Abstract

Background Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in childrenis a heterogeneous disease with different subtypes based on their cellular and molecular characteristics. This condition wouldinfluence the treatment outcome and subsequent risk for relapse. Accurate assignment of individual patients to risk groups is a critical issue for better outcome. TEL-AML1 gene fusion is themost frequent in childhood ALL.Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the incidenceofTEL-AML1 children with ALL in Sardjito Hospital.Methods This was a cross sectional study. In this preliminarystudy, we used nested reverse-transcriptase polymerase chainreaction (RT-PCR) to analyze the present of TEL-AML1 genefusion in bone marrow sample of childhood ALL patients.Results We analyzed 41 samples. Out of these, 30 (73%) wereamplified. Twenry three out of 30 ALL patients with good medicalrecord were analyzed for this gene fusion. Out of 30 patients, there were five patients (17%) with TEL-AML1-positive gene fusion and 25 (83%) were TEL-AML1-negative. Among five patients with TEL-AML1-positive gene fusion, four patients (80%) were one year to less than 10 year old. All of the patients (100%) were with leukocyte < 50x109/L.Conclusions TEL-AML1 gene fusion was found in 17 % ofsamples. This gene fusion was more frequent in standard risk group (based on age and leukocyte). These data must be clarified with more samples. RT-PCR must be apply in all center as one part of improving diagnostic quality, especially in managing leukemia patients.

Abstract

Teluk Pabean merupakan perairan estuari yang memiliki sumber daya alam potensial bagi perikanan. Salah satu organisme yang memiliki peran penting dalam teluk tersebut adalah fitoplankton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelimpahan fitoplankton secara spasial dan temporal sebagai sumber makanan ikan di perairan Teluk Pabean, Jawa Barat. Pengambilan contoh fitoplankton dan pengukuran beberapa parameter fisik-kimiawi perairan dilakukan satu kali pada setiap bulan (Juni 2016-Maret 2017). Analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi komposisi dan kelimpahan fitoplankton, analisis ragam satu arah berdasarkan waktu dan zona pengamatan, kaitan parameter fisik-kimiawi perairan terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton di Teluk Pabean, serta fitoplankton yang dimanfaatkan oleh ikan sebagai makanannya di Teluk Pabean, Jawa Barat. Kelimpahan fitoplankton tidak berbeda pada setiap zona pengamatan, tetapi kelimpahan fitoplankton berbeda antarwaktu pengamatan. Fitoplankton yang ditemukan di Teluk Pabean didominasi oleh fitoplankton kelas Bacillariophyceae. Jenis fitoplankton yang dominan menjadi makanan beberapa ikan di Teluk Pabean Jawa Barat yaitu Nitzschia dan Pleurosigma dari kelas Bacillariophyceae.

Abstract

Comprehensive information regarding the reproduction, early development, and growth of larvae is very important in the efforts of captive breeding and reintroduction of endangered fish species. One of the species that is starting to be threatened is the Arfak rainbowfish, Melanotaenia arfakensis which is already in the vulnerable category and its information is still relatively limited. Therefore, this study was conducted to describe the spawning activity, early development, and growth of the larvae of this rainbow fish species under laboratory conditions. Experiments on a laboratory scale were carried out in March-September 2017. The fish used came from the Nimbai Stream. A total of three pairs of individual males and females ranging in size from 46.5 to 60.1 mm were selected for treatment. However, only one pair was successfully observed spawning activity completely. Spawning takes place between morning and noon in three spawning periods. In each period, spawning lasts between 8 and 11 days. Between spawning periods takes 14 to 22 days. After fertilization, the eggs are attached with filaments to the spawning substrate and placed at a depth of 7.3-24.3 cm from the surface of the water. One group of eggs spawned consists of 78-116 eggs with a diameter range between 1.05 and 136 mm. The eggs hatch in a period of 4 to 10 days. The body length of the newly hatched larvae ranges from 4.13-4.40 mm and will reach a size of 7.85 mm with a survival rate of 48.1% after 41 days. The results of this study found several advantages from the characteristics of spawning and growth in the early stages that are useful for captive breeding efforts and reintroduction of this rainbowfish to their natural habitat. Thus, its population in the Prafi River system can be maintained.

Abstract

Dalam proses pengambilan keputusan terdapat banyak kriteria dan banyak pula metode yang digunakan. Permasalahannya adalah bagaimana menentukan kriteria-kriteria dan metode-metode yang tepat untuk mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan dalam membantu penjurusan siswa di SMA Negeri I Grobogan. Dikarenakan saat ini di SMA Negeri I Grobogan belum mempunyai program aplikasi yang dapat mendukung proses penjurusan siswa sehingga masih menggunakan sistem penilaian secara manual (Ms. Office) sehingga pada prosesnya masih terdapat masalah-masalah seperti memerlukan waktu yang lama dan adanya kemungkinan terjadinya kesalahan pada proses penjurusan siswa. Untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah yang terjadi maka diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi yang tepat guna dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan yaitu sistem penunjang keputusan. Pada penelitian ini penulis  akan menggunakan metode WP (Weighted Product) dalam menentukan alternatif terbaik  penjurusan siswa di SMA Negeri I Grobogan. Sistem ini dibuat berbasis SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) dengan menggunakan model waterfall. Adapun urutan dari model waterfall itu sendiri dimulai dari tahap analisa dengan mengumpulkan data melalui observasi secara langsung pada objek yang diteliti dan wawancara langsung dengan nara sumber di SMA Negeri I Grobogan untuk memperoleh data, baik primer maupun sekunder, tahap desain dengan pembuatan CD, DAD, DFD, ERD maupun HIPO, tahap coding yang mana akan dibuat dengan Bahasa Pemrograman PHP dan menggunakan database mySQL. Pada tahap testing yang telah dilakukan dengan metode Blackbox hasilnya semua perintah dalam aplikasi dapat berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai apa yang diharapkan, sedang tahap uji kelayakan sistem yang telah dilakukan terhadap 10 responden menghasilkan nilai uji kelayakan sebesar 3,92 dari target minimal uji kelayakan sebesar 3,5 sehingga program aplikasi dapat dikategorikan bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Hasil yang dicapai adalah sebuah program Aplikasi Pendukung Keputusan berbasis webbase untuk mendukung keputusan penjurusan siswa di SMA Negeri I GroboganKata Kunci : Weighted Product, Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Penjurusan Siswa SMA.

