Andaru. Kebaruhan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lebih fokus pada fakta kemanusiaan dalam menganalisis novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah karya Intan Andaru menggunakan kajian strukturalisme genetik Lucien Goldmann, sehingga analisisnya lebih mendalam. Dalam penelitian karena lebih memfokuskan fakta kemanusiaan maka lebih mendalam lagi analisisnya meliputi aktivitas sosial, aktivitas budaya, fakta sosial, dan aktivitas individual. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Perempuan Bersampur Merah karya Intan Andaru. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa teknik pustaka atau dokumen. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh 15 data yang meliputi, 4 data aktivitas sosial, 2 data aktivitas budaya, 6 data fakta sosial, dan 3 data fakta individual.

Abstract

Novel Schindler’s Ark ini merupakan salah satu novel terkenal pada tahun 1982. Memiliki film adaptasi bernama Schindler’s List, novel karangan Thomas Keneally asal Australia ini meraih berbagai macam penghargaan seperti Man Booker Prize dan Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction.Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan objektif ini digunakan sebagai sebuah pendekatan untuk mengungkap fakta yang digunakan untuk pedoman fabula dalam cerita novel Schindler’s Ark. Fakta bahwa Peristiwa-Peristiwa yang terjadi ketika Jerman Nazi berkuasa menjadi pedoman Fabula dalam novel Schindler’s Ark. Hal ini di jabarkan dari peristiwa peristiwa yang tercantum dalam novel Schindler’s Ark. Banyak sekali cerita dalam novel Schindler’s Ark yang merupakan contoh fakta peristiwa yang terjadi pada masa kekuasaan Nazi yang dijadikan sebagai pedoman Fabula. Proses Defamiliarisasi terjadi bagaimana Fabula tragedi Holocaust digabungkan dengan imajinasi aneh penulis berupa Sjuzet yang membuat jalannya novel ini menjadi lebih menarik untuk dinikmati para pembacanya.Pada novel Schindler’s Ark Karya Thomas Keneally ini, cerita kekejaman Nazi dan Hitler dijadikan sebagai dasar Fabula dan kemudian setelah proses defamiliarisasi lahirlah jadi sebuah sjuzet. Dari sini dapat diketahui bahwa fabula yang melalui proses Defamiliarisasi akan menjadi fiktif, walaupun dalam novel tersebut banyak sekali membawa fakta sejarah yang sebenarnya. Misalnya dari cerita asli kejadian saat Nazi berkuasa di jerman, kemudian pengarang mendefamiliarisasikannya jadi sjuzet sehingga novel tersebut sangat menarik untuk dinikmati oleh pembaca.

