Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the mistakes made by students in solving straight line equation problems. this type of research is qualitative research. The research subjects were 3 students taken from 23 class VIII students of MTs DDI Singga. The results of this study were reviewed based on Kostolan errors showing that the mistakes made by students in solving problems were conceptual errors and procedural errors. (1) Conceptual errors for students with high abilities, namely: not writing down the formula, for students with moderate abilities, namely: not writing down the formula, and making mistakes in determining the formula, and students with low abilities, namely: making mistakes in determining the formula, and not writing down the formula. (2) and for procedural errors of students with high abilities, namely: inability to manipulate steps in answering a problem, and calculation operation errors, for students with moderate abilities, namely: inability to map the steps in answering a problem, and calculation operation errors, and for students with low abilities, namely: inability to map the steps in answering a problem, and calculation operation errors.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain a description of the analysis of the argumentation abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Palu on function. This type of research is descriptive research type. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were three students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 6 Palu for the 2021/2022 academic year. Students at a high level of mathematical ability have good argumentation skills because they are able to state what information is in the problem and at each step of completion (Data), are able to provide statements to solve a problem (Claim), are able to show data as well as provide evidence that is able to support statement put forward (Warrant), and able to reject the statement and explain the conditions under which the statement is not valid (Disclaimer). Students at the moderate level of mathematical ability have fairly good argumentation skills because they are able to provide statements to solve a problem (Claim), are able to show data as well as provide evidence that is able to support the statements put forward (Warrant). Students at low ability levels have less argumentation skills because they have not provided enough information about what is in the problem and at each step of completion (Data), have not been able to provide statements to solve a problem (Claim), have not been able to provide evidence capable of supporting statements made stated (Warrant), and also has not been able to provide an explanation of the conditions under which the statement is not valid (Rebuttal).

Abstract

This research aims to describe student’s problem solving related to combinatorial in class XII SMA Negeri 3 Palu viewed from self-efficacy. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are student who have a high levels of self-efficacy and low levels self-efficacy. The result of the research show that the problem solving profile of students who have; 1) high level of self-efficacy, a) understanding the problem stage, student try hard and persistently to interpret the problem by reading repeatedly to find information, b) devising a plan stage, students have strategic thinking, c) carrying out the plan stage, student solve the problem according to plan, d) looking back stage, students check answers. 2) low level of self-efficacy, a) stage of understanding the problem, students only rewrite the information in the problem, b) stage of devising a plan, students only read the problem as is so the plan used it wrong, c) stage of carrying out the plan, students made a mistake in solving the problem given, d) stage of looking back, student did not re- check the answers.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the types of errors made by class VII D students of SMP Negeri 7 Palu in solving line and angle problems based on gender. Data was obtained from the results of written assignments and interviews. The research subjects consisted of one male student (AA) and one female student (YS). The results of the research show that there are similarities and differences between male and female students in making written assignments number 1 and 2. Male and female students make the same mistakes in written assignment number 1. The similarities are: 1) Errors of not understanding the concept of the relationship between angles that are supplementary to each other, 2) the error of not understanding the concept of the relationship between the interior and exterior angles of a triangle, 3) the error of not solving the problem according to the instructions, 4) the error of not being coherent in the calculation steps, 5) the error of using arithmetic operation signs, 6) Error calculating the value of a calculation operation. Meanwhile, in written assignment number 2, there were differences in errors made by male and female students. The male students' mistakes were: 1) The male students were correct in doing the questions according to the instructions but not completely or comprehensively, 2) The male students were not careful and rushed in solving the questions. The female student's mistakes in written assignment number 2 were: 1) The female student was correct in choosing the formula but could not apply the formula, 2) The female student solved the problem not according to the procedure ordered. The similarity between male and female students in completing written assignment number 2 is that in the problem solving procedure they can group similar and dissimilar terms in the written assignment.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain a description or portrayal of the conceptual understanding of 8th-grade students in class G at SMP Negeri 3 Palu in solving statistics problems, with a focus on gender differences. This study adopts a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. The research subjects are 8th-grade students in class G at SMP Negeri 3 Palu. