Abstract

The general election of regional heads as one of the manifestations of democracy is one of the national agendas that requires serious attention from various parties. Community participation in making this event a success is something that should not be ignored. One form of community participation is to supervise the election process. Effective participatory supervision is expected to be able to realize quality regional elections, so that the leaders produced really meet the expectations of the entire community.To increase community participation in the supervision of elections, the faculty of social and political sciences of Pancasakti Tegal University conducted community service in Balamoa Village, Pangkah Tegal District, which was attended by community leaders, village officials, using the method of lectures and discussions.The result of this community service activity is the awareness and determination of the Balamoa Community to supervise the election process in Tegal Regency, marked by a statement of attitude in the form of an integrity pact to realize safe, peaceful and quality elections.

Abstract

The intensity of playing online games for adolescents in Sub District of Panggung, Tegal Timur District, Tegal City, has caused them to practice swearing. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of playing online games on the habit of swearing in adolescents in Sub District of Panggung, Tegal Timur District, Tegal City. This research uses quantitative methods. The data technique used was observation, questionnaires and supporting documents. The population of this study were all of the people of Sub District of Panggung, East Tegal District, Tegal City, with a total sample of 100 respondents. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression test. The results showed that there was an effect of online games on the habit of swearing in adolescents in Sub District of Panggung, Tegal Timur District, Tegal City.

Abstract

In 2022, Brebes Regency will carry out the 3rd stage of Simultaneous Village Head Elections, including in Bangsri Village, which involves the participation of Beginner Voters. Political participation is a form of citizen participation in the political process. In a democracy, the people are expected to actively participate in politics. The political participation of the Bangsri Village novice voters can be seen in various forms, including Pre-Election, During Election and Post-Election. Judging from the three forms of participation, the participation of novice voters in the Bangsri Village head election looks low. This study uses the theory of Political Participation (Gabriel Almond), namely the Conventional Political Participation Form, which is a normal and legal form of participation as a research analysis knife and as an instrument to conduct in-depth studies to determine the political participation of the Bangsri Village community. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Descriptive analysis method is used to obtain a systematic, factual and accurate description of the facts, characteristics and relationships between the phenomena being investigated. The results of this study indicate that the Political Participation of Beginner Voters in the Election of the Bangsri Village Head, Bulakamba District in participation in the KPPS Committee and Officer, knowing DPT information, seeing the determination and taking of the serial number of the village head candidate, participating in the Timses of one of the candidates, participating in the campaign agenda , voting, and watching the vote count is still considered low. There are several factors that cause the political participation of novice voters is still low, namely the heavy factor in work, heavy on school, wandering, and lack of experience. So that the political participation of novice voters in Bangsri Village is still not maximized.

Abstract

This study discusses social development based on religiosity and programmatic politics. Both are discussed in depth in this research so that readers can find descriptions and analysis points from various points of view. The urgency in this research is to find out that social development must be accompanied by innovation, citizen participation and the central role of the creator, namely the Tanjung Village Government. The construction of the Islamic Center in the village of Tanjung is a trigger for increasing religiosity, ease of access to educational facilities and in the long term will give birth to social piety and improve the quality of human resources in the surrounding community. The results of the research show that social development innovations involving external partners will produce optimal results but with the condition that there is active participation of its citizens. Good development starts from the aspirations of the residents and has been programmed, therefore the Head of the Tanjung Er Suwardi village is trying to make it happen, a good image as the figure behind the success of development will stick with him so that he will be able to be re-elected in the next Pilkades. This research has deficiencies that can be refined through further research by focusing more on the negative impacts of social development in order to further enrich the reader's knowledge that social development can also have undesirable impacts.

