Abstract

This study conducted a quasi-experiment to determine whether the PjBL can increase problem solving abilities and psychomotor skills of students. Data analysis was performed using SPSS obtained from the pretest and posttest students. Based on the results of the analysis, problem-solving skills of students experienced a significant increase of 15.17% with a corrected value of 58.12 in the control group and an increase of 31.27% with a corrected value of 68.65 in the experimental class. Psychomotor Skills students experienced a significant increase of 0.53% with a corrected value of 52.58 in the control group and 10.92% in the experimental class with a corrected value of 66.16.Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah PjBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah dan hasil belajar psikomotor siswa. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS yang diperoleh dari hasil pretes dan postes siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan, keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan sebesar 15,17% dengan nilai terkoreksi sebesar 58,01 pada kelas kontrol dan peningkatan sebesar 31,27% dengan nilai terkoreksi sebesar 68,65 pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil belajar psikomotor siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan sebesar 0,53% dengan nilai terkoreksi 52,58 pada kelas kontrol dan 10,92% pada kelas eksperimen dengan nilai terkoreksi sebesar 66,16.

Abstract

The research aims to produce extension video about clean and healthy life behavior that contains the character values to valid, practical, effective to improve community knowledge about how to protect themselves from diarrheal disease. Video was develodep using the ADDIE development model, and tested using one group pre-test post-test design with a total sample of 30. Data collection using questionnaire and test. The result of test to be analyzed with paired sample t-test. The result showed pre-test scores is 61,33 and post-test scores is 89,10, and the results of hypothesis test showed sig. (0,000) < α (0,05). Its mean, the extension video about clean and healthy life behavior that contains the character values effective to improve community knowledge.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan video penyuluhan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) bermuatan nilai karakter yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam menanggulangi penyakit diare. Video dikembangkan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, dan diuji coba menggunakan one group pre-test pos-test design dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket validasi dan tes (pre-test dan post- test).  Hasil tes  dianalisis dengan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor pre-test adalah 61,33 dan post-test 89,10, dan dari hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh sig. (0,000) < α (0,05). Artinya, video penyuluhan PHBS bermuatan nilai karakter efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat.

Abstract

Textbooks are learning guide books used by students in order to help achieve the goals of national education. Development of textbooks is one of the ways in which to facilitate the achievement of learning indicators. Development of Cell Biology textbooks by using bioinformatics approaches Dick and Carey development model. Textbooks developed validated by subject matter experts, instructional media experts, individual testing 15 students, and 15 students were group trial. Validation results matter experts declared feasible by 84% in good categories. The results of the validation study media experts declared feasible by 82.4% in good categories.Buku ajar merupakan buku panduan pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh siswa guna membantu mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional. Pengembangan buku ajar merupakan salah satu cara yang dilakukan untuk memfasilitasi tercapainya indikator pembelajaran. Pengembangan buku ajar Biologi Sel dengan pendekatan Bioinformatika menggunakan model pengembangan Dick and Carey. Buku ajar yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media pembelajaran, 15 mahasiswa uji coba perorangan, dan 15 mahasiswa uji coba kelompok sedang. Hasil validasi ahli materi menyatakan layak sebesar 84% dengan kategori baik. Hasil validasi ahli media pembelajaran menyatakan layak sebesar 82,4% dengan kategori baik.

Abstract

Abstract: Education aims to prepare students to become independent generations who are able to face the challenges of the times by having 21st century life skills, one of which is critical thinking, in fact contrary to the low critical thinking skills that occur in SMAN 2 Probolinggo. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of guided inquiry learning in improving critical thinking skills. This type of research is Class Action Research (CAR). Data is analyzed by triangulation through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Research Results guided inquiry learning model can change the way students learn to practice high-level thinking through learning syntax so that it gives the impact of increasing critical thinking skills by 18.75% students of class XI IPA 1 Probolinggo 2 High School.Abstrak: Pendidikan bertujuan menyiapkan siswa menjadi generasi mandiri yang mampu menghadapi tantangan zaman dengan memiliki keterampilan hidup abad 21 salah satunya berpikir kritis, faktanya bertolak belakang dengan rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis yang terjadi di SMAN 2 Probolinggo. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Data dianalisis secara triangulasi melalui  proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil Penelitian model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat mengubah cara belajar siswa untuk berlatih berpikir tingkat tinggi melalui sintaks pembelajaran sehingga memberikan dampak meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis sebesar 18,75% siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Probolinggo.

Abstract

The material is considered to be still difficult mostly related to the mechanism of action of the organ. SMP 18 Malang used as a place to study because there are elements of inquiry has actually been used by teachers, but still fragmentary, syntactic inquiry has not been implemented in full. Learning science most are still using the conventional method of the lectures. The medium used there only rely on manual print books, there module be accompanied inquiry interactive multimedia no one has made. Inquiry-based modules with interactive multimedia expected to be used to support student learning. This type of research is the development of research. The research model development using Thiagarajan. Stages Thiagarajan models include define, design, develop, and desseminate. However on hold at the stage of development research desseminate. Analysis of data using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed 82.14% of matter expert validation, validation media experts 83.33%, teachers validation 98.88%, validation students 94.19%. Based on the achievement of product development validation results are valid and fit for use. Suggestions that more needs to be done should be printed and manufactured product development.Materi yang dianggap masih sulit kebanyakan yang terkait dengan mekanisme kerja organ. SMP 18 Malang dijadikan untuk tempat penelitian karena disana unsur-unsur inkuiri sebenarnya sudah digunakan oleh guru, namun masih terpisah-pisah, sintak inkuiri belum dilaksanakan secara utuh. Pembelajaran IPA kebanyakan masih dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan metode konvensional yaitu dengan ceramah. Media yang digunakan di sana hanya mengandalkan buku cetak panduan, di sana modul berbasis inkuiri disertai multimedia interaktif belum ada yang membuat. Modul berbasis inkuiri disertai multimedia interaktif diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai penunjang belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model penelitian pengembangan menggunakan Thiagarajan. Tahapan model pengembangan Thiagarajan meliputi define, design, develop, dan desseminate. Namun pada tahan penelitian pengembangan hanya pada tahapan desseminate. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validasi ahli materi 82,14%, validasi ahli media 83,33%, validasi guru 98,88%, validasi siswa 94,19%. Berdasarkan pencapaian hasil validasi produk pengembangan telah valid dan layak digunakan. Saran yang perlu dilakukan lebih lanjut sebaiknya produk pengembangan dicetak dan diproduksi.