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. The results of this research indicate that male students have a better conceptual understanding compared to female students based on conceptual understanding indicators. Male students can fulfill four out of five indicators, while female students fulfill three out of five conceptual understanding indicators. Both male and female students can articulate the concepts of mean, median, and mode in their own words. They can present data in table form with the correct arrangement. Male and female students can solve mean problems using appropriate algorithms. Male students can classify modes, whereas female students struggle to classify modes accurately. Both male and female students find it challenging to associate the concept of median with the concept of mean.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan SPLDV menggunakan strategi pemecahan masalah model Polya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan menerapkan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah model Polya. Berdasarkan indikator ketuntasan yang telah dicapai oleh subjek dalam penelitian ini untuk masing-masing langkah pemecahan masalah model Polya mencakup: a) Langkah I yakni memahami masalah mencapai 96,55% pada siklus I lalu meningkat menjadi 100% pada siklus II, b) Langkah II yakni membuat perencanaan mencapai 91,38% pada siklus I lalu meningkat menjadi 98,22% pada siklus II, c) Langkah III yakni melaksanakan prencanaan mencapai 91,38% pada siklus I lalu meningkat menjadi 94,65% pada siklus II, d) Langkah IV yakni memeriksa kembali pada solusi yang lengkap mencapai 82,93% pada siklus I lalu meningkat menjadi 85,74% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi pemecahan masalah model Polya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan SPLDV di kelas VIIIc SMP Al-Azhar Palu. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas X dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan dan identitas trigonometri berdasarkan kriteria Watson. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian diambil tiga siswa dari 80 siswa yang terdiri dari satu siswa berkemampuan tinggi, satu siswa berkemampuan sedang, dan satu siswa berkemampuan rendah. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh subjek berkemampuan tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan trigonometri adalah prosedur tidak tepat dan masalah hirarki keterampilan. Sedangkan pada soal identitas trigonometri jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan adalah prosedur tidak tepat dan masalah hirarki keterampilan. (2) Jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh subjek berkemampuan sedang dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan trigonometri adalah data hilang, prosedur tidak tepat, manipulasi tidak langsung dan masalah hirarki keterampilan. Sedangkan pada soal identitas trigonometri jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan adalah prosedur tidak tepat dan masalah hirarki keterampilan. (3) Jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh subjek berkemampuan rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan trigonometri adalah kategori lainnya. Sedangkan pada soal identitas trigonometri jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan adalah prosedur tidak tepat dan masalah hirarki keterampilan. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang penerapan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing yang meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 6 Palu pada materi pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 3 orang siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 6 Palu yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah data aktivitas guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, dan aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran, wawancara, catatan lapangan, serta data hasil tes awal dan data hasil tes akhir tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, hasil belajar siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 6 Palu pada materi pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel meningkat sesuai kriteria keberhasilan tindakan, dengan enam tahap sebagai berikut: 1) stimulasi dimana siswa dihadapkan pada sesuatu yang menimbulkan kebingungannya agar timbul keinginan mencari untuk menyelidiki sendiri. 2) perumusan masalah yang sesuai dengan bahan pelajaran. 3) pengumpulan data sebanyak-banyaknya yang relevan untuk membuktikan benar tidaknya hipotesis. 4) pemrosesan data dimana siswa mengolah data atau informasi yang diperolehnya sendiri. 5) verifikasi atau pemeriksaan kembali secara cermat untuk membuktikan benar tidaknya hipotesis yang ditetapkan dengan temuan alternatif. 6) generalisasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada siklus I sebesar 58,6% sedangkan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 82,7%. Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, hasil belajar, pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel Abstract: This study aims to describe the application of guided discovery learning model that improves student learning outcomes of grade VIIB SMP Negeri 6 Palu on linear inequality one variable. The subjects of this study were 3 students of grade VIIB SMP Negeri 6 Palu registered in the academic year 2017/2018. This study was conducted in two cycles. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which refers to the design of Kemmis and Mc research. Taggart ie (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. The data collected in this research is teacher activity data in managing learning, and student activity in follow activity of study, interview, field note, and data of preliminary test result and data of result of final test of action. The result of the research shows that through the implementation of guided discovery learning model, the learning outcomes of students of class VIIB SMP Negeri 6 Palu on the material of linear inequality one variable increases according to the success criteria of action, with six stages as follows: 1) stimulation where the students are faced with something that cause confusion arises the desire to seek to investigate itself. 