Abstract

Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) is a form of communication activities through the use of computer media with internet networks. The use of CMC for digital development planning is to use e-planning applications as innovations from information media in the preparation of electronic-based regional development planning documents. The West Sulawesi Provincial Government as part of the provinces in Indonesia has used this information technology media. The research objective is to provide an overview of the use of e-planning website based Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) in compiling and setting regional planning priorities. The research method used refers to the type of descriptive qualitative research refers to the type of case study research. The type of data used is primary and secondary data from various sources. Data were collected using the main instruments in-depth interviews and observations to a number of research informants obtained based on purposive sampling techniques. Furthermore, the data collected has been analyzed qualitatively for inductive inference. The results of the study found that Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) in regional development planning in West Sulawesi Province uses website-based eplanning. The use of e-planning applications in the form of features is used for the input of RPJMD, Renstra, Pokir, and Musrembang documents. Furthermore, there are monitoring and control features, integrated in the determination of the budgeting program. Finally, the means to provide information for the process of finalizing the decision making is the priority of the implementation of regional development planning based on public interests.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran tentang Pola pengelolaan pengurangan kecemasan dan pengelolaan ketidakpastian komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan oleh Juru sita pajak dan wajib pajak dalam mengurangi ketidakpastian dalam interaksi penagihan pajak yang dilakukan oleh KPP Pratama Maros. Metode penelitian kualitatif dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus.  Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan saat peneliti mulai memasuki lapangan dan selama penelitian berlangsung (emergent sampling design). Lokasi penelitian adalah di Seksi Penagihan pada Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Maros, Kanwil DJP Sulawesi Selatan, Barat dan Tenggara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mengorganisasi data yang diperoleh kedalam sebuah kategori, menjabarkan data kedalam unit-unit, menganalisis data yang penting, menyusun atau menyajikan data yang sesuai dengan masalah penelitian dalam bentuk laporan dan membuat kesimpulan agar mudah untuk dipahami. Hasil temuan baik juru sita pajak dan wajib pajak diketahui sama-sama merasakan kecemasan/ketidakpastian komunikasi satu sama lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the role of parents through intragroup communication in educating the next generation of children to love cocoa. A qualitative approach, namely a case study of a cocoa farmer family in educating and motivating children. Data collection techniques were non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and The Focus Group Discussion on nine cocoa farming families with children 7-19 years old by purposive sampling. The findings of the research on the role of parents in intragroup communication first, the dominant activity of parents and their proactively taking part in children directly teaches, involves, and instils motivation. Second, the category of activity and high participation from parents. Third, the dominant child is proactive and participative, playing an independent learning role, and is motivated as a cocoa farmer. This research impacts the urgency of family communication in the regeneration's sustainability of cocoa farmers' children in supporting government programs to increase the productivity of cocoa plants.

Abstract

This research discussed about haram Sinovac vaccine hoax on twitter social media status. There was something unique on Twitter social media which is trending topic system, one of the trending issue was Covid-19 vaccine that arrived from China (Sinovac) and got a lot rejection. This study aimed to determine about the fact of haram Sinovac vaccine. The research used fact checking method. Masyarakat Anti Fitnah Indonesia (MAFINDO) had standar operating procedure in checking the fact with the data collection from status in media social Twitter, on last six months (August 2020 - January 2021). This research indicated six tweets which stated that sinovac vaccine were haram and also fifteen tweets stated that sinovac vaccine are pure and halal based on the fact research. By analyze this checking fact, we can distinguish which information are hoax and fact.

Abstract

ABSTRACT People with oligodactyly are humans who have less than five fingers and toes. This deficiency is formed since their birth. This study involved five informants from Ulutaue Hamlet, Bone Regency of South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. People with oligodactyly usually get the nicknames "crab man", "disgusting person", "mapakka finger". In addition to verbal forms, people with oligodactyly also receive non-verbal treatment. Hence, it makes them feel ashamed, heads down and offended. Behind those non-verbal ridicules, people with oligodactyly have non-verbal communication between each other to be used as defense or protection against strangers. Based on these conditions, this research entitled "Analysis of the Meaning of Symbolic Messages for Oligodactyly Persons in Ulutaue Village in Bone Regency". This type of research uses qualitative research methods, ethnographic studies of communication with the aim of describing, analyzing, and explaining the communication behavior of a group of people with oligodactyly. The results of this research concluded that people with oligodactyly have special beliefs about "ade' tomatoa riolo" means the culture of the previous people have an effect on their survival. Departing from this understanding, the oligodactyly group believes that all of this cannot be separated from the existence of a great power that controls everything.

