Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan keterampilan membaca pemahaman melalui metode SQ3R Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang dilakukan secara kolaboratif bersama dengan guru kelas dan orangtua. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD 2 Petir yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes meringkas teks cerita fiksi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa proses pembelajaran dan tes membaca pemahaman melalui metode SQ3R mengalami peningkatan. Peningkatan ditunjukan dengan siswa aktif dan antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Siswa dapat menuliskan pertanyaan, menjawab pertanyaan, dan membuat ringaksan dari teks bacaan Peningkatan hasil ditunjukan dengan pencapaian ketuntasan klasikal tes membaca pemahaman yang meningkat dari siklus I sebesar 42,86% menjadi 78,57% pada siklus II sehingga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 35,71%.

Abstract

The digitalization era considers the media an urgent influencer for various aspects of life. The media's perspective also shapes perspectives and even influences decision-making for the community. Every media has an ideology. Framing analysis is intended to dissect the ideology of the media when constructing facts. On the other hand, the spread of digital media has impacted the ease of publication of literary writings as a factual form of self-expression. Poem as a type of literature has always been popularly chosen by the public because it contains both freedom and aesthetics. This study aims to describe the framing of the Kanjuruhan tragedy-themed poem in the Jawa Pos digital media from ontology, epistemology, and axiology perspectives. This type of research is qualitative. Data analysis descriptively positioned the researcher as the main research instrument. The data collection method uses basic tapping techniques and advanced techniques in the form of notes. The analytical procedure to determine framing is done by reading the poem carefully, analyzing the framing of the poem according to Entman's approach, and summarizing the findings. The results of framing research using an Entman’s approach seen from the depth of the perspective of ontology, epistemology, and axiology show that the poem published by Jawa Pos contains the sharpness of criticism and reflection by raising solidarity on the issue of humanism which indicates the alignment of creators to victims and criticizing state institutions and those in power. These findings add to the diversity of framing research using the Entman approach with new objects in the form of literary works. These results also indicate that framing analysis can clarify the ideology of a media in terms of everything it publishes.

Abstract

The use of technology is an important part of the learning process. Teachers are required to be able to utilize technology optimally and effectively. This demand has been strengthened since the covid-19 pandemic, which requires education to be able to adapt and accelerate quickly. Innovative activities that can be carried out are in developing teaching materials, one of which is hybrid modules. This activity is focused on giving training for middle and high school teachers on the use of barcode, fliphtml5 and flipbook applications, which can support teachers in converting conventional modules into digital or hybrid modules. A total of 90 participants took part in training activities 2 days through an online training by zoom meeting platform for the provision of materials and tutorials; guidance and assistance in making application products through WhatsApp groups consultations; and online meeting forums by zoom meetings for product presentations and reviews. This activity produced 55 digital modules. Participants' responses through the questionnaire stated that they were very satisfied and expected the training to be re-conducted for other teaching and learning innovations.

