Writing this article aims to describe: (1) development strategy village library to increase public interest in the Library Nagari Solok Kampung Jawa; (2) constraints and efforts are found in increasing public interest in the village of Kampung Jawa Solok; Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians Library Nagari Kampung Solok City Java. Analyzing data descriptively. Based on analyzing the data, we can conclude it - as follows. First, the library development strategy to increase public interest in reading has been done, it can be seen from the activities carried out by the library as read poetry competition elementary level, bookmobile, creating an atmosphere of reading, and library exhibitions. Second, problems were found in increasing public interest in the Library Nagari Kampung Solok City Java are: (1) the lack of library collections; (2) a library room that has not been ideal; (3) lack of human resources. Third, efforts are being made to increase public interest are: (1) increase the collection of library materials; (2) creating an ideal library room, because there is no barrier between the reading rooms, shelves and space collection librarian; (3) adding human resources.Â Keywords : development strategy, village library, public interest

The study aims to know the role of The Regional Library West Sumatera in growing interest in reading the children. The research is a sort research of descriptive set which was done through the process of observation went straight through the interview process to the informant in the development and management of childâ€™s interest The Regional Library West Sumatera. The method of analisys is carried out in a descriptive. Based on the interview process has been identified that The Regional Library West Sumatera have done a number of programs to faster interest in children to reading. The library have a area for children, as well as the effort to local governments to supplement itâ€™s reading in children. In addition the government also estabilished a rapport with school in West Sumatera in general and the city of Padang at particural times. In accordance with the open interview process, there have been identified that a major constrait facing the area on the West Sumatera is a matter of funding to complete the materials reading, especially for children. In order to develop the interest reading of The Regional Library west Sumatera to do a program that supports childrenâ€™s creativity as having the painting and various other positive event.Keyword: children, reading, The Regional Library West Sumatera.

The purpose of this paper was to describe the stages of designing and utilizing â€œBusy Bookâ€ in accelerating the beginning reading ability for early childhood children at PAUD Budi Luhur Padang. This paper was written by using descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through observation, interview, and literature study. It is concluded that the stages in designing â€œBusy Bookâ€ were, (1) first, determining the concept, and the number of pages; (2) after that cutting the flannel; (3) designing the background of â€œBusy Bookâ€ pages (4) each edge of the background was decorated with ribbons; (5) creating the desired pattern; (6) then copying the pattern on the flannel and cutting it according to the pattern; (7) preparing the object background of each page in â€œBusy Bookâ€; (8) the object was attached; (9) naming the image by writing the letters on the flannel; (10) pasting the letters of the flannel on the velcro that has been glued on the background adjusted to the object; (11) making front and back cover of â€œBusy Bookâ€. The utilization of â€œBusy Bookâ€ at PAUD Budi Luhur Padang could be categorized as good. There was the desire of students to hold the book, to ask to get the book read, to mention the name of the picture. When students read the pictures on every page of the book and told the self-made pictures could be categorized as fairly good for early childhood children in learning to read at the beginning. However, students could not yet be able to mention the function based on the picture.Keyword: busy book, early childhood, read.

The purpose of this study was: (1) describe the management of mobile libraries in the Library of the Office, Archives, and Documentation Pesisir Selatan District; and (2) describeÂ obstacles encountered in the management of mobile libraries in the library of the Office, Archives, and Documentation Pesisir Selatan District. This research includes descriptive research to obtain the necessary data in this study, the researchers conducted observations and interviews. The researchers conducted observations and interviews to four librarians. Based on the data analysis we can conclude library management process carried out by four stages as follows: (1) operational planning bookmobile not running as it should, (2) organizing the library, in the division of tasks for a mobile library pengoperasionalan not well structured; (3) mobilization activities only performed at the beginning of the mobile library operates, and (4) monitoring conducted library head on employee performance and operational implementation of the mobile library was limited to the submission of a written report to the head of the library esmployees. This paper discussed how to make a puzzle that can be used by students both play and learn at the same time. The purpose of this paper is to describe the making of anatomical human body puzzle for beginner students in Elementary School. The data were collected through observation, interview, and literature study. The data analysis was done by the qualitative descriptive method.Based on discussion, the step of making puzzle is (1) Determining the topic, (2) Gathering all kinds of required information, (3) Desirable puzzle design, (4) Draw the picture on other HVS paper with pen or pencil, (5) Group the pictures based onÂ the groups, the pictures were coloring with the studentsâ€™ favorite color, (6) cut the pictures and divided into some parts, (7) The pictures wereÂ arranged into the provided cardboard background, (8) ) The picture can be wrapped using a clear colored plastic.The Usefulness of the puzzle in SDN 04 Koto Ranah can be well categorized because of the studentsâ€™ readiness, attention to the teacherâ€™s explanation about the puzzle, regularly in finding the puzzle pieces, the spirit in complete the puzzle pieces, asking the teacher whether the students' do not understand or have difficulties when crafting the puzzle, doing the tasks given by the teacher.Keyword: ability to read, puzzle, Elementary School

