Abstract

This article aims to formulate the embodiment of the AUPB concept in the standardization and geocoding system of Indonesian urban and rural addresses. Furthermore, it analyses the synchronization of data security principles in standardization and geocoding systems for urban and rural addresses in Indonesia. Conceptually, the process of address standardization and geocoding in the context of AUPB is closely related to the orderly administration of government, accountability of government agencies and/or officials, and implementation of statutory provisions. Overall, the element of AUPB that plays the most role in the standardization process and the address geocoding system is the principle of legal certainty. The principle of openness is attached to data security, and both are synchronized in implementing standardization and geocoding systems for urban and rural addresses in Indonesia. Even though all columns in the address database are stored in Elasticsearch, only specific columns can be accessed by general users through the Geocoding System website. Hence, the addresses presented are general data and do not contain personal data.

Abstract

Inappropriate land use can result in changes in environmental conditions that have negative impacts on humans. Land use that is not in accordance with its capabilities can cause various disasters, such as excessive erosion, landslides, floods, droughts, and an increase in the area of critical land. The Riam Kanan sub-watershed is one of the sub-watersheds in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan whose condition requires conservation because this area has varying slopes, so if the land is not managed properly, it can cause flooding and other natural disasters. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out research related to the Land Use Capability Classification. The aim of this research is to analyze inhibiting or limiting factors and to formulate land use capability classes. The highest slope percentage of 15 - 25% is found in Land Unit 3 (three) Block A, Land Unit 4 (four) Block B and Land Unit 2 (two) in Block D. The lowest slope percentage of 3-8% is found in Unit Land 1 (one) Block A, Land Unit 1 (one) Block B and Land Unit 3 (three) in Block C. Other Land Units have a slope percentage of 8-15%. Land Use Capability Classes (KPL) obtained from the analysis results are 3 (three) Land Use Capability Classes (KPL), namely 1). KPL II with Soil Depth Limiting Factor "s". 2). KPL III with limiting factors for slope, soil depth and erosion. 3). KPL IV with Erosion Limiting Factor "e".

Abstract

The policy of working from home has bloomed since the global COVID-19 pandemic. New challenges arise when working from home where employees as individuals find it difficult to find the right balance between work and personal life (work-life balance). The influencing factors are excessive workload related to working hours, well-being, and social support related to psychological safety. This study examined the relationship between perceptions of working hours and psychological safety with the work-life balance of employees of private companies who work from home. This study involved 259 participants aged 20-53 years who are private employees who are working from home for at least two weeks. The results show that the perception of working time reduces work-life balance significantly, while psychological safety increases work-life balance significantly

Abstract

Landslide susceptibility mapping (LSM) produces a zonation map of landslide susceptibility levels, representing the future probability of landslides. It is necessary to give a guideline regarding spatial planning. A machine learning method was used, namely a random forest (RF) algorithm to map landslide susceptibility in Python. The case study is Palu City and its surrounding areas, which were attacked by a big earthquake on September 28th, 2018. Some earlier LSM studies did not discuss hyperparameter tuning, and several others did not mention the training accuracy. Therefore, this study is to find out whether the fast model without hyperparameter tuning and frequently overfitting, can well produce landslide susceptibility maps. The research questions were addressed by comparing two landslide susceptibility maps built with and without hyperparameter tuning using receiver operating characteristics (ROC) and landslide density (LD) analyses. This study shows that the area under the curve (AUC) of the landslide susceptibility map from the fast RF model without hyperparameter tuning is as high as the AUC from the tuned model map. It also happened in both landslide density (LD) maps, and there is no anomaly in the fast model map. Nevertheless, there are strange appearances in the fast model map. Therefore, hyperparameter tuning to obtain the optimal model with no overfitting is mandatory to predict landslide susceptibility spatially.

