Abstract

The number of malaria in this area always has the tendency of the most compared to the city/district in South Kalimantan Province. Behavior is internalisation factor from the level of knowledge, attitudes and actions of a person who influenced by customs, customs and belief in certain things that has been handed down by his ancestors. The behavior of a community group can be different from the other groups so that they formed a group behavior or can be said tribal behavior. The purpose of this research predicts that the number of the prevalence of malaria in Tanah Bumbu tribal based with Y1t : the tribe of Banjar, Y2t : Javanese,  Y3t : the tribe of Bugis, and Y4t : other tribes using vector autoregressive (VAR) model. The results of the study showed with Granger Causality approach there is a relationship between the amount of the prevalence of Malaria Javanese with other tribes, Bugis tribe with other tribes. The relationship is strengthened in the VAR model, which is the number of the prevalence of Malaria Javanese influenced by the number of the prevalence of Malaria Javanese at period t-1, and the number of the prevalence of Malaria tribe Bugis at period t-1. While the number of the prevalence of Malaria tribe Bugis influenced by the number of the prevalence of Malaria Other tribes in the period t-2.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Delay diagnosis of Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) can be associated with sudden clinical deterioration and dangerous cardiovascular conditions. The oxygen saturation screening among newborns in the first 10 hours of life is essential for early detection of critical CHD. This study aims to prove that measuring oxygen saturation among newborns in the first 10 hours of life can detect critical CHD. This study is a diagnostic experimental with consecutive sampling subjects in the infant care unit of Dr. Soetomo Hospital, including all newborns with birth weight ≥ 1500 grams and oxygen saturation at ≥ 1 hour of age below 90%. The measurement of oxygen saturation uses fingertip pulse oximetry in the right hand and foot at the age of 10 hours. A "positive oxygen saturation" is defined as oxygen saturation ≤ 85% or different oxygen saturation ≥ 3%, while a "negative oxygen saturation" is when the oxygen saturation is 85% to 90% or different oxygen saturation is 3%. Echocardiography is performed for the gold standard. From November 2019 to January 2020, 11 newborns underwent an oxygen saturation examination. Five subjects (45.46%) in the category of positive oxygen saturation, echocardiographic showed all Critical CHD (100%). Six subjects (54.54%) with negative oxygen saturation category, echocardiographic results showed two critical CHD (33.34%) and four non-critical CHD (66.66%). Fisher's exact test p < 0.005 (α). The diagnostic oxygen saturation test among newborns at 10 hours of life shows ≤85%, all subject’s echocardiography (100%) shows detection of critical CHD, while saturation 85% to 90% has of 33.3% for detection of critical CHD. The sensitivity and specificity of oxygen saturation for early diagnosis of critical CHD are 100% and 67%, respectively. Keywords: critical congenital heart disease, oxygen saturation, fingertip pulse oximetry, diagnostic tests*Corresponding Author: wfatchul045@gmail.com

Abstract

Study about sepsis is chalenging to get the right therapeutic method. One clinical signs of the sepsis mice model is changes in body temperature. An easy way to examine body temperature is using infrared non-contact thermometer. The aim of this study is to compare the body temperature obtained from infrared non-contact thermometer at the abdomen and anus area. We used male Mus musculus mice, body weight of 25–30 grams, were divided into 2 groups (control and treated groups). In the control group, mice were injected with NaCl 0.9% solution, with the amount of NaCl volume equal to LPS. In the treated group, mice were injected with 2.5 mg/kgBW of LPS intraperitoneally. Body temperature measurement was measured in abdomen (tabd) and anus (tan) area. Body temperature was measured at 8th and 24th hour after LPS or NaCl injection. Body temperature value result using tabd was higher than tan. LPS injection to mice produced an increase in body temperature but was not significant when compared to the control group (8th and 24th hour). The mean difference between tabd and tan in 8th hour control groups respectively were 2.12oC. The mean difference between tabd and tan in 24th hour control groups 4.6oC. The mean difference in treated groups (8th hour) was 4.66oC, while it was 4.77oC in the 24th hour treated groups. LPS could caused vasodilation of the vessels, the measurement area of non contact-infrared thermometer will be the most important factor to be considered; tan may closer to the physiology condition.

Abstract

Consumer is one of the influential factors in marketing. The study was conducted to analyze the increase in marketing opportunities based on consumer criteria for hydroponic vegetable producers in Surabaya. The research was carried out in Surabaya from Mei to June 2018. This type of research is observational analysis with survey methods on three producers about the relationship between producers and consumers according to their respective producers. Data were analyzed with AHP (Analysis Hierarchy Process) and the process used Expert Choice 2000. Data were examined using descriptive or qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Quantitative analysis includes a scale of trust and commitment measurement. The distribution of hydroponics vegetables at “Kebunsayur Surabaya” prioritizes ‘restaurant’ and ‘hotel’, “JawaRa Farm” prioritizes ‘kale suppliers’ and “One STOP Hydroponics” prioritizes ‘individual customers’ (vegetable displays).
