Abstract

The movie “Tuhan Izinkan Aku Berdosa” illustrates problems related to the phenomenon of religion that is only a formality, without deep spiritual meaning. In addition, there are conflicts and oppression against women that are politicized under the pretext of religion, as well as a crisis of faith experienced by individuals due to traumatic experiences and social injustice. The inner conflict of Kiran's character becomes a real reflection of the struggle between faith and a social reality full of oppression and discrimination. This research aims to analyze the representation of Kiran's faith, as well as reveal how the film criticizes traditional religious norms and the oppression of women in the context of modern Indonesian socio-culture that is still patriarchal. This research uses a qualitative approach with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis. The analysis technique includes the identification of denotative, connotative and mythical signs in the narrative and visual symbols of the film to reveal hidden meanings about faith and social criticism and power dynamics in the context of religion.The final findings of the study show that the film “God Permits Me to Sin” represents faith in various ways, including the use of the concept of the Five Pillars of Faith which is full of inner struggles and religious practices that are not always normative. The representation of faith in Kiran's character does not only depict formal religious observance, but rather explores Kiran's life journey as a reflection of a dynamic faith and religious practice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan terhadap loyalitas pegawai di lingkungan pemerintah daerah. Komunikasi kepemimpinan memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk iklim organisasi, memotivasi pegawai, serta menumbuhkan komitmen terhadap pelayanan publik. Dalam konteks birokrasi Indonesia, kepemimpinan sering kali diasosiasikan dengan komunikasi yang hierarkis dan formal, sehingga dapat menghambat perkembangan loyalitas pegawai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana perbedaan gaya komunikasi—transformasional, transaksional, demokratis, dan otoriter—mempengaruhi tingkat loyalitas aparatur sipil negara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed-method), dengan memadukan data survei dari pegawai pemerintah daerah dan wawancara mendalam untuk memperoleh gambaran kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Loyalitas pegawai diukur melalui dimensi komitmen organisasi, keterikatan emosional, dan kesediaan untuk tetap mengabdi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemimpin yang menerapkan komunikasi terbuka, partisipatif, dan empatik secara signifikan meningkatkan loyalitas pegawai, sedangkan gaya komunikasi otoriter atau transaksional cenderung melemahkan komitmen jangka panjang.Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap wacana manajemen sumber daya manusia sektor publik dengan menekankan pentingnya komunikasi kepemimpinan dalam memperkuat kinerja birokrasi. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah agar pemerintah daerah mengembangkan program peningkatan kapasitas kepemimpinan yang berfokus pada keterampilan komunikasi partisipatif dan transformasional untuk membangun tenaga kerja yang lebih loyal, termotivasi, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study two things: how gay people use the Hornet application in Tegal City and how this application impacts gay people. This research is a phenomenological study. Apart from that, the data collection method uses first observation, in-depth interviews with five main informants—gays—using the Hornet application, and collecting documents relevant to the research objectives. The research results show that several communication patterns are used in interacting with the hornet application: 1) communication patterns to seek friendship; 2) communication patterns to seek relationships; 3) communication patterns for seeking meetings; 4) communication patterns using special language or nonverbal language; 5) communication patterns that use stimuli; and 6) communication patterns that determine behavior when given stimuli. According to the five informants, the Hornet application is relevant for gay groups in terms of openness about their sexual orientation.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the extent to which Instagram and TikTok affect the level of self-disclosure among Communication Science students at UPS Tegal. In this manner, the objective is to determine whether Instagram and TikTok are related. Following this, quantitative research was conducted utilizing techniques of purposive sampling. The Slovin formula is applied to 61 UPS Tegal Communication Science students using this method. In this study, Instagram and TikTok serve as the independent and dependent variables, respectively, with regard to self-disclosure. As a data collection instrument, Google Forms is utilized to administer the survey. Validity and reliability assessments are conducted in order to evaluate the instrument. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics, pre-requisite tests, and hypothesis testing were implemented. Self-disclosure is positively correlated with Instagram and TikTok, as indicated by the findings of the research data analysis (r = -0.451, greater than 0.176). In conclusion, as the functionality of Instagram and TikTok improves, so does the degree of candor among students.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the extent of the influence of promotional strategies, product quality, and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty to Indosat Ooredoo card customers. The type of research used is explanatory research. The population is all Indosat Ooredoo card customers in Demak Regency. The technique of determining the sample is by purposive sampling. In this study, the number of samples used was 131 respondents. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Data collection techniques through online questionnaires using a Likert scale. Sources of data are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study based on partial testing in this study are each variable namely promotion strategy, product quality, and customer satisfaction has proven to have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Based on the results of simultaneous testing, it is in a strong category because promotion strategies, product quality, and customer satisfaction are proven to have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This article examines the meaning of longing in the lyrics of the song “Gala Bunga Matahari” by Sal Priadi through Roland Barthes semiotic analysis. The purpose of this article is to find the meaning of longing in the song by using Roland Barthes' theory which explains denotation meaning, connotation meaning, and mythical meaning. The research method used is interpretive qualitative method or inductive way of thinking, which is a way of thinking from specific to general. The data collection technique used is a document study, namely by searching and obtaining from various sources that contain the necessary data. The results of the semiotic study of the lyrics of the song “Gala Bunga Matahari” by Sal Priadi are first, the denotation meaning, the songwriter wants to convey a great feeling of longing for someone who is gone and wants to meet even if only in a dream in the form of a sunflower. This is evidenced in every stanza of the song explaining hope and longing for someone who is gone. Second, the connotation meaning, the songwriter feels sadness and hope in himself because he cannot meet again and hopes that loved ones get a good life in the afterlife. This is evidenced in the first, second, fourth and seventh stanzas. Third, the mythical meaning, the author wants to convey the message that the intense longing for a person who has passed away by trying to believe in the prayers that are sent for the happiness of the deceased and believe that we can continue life well, this longing and sadness can be treated by letting go, accepting, and believing. This is evidenced in the third, fifth, and eighth stanzas.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how the content of the Dirty Vote film circulating on TikTok Social Media influences public perception of the election process and the results of the 2024 Election. The film "Dirty Vote" is a 1 hour 57 minute political film depicting allegations of fraud in the presidential election process in a fictional country. The research method used in this article is a qualitative approach by conducting content analysis of comments and responses from the public on TikTok social media related to the film "Dirty Vote". The results of the study show that this film succeeded in creating significant buzz and discussion on the platform. Many TikTok users expressed their opinions on the issue of fraud in the 2024 Presidential Election and shared the film with their followers. This shows that TikTok social media can be an effective tool for disseminating political information and influencing public opinion. In conclusion, the film "Dirty Vote" on TikTok social media has a significant influence on public perceptions to the issue of fraud in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Abstract

