Abstract

This research is a Beauvoirian existential feminist study applied to the novel Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. More specifically, the study on Emma focused on her goal of achieving eudaimonia or happiness. By applying the qualitative narrative method, this study focuses specifically on the characters' existence and life experiences to achieve eudaimonic conditions as they are without being weighed down in the form of normative judgments. This study contains novelty and significance because the focus on existential choices to pursue the eudaimonic conditions has not been widely applied to literary works, which will vary the situational experience and setting. As a result, the elusive eudaimonic state remains unattainable by such existential choices that do not include responsibility.

Abstract

The independent curriculum, which was expected to serve as a bridge following the slowdown in the learning process during Covid-19, has instead created new problems in its implementation. This is because the application of this curriculum lacked preparation from various parties. The History Teachers' Working Group (MGMP Sejarah) in Kudus District is one of the users encountering challenges in implementing the independent curriculum. The issues faced include: understanding the implementation of the independent curriculum and its application in teaching, especially in the development of teaching modules for Phase F in history education, which is still very limited. There is a lack of teachers' strategies in implementing the independent curriculum in schools, and a shortage of activities that support the skills and understanding of partners to implement the independent curriculum. To address these problems, the service team and partners agreed to conduct training and mentoring activities for the implementation of the independent curriculum, especially in developing Phase F teaching modules for history subjects in partner schools. The method used for this activity is training. Based on the conducted activities, it was found that participants' responses, as indicated by the survey, showed that the objectives of this service activity have been achieved. The evaluation results of the training activities, including participants' enthusiasm, level of participation, and understanding of the training materials, were very high. While the overall evaluation of the service activities also showed positive responses, there are still some areas that need improvement.

Abstract

Abstract

Tanaman bligo (Benincasa hispida (Thunb.)

Abstract

This study examines the values of character education, as well as the strategies and outcomes of story-based education implementation in elementary schools. This study uses a systematic literature review as its methodology. The literature review process involves searching for relevant articles, evaluating them using data extraction, and then comparing the results of the literature. Google Scholar was the data source used. The research results indicate that (1) the values of character education in elementary school fairy tales include honesty, discipline, social concern, and responsibility; (2) the strategies used in character education through fairy tales in elementary schools include reading and listening habits that teachers implement, which can more easily shape students' character through storytelling activities; (3) the outcomes of implementing character education through fairy tales in elementary school students show attitudes reflecting character values, such as enthusiasm for reading books. In addition, storytelling activities are very effective in implementing character education in elementary schools. The implications of this research are, first, that teachers should diligently provide character education through the habit of reading fairy tales in elementary schools. Second, parents can follow up on the programs implemented in elementary schools by making it a habit to read fairy tales to their children.

Abstract

Boule de Suif is considered one of the best short stories written by Guy de Maupassant. This study is based on a feminist perspective applying a narrative approach to provide an overview of the intersectionality of gender in Guy de Maupassant's narrative work, The Boule de Suif. Specifically, the narrative model was chosen as an approach that focuses on the individual stories of the characters within the work. Narrative identification is important for unraveling issues of gender intersectionality that arise in unequal phenomena. From the process of analysis, it is clear that the character Boule de Suif experiences the phenomenon of intersectionality of gender in the categories of gender, social class and identity in a situation of mutual support, trying to protect themselves from a violent war.

Abstract

This study highlights the importance of differentiated learning in the context of Generation Z who have unique characteristics, such as critical thinking, desire for quick feedback, and technology literacy. Differentiated learning aims to meet individual learning needs by modifying four main components: content, process, product, and learning environment. Analysis of history teachers in Central Java Province shows that although most teachers have implemented some aspects of differentiated learning, there are obstacles in relevant and effective evaluation and assessment. To address this, a training program has been implemented to improve teacher competency in developing adaptive assessments, both formative and summative. The results of the training showed an increase in teachers' understanding and skills in implementing the principles of differentiated learning that are more inclusive and equitable.

Abstract

The ‘Pamitran’ MSME Bazaar held in Ngenep Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency, is a strategic initiative for local economic empowerment and MSME development in the village. Through collaboration between various parties—lecturers, students, PKK groups, village officials, professionals, and MSME actors—this activity has successfully created an effective marketing platform for local products. The bazaar activities were not limited to buying and selling transactions but also included various educational and recreational activities, such as French language training for children, coloring competitions, community exercises, dance and music performances, and health services involving the Indonesian Red Cross and doctors. The results of the activity showed that over 85% of SME products were sold, while visitors were also actively engaged in educational and recreational activities. The bazaar successfully raised public awareness about the importance of supporting local products, introduced village-specific products, and strengthened social networks among SME operators and the community. Through the synergy between various elements, this activity demonstrated that cross-sectoral collaboration can be a key factor in the sustainable development of village economies.