2) formulation of the problem in accordance with the subject matter. 3) the collection of data as much as relevant to verify whether or not the hypothesis is true. 4) data processing where students process data or information obtained by themselves. 5) verification or re-examination carefully to prove whether or not the hypothesis is established with alternative findings. 6) generalizations or conclusions. Percentage mastery learning classical in the first cycle of 58.6% while the percentage of classical learning completeness in cycle II has increased it by 82.7%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang pelaksanaan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbinguntuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 20 Palu yang berlangsung dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 20 Palu dalam menemukan rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan enam tahap yaitu : 1) stimulasi,2)perumusan masalah,3) pengumpulan data, 4) pemrosesan data, 5) verifikasi dan 6)generalisasi. Berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan, guru telahdapat menimbulkan ketertarikan siswa untuk menemukan rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga, serta dapat mengajukan pertanyaan yang membuat siswa membangun sendiri pengetahuannya berdasarkan teori konstruktivisme. Siswa juga telah mencapai indikator keberhasilannya yaitu siswa sudah saling membantu untuk menemukan rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga pada LKS. Selain itu, siswa sudah mampu menemukan sendiri rumus keliling dan luas daerah segitiga. Secara keseluruhan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model penemuan terbimbing dapat mengaktifkan siswa serta membangun cara berpikirnya sendiri. Kata kunci: penemuan terbimbing; peningkatan kemampuan; keliling segitiga; luas daerah segitiga Abstract:This study aims to describe the implementation of guided discovery learning model to improve the ability of students of class VIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu that wereconducted in 2 cycles. The result shows that learning process with the application of guided discovery learning could improve the students of class VIIA SMP Negeri 20 Palu abilities to find out the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas from the first cycle to second cyclein six level, which were: 1) stimulation, 2) problem statement, 3) data collection, 4) data processing 5) verification,and 6) generalization. Based on success indicator, teacher had been able to attract students interestto find out the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas, able to ask questions that helped students built their knowledge based on constructivism theory. In addition, students also had achieved success indicator in which they could help each other to findout the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas on LKS. Moreover, students had been able tofind out the perimeter and surface area of triangle formulas. In overall, learning process by using guided discovery model couldmake students become more activealso build their own way of thinking. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh profil kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matriks berdasarkan jenis kelamin di SMA Negeri 7 Palu. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara metode tes dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu siswa laki-laki (SH) dan satu siswa perempuan (DS). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan konseptual yang dilakukan siswa laki-laki (SH) yaitu : 1) kesalahan tidak memahami konsep rumus perkalian matriks, 2) kesalahan konsep perkalian matriks, 3) kesalahan tidak menerapkan rumus invers, 4) kesalahan konsep invers matriks dan 5) kesalahan konsep adjoin. Kesalahan prosedural yang dilakukan siswa laki-laki berupa 1) kesalahan dalam melakukan perhitungan, 2) kesalahan tidak menyederhanakan dan 3) kesalahan tidak menuliskan tanda operasi pada matriks. Sedangkan kesalahan konseptual yang dilakukan siswa perempuan (DS) yaitu: 1) kesalahan tidak memahami konsep rumus perkalian matriks, 2) kesalahan konsep perkalian matriks, 3) kesalahan konsep adjoin dan 4) kesalahan konsep invers matriks. Kesalahan prosedural yang dilakukan siswa perempuan berupa 1) kesalahan dalam melakukan perhitungan. Siswa laki-laki banyak melakukan kesalahan dari pada siswa perempuan dikarenakan, siswa laki-laki tidak teliti dan terburu-buru dalam menyelesaikan soal matriks. Sedangkan siswa perempuan tidak terlalu banyak melakukan kesalahan dikarenakan cenderung lebih teliti dan cermat dalam menyelesaikan soal matriks. Kata kunci: Profil Kesalahan, Jenis Kelamin dan Matriks Abstract: This research is a qualitative research which aims to obtain a profile of errors students make in solving matrix problems based on sex in SMA 7 Palu. The results showed that the conceptual errors made by male students (SH) were: 1) errors not understanding the concept of matrix multiplication formula, 2) errors in matrix multiplication concepts, 3) errors not applying inverse formulas, 4) inverse matrix concept errors and 5 ) the error of the adjoin concept. Procedural errors made by male students in the form of 1) errors in making calculations, 2) errors do not simplify and 3) errors do not write the operation mark on the matrix. Whereas the conceptual errors made by female students (DS) are: 1) errors do not understand the concept of matrix multiplication formula, 2) errors in the concept of matrix multiplication, 3) errors in adjoining concepts and 4) inverse matrix concept errors. Procedural errors made by female students in the form of 1) errors in carrying out calculations. Male students make a lot of mistakes than female students because , male students are not careful and in a hurry to solve the matrix problem. Whereas female students don't make too many mistakes becausethey tend to be more thorough and careful in solving matrix problems. Keywords: Error Profile, Gender and Matrix
