Abstract

The person responsible for implementing guidance and counseling services in schools is the guidance and counseling teacher/counselor. Guidance and counseling instructors have full obligations, accountability, power and rights to provide guidance and counseling services to students in accordance with established guidelines. A counselor is also an educator, namely a professional whose job is to: (1) determine the needs of students or clients; (2) create a guidance and counseling service program at school; (3) implementing guidance and counseling service programs; and (4) assessing how the program is implemented, (5) evaluating the implementation of the guidance and counseling program using guidance and counseling teacher assessment data. This instructor has all the rights, obligations, authority and duties in guidance and counseling activities for 150 students. Students can find their identity, adapt to their surroundings, and make plans for the future with the help of guidance and counseling services provided by the school. Regarding problems and potential fixes, the problem is. The problems and solutions are as follows: There are still guidance and counseling teachers who do not recognize and fulfill their obligations. The first step in overcoming this problem is to educate and enlighten guidance and counseling teachers about their roles and responsibilities in the classroom. 2) strengthen the desire for improvement among guidance and counseling educators.

Abstract

Understand the concept of accountability and supervision in the context of guidance and counseling, as well as to identify the requirements, forms, criteria, supporting factors, obstacles, implications, problems and solutions related to the implementation of accountability and supervision.  The research methodology used is the library method, where information is collected from various literary sources such as books, scientific reports and journal articles. Literature research is used to collect relevant information from various sources to support analysis of the concepts of accountability and supervision. The research results show that the concept of accountability and supervision in the context of guidance and counseling includes an understanding of responsibility to be accountable for performance or actions to the authorities. Accountability involves responsibility for performance results and services provided, while supervision involves monitoring and evaluation to ensure that organizational operations follow established procedures and guidelines. The implementation of accountability and supervision involves supporting and inhibiting elements as well as suggested solutions.

Abstract

Prevalensi stunting di Indonesia pada anak usia dibawah 5 tahun sebesar 22.3%. Sedangkan di Sumatera Barat prevalensi stunting lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan prevalensi nasional yaitu 25.6% pada tahun 2022. Kabupaten Solok dengan kejadian stunting tertinggi (40,1%) di tahun 2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat hubungan tingkat resiliensi dan praktek pemberian makanan dengan kejadian stunting.  Desain penelitian secara Case Control yang dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Solok wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Lasi. Subjek penelitian adalah ibu yang mepunyai anak usia dibawah 2 tahun berjumlah 51 orang dengan rincian 17 Ibu dengan anak Stunting dan 34  anak yang tidak stunting (1:2). Pengambilan sampel cara pusposive sampling. Untuk mengukur tingkat resiliensi Ibu, menggunakan skala Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) yang sudah diadaptasi Bahasa Indonesia. Praktek pemberian makanan terdiri dari tiga indikator yaitu keanekaragaman jenis makanan, kebiasaan pengasuhan anak dan PHBS dalam memberi makanan.  Data di analisis secara univariat, bivariat menggunakan Uji Chi square.  Hasil penelitian, terdapat hubungan tingkat resiliensi Ibu (p=0.016) dan OR: 5,510 dan praktek pemberian makanan (p=0.017) dan OR: 4,400 dengan kejadian Stunting pada anak di bawah dua tahun. Konseling Lintas Budaya  dapat dijadilkan salah satu alternative untuk meningkatkan resilensi Ibu dan praktek pemberian makanan oleh ibu dalam upaya pencegahan dan penatalaksanaan stunting.

Abstract

Self Disclosure is one of the social skills that must be possessed, especially for overseas students. These social skills will give birth to social interactions that will create good psychosocial conditions in social relationships. This study aims to describe the level of self-disclosure of overseas students in the Guidance and Counseling study program at the Bukittinggi State Islamic University. This type of research includes a quantitative descriptive research instrument, namely the self-disclosure scale. The population in the study were guidance and counseling students from outside West Sumatra, totaling 43 people. Sampling was taken using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study revealed that the self-disclosure level of overseas students at Bukittinggi State Islamic University was in the moderate category with 65.11% while the highest self-disclosure aspect was in the aspect of cultural perception. Research findings based on gender reveal that female students are more open than male students, namely in the aspects of perception of culture, perception of gender, perception of listeners, and perception of topics while men are more open in aspects of self-knowledge.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena pengelolaan layanan konseling perorangan yang masih belum optimal oleh guru BK di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan layanan konseling perorangan ditinjau dari aspek perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, penilaian, tindak lanjut dan pelaporan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dari penelitian yaitu guru BK SMA Negeri di Kota Padang dengan jumlah 88 orang. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan insturmen pengelolaan layanan konseling perorangan, kemudian diolah menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif. Hasilnya menunjukkan pengelolaan layanan konseling perorangan oleh guru BK di SMA Negeri se-Kota Padang umumnya baik (74,41%), dengan aspek perencanaan (72,56%), aspek pengorganisasian (74,73%), aspek pelaksanaan (78,98%), aspek penilaian (68,74%), aspek tindak lanjut dan pelaporan (71,76%) berada di kategori baik. Guru BK diharapkan dapat meningkatkan lagi kinerjanya dalam mengelola layanan konseling perorangan.