Abstract

Early childhood development needs to be considered properly, especially cognitive development. However, there are still many parents who are less sensitive to this. Therefore, the authors conducted a study to determine the level of parental concern for the cognitive development of children who were analyzed based on parenting patterns. The research method used a survey method with a sample of 20 parents and 20 teenagers. The results show that there are 45% of parents who choose authoritative parenting and 45% of adolescents who get authoritative parenting from their parents. With this figure, parenting is very influential on children's cognitive development, some of the effects are 50% of people are easy to interact socially, 75% of people are easy to catch life's problems, 55% of people are difficult to find solutions to their problems, 60% are able to understand the concept of value/ love even though it is still difficult, and 65% feel a little involved in the learning process. The author advises readers to always apply authoritative parenting because it is included in the ideal parenting pattern. Abstract

Okra is one of many vegetables that could be cultivated in tropical climate countries. This crop also has healthy and pharmacy benefits. However, not many farmers grow okra in Indonesia yet. According to some literatures, okra is sensitive to low pH soil. This problem might be solved by applying organic fertilizer, in this case we tried to use organic fertilizer made from sugarcane baggase which available abundantly in Bengkulu. This research aimed to evaluate the effect of sugarcane baggase organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of okra. This study had been done in January-March 2019 in Bengkulu Province. The treatments were three dosages of sugarcane baggase: 10, 15, and 20 t/ha, and 200 kg of NPK (chemical fertilizer) was used as control. All data were analyzed with Anova and LSD 5%. Some important findings in this research as follow. Firstly, organic fertilizer made from sugarcane baggase had sufficient N, P, and K nutrient contents as required by national standard 2019. Secondly, the organic fertilizer had positive effect on decreasing soil acidity. Thirdly, the organic fertilizer showed similar effect as chemical fertilizer had in terms of plant height and number of pod. However, the chemical fertilizer confirmed significant effect than organic fertilizer on behalf of number of leaves, total weight of pods per plant, and productivity of okra (t/ha). The highest productivity of okra by applying the highest dosage of sugarcane baggase organic fertilizer was 6.01 t/ha, meanwhile it was 8.01 t/ha by applying chemical fertilizer.

Abstract

The potential yield of lettuce cultivation can be increased by fertilization, either in the form of anorganic fertilizers or organic fertilizers. The continuous use of anorganic fertilizers in plant cultivation can have an adverse impact on the environment. Therefore, the use of organic fertilizers in agriculture can be an alternative and reduce the use of anorganic fertilizers among farmers. Lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala (Lam) dewit) is a type of leguminous plant that has the potential to be used as a raw material for making bokashi fertilizer. The leaves of lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala (Lam) dewit)i have sufficient nutrient content and are in accordance with SNI standards. This study aims to determine the growth response and the best yield of curly lettuce plants in the lowlands at the dose treatment and application frequency of bokashi leaf fertilizer lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala (Lam) dewit). This research conducted at Bumi Ayu village Selebar, Bengkulu City from April to May 2021. The research method used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications. The first factor (bokashi dose) consisted of 5 levels (D1 : 5 t/ha, D2 : 10 t.ha, D3 : 15 t/ha, D4 : 20 t/ha and D5 : 200 kg/ha). The second factor (F1 : 1 MST, F2 : 2 times, 1 MST and 2 MSetT and F3 : 1 MST, 2 MST and 3 MST). The results showed that the dose of bokashi leaf lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala (Lam) dewit) of 15 tons/ha gave the best growth and yield as indicated by the variables of plant height, leaf diameter and wet weight of curly lettuce. The dose of 15 t/ha gave the result in the form of fresh weight equivalent to 1,799 t/ha.

Abstract

The objective of the experiment was to know the effect of vitamin C on gonadal development of giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) broodstock. Female broodstock of 30-60 g and male broodstock of 40-70 g average body weight were used in this experiment. The broodstock were fed with different dose of vitamin C in feed as 0; 0.05; 0.10; and 0.15% at 3-4% of biomass weight per day for 3 months. Gonado Somatic Index (GSI) value obtained from the diet with 0.15% of vitamin C was significantly different from others (P0.05). The supplementation of vitamin C in the diet of giant freshwater prawn broodstock is important for gonadal development.

Abstract

The research was conducted for six months from December 2003 to May 2004 to investigate the diet composition of chacunda gizzard shad, Anodontostoma chacunda. A total of 773 fishes were captured using gillnet with mesh sizes varying from 1.5 to 3 inches. The fish samples ranged 83–170 mm in length. For food habits analysis, the index of preponderance method was used. The dominant diets in stomach contents were Coscinodiscus, Pleurosigma and Rhizosolenia. There were no differences in diet composition between males and females among the sizes, and among the months. Based on index of electivity, the result showed that the fish preferred Coscinodiscus, Pleurosigma, Rhizosolenia, Gyrosigma, Melosira, Navicula, and Copepoda.
