Abstract

This study analyzes the psychological resilience of marble artisans in Tulungagung in facing increasingly complex legal challenges and market competition. The local marble industry confronts complicated licensing and environmental regulations, low levels of legal literacy, and competitive pressure from imported products and shifting consumer preferences, all of which generate psychological burdens such as stress and anxiety for the artisans. The research employs a qualitative approach enriched with quantitative data, using in-depth interviews with 18 artisans, field observations in marble production centers, and a resilience questionnaire administered to 20 respondents with an instrument adapted from the 25-item Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. The results show an average resilience score of 72.8 (medium–high category), with optimism and persistence as the strongest dimensions, while stress regulation remains relatively weak, particularly in relation to legal and economic pressures. Thematic analysis reveals three main themes: the meaning of work as cultural heritage and social identity, legal uncertainty as a source of psychological stress, and community adaptation through mutual support and marketing innovation, including simple use of digital media. The findings also indicate a positive correlation between psychological resilience and market adaptation capacity, where artisans with higher resilience tend to be more innovative and more willing to experiment with new business strategies. The study concludes that resilience functions as important psychological capital for business sustainability, but its effectiveness is constrained by low legal awareness, thereby necessitating integrated interventions in the form of legal literacy empowerment and community-based resilience training for marble artisans in Tulungagung

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the role of Integrated Health Post (Posyandu ILP) cadres in child protection through legal psychology education in Srigonco Village, Malang Regency, Indonesia. Posyandu cadres serve as frontline community agents in monitoring child health and welfare; however, their understanding of children’s rights, legal protection, and psychological assistance for child abuse victims remains limited. This condition has contributed to the low level of early detection and reporting of child abuse cases at the village level. To address these challenges, this program implemented a series of educational interventions, including legal counseling on child protection laws, workshops on early detection and handling of child abuse cases, and training on psychological approaches for assisting child victims. The activities were conducted using participatory methods such as lectures, interactive discussions, case simulations, and role-playing. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated through pre-test and post-test assessments, observation, and participant feedback. The results indicate a significant improvement in cadres’ knowledge and skills regarding children’s rights, legal reporting mechanisms, and appropriate psychological assistance techniques. The cadres demonstrated increased confidence in identifying signs of abuse, providing initial support to victims, and coordinating with relevant authorities. Additionally, this program contributed to strengthening community awareness through educational campaigns involving local stakeholders. Overall, this community service initiative successfully enhanced the capacity of Posyandu cadres as agents of change in promoting child protection at the grassroots level. The program also reflects the synergy between academic institutions and local communities in creating a safer and more child-friendly social environment. The main output of this program is a scientific article targeted for publication in a nationally accredited journal.

Abstract

Social mapping is a crucial instrument in village development planning based on the real conditions of the community. This study aims to describe the results of social mapping as the basis for sustainable village development planning in Srigonco Village, Malang Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with 42 respondents consisting of village leaders and community members. Social mapping was conducted based on nine pillars, namely socio-cultural, socio-economic, education, health, law, community empowerment, entrepreneurship (MSMEs), women-children-disabilities, as well as environment and infrastructure. The findings indicate that Srigonco Village has considerable potential in the agricultural, livestock, fisheries, tourism, and MSME sectors; however, these potentials have not been optimally managed due to limited human resource capacity, weak village economic institutions, low legal awareness, and the suboptimal role of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes). In addition, disparities in access to education, limited empowerment of women and vulnerable groups, and the lack of integrated management of the environment and village infrastructure remain significant challenges. Based on the SWOT analysis, the main strengths of the village lie in community openness and strong support from the village government for change, while the major challenges include low economic welfare and limited community capacity. This social mapping serves as a foundational basis for formulating sustainable village development strategies oriented toward strengthening human resources, optimizing local potential, reinforcing MSMEs, and improving participatory-based village governance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between social support and self-confidence among university students within the context of social interactions in the higher education environment. Social support plays an important role in helping students adapt to academic and social demands, which in turn may influence their level of self-confidence. This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational design. The participants were university students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using social support and self-confidence questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis. The results showed a significant positive relationship between social support and self-confidence, indicating that higher levels of social support are associated with higher self-confidence among students. These findings suggest that social support from peers, family, and the academic environment contributes positively to the development of students’ self-confidence. Therefore, efforts to strengthen social support systems in higher education institutions are important to enhance students’ social and psychological well-being.

