Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP melalui penerapan pendekatan proses. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek 30 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis cerpen, observasi aktivitas siswa dan guru, serta angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan proses mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan rata-rata nilai dari 63 pada pra-tindakan menjadi 82 pada siklus II, dan ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 30% menjadi 90%. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan kualitas cerpen yang dihasilkan. Dengan demikian, pendekatan proses efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerpen dan dapat diterapkan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran menulis di sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca teks narasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Atap 5 Dusun Utara melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 8 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan membaca teks narasi siswa. Pada pra-siklus, seluruh siswa memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM. Pada siklus I, dua siswa (25%) mencapai ketuntasan, sedangkan pada siklus II seluruh siswa (100%) berhasil mencapai nilai di atas KKM. Pembelajaran kooperatif terbukti meningkatkan keaktifan siswa, kemampuan memahami unsur naratif, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan interaktif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan metode pembelajaran kooperatif sebagai alternatif strategis dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara teks deskripsi siswa melalui penerapan metode permainan kata. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B SMP Negeri 4 Gunung Bintang Awai dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 42 siswa, terdiri atas 20 siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 22 siswa kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes keterampilan berbicara teks deskripsi serta lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan berbicara siswa di kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkan metode permainan kata. Rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen meningkat secara mencolok dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi berada di bawah 0,05, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan metode permainan kata terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa. Dengan demikian, metode permainan kata dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara teks deskripsi siswa SMP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat membaca siswa melalui penerapan metode permainan rangkaian kata di SMP Negeri 8 Dusun Selatan. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat membaca siswa yang berdampak pada pemahaman bacaan dan prestasi akademik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest satu kelompok. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 24 siswa kelas VIII. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket minat membaca dan observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada minat membaca siswa setelah diterapkan metode permainan rangkaian kata. Hal ini dibuktikan dari skor rata-rata angket minat membaca yang meningkat dari sebelum ke sesudah perlakuan. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan sikap lebih antusias dan partisipatif dalam kegiatan membaca. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode permainan rangkaian kata efektif dalam meningkatkan minat membaca siswa dan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran berbasis literasi.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy at the Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture, Yogyakarta State University, from the perspective of students. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative data collected from questionnaires filled out by 63 participants with qualitative insights obtained from interviews with 2 MBKM lecturers and 2 students who have taken part in the MBKM program. The study investigates students’ understanding, satisfaction, perceived effectiveness, and relevance of the MBKM program, as well as challenges faced during its implementation. Results indicate that students generally understand the MBKM objectives and benefit from enhanced skills, practical experiences, and preparation for the workforce. However, issues such as administrative complexity, limited guidance, and insufficient socialization were identified as significant barriers. The study highlights the need for improved information dissemination, streamlined administrative processes, and stronger institutional support to enhance program effectiveness. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on student perspectives, offering valuable insights into how the MBKM policy impacts educational experiences and identifying actionable recommendations for program improvement. This study contributes to the ongoing evaluation of MBKM, ensuring it aligns with students' needs and institutional objectives in preparing graduates for the 21st-century workforce.

Abstract

ABSTRAKUrgensi permasalahan yang akan dijawab dari program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu perihal media pembelajaran inovatif yang menjadi kebutuhan mendesak di era perkembangan teknologi 5.0, sebab interaksi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar menjadi kunci untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal. Mitra pelaksanaan PkM ini adalah MGMP Bahasa Indonesia MTs Kabupaten Kebumen dengan target peserta pelatihan sejumlah 70 guru. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara terstuktur dari tanggal 10 Juli 2025 hingga 30 Agustus 2025 dengan metode bauran (luring dan daring). Pelaksanaan PkM dibagi menjadi empat tahapan, yaitu:  (1) penyampaian materi, (2) demonstrasi, (3) diskusi dan monitoring pengembangan media pembelajaran, dan (4) evaluasi serta tindak lanjut. Luaran yang dihasilkan peserta pelatihan yaitu modul ajar yang dilengkapi dengan media pembelajaran inovatif yang telah dikembangkan. Hasil pelaksanaan program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) berupa pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran inovatif Bahasa Indonesia bagi guru MTs di Kabupaten Kebumen menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik. Evaluasi kegiatan memperlihatkan bahwa seluruh aspek evaluasi memperoleh skor tinggi dengan rerata nilai 4,35 hingga 4,75. Hal ini merepresentasikan bahwa pelatihan berjalan efektif, relevan, serta sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru. Saran yang dapat diberikan yakni perlu adanya pendampingan dan kolaborasi antar-guru untuk saling berbagi gagasan dan hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran inovatif sehingga aktivitas belajar mengajar Bahasa Indonesia pada MTs di Kabupaten Kebumen dapat berjalan dengan lebih bermakna. Kata kunci: kompetensi guru; media pembelajaran; bahasa indonesia; teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. ABSTRACTThe urgency of the problem that will be answered by this Community Service program is regarding innovative learning media which is an urgent need in the era of technological development 5.0, because student interaction and involvement in the teaching and learning process are the key to achieving optimal results. The partner for implementing this PkM is the MGMP Bahasa Indonesia MTs Kebumen Regency with a target of 70 training participants. The training was carried out in a structured manner from July 10, 2025 to August 30, 2025 with a blended method (offline and online). The implementation of PkM is divided into four stages, namely: (1) delivery of material, (2) demonstration, (3) discussion and monitoring of learning media development, and (4) evaluation and follow-up. The output produced by training participants is a teaching module equipped with innovative learning media that has been developed. The results of the implementation of the Community Service (PkM) program in the form of training on the development of innovative Indonesian language learning media for MTs teachers in Kebumen Regency showed very good results. The evaluation of the activity showed that all evaluation aspects obtained high scores with an average value of 4.35 to 4.75. This demonstrates that the training was effective, relevant, and aligned with teachers' needs. Suggestions include the need for mentoring and collaboration between teachers to share ideas and develop innovative learning media, thereby enhancing the meaningfulness of Indonesian language teaching and learning activities at MTs in Kebumen Regency. Keywords: teacher competency; learning media; Indonesian language; information and communication technology.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative experimental study with the research topic on Indonesian language at SMP Negeri 2 Sawangan, namely poetry texts. This literary material is quite important for students to master because it is basic material in literature. The research design is a pretest-posttest group design in accordance with the objectives to be achieved. In this design, there are two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The objectives of this study are (1) to show that students taught using the think pair share (TPS) cooperative learning model assisted by audiovisual media and students taught using the conventional model have different learning outcomes in listening to poetry texts and (2) to show that eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sawangan are more effective at learning poetry texts in the listening element with the think-pair-share (TPS) cooperative learning model assisted by audiovisual media. The results of the study indicate that applying the think-pair-share (TPS) cooperative learning model assisted by audiovisual media for Chairil Anwar's poem “Ibu” is more effective in improving the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sawangan than applying conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the improvement the learning process of writing students' editorial texts using the problem-based learning method and the results of students' ability to write editorial texts using  the problem-based learning method of class XII-MIA SMAN 2 Tana Tidung. This research is a classroom action research. The subject of this class action research is class XII-MIA students of SMA Negeri 2 Tanah Tidung which totals 30 people, consisting of 7 male students and 23 female students. The research was carried out in two cycles consisting of four stages of each cycle, namely planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used in this study are in the form of questionnaires, observations, interviews, field notes, photo documentation, and writing assessment sheets. The data obtained were analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner supported by quantitative data.  The results of the study: (1) there was an increase in the learning process using the problem based learning  method in writing editorial texts for students of class XII-MIA SMAN 2 Tana Tidung which was shown by activeness, attention to lessons, enthusiasm, courage to appear in front of the class, and group cooperation so as to create a fun, active, and creative learning atmosphere, (2) an increase in the ability to write editorial texts using the problem based learning. The ability to write editorial text in the pre-action stage gets an average score of 49. In the first cycle, the average score was 75, and the second cycle obtained an average score of 86.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of the results of reading poetry text reading through the application  of the discovery learning  learning model in grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sebuku and the improvement of the learning process of poetry texts by using  the discovery learning  model in students of grades XI-B SMA Negeri 1 Sebuku.This research is a class action research (PTK) that has been carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Sebuku Subjects in This class action study is class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sebuku, consisting of 27 people. The object of this study is the ability to read poetry texts through the application  of the discovery learning model. The research was carried out in two cycles consisting of four stages in each cycle, namely planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used in this study include, observation, field notes, tests, and documentation. This study uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The ability to read students' poetry texts is seen from the limit of achieving the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) which is 73 and is considered for the implementation of the next cycle. The results of the study show that the application of the discovery learning  model can improve the ability to read poetry texts in students in grades XI-B SMA Negeri 1 Sebuku. The improvement is shown by the quality of the learning process which is reflected in students' interest and attention to learning, students' enthusiasm for learning, student activeness, and students' punctuality in collecting assignments. The improvement in product terms can be seen from the average score of reading poetry texts from pre-action to cycle II. In the pre-action, an average score of 54.7% was obtained, then in the first cycle it increased to 67.4% and in the second cycle it increased significantly by 83.8%.