Abstract

Kata kunci: aliran bahan rombakan, Kota Batu, pemodelan, RAMMSABSTRACTThe debris flow disaster in Batu City, East Java hit 3 (three) sub-districts in the Batu City area on Thursday, November 4th, 2021. The debris flow occurred in a tributary of the Brantas River on the southern slope of the Arjuno Welirang Volcano Complex. The debris flow was controlled by water overflow due to increased water volume during high rainfall and dams upstream of the debris material consisting of wood, boulders, and landslide material. Field investigations and numerical modeling have become significant approaches in debris flow studies. Modeling was carried out using Rapid Mass Movement Simulation (RAMMS) software. RAMMS data input includes Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data, volume, initiation area, density, cohesion, as well as friction parameters μ (Mu) and ξ (xi). The results of RAMMS modeling and analysis, show that the friction parameters and DEM resolution are very influential. The results of the debris flow model for μ: 0.04 and xi: 500 are generally close to the 2021 debris flow with a maximum distance of 4.85 km and an area of 238622.83 m2. The friction parameter values resulting from modeling can be used to simulate the flow of other debris in the southern area of Mt. Arjuno Welirang to determine the potential threat of debris flow, especially in the Batu City area, East Jawa in the future. Keywords: debris flow, Kota Batu, modeling, RAMMS

Abstract

Background: Young workers represent an important phenomenon in the current labour market, particularly due to a noticeable shift from organizationally based career choices toward professionally oriented career paths. This shift often leads to instability, as many young workers tend to leave unsuitable career paths or remain unemployed while waiting for opportunities that match their aspirations, a condition that may potentially increase unemployment and poverty rates.Purpose: This study aimed to identify the main psychological elements that contribute to career success among young workers.Method: The research was conducted in two phases. Study 1 employed qualitative interviews with four young workers to explore their subjective experiences of career success. Study 2 utilized a quantitative survey with 148 young worker respondents, applying descriptive and inferential analysis to validate the identified elements.Findings: The results revealed that career meaning plays the most dominant role in determining career success among young workers, followed by work–life balance and psychological safety. These findings highlight the salience of internal psychological factors rather than external conditions.Implication: The study suggests that fostering meaningful careers, promoting balance between personal and professional life, and ensuring psychological safety are essential strategies to enhance career success for young workers, with potential contributions to reducing unemployment and poverty levels among educated youth.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of multifaceted job satisfaction as an antecedent variable and moderating factor influencing work engagement in the public sector. Drawing upon Bakker and Demerouti's (2007) model, the research adapts Spector's (1997) job satisfaction measurement constructs and tests them on a sample of 1484 employees. Employing a mixed-methods approach with a cross-sectional design, the study focuses on identifying key drivers of work engagement in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. All dimensions are constructed based on qualitative exploration through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving 122 respondents, and item formulation is guided by the mapping of dimensions using In-Vivo software. The study employs bootstrapping techniques, revealing a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) result with a Standardized Root Mean Residual (SRMR) value of 0.054 (<0.08), indicating a perfect fit for the model. All path coefficient indices exhibit a P-Value of 0.000 (<0.05), signifying the acceptance of all proposed relationships in the study. The findings contribute to understanding the intricate interplay between job satisfaction, personal factors, organizational factors, and work engagement, providing valuable insights for practitioners and policymakers in the public sector post-COVID-19.

Abstract

The relationship between perceived supervisor support and self-efficacy with acceptance of change has been commonly studied, but no one has examined the relationship between perceived supervisor support and self-efficacy on commitment to change especially on the implementation of change policies of government organisations in Indonesia. This study presents the findings of an investigation into the moderating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between perceived supervisor support and affective, continuance, and normative commitment to change. This research is specifically necessary within the framework of executing organizational change policies in government organizations in Indonesia. A survey was administered to 255 workers of a public sector organization who were undergoing a reform program. The analysis of structural equation modeling indicated a favourable association between perceived supervisor support and affective and normative commitment to change. Therefore, the connection between how employees view their supervisor's support and their affective and normative commitment to change depends on their belief in their own ability to succeed.