Abstract

21st century learning demands the ability of students to think critically, and able to solve problems. demands of 21st century competencies that must be owned by the students contrary to the real conditions In SMAN 1 Torjun. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of learning process oriented guided inquiry learning can improve critical thinking skills, and character class X SMAN 1 Torjun Kab. Sampang. The types of research is classroom action research (car). the methods used in triangulation include observation, analysis of documents and interviews. the result of research shows a model of process oriented guided inquiry learning can improve critical thinking skills, and character class X SMAN 1 Torjun Kab. Sampang.Pembelajaran abad 21 menuntut kemampuan siswa yang berpikir kritis, dan mampu memecahkan masalah. tuntutan kompetensi abad 21 yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa bertolak belakang dengan kondisi riil yang ada di SMAN 1 Torjun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan karakter siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Torjun Kab. Sampang. Jenis Penelitian Adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Metode yang digunakan secara triangulasi, meliputi observasi, analisis dokumen, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan karakter siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Torjun Kab. Sampang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect BETS learning to critical thinking skills and learning outcomes biology class X Senior High School in Malang. This research was conducted at SMAN 7 Malang from February-May 2016. Critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes measured by a written test, whereas affective and psikomor measured by observations during the learning activities. Result critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes were analyzed using statistical test with the help of software SPSS 22.0 for Window. The results showed there are the influence of BETS towards critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes; affective value of the experimental class higher than the control class; the control class psychomotor value higher than the experimental class.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran BETS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar biologi  kelas X SMA Kota Malang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 7 Malang pada bulan Februari-Mei 2016. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif diukur melalui tes tulis sedangkan ranah afektif dan psikomor diukur melalui observasi selama pembelajaran. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik dengan bantuan Software SPSS 22.0 for Window. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh strategi BETS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif; afektif kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol; psikomotor kelas kontrol lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a complex reflection process that helps individuals become more analytical in their thinking. Empower critical thinking in students need to be done so that students can resolve the problems that exist in their life and are able to apply alternative solutions to problems in a different situations. Therefore, Think Talk Write (TTW) combined Problem Based Learning (PBL) were needed to empowered the critical thinking skills so that students were able to face the challenges of the 21’st century. TTW combined PBL is a learning model that is expected to empower the students critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research was to determined the effect of TTW combined PBL to the students critical thinking skills. The research is a quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Samples were X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2 in SMAN 6 Malang. Data obtained from the critical thinking skills essay test. The data were analyzed using Anacova test. Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching materials of biology ubjects based on problem based learning combined by think pair share models that used in teaching circulation system at the 11th grades of natural science senior high school to improve students' science process skills. The development in this study following steps of 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) that developed by Thiagarajan. In this development study the teaching material just followed three steps until validation product at Develop phase. The teaching materials that developed in this study consist of syllabi, lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment sheet. Validation assessment was done by two lectures as education expert and content material expert from Universitas Negeri Malang and a teacher as practitioner expert from SMAN 1 Kasiman Bojonegoro. Validation by education expert shows the value of validity is 94.03, the validation by content material expert shows the value of validity is 91.50, and the result of the validation by practitioners shows the value of validity is 95.08. Based on the validation results of the three experts indicate that the teaching materials achieve very valid criteria that’s mean did not need to revision and can be be used in biology learning of circulation system to improve students' science process skills of the 11th grades of natural science senior high school. Abstract

Syzygium polyanthum has medicinal benefits, especially in its stem bark. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of methanol extract of Syzygium polyanthum’s stem bark to the inhibit of Escherchia coli growth. Extraction method done by maceration using methanol solvent. The extract used 40%, 60% and 80%, with tetracycline as a positive control and aquades as a negative control. Antibacterial activity tested by disk diffusion method. The result of antibacterial activity test analyzed using one-way ANOVA, followed by LSD test. The result showed that the extract concentration of 40%, 60%, and 80% have antibacterial activity with an average diameter of inhibitory zone, such as: 40% (16,2 mm),60% ( 8,5 mm) and 80% (16,3 mm), while the positive control 27,3 mm and negative control 0 mm. The results of the ANOVA analysis showed a significant value of 0.000 (p<0.05), which means there are significant differences in the effects of various concentrations of methanol extract of Syzygium polyanthum’s stem bark against Escherchia coli growth. The results of the LSD (Least Significance Different) test showed that all treatments were significantly different than concentration of 40% to consentration of 80%. The conclusion of the study is the methanol extract of Syzygium polyanthum’s stem bark have antibacterial activity against Escherchia coli.
