Abstract

The gastrointestinal acidity/pH can considerably influence the stability and absorption of oral medications. As a result, understanding the circumstances for drug delivery requires knowledge of gastrointestinal pH. Mice injected with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) are used in the most well-studied animal models of sepsis. However, information on gastrointestinal pH in sepsis mice is still insufficient. This study was conducted to identify gastric pH values in mice induced by lipopolysaccharide. The LPS was injected intraperitoneally as well as 0.9% NaCl as control groups. Treated groups (LPS) consisted of four groups and the control group (0.9% NaCl) consisted of four groups. Ten mice were used in each group. Gastric pH measurement was conducted using pH meter Lutron PH-201. Based on this study, the factors that influenced gastric pH in sepsis animal models were the LPS doses and the time after LPS injection. The results of gastric pH measurement in sepsis mice did not show a decrease in the pH compared to the normal conditions. The dose of LPS significantly influences the gastric pH change.

Abstract

Lima dimensi pelayanan elektroakupunktur hewan klinik La Femur menunjukkan nilai diatas standart.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the analysis of super native chicken farm business with Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot supplementation on feed on the production performance of super native chickens, including feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion. This study used 50 super male native chickens aged 4 weeks and adapted for 1 week then randomized into five treatments, including P0 (basal feed without BSF maggot), P1 (basal feed + 2.5% BSF maggot), P2 (basal feed + 5% BSF maggot), P3 (basal feed + 7.5% BSF maggot), and P4 (basal feed + 10% BSF maggot). Statistical data analysis was processed using One Way ANOVA and followed by post hoc Duncan. The results showed that the level of feed consumption was high in treatment P4, the highest body weight gain was in P4, the lowest feed conversion was in P1. Contribution margin analysis (CM) was used to determine the benefits of the treatment in this study. 2.5% BSF (P1) maggot supplementation is recommended to increase profits.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of probiotics of lactic acid bacteria in drinking water on feed consumption, weight gain and feed conversion ratio of broiler chickens. This research is an experimental research. The experimental animals used in this study were 28 male broiler chickens strain Cobb 700 aged 20 days. P0 was not given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria, P1 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus in 1ml/liter drinking water, P2 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus casei in drinking water 1ml/liter, P3 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus fermentum in drinking water 1ml/liter, P4 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum in drinking water 1ml/liter, P5 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Pediococcus in drinking water 1ml/liter, P6 was given the addition of probiotic mix lactic acid bacteria in drinking water 1ml /liter. Collecting data for the last 1 week by weighing the remaining consumption of feed given and weight gain of broiler chickens. The data obtained were analyzed using the Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) statistical method and continued with Duncan. Based on the results of the calculation of the amount of feed consumption and weight gain in broiler chickens, it showed that the administration of probiotic lactic acid bacteria 1ml/liter of water in broiler chickens could increase body weight gain, reduce feed conversion rates but did not reduce broiler feed consumption (p<0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of aflatoxin contaminated feed given for 40 days on the anatomy and histopathology of the thymus of laying hens in the starter phase. A total of 36 DOC laying hens were divided into two groups (P0 and P1). P0 (control group) was given 100% basal starter feed CP 521 and P1 (treatment group) was given 80% basal feed CP 524 plus 20% aflatoxin contaminated feed. Feeding contaminated with aflatoxin was carried out for 40 days, starting on the 20th to the 60th day after the DOC of laying hens was adapted for 20 days. The time of surgery in this study was carried out on the 20th, 40th, and 60th days, where at each surgery time the thymus organ was taken to collect weight data and histopathological preparations were made. The thymus weights based on time showed a significant decrease, but the intergroup thymus weights did not show a significant decrease. The decrease in thymus weight is caused by the involution process. Microscopic observations based on increased cell debris and congestion showed that P0 did not show a significant difference, but P1 showed a significant difference (p>0.05) on the 40th and 60th days. The conclusion in this study was that as much as 20% of feed contaminated with aflatoxins had not affected changes in thymus weight but had shown damage to the histopathological structure of the thymus.
