Abstract

The implementation of health promotion in hospitals faces various obstacles, one of which is the passive attitude of hospitals that only wait for patients to come without paying attention to health aspects in the surrounding environment. This study evaluates the suitability of implementing standards I, II, III, and IV of Hospital Health Promotion (PKRS) at RSUD Jenderal Ahmad Yani Metro City. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and involved eight informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of PKRS regulations at RSUD Jenderal Ahmad Yani has yet to reach the optimal level. Standard I has yet to be met due to the lack of regulation related to CHAP in the Hospital Strategic Plan (Renstra). In standard II, no health promotion needs assessment has been conducted for various related parties. Meanwhile, in standard III, health promotion interventions have been carried out well for patients and families, although there are still areas for improvement in interventions for hospital human resources. Standard IV shows that monitoring and evaluation have yet to be implemented consistently. Implementing the PKRS regulation at RSUD Jenderal Ahmad Yani still requires improvement to reach the optimal level.

Abstract

The Family Facilitator Team (TPK) compliance in Metro City in using the Electronic Application Ready for Marriage and Pregnancy (Elsimil) is still low, even though this application plays an important role in efforts to reduce stunting. This study aims to analyze the predisposing, supporting, and driving factors that influence TPK compliance using the Elsimil application. The research design was descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional method, involving 134 TPK members in five sub-districts of Metro City. Respondents consisted of 117 people (87.3%) aged >35 years and 17 people (12.7%) aged ≤35 years. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test and multiple regression. The results showed that facilities and infrastructure factors significantly affected TPK compliance (p-value=0.000; OR=192). Predisposing factors, such as knowledge, were also significant (p-value=0.003; OR=85.3). In contrast, enabling factors, such as support from community leaders, did not show a significant association. Improvement of facilities and infrastructure and education on the Elsimil application are the main strategies for improving TPK compliance. Efforts to strengthen technological infrastructure and organize comprehensive educational programs are needed to optimize the use of the Elsimil application to support the stunting reduction program in Metro City.

Abstract

This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of evaluating the implementation of the Hospital Health Promotion Programme (PKRS) at RSUD Jenderal Ahmad Yani Metro City in 2024. The research sample consisted of 8 informants selected using purposive sampling technique, which included 1 Head of PKRS Installation, 3 medical staff, and 4 patients. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Analysis was conducted using a thematic analysis approach. The results showed that the implementation of the Hospital Health Promotion Programme (PKRS) at RSUD Jenderal Ahmad Yani Metro City still faces obstacles, such as the lack of structured training for medical and non-medical staff, the non-integration of the PKRS programme in all hospital service lines, and the absence of structured ongoing evaluation. Strengthening the use of educational media, coordination between departments, and increasing the budget to support CSE activities are also needed. It is expected to improve service quality, reduce nosocomial infection rates, and strengthen public awareness of the importance of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour (PHBS) in providing superior health services.