Abstract

Novels are one of the literary discourses that impact the field of literacy today. This is caused by the value content contained in the novel. The value content infused through the novel will indirectly provide learning and new perspectives for the reader. The novel written by the writer with an Islamic boarding school background, Khilma Anis, entitled Hati Suhita is an example of a novel with values that have an impact on the point of view and mindset regarding the position and representation of women, especially from the perspective of a female writer. This novel brings an interesting theme in the critical discourse analysis model of Sara Mills. This research focuses on the position and representation of women in the novel. This research method uses qualitative research. The data used is in the form of novel manuscripts. Data collection techniques through reduction, data display, and verification. The results of the analysis show that the dominance of women as objects (position and representation of women) is dominated through 8 elements, namely 5 elements of critical discourse analysis at the phrase/sentence level (Metaphor, Transitivity system, Proverb, Feminism and Ideology, and Jokes and humor) and 3 elements at the discourse level (fragmentation, focalization, role).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze speech acts, language varieties, and sociopragmatic aspects in Prabowo Subianto's victory speech within a sociopragmatic framework. The method used is quantitative content analysis, integrating the fields of pragmatics and sociolinguistics. The results of the analysis showed that in his speech, Prabowo used speech acts with declarative and imperative forms, as well as expressive, assertive, directive, and commissive types of speech acts. The functions include competitive, friendly, and collaborative. The use of language varieties is mainly formal, with the dominance of political and religious varieties. In the sociopragmatic context, Prabowo's speech shows an attempt to build an inclusive image, strengthen legitimacy, and emphasize the importance of unity in society. This research contributes to the understanding of political communication and its influence on society in a digital context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan strategi pembelajaran berbasis proyek ditinjau dari segi efektivitas waktu pembelajaran dan keaktifan peserta didik. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia materi vlog berita. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara, Teknik analisis menggunakan teknik analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman. Dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didik cenderung bosan dan kurang tertarik dengan proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung karena metode yang digunakan hanya ceramah dan monoton. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan agar peserta didik lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran juga mempunyai peranan penting berperan dalam hasil belajar. Strategi pembelajaran project-based learning merupakan pendekatan saintifik dan terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, antara lain mengamati, mengajukan pertanyaan, mengumpulkan informasi, menalar, dan mengkomunikasikan. Kemudian, strategi project-based learning dipadukan dengan teknik gambar bercerita. Melalui berbagai tahapan strategi, peserta didik dapat meningkatkan perannya dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Anthropocentrism is one of the perspectives applied in figuring out human relations with the environment. The environmental crisis happening in most areas of the world lately is allegedly the impact of anthropocentrism, which views humans as the center of the universe, and only humans have the right to utilize and make use of nature for their interests and needs. One of the environmental crises which hit the world today is deforestation. The description of deforestation and its various consequences can be looked through not only from the news in mass media or research reports, but also from Indonesian and Malaysian novels. This study aims at examining the issue of deforestation described in Indonesian and Malaysian novels. The method applied is a comparative qualitative descriptive with an ecocritical perspective. As data sources, two Indonesian novels and two Malaysian novels were selected, namely Api Awan Asap (Rampan) and Tanah Tabu (Thayf) as the samples of Indonesian novels; Penunggu Rimba: Tombiruo (Mursid) and Anak Belantara (Abdullah) as the samples of Malaysian novels. From an eco-critical perspective, the results of the study show that in the four novels studied, it appears that there is an issue of deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia which has resulted in various other environmental problems. The four analyzed novels reveal how local wisdom can prevent and fight deforestation which occurs in the forests of Kalimantan and Papua. Added to this, through the novels, Indonesian and Malaysian writers both present ecocentrism perspectives to fight anthropocentrism which causes deforestation. Some different views are expressed by Indonesian and Malaysian writers in dealing with deforestation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Karau Kuala melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek 28 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes menulis puisi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari 66,5 pada pra-tindakan menjadi 83,2 pada siklus kedua. Persentase siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) juga meningkat dari 32,1% menjadi 89,3%. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi karena siswa belajar secara aktif, kolaboratif, dan saling melengkapi pemahaman antar anggota kelompok. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran ini dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi di kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 4 Buntok melalui penerapan metode Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 22 siswa kelas IV tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode PBL mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa. Pada pra tindakan, siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) hanya sebesar 36,36%, meningkat menjadi 63,63% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 90,9% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini terlihat pada aspek struktur teks, kelengkapan langkah, penggunaan kata kerja imperatif, serta koherensi antar kalimat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks prosedur melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini juga memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan metode pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar, khususnya pada keterampilan menulis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode Project Based Learning (PjBL) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Dusun Selatan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental design) tipe pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel terdiri dari 62 siswa yang dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok: 31 siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dan 31 siswa pada kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes menulis teks prosedur sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik meliputi uji prasyarat (normalitas dan homogenitas), paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, uji effect size (Cohen’s d), dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 61,45 menjadi 80,32, sedangkan kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 60,87 menjadi 70,19. Uji t menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok (t(60) = 5,43, p < 0,001). Nilai Cohen’s d sebesar 1,12 menunjukkan efek yang besar. Peningkatan persentase pada kelompok eksperimen mencapai 30,7%, jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (15,3%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Project Based Learning efektif secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks prosedur, baik secara statistik maupun praktis
