Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of psychological capital and transformational leadership in encouraging innovative behavior and employee performance, by considering readiness for change as a mediating variable. The focus of the study was directed at the Micro Business sector in Situbondo, which has so far focused more on technical and financial aspects, while the psychological aspects of employees are often ignored. In fact, this aspect contributes significantly to business competitiveness and sustainability. The research approach used was quantitative with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that psychological capital had a positive and significant effect on innovative behavior and employee performance. In addition, readiness for change was proven to act as a mediating variable that strengthened the influence of psychological capital on both variables. Transformational leadership also had a positive effect on innovative behavior, but did not have a significant effect on employee performance. However, the effect of transformational leadership on innovative behavior can be significantly mediated by readiness for change. So far, human resource development in this sector tends to ignore employee psychological strengths such as optimism, self-efficacy, hope, and resilience, even though these elements have proven crucial in creating an innovative and high-performing workforce. Practical advice from this study is the need for interventions specifically designed by the government or policy makers in the form of positive psychology-based training.

Abstract

The phenomenon of quiet quitting has significantly captured global attention across various industries in recent years. Quiet quitting refers to a form of employee disengagement characterized by limiting their efforts to meeting minimal expectations and avoiding additional tasks or responsibilities beyond what is explicitly required. This behavior impacts organizational performance, workplace dynamics, and employee well-being. When employees silently disengage from full involvement in their work, organizations may experience decreased productivity, hindered teamwork dynamics, and challenges in retaining top talent. This research aims to analyze the determinant factors in the quiet quitting intention phenomenon, mediated by work engagement and job satisfaction. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed quantitatively from 405 employees of a banking sector company in Indonesia using purposive sampling and analyzed with Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using Smart PLS. By understanding these signs, organizations can early detect quiet quitting intention behaviors and take appropriate steps to determine the necessary actions to address the underlying issues of quiet quitting behavior.

Abstract

The advent of the Industrial 4.0 economy has intensified the usage of Business Analytics (BA) as a strategic business tool, but the adoption rate is not equally spread across nations. This study investigated the factors influencing the intention to adopt BA in Zimbabwean companies using the technology organization environment (TOE) and the technology acceptance model (TAM). A quantitative approach was used, and data were collected from 157 Zimbabwean companies from various sectors that have adopted or intend to adopt BA. A questionnaire was deployed for data collection, and a convenient sampling method was used. The results revealed that perceived relative advantage, top management support, competitive pressure, and government regulations significantly influence the intention to adopt BA. However, complexity, compatibility, IT infrastructure, and organizational readiness were not supported. The results corroborate and support previous findings. This study adds value to the knowledge of BA adoption from a developing economy perspective. The fusion of TOE and TAM models on Zimbabwean companies' intention to adopt BA was explored for the first time. The flexibility of the TOE model allows the use of IT Infrastructure, which was perceived to have a significant influence in the Zimbabwean context, though it was proved insignificant. Managers in Zimbabwe can benefit from BA adoption for strategic value creation, with policymakers encouraged to promote BA adoption, and scholars will learn about the fused TOE-TAM model.

Abstract

The swift growth of Information Technology (IT) enterprises across Jakarta's region creates a major obstacle: maintaining work-life balance for staff members while facing demanding productivity pressures and unpredictable work schedules, both factors contributing to elevated stress levels. This research sought to examine how work-life balance affects employee performance, with particular focus on investigating the mediating functions of job satisfaction and employee engagement within IT company workforces. Through a quantitative methodology, information was gathered from 195 full-time employees using digital questionnaires and examined with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results demonstrate that proper work-life balance creates positive effects on employee performance, especially when mediated significantly by employee engagement. Conversely, job satisfaction failed to appear as a meaningful mediator within this connection. To summarize, for enhancing employee performance, IT enterprises must emphasize work-life balance strategies that proactively encourage employee engagement. This method has demonstrated superior effectiveness compared to concentrating exclusively on job satisfaction alone.

Abstract

This research attempts to investigate the mechanisms linking corporate social responsibility with organizational citizenship behavior among Generation Z employees in Indonesia's banking sector, focusing on the mediating roles of psychological capital, affective commitment, and prosocial motivation. While Generation Z demonstrates high concern for social and environmental issues, paradoxically, they exhibit the lowest levels of organizational citizenship behavior among all generations. Data were collected through an online survey of 230 Generation Z employees in the Indonesian banking sector who had worked for at least 6 months. The study employs Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling for data analysis. The findings reveal that corporate social responsibility positively influence organizational citizenship behavior through the mediation of psychological capital, affective commitment, and prosocial motivation. These findings provide insights for banking institutions in designing effective corporate social responsibility strategies to enhance organizational citizenship behavior among Generation Z employees, while contributing to the literature by explaining the psychological mechanisms linking corporate social responsibility to organizational citizenship behavior. Practical and theoretical implications are discussed, along with suggestions for future research.

Abstract

This research examines how entrepreneurship capability affects competitive resilience within the airline business, focusing on innovation sequences along the value chain as a solution to environmental turbulence. The study aims to investigate the mechanism through which entrepreneurship capability contributes to resilience by mediating organizational, digital, and business model innovations. The study involved 250 CEOs and top leaders in Indonesian airlines. Data were collected via surveys and analyzed using SPSS 25 and Smart Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS) 4. Findings show that entrepreneurship capability does not directly affect digital collaboration or business model innovation. Its effect occurs indirectly through organizational innovation, which promotes digital distribution innovation, leading to business model innovation. Together, these innovations strengthen resilience in turbulent environments. The study highlights the critical role of the triple serial relationship among organizational innovation, digital distribution, and business model innovation in navigating crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Practically, airline leaders should use entrepreneurship capability to drive innovation, support digital transformation, and adopt customer focused strategies to sustain competitiveness. This research contributes original insight by revealing how entrepreneurship capability indirectly fosters resilience through innovation sequences, aiding airlines in adapting to market changes. The study aligns with SDGs 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by promoting entrepreneurship led growth and SDGs 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through advancing innovative and resilient business practices.