Abstract

Sexual harassment remains a pervasive issue in higher education, often exacerbated by a lack of assertive behavior among female students. In the context of Minangkabau culture, Sumbang Duo Baleh—a set of traditional values governing ethics and decorum—can serve as a foundation for character-based interventions. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group guidance based on Sumbang Duo Baleh in strengthening assertiveness among Minangkabau female students to prevent sexual harassment. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was employed. Twenty Minangkabau female students were randomly assigned to an experimental group (receiving Sumbang Duo Baleh-based guidance) and a control group (receiving standard group guidance). Assertiveness levels were measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test. The experimental group showed a significant increase in assertiveness scores from pretest to posttest (Z = -2.805, p 0.005), moving from low to high categories. In contrast, the control group showed only a moderate increase. Between-group analysis also showed significant differences in posttest scores (p = 0.011), indicating the higher effectiveness of the Sumbang Duo Baleh-based intervention. Integrating local wisdom into group guidance effectively enhances assertive behavior, empowering students to respond to potential harassment. This culturally grounded approach not only preserves traditional values but also strengthens character education within higher education institutions.

Abstract

Self-injury behavior is still found among students, especially in junior high school environments. Of course, this should be a concern for parents, schools, and especially Guidance and Counseling teachers to reduce self-injury behavior in students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of mindful self-compassion group counseling in reducing self-injury behavior in students. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 9 eighth-grade students who had self-injury behavior, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a self-injury behavior questionnaire with a Likert scale. The intervention was carried out through eight mindful self-compassion group counseling sessions. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results of the study showed that: there was a significant difference in self-injury behavior of students before and after being given mindful self-compassion group counseling treatment; the posttest score was lower than the pretest score; there was a significant decrease in self-injury behavior of students before and after being given mindful self-compassion group counseling treatment. Based on the results of the study, mindful self-compassion is quite effective in reducing self-injury behavior in students.

Abstract

Untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang diinginkan, penting bagi sebuah lembaga pendidikan untuk memiliki program-program yang terencana. Salah satu program yang sangat penting dalam kemajuan sekolah adalah Bimbingan dan Konseling. Program pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah dasar (SD) merupakan bagian penting dari pendidikan untuk membantu perkembangan siswa secara holistik, baik secara akademik, emosional, maupun sosial. Di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD), program ini merujuk pada serangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh guru Bimbingan dan Konseling, yang disusun berdasarkan evaluasi kebutuhan siswa dan dijalankan dalam jangka waktu tertentu. Tulisan literature review ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Adapun sumber referensi berupa artikel, buku, dan informasi dari media teknologi dan komunikasi yang sesuai dengan topik yang dibahas. Melalui literature review ini dapat dilakukan proses analisis, sintesis, meringkas dan membandingkan literature yang satu dengan yang lainnya. Hasil dari artikel ini adalah bahwa Penyusunan program harus memperhatikan kebutuhan siswa secara cermat, karena kesalahan dalam menilai kebutuhan siswa dapat mengakibatkan kesalahan dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program. Oleh karena itu, penyusunan program yang matang sangatlah penting untuk mencapai kesuksesan program tersebut

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to reduce the birth rate of stunted babies in Nagari Kinari, Bukit Sundi District, Solok Regency, through mindfulness training and health education for pregnant women. Stunting is a serious health problem affecting children's physical and cognitive development. One of the main causes of stunting is stress in pregnant women, which impacts fetal development. Mindfulness training was introduced to help pregnant women manage stress, thus creating a healthier environment for fetal growth. This activity was carried out for two days on August 3-4, 2024, in Nagari Kinari, involving 30 pregnant women as participants. The program included health counseling, mindfulness practice sessions, discussions, and consultations with health workers. The program results showed a significant decrease in participants' stress levels and increased knowledge about pregnancy health and the importance of stress management. The mindfulness therapy taught proved effective and can be applied by the participants in their daily lives. In conclusion, this training contributes to efforts to prevent the birth of stunted babies. It is expected to be a model intervention applied in other areas with similar problems.
