Abstract

Abstract: Development and Testing of Teacher Competency Assessment Instruments with CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) and Profiles of State Madrasah Teachers. Objective: The study was conducted with the aim of producing a teacher competency measurement instrument in accordance with valid and reliable standards. This needs to be done because the instruments currently used do not have empirical evidence, the instruments are very long, and are not yet practical. This study also aims to provide an overview of the competency of teachers involved as research objects. Methods: The study was conducted on 124 state madrasah teachers at MAN 1 Malang, MAN 2 Malang, MAN Kota Batu, MTs N 2 Malang, MTs N 3 Malang, and madrasahs in Batu City, namely MTs N Kota Batu and MAN Kota Batu. The study was conducted by developing an instrument that was tested with CFA to obtain empirical evidence in the form of instrument validity and reliability. Finding: The results showed that the developed instrument met the goodness of fit criteria with an RMSEA index of 0.110; CI 0.0937 - 0.126; and CFI 0.926. The results of the study showed a very good instrument quality with a reliability of 0.950. The tested instrument was then used to measure teacher competency in madrasahs. The results show that teachers have 51.75% professional ability, 44.88% pedagogical ability, 44.46% social ability, and 66.56% personality. The majority of teachers' work experience is more than 10 years as much as 62.99% with the same percentage for teachers with educator certification. Conclusion: From this study it can be concluded that teacher competence needs to be measured periodically as a form of performance evaluation. The results of teacher competency evaluation are the basis for mapping and planning teacher competency improvement programs that will be visible to institutions and individual teachers so that they are able to present quality learning for students. Keywords: assessment instrument, teacher competence, CFA, reliability.

Abstract

Abstract

Effective data management is essential for policymakers, particularly in Torongrejo Village, where data collected from citizens is processed to assess village potential and inform decision-making. Currently, the data management practices in Torongrejo Village remain primarily manual and have not fully embraced available data processing technologies. An initial survey revealed that many village operators require guidance in utilizing these technologies for efficient data management. This service activity aims to address this gap by providing training and support to empower the village apparatus in managing technology-based data, ultimately striving towards a self-sufficient data management system. Implementing this initiative involves several stages: identifying initial problems, socializing the activity, planning, executing the training, and monitoring the outcomes. The training's effectiveness was evaluated through questionnaires assessing participants' understanding of technology-based data management. The results indicate a significant improvement in the village apparatus's comprehension of data management techniques before and after the training, highlighting the importance of technological integration in enhancing local governance.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan metode CBR (Community-Based Research). Training on Implementing In-Depth Learning for Teachers at LP Ma'arif Malang City Abstract Deep learning is currently a major focus in schools to improve the quality of learning. Community service activities were carried out with 40 teachers from 22 schools at the Ma'arif Islamic Junior High School in Malang City. The community service activities were implemented using the CBR (Community-Based Research) method. CBR is a collaborative approach to address needs through inclusive, participatory, and transformative scientific methods. Measurements of teachers' understanding of deep learning were carried out before and after the training through questionnaires covering aspects of learning understanding, assessment, and media utilization in learning. Analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics. The results of the teacher training activities showed an increase in understanding of the learning media aspect from 86.67% to 88.33%, the assessment aspect from 77.33% to 83.89%, and the learning aspect from 64.44% to 80.67%. These results are in line with changes in the learning process that took place during post-training observations. Teachers are better prepared to implement deep learning, starting from the learning tools and the process appears to be taking place according to the deep learning framework, although not yet 100%. It can be concluded that the training activities were effective and are expected to be implemented in classroom learning. Such activities need to be implemented and planned in collaboration with the education office and universities to improve teacher capacity in ensuring the quality of learning.