Abstract

Media sosial memiliki peran yang besar dalam pelayanan publik, Diskominfo sebagai leading sektor penggunaan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) memegang peran penting dalam pengaplikasian TIK dalam pemerintahan pada tingkat daerah. Twitter adalah media sosial paling populer yang digunakan dalam penyebaran informasi, Twitter adalah layanan 'microblogging', di mana pengguna mendaftar secara gratis, di indonesia pengguna aktif twitter Indonesia mencapai 24,34 juta pengguna. Penelitian ini akan mengungkap efektivitas penggunaan twitter sebagai alat penyebaran informasi dalam pelayanan publik melalui akun diskominfo Pemalang yang beralamat di @KominfoPemalang yang memiliki aktif sebanyak 4.461 sedangkan mengikuti sebanyak 283 akun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan penelusuran pada akun twitter @KominfoPemalang, analisis data peneliti menggunakan bantuan aplikasi NVivo 12 Plus untuk melihat berbagai hubungan dan jaringan yang dimiliki. Langkah awal dimulai dengan input data melalui fitur NCapture pada Nvivo yang dilakukan rentang data yang diambil sejak awal akun aktif hingga tanggal 10 September 2021, kemudian koding, eksplorasin, Visualisasi data dan, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan, bahwa penggunaan twitter dalam menyebarkan informasi dalam pelayanan publik belum maksimal, karena beberapa faktor seperti konten, partisipasi masyarakat dan lemahnya integrasi sosial media antar dinas di Pemerintahan Kabupaten Pemalang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pemanfaatan seni pewayangan sebagai media kampanye politik calon bupati Brebes, Paramitha Widya Kusuma, serta mengkaji efektivitas dan tantangan pewayangan dalam komunikasi politik. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis wacana, melalui wawancara mendalam dengan dalang Ki Haryo Enthus Susmono, tim sukses, dan masyarakat audiens, serta observasi langsung pertunjukan wayang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seni pewayangan efektif sebagai media kampanye politik, membangun kedekatan emosional antara calon bupati dan masyarakat, terutama di kalangan pemilih yang memiliki keterikatan budaya. Dalang berperan sebagai komunikator politik yang mengemas pesan kampanye secara simbolis dan menghibur. Namun, tantangan muncul dalam menjangkau generasi muda yang lebih tertarik pada media digital. Pewayangan memiliki potensi besar dalam membangun partisipasi politik masyarakat, tetapi perlu diintegrasikan dengan metode komunikasi modern untuk menjangkau audiens yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze communication patterns in dysfunctional families and understand how resilience develops in children in Tegal City. Methodology: This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with children from dysfunctional families and interviews with parents, teachers, and child psychologists in Tegal City. Results: Communication patterns in dysfunctional families in Tegal City significantly impact children’s emotional and social development. However, resilience is a key factor that allows children to survive and thrive under difficult conditions. Support from the surrounding environment, such as schools and social communities, plays an important role in helping children from dysfunctional families build psychological resilience and achieve a better life. Conclusions: This study shows that communication patterns in dysfunctional families in Tegal Citsy, both in structurally intact and incomplete families, significantly influence children's resilience levels. Limitations: Research on the analysis of communication patterns in dysfunctional families and resilience in children in Tegal City has several limitations, namely having a limited sample, using qualitative methods and focusing on one location (Tegal City). Contribution: This study can improve understanding and increase public awareness of communication patterns in dysfunctional families and child resilience. This study can also be used by clinical practitioners to develop more effective intervention strategies in the future.

Abstract

This study analyzes the representation of social care in the film A Man Called Otto through a semiotic approach of Charles Sanders Pierce. The object of this research is the film A Man Called Otto, with the aim of identifying and interpreting the signs, symbols, and meanings contained within it related to the representation of social care. The research method used is semiotic analysis, which involves identifying iconic, indexical, and symbolic signs in the film, as well as interpreting meanings based on cultural and social contexts. The results of the study show that the film A Man Called Otto represents social care in various ways, including through the main character's actions in helping neighbors, interactions between diverse characters, and the transformation of Otto's character from an indifferent individual to a more caring one.

Abstract

This article examines the constitutional deviation of the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024 in two news media, Kompas.com and CNNIndonesia.com. The research uses Robert Entman's four framing elements and 21 news articles from Kompas.com and CNNIndonesia.com. Results show Kompas.com raises issues supporting Anwar Usman's vice presidential nomination, while CNNIndonesia.com addresses deficiencies in the decision sent by Usman, resulting in eight judges rejecting changes in age limit requirements.

Abstract

The song "Darurat Judi" by Amis is a work that reflects the phenomenon of online gambling that is increasingly widespread in Indonesia, especially among teenagers. This research aims to reveal the meaning behind the lyrics of the song, which not only serves as entertainment but also as a medium to convey a moral message about the dangers of gambling. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, which includes the denotative and connotative meanings of the lyrics. The results of the analysis show that the lyrics of this song depict the experience of gambling addiction, regret, and the social and psychological impacts that arise. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that "Darurat Judi" is not just a song, but also a call for social awareness and prevention against the harmful practices of gambling. The message conveyed in this song is relevant to the current social conditions, where online gambling is becoming increasingly accessible and can trap many individuals, especially the younger generation.