Abstract

One of the most well-known and beloved Sundanese folklore stories is the "Lutung Kasarung" tale, which has been adapted and retold in various forms across the region. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the Sundanese folklore "Lutung Kasarung" from a philological perspective. The main objective of this study is to investigate how the Sundanese language is employed to reflect the values, traditions, and culture of the Sundanese community, and evaluating its contribution to the preservation of the Sundanese cultural heritage. The study employs qualitative methodology, using library research and interviews as research instruments. The findings of the research indicate that the use of language in the "Lutung Kasarung" folklore includes various linguistic elements, including 'Undak Usuk Basa', figurative language, poetic verses (pantun), and vocabulary or phrases associated with cultural expressions. The study's findings also highlight the significance of values such as honesty, loyalty, and kindness, as well as the repercussions of greed and selfishness, which are greatly emphasized in Sundanese cultural traditions. A key contribution of this research is its commitment to preserving the Sundanese language and culture. By meticulously examining how Sundanese is used in the folklore, it not only safeguards the language but also ensures that cultural elements embedded within it are recognized and celebrated.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of incorporating the stylistic method and diverse pedagogical approaches on students' understanding and appreciation of literary works, specifically focusing on the works of Charles Dickens. This research used a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative methods such as observation, surveys, and text analysis with quantitative methods involving statistical analysis. The quasi-experimental design selected undergraduate students purposively based on their literary background, with Charles Dickens' notable works serving as key resources. Pre and post-tests are administered to experimental and control groups to measure the impact of language style instruction. Results indicate that the experimental group, exposed to language style teaching, outperforms the control group in post-teaching comprehension tests. Studies show that teaching students about language styles helps them unlock the meaning of literature. Questionnaire data demonstrate high student satisfaction, increased confidence, improved critical thinking, and enhanced analytical abilities. The adaptability of Dickens's novels to various learning styles contributes to a more inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This article examines women's trauma in the novel Perempuan di Titik Zero by Nawal El Saadawi using the Javanese psychological approach Mentaraman. A qualitative and descriptive approach was used to explore the traumatic experience of the main character, Firdaus, and analyze how she tried to face and overcome the suffering she experienced. Mentaraman's Javanese psychology, which emphasizes inner balance, mental peace, and psychological recovery, is the basis for understanding how Firdaus interacts with trauma and the search for identity in the context of Javanese tradition and culture. Through a literature review, this article discusses how Javanese psychology can provide a new perspective in understanding Firdaus' mental and emotional response to the oppression, violence and helplessness he experienced. The results of the analysis show that even though Firdaus is trapped in a state of deep trauma, Javanese psychological values ​​that focus on self-recovery and inner harmony can explain Firdaus' efforts to achieve peace in facing her past. This article provides insight into how women's trauma can be understood through the lens of Javanese psychology and the importance of mental balance in the recovery process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan semiotik dalam sastra lisan di Jawa Timur yang mencakup: (1) semiotika yang terkait dengan ikon dalam sastra lisan di Jawa Timur (2) semiotika yang terkait dengan indeks dalam sastra lisan di Jawa Timur, (3) semiotika yang terkait dengan simbol dalam sastra lisan di Jawa Timur sebagai media pendidikan karakter bagi generasi milenial di era digital serta sebagai sarana penggalian, pelestarian, dan pengembangan budaya lokal untuk memperkuat dan memperkaya khasanah kebudayaan nasional. Metode penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Objek penelitiannya adalah sastra lisan di Jawa Timur sebagai media pendidikan karakter generasi milenial di era digital. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan pengamatan, wawancara, perekaman, dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data secara deskriptif dengan langkah-langkah: reduksi data, klasifikasi data, analisis data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini merupakan penemuan ikon yang memiliki hubungan antara ruwatan dengan hal mistis yang ada dalam cerita, indeks yang terkadung dalam analisis adalah adanya hubungan antara ruwatan yang dipercaya masyarakat madura yang nantinya jika tidak dilaksanakan akan menimbulkan petaka, sedangkan simbol yang terkandung dalam cerita sastra lisan di Jawa Timur adalah makna simbol yang tidak dapat dipisahkan antara simbol dan makna pada Roro Anteng dan Jaka Seger yang di mana mereka mengingkari janji dan menyebabkan Gunung Bromo meletus.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the learning process of poetry-writing skills through the Suggestopedia method using song media among students of class X TPM 1 at SMKN Negeri Kudu Jombang; (2) improve students’ poetry-writing skills through the application of the Suggestopedia method with song media in class X TPM 1 at SMKN Negeri Kudu Jombang; and (3) describe the responses of students in class X TPM 1 at SMKN Negeri Kudu Jombang after participating in poetry-writing instruction using the Suggestopedia method with song media. The research method employed was descriptive quantitative with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 35 students who participated in poetry-writing instruction through the Suggestopedia method with song media. Data were collected through observation, poetry-writing tests, and student response questionnaires. The results indicate that the Suggestopedia method using song media significantly improved students’ poetry-writing skills. The average pretest score of 67.83 increased to 80.71 in the posttest, showing an improvement of 12.88%. This improvement occurred due to a relaxed learning atmosphere, the presence of positive suggestions from the teacher, and the role of music in stimulating students’ imagination and creative expression. Based on the questionnaire results, 93% of students provided positive responses to the implementation of this method, as it was considered enjoyable, motivating, and helpful in facilitating the expression of ideas into poetic form. Thus, the Suggestopedia method using song media can serve as an alternative and effective instructional strategy for improving poetry-writing skills while also strengthening students’ affective and creative aspects in Indonesian language and literature learning.

Abstract

According to Lewis A. Coser, open conflict is more common in societies that have partial or non-intimate relationships. Individuals or groups without involving deep emotions or total hostility. This study aims to describe the forms of social conflict in the film Komang by Naya Anindita from Lewis A. Coser's perspective, which include realistic social conflict, non-realistic social conflict, and the positive function of social conflict. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a sociological literary approach. The data source used is the film Komang by Naya Anindita. The data are in the form of dialogue quotes, sentences, paragraphs, accompanied by images containing realistic social conflict, non-realistic social conflict, and the positive function of social conflict. The data collection process used is listening, reading, and recording with coding through observation guide instruments. Data on the forms of social conflict in the film Komang were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique. The data validity technique uses a credibility test of persistence with peer discussions. The results of this study indicate the existence of: 1) realistic social conflict, the existing conflict is in the form of religious differences; lack of attention from partners; uncertainty and expectations of a relationship; 2) non-realistic conflict in the form of feelings of offense; past trauma; jealousy; 3) the positive function of existing social conflict in the form of tolerance of diversity, enthusiasm for achieving ideals, respecting and honoring fellow human beings, and upholding solidarity.