Abstract

Padungku merupakan fase paling akhir dari siklus pertanian dalam budaya suku Pamona yang disebut ta’u, yakni proses yang dilakukan dari mengolah sawah/ladang sampai masa panen. Penelitian ini berjudul Komunikasi Ritual Tradisi Padungku Dalam Harmonisasi Sosial Pasca Konflik Poso di Sulawesi Tengah. Tujuannya mengidentifikasi pergeseran makna pesan tradisi Padungku pasca konflik, dan melihat makna pesan ritual-ritual dalam tradisi Padungku sebelum konflik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis kualitatif memakai metode etnografi komunikasi yaitu menggambarkan dan menganalisis serta menjelaskan perilaku komunikasi dari kelompok sosial.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Selanjutnya data analisis menggunakan tehnik analisis data model interaktif Huberman yakni mengumpulkan data pada lokasi penelitian dengan menelaah hasil observasi dan wawancara lalu mereduksinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pergeseran makna pesan tradisi Padungku mempunyai dampak positif dalam harmonisasi sosial paska konflik di Poso Sulawesi Tengah. Makna mosintuwu; mangkoni-mangkeni; modero dalam tradisi Padungku mampu mejaga persatuan, kepedulian, dan harmonisasi, hingga tercipta sintuwu maroso (Bersatu kita kuat) di Tanah Poso

Abstract

The communication network helps provide the direction and policies of the Quick Response Team (TRC) Program "Saribattang" focus on addressing Social Welfare Problems (PMKS), especially street children, beggars, and sprawl. Rapid Response Team (TRC) "Saribattang" was formed in order to conduct patrol of Social Welfare Persons (PMKS) of Makassar City Social Service. So in the end, reduce PMKS in Makassar City. The research problem is how the operational characteristics and actions, evaluation and sustainability of Saribattang Quick Reaction Team Program for street children and communication network model for sustainability of Saribattang Rapid Response Team Program for street children development in Makassar City. The objectives and targets to be achieved are to understand and describe the characteristics of operational acts and determine the communication activities of street children in the communication network for evaluation and sustainability of the Saribattang Quick Reaction Team Program in the development of street children in Makassar and to find, describe and analyze the model of communication network network) for sustainability of street children development program in Makassar City. For the achievement of objectives and targets are used research methods Mixed-Method research (mixed method research). Methods for obtaining different but complementary data to understand the communication networks formed within the group of street children. The results showed that the non operational street children in Makassar is a complex social problem phenomenon. This phenomenon occurs in the community due to disruption of social functions, said to be disturbed because the child should be in a home situation, school or play environment in which there are interactions that support the child's development, whether physical, motor, social, psychological and moral. Such conditions can not be met by street children. They are required to work on the streets, the operational act they do it refers to the search for extra money, help parents and asked the family. Consideration of policies and strategies of "Innovation Desensitization" (acts of innovation through the development of communication and information) on the target group or individual street children through the communication network leader utilization approach among them. The role of opinion leaders to solve various problems of street children in their group communication networks. Especially in support of Fast Response Team (TRC) “Saribattang” in coaching street children in Makassar City. Establish interpersonal communication approach in integrated communication network. Aiming at the Social Service through Quick Response Team (TRC) Saribattang and street children in Makassar together open themselves in evaluating the successful implementation of programs directly. Model of communication network formation in order to facilitate information dissemination process or program of Quick Reaction Team (TRC) Saribattang in coaching street children in Makassar City. The program does not focus on street children alone but also on the family and other significance of the street children themselves.

Abstract

Homeless children and beggars are a problem in big cities, including Makassar City. The problem factors that threaten street children include violence carried out by other street children, for example sexual violence; drug use, alcohol and cigarettes; and infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS. Other potential can lead to crime, such as robbery, theft, robbery, and others in Makassar City. The research problem is the characteristics of operational actions, fostering and empowerment of homeless children and beggars based on expertise that can be developed through community development and empowerment programs of the Makassar City Government Social Service. This study can help sustain the development of homeless children and beggars in Makassar City and the Saribattang Rapid Reaction Team. The aim and target to be achieved is to find and identify the characteristics of operational actions and community development and empowerment program strategies through the Makassar City Government Social Service.The aims and targets used in a qualitative approach attempt to interpret the meaning and facts of the field, including the phenomenon of homeless children and beggars. The results showed that the operational actions of street children in Makassar City in general are family factors. The pattern of empowerment and coaching of street children through families, the policies that can be used to overcome the problem of poverty are anticipatory policies. Furthermore, the rehabilitative pattern, specifically for street children and beggars indicated there is potential for juvenile delinquency or even receiving abuse and inhaling addictive substances. Furthermore, empowerment and coaching are based on age characteristics and problems faced. Social Campaign is a way to make people aware of road users for street children and beggars to carry out educational functions. The purpose of this social campaign is to provide learning and awareness for both street children and beggars and the people of Makassar City

