Abstract

The people of Aceh Jaya are people who are still hold firm with local culture from generation to generation, one of which is in traditional medicine using natural ingredients. Local wisdom has a close relationship with the culture or tradition of an area.Various local wisdom practices that are still maintained by the Indonesian people can be one of the strategies for environmental protection and management. The purpose of this study is to analyze the local wisdom of the people of Aceh Jaya which is still preserved, especially in traditional medicine using natural ingredients and also to increase student knowledge about chemistry. This type of research is descriptive qualitative through data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study were obtained that Balakacida leaves are used by the people of Aceh Jaya to treat wounds, hibiscus leaves can treat fever, jujube leaves to treat smallpox, a mixture of sunti, onion and salt is used to treat possessed, water henna leaves to treat ulcers, coconut fruit flowers can treat smallpox,Jatropha curcas leaves gum for diarrhea and flatulence medicine, peacock flower leaves can treat fever,kapuk leaf (Ceiba Petandra) can treat cough, kedondong forest (spondias pinnata) to treat coughs, and Sembung leaves (blumea balsamifera) can treat fever. The conclusion of this study is that the people of Aceh Jaya still use traditional medicine from natural ingredients as a form of local wisdom that is still maintained.

Abstract

Students still consider mathematics learning in school difficult. One of thefactors causing this difficulty is because mathematics material is dominated byabstract material. The purpose of this research is: to determine the learningoutcomes of student learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Instruction Model. The selection of a learning model plays a large enoughrole to achieve educational goals. For that, we need a learning model that is ableto increase student interest, motivation and learning outcomes. One learningmodel that can be used is Problem Based Instruction which emphasizes studentactivity. Problems in the learning process are directed to those related to everyday life so that students can immediately understand them. The populationin this study were all students of 8th grade totaling 50 students.The sample inthis study were students of 8th grade State Junior High School 14 Banda Aceh, as many as 25 students. This study used a Quasi-experimental approach with a one-shot case study design with quantitative research. Data collection was carried out using test instruments. The data processing technique is to use the ttest. The results showed that student learning outcomes in the material tangent to the inner and outer partnership of two circles of 8th grade State Junior HighSchool 14 Banda Aceh achieved student learning learning outcomes accordingto the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) set by State Junior High School14 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap pengembangan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher-Order Thinking Skills/HOTS) peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sains. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IA SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh, yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian mencakup tes HOTS yang telah divalidasi, lembar observasi, dan angket respons peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis data menggunakan uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi < 0,05. Selain itu, peserta didik memberikan respons positif terhadap penggunaan LKPD ini, terutama terkait dengan kemudahan pemahaman konsep, peningkatan keterlibatan aktif, dan motivasi belajar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sains. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan LKPD serupa untuk mendukung pembelajaran aktif dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sains.