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to describe the process of creating a cultural literacy package in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, Padang Selatan, Padang City. This research uses a descriptive method. Data was collected through a literature review as well as direct observation and interviews with the Chairman of the RW, fishermen, and community leaders in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village located in RW II, Batang Arau Sub-District, Padang Selatan District, Padang City. Based on research that has been done can be concluded as follows. Making this information package is done through five stages. First, the culture of fishing communities in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, Padang Selatan, Padang City, among others: (1) Gender system; (2) Labor Agent-Fisherman Relations; (3) patterns of resource exploitation; (4) Social leadership. Secondly, the creation of a Culture literacy information package in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, South Padang, Padang City is carried out through five stages, namely: (1) Establishing the topic and type of information package packaging; (2) information gathering; (3) Analysis of the results of information gathering; (4) packaging information; (5) Evaluation of information packages. The explanation of the results of the manufacturing process is as follows: Determine the topic and type of information package packaging, the topic raised is Cultural Literacy in the Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, South Padang, Padang City which is packaged in a printed information package; Information gathering is done by interview and direct observation to the Kampung Batu Fisherman Village. In addition, it is necessary to search the literature so that the data obtained for an information package becomes a product that presents true and relevant information; Analysis of the results of information gathering. From the information gathering, it is known that what is considered important as a cultural identity builder of fishing communities such as gender systems, patron-client relations, patterns of resource exploitation, and social leadership; Packaging information, done by presenting information that has been obtained from gathering information in the form of an information package; Evaluation of the information package is done by submitting a questionnaire to 10 respondents and it is known that 92.4% of respondents strongly agree that the cultural literacy information package is interesting, informative and has benefits for its users.Keywords: e-office, electronic archive.

The study of this research in about creating a directory of Tahfidz Quran house in Padang City. The purpose is to describe about creating a directory for Tahfidz Quran house in Padang City. This research has been done by a descriptive method by visiting directly to Tahfidz Quran house in Padang City to observe and do some interviews. After the data analyzed, the conclusion explains some steps of creating a directory Tahfidz Quran: (1) collecting the data; (2) making notes about previous data then typing it to microsoft word; (3) determining the subject; (4) doing classification, and; (5) creating the directory.Keywords: creating, directory, and Tahfidz Quran.

AbstractWriting this paper discusses the teacher's response to the library of public high school 1 Lembah Gumanti. The purpose of writing this paper is to describe the teacher's response to the library of public high school 1 lembah gumanti, Solok Regency, West Sumatra. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, which is collecting data directly by distributing questionnaires to respondents in the library of public high school 1 Lembah Gumanti, Solok Regency, West Sumatra. Base on the analysis of the data can be concluded as follows. As many as 67% of teachers in public high school 1 Lembah Gumanti gave positive responses to the library of public high school 1 Lembah Gumanti. In this case it means that the library of public high school 1 Lembah Gumanti is classified as good. This can be seen in the complete library collection, services provided by satisfying librarians and good library management so students are interested in visiting the library. As many as 33% of teachers gave negative responses to the library of public high school 1 Lembah Gumanti. This can be seen from the promotion of the library which is still not maximized, awareness-raising activities in students undertaken by the library are still lacking, and the use of national holidays by the library which is still rarely done as a means to foster student interest in reading.Keywords: responses,Â school,Â libraryÂ

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to write gambir information to improve the economy of communities in the County Town 50 Bases. This paper aims at 1. to describe how the potential of the information society economy boost in Gambier in 50 Districts of the city, Base 2. to describe the down gambir information in improving the economy of communities in the County Town 50 Bases. Data collected through observation and interviews with farmers Gambier at the base 50 District of the city. Penganalisisan descriptive data is carried out.Based on the research it can be concluded the following things. The first information creation of this information is to inform the potential and processing of gambier to improve the economy of the people in the Regency 50 City Base, in order to get the potential of quality gambir, it is necessary to pay attention to the gambir leaves and twigs to be processed and the fertilizers used and cleaning (weeding) in the gambir agar area gambir leaves and twigs that will be processed avoid other plants such as parasites that can affect the gambier leaves and gambir twigs that will be processed can not produce or remove a lot of sap when processed, gambier plants will also produce a lot of sap when the gambier plant faces with sunlight light processing gambir in the following way; (1) Harvesting of gambir leaves, (2) Transportation of gambier leaves in the house of felts, (3) Boiling, (4) Extraction / Pressing, (5) Deposition, (6) Draining, (7) Printing, (8) and Drying.Keywords: Gambier, the economy of the community, and the selling price, the processing of Gambier.

This paper aims to help users and librarian in the reading room of the Electrical Engineering Department in conducting a search of information or information retrieval. In this paper we describe the manufacture annotated bibliography of skripsi of Electrical Engineering Department in 2014â€“2016 Collections Reading Room of the Electrical Engineering Department of State University of Padang. The method used descriptive method. Information collected by observation. The results obtained in the direct observation, the number of skripsi collections in the reading room of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the year 2014-2016 is 157 title. Based on the discussion can be concluded the stage of making an annotated bibliography of skripsiÂ of Electrical Engineering is as follows. First, the determination of title to the consideration of the availability of a collection of skripsi, applied the collection, the most demanding information, and information is still good and awake. Second, the collection of library materials by recording bibliographic data. Third, the selection of library materials be selected on the entire collection of skripsi by separating the skripsi is based on the order of years. Fourth, grouping or classification annotated bibliography of skripsi grouped by classification fundamental. Fifth, the keyword fabrication. Sixth, the preparation of the index. Seventh, typing the manuscript bibliography. Latest in the stage of making a bibliography is the examination of the final manuscript.Keywords: bibliography, annotated, electrical engineering department