Abstract

Abstrak Interpersonal communication involves the exchange of verbal and non-verbal messages that can directly affect the sender and recipient of the message. The context of interpersonal communication can be applied to opinion leaders and minority groups in direct interaction. Relationship between opinion leaders and minority groups have differences in religion, beliefs, culture, and customs can be applied through open interpersonal communication, empathy, and equality. The goal is to maximize the role and opinion leader function of the majority group, namely the Toraja ethnic group in interacting with the Bugis ethnic minority group of Makassar for social harmonization in a multicultural and multiethnic society. The research method approaches the constructivism paradigm. Methods of data collection through Focuss Group Discussion, observation, and in-depth interviews. Furthermore, the data collected in the analysis uses a qualitative approach to generalize the conclusions of the results of data analysis inductively. Informants were determined through purposive sampling based on high opinion leader interaction levels with individuals or groups outside their ethnicity, with the aim that the informants interviewed had a wealth of insight and extensive knowledge about ethnic opponents, and had experience of associating with individuals or groups outside their ethnicity. 3 informants were chosen in Toraja Regency and 3 in Makassar City, and 7 Bugis Ethnic Makassar who interacted directly with opinion leaders and the community in the majority group. The results of the study found that interpersonal communication was carried out by open opinion leaders, empathy, and equal attitudes. Opinion leader applies the concept of interpersonal communication with minority groups through interpersonal communication skills, such as the ability to imitate, identification skills, and the ability of sympathy with minority groups dominated by ethnic Bugis Makassar and the majority group dominated by ethnic Toraja. The obstacle factor of interpersonal communication between opinion leaders and minority groups is first, barriers to the status effect, perceptual distorsion barriers, and barriers to cultural differences on minority groups that have different cultures, religions and social environments.

Abstract

AbstractThetransition from onlineto offlinelearning occurred during the covid-19 pandemic; this madestudents need time to adapt to the learning process. Therefore, innovation in learning is needed, especially in science subjects, where teachers can choose the suitable learning method; one method that can be used is the inquiry learning method. Thisstudy aimsto: (1) analyzetheeffectiveness of inquiry learning communication on student learning outcomes in science subjects in public junior high school 2 Makassar, and (2) analyze the effect of inquiry learning communication on student learning outcomes in science subjects in secondary schools. The first istheland of 2 Makassar cities. The method used in thisstudy is quantitative with a descriptive correlation approach. The sample in this study amounted to 144 class VIII students with the cluster random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results showed that (1) the effectiveness of inquiry learning communication affected student learning outcomes in science subjects at public junior high school 2 Makassar. There is a change in student behavior due to the stimulus carried out by the teacher during the learning process, and (2) There is a positive and significant influence of inquiry learning communication on student learning outcomes. The simple linear regression analysis results show the R Square value of 0.380. This shows that the effect of variable X (effectiveness of inquiry learning communication) on variable Y (student learning outcomes) is 38.0%. AbstrakMasa transisi pembelajaran daring menjadi luring terjadi saat pandemi covid-19, hal ini membuat peserta didik membutuhkan waktu untuk beradaptasi kembalidalam prosespembelajaran. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan adanya inovasi dalam pembelajaran terutama pada pelajaran IPA (Ilmu pengetahuan Alam), dimana guru bisa memilih metode pembelajaran yang sesuai, salah satunya yaitu metode pembelajaran inkuiri.Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu untuk: (1) menganalisis efektivitas komunikasi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA di SMPN. 2 kota Makassar, dan (2) menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA di SMPN. 2 kota Makassar. Adapun Metode yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif correlation. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 144 siswa kelas VIII dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik dalam mengumpulkan data menggunakan angket tertutup dengan skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Efektivitas komunikasi pembelajaran inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA di SMPN 2 kota Makassar. Dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat perubahan perilaku peserta didik yang diakibatkan karena adanya stimulus yang dilakukan oleh komunikator(guru) pada proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung, dan (2) ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan komunikasi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa nilai R Square adalah sebesar 0,380. Hal ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh efektivitas komunikasi pembelajaran inkuiri (Variabel X) terhadap hasil belajar siswa (variabel Y) dengan nilai sebesar 38,0%.