Meningkatnya pemberitaan Kasus kejahatan pelecehan seksual di kampus menimbulkan rasa kekhawatiran kepada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Terpaan Berita Pelecehan Seksual di Kampus Terhadap Tingkat Kecemasan Mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Pancasakti Tegal. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori uses and effect. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Pancasakti Tegal angkatan 2018 sampai 2021 dengan sampel sebanyak 53 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian dengan membandingkan t hitung dengan t tabel dengan tingkat sig. 5% mempunyai nilai 5,205 > 2,008 yang menunjukkan bahwa terpaan berita pelecehan seksual di kampus berpengaruh positif terhadap tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa dan dengan besaran pengaruh sebesar 34,7% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 65,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis model komunikasi yang digunakan oleh dua pendakwah, yaitu Habib Husein Jafar dan Aab Elkarimi, dalam menyebarkan pesan-pesan dakwah melalui fenomena-fenomena dakwah di media sosial. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kedua pendakwah ini menggunakan media sosial, khususnya Tiktok dan Instagram, untuk mengkomunikasikan pesan-pesan agama serta mengangkat isu-isu sosial dan politik yang relevan. Metode analisis dilakukan dengan mengamati konten-konten tiktok dari kedua pendakwah dan menganalisis pendekatan komunikasi yang mereka gunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendakwah Habib Husein Jafar mengadopsi gaya komunikasi yang modern dan sesuai dengan kalangan muda, dengan penampilan dan gaya berbicara yang berbeda dari citra umum "Habib". Ia memanfaatkan fenomena-fenomena sosial sehari-hari sebagai titik masuk untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan agama Islam yang dapat diterima oleh kalangan anak muda. Di sisi lain, Aab Elkarimi sebagai konten kreator muda, mengadopsi pendekatan kritis dalam menyajikan analisis mendalam mengenai isu-isu sosial, politik, dan agama. Ia mengajak audiensnya untuk berpikir kritis tentang fenomena yang terjadi dan mengaitkannya dengan ajaran agama Islam. Keduanya berhasil mencapai target sasaran mereka, yaitu anak muda, dengan efek positif. Pesan-pesan yang mereka sampaikan membantu membangun pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang ajaran agama Islam, mengatasi stereotip negatif terhadap agama, dan mendorong pandangan yang lebih kritis terhadap isu-isu sosial dan politik. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana pendakwah dapat menggunakan media sosial sebagai sarana efektif untuk menyebarkan pesan-pesan agama dan menjembatani antara ajaran agama dengan realitas sosial dan politik yang dihadapi oleh audiens mereka di era digital saat ini.

Abstract

The researchers are revitalizing the branding of Tegal City as the Japanese of Indonesia through strengthening metal industrialization by networking with the manufacturing industry. This policy was carried out because of the potential for a home industry-based metal industry. This potential can undoubtedly become a brand that has long been owned by Tegal City but needs more touch and attention from the government. The researchers adopted a dual case study strategy with an exploratory qualitative approach as our research strategy. The discussion obtained from this research is the need for a link and match between the home metal and manufacturing industries. Even though there has been direct contact, the productivity of the home metal industry could have been better. In conclusion, we are revitalizing the branding of Tegal city as Japan Indonesia requires an injection of investors, quality human resource training to meet the demands of the manufacturing industry, and modernization of machines to increase the productivity of the home metal industry players.