Abstract

Crime is an act that is contrary to applicable laws. In Indonesia, there are still many weaknesses in legal protection for people with mental disorders, the offenses used by public prosecutors still use the Criminal Code as in Article 285 including monitoring of legal resources. Until now, the means and efforts to provide legal protection for the status, rights, obligations, and roles of people with mental disorders have been carried out through various laws and regulations. The study discusses the rights of people with mental disorders and the Law in Indonesia and discusses the legal provisions in Law No. 18 of 2014. The type of research used is doctrinal (normative) research. It is explained that people with mental disorders are also protected by law to obtain care and a decent life according to their human dignity. The fulfillment of rights that are relatively running is the fulfillment of the right to medical assistance and rehabilitation carried out by the Witness and Victim Protection Agency. A number of fulfillments of victims' rights are also carried out on a limited basis by local governments. The restoration of victims' rights is based on the concept of a rights-based approach (human right-based approach). The human rights-based approach is a conceptual framework used for the process of human development. People with mental disorders who are victims of rape have the right to justice, that victims have the opportunity to seek justice. The perpetrators must be able to be prosecuted and brought to court and the victims must receive recovery and compensation.

Abstract

Unsecured credit schemes are widely implemented by sharia-based cooperatives to support members’ financial needs. However, the absence of collateral increases the risk of default and weakens the legal position of creditors. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection available to creditors and the mechanisms for resolving default in unsecured credit agreements within a sharia cooperative environment. The research employs an empirical legal method with a sociological-juridical approach. Data were collected through interviews with cooperative management and analysis of relevant documents, including internal policies and credit agreements. The findings reveal that creditor protection is primarily implemented through prudential principles, particularly the application of the 5C analysis (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition), although the collateral element is not physically applied. Legal protection is further strengthened through written agreements, salary-deduction mechanisms, internal mediation, and persuasive settlement approaches. When non-litigation efforts fail, legal action remains an available option based on general civil law provisions. This study concludes that despite the absence of collateral, creditors can obtain adequate legal protection through preventive and repressive legal measures, provided that contractual clauses are formulated clearly and prudential principles are consistently enforced. Strengthening contractual arrangements is essential to ensuring legal certainty and minimizing financial risks for sharia cooperatives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze legal pluralism in inheritance distribution within Indonesian society through a socio-humanities approach. Indonesia, as a country with diverse cultures and legal systems, recognizes legal pluralism consisting of customary law, Islamic law, and Western civil law. This diversity creates dynamic and varied practices in inheritance distribution that are not always uniform. The research employs a qualitative method with a socio-legal approach, using literature review and analysis of existing social practices. The findings reveal that legal pluralism provides flexibility for communities in choosing the legal system applied in inheritance distribution. However, this condition also has the potential to generate conflicts, particularly when there are differences in interests among parties or misunderstandings of applicable legal norms. Furthermore, social, cultural, and religious factors significantly influence the selection of legal systems within society. Therefore, legal harmonization and contextual approaches are necessary to minimize conflicts and achieve substantive justice in inheritance distribution in Indonesia.

Abstract

Standard form contracts are widely used in business activities due to their efficiency and practicality. However, their unilateral nature often places one party, particularly consumers, in a weaker bargaining position. This condition raises concerns regarding the application of the principle of balance between the parties as a fundamental principle in civil law. This study aims to analyze the application of the principle of balance in standard form contracts under civil law and to examine the extent to which existing legal regulations provide protection for the weaker party. This research employs a normative juridical method by analyzing statutory regulations, legal doctrines, and relevant legal principles, particularly those contained in the Civil Code and consumer protection laws. The results of the study indicate that although the principle of balance is recognized in civil law, its implementation in standard form contracts has not been fully realized, as many contractual clauses tend to favor business actors. Therefore, stronger legal safeguards and stricter supervision are required to ensure fairness and balance between the parties in standard form contracts.
