Abstract

Production of catches on hand line-fishing gear at Kutaraja Ocean Fishing Port has decreased, this is clearly seen from the level of fish production produced, which was 2.407.580 tons in 2018 compared to production in 2019, which was 2,285,750 tons. The fishing business, which has become one of the livelihoods of the Indonesian people, is a little riskier compared to other businesses because the fish which are the main target of this business is always moving dynamically. The research objectives were to determine productivity per GT, Trip, and ABK on hand line-fishing gear and to determine the financial feasibility analysis of fishing effort on hand line-fishing gear at Kutaraja Ocean Fishing Port. The benefits of this research are to increase knowledge and insight regarding productivity and financial analysis of the fishing line effort. The method used in this study is a survey method. The data analysis method used in this research is a descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the value of productivity per trip with large-size ships has a high amount of production compared to smaller ship sizes. This is because a larger ship has a carrying capacity or more carrying capacity. Hand line fishing with a vessel size > 30 GT has a relatively long payback period, i.e. < 5 years. While ships with a size of 5 GT. 6 GTs. 9 GTs. 22 GTs. and 24 GT have a payback period of < 3 years. This is because a larger ship has a carrying capacity or more carrying capacity. Abstract

The longline fishing gear in the Bangsal Aceh District is a secondary fishing gear from the pengerih fishing gear, the Bangsal Aceh anglers use the longline fishing gear when they are free or when anglers only want to use it. This study aims to determine the construction of longline fishing gear and determine the basic composition of longline catches using bait that is often used. The research method used is a survey method. The data collected starts from supplies, ship condition, condition of fishing gear, data on fish species, fish weight, and the number of individual fish, which are then analyzed by calculating the effort of the hook rate, and the catches obtained. Then analyzed descriptively by defining the main catch and bycatch. From the results of the research conducted for two weeks, the catch consisted of three types, namely giant catfish, sagor, and stingrays. Stingrays were the heaviest fish weighing 57.8 kg (80.38%), followed by giant catfish with 13.6 kg (18.9152%), and sagor with 0.5 kg (0.69541%). Meanwhile, according to individuals, the most commonly found fish were 11 giant catfish (64.7%), followed by 5 stingrays (29.4118%), and 1 sagor (5.88235%). Meanwhile, according to individuals, the most commonly found fish were 11 giant catfish (64.7%), followed by 5 stingrays (29.4118%), and 1 sagor (5.88235%). Abstract

This research was conducted in March 2022 at Kutaraja Ocean Fishing Port, Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province. The purpose of the study was to determine what factors determine the amount of ice carried for fishing operations on purse seine fishing gear, and how the relationship between these factors and the amount of ice carried. The method used in this research is the survey method. The data collected were statistically analyzed using the normality test, multicollinearity, ANOVA, Multiple linear regression, and T-Test. The results showed that the size of the ship (X1), the length of the trip (X2), and the amount of catch (X3) affect the amount of ice carried (Y) by purse seine vessels in the form of multiple regression equation Y = 2403.052 - 100.725 X1 + 294.378 X2 + 1.686 X3. The value of the determinant coefficient obtained is 59.4%.

Abstract

This research was carried out in November 2022 in Merbau District, Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province, to determine the sustainability status of the belat fishing gear based on ecological, social and technological aspects. The method used in this research is a survey method, while purposive sampling is used to determine respondents. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation directly with two academics from the UNRI Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, two people from the Meranti Regency Fisheries Service, four capture fisheries entrepreneurs (traders and collectors), two fishermen group leaders, and ten fishermen. The research results show a decrease in the number of belat fishing gear every year; in 2020, the number of belat fishing gear was 65 units, and in 2022, the number of belat fishing gear was nine units. Belat fishing gear is not selective, as seen from the leverage analysis that has been carried out with a sensitivity attribute value of 40.53. Belat can catch small fish that are not yet suitable for catching. The sustainability status of belat fishing gear is seen through the attribute values of three dimensions. The sustainability index value for the ecological dimension of the belat fishing gear is 51.11, meaning it is pretty sustainable. The sustainability index value of the technological dimension in fishing using belat fishing gear is 40.53, which is classified as less sustainable. The index value of the social dimension in fishing using the belat fishing gear is 59.99, meaning it is in the reasonably sustainable category.

Abstract

This research was conducted from November to December 2020 using the survey method. The aim of this research is to find out what factors affect the efficiency level of loading time for lift net boats on Bungus Fishing Port. From the results of observations of 20 sample Boats that carried out fishing supplies filling activities, it showed that the amount of fuel, ice, water, the number of crew members, and the boat tonnage affected the length of time wasted which resulted in the high and low level of efficiency of filling fishing supplies at sea. The results showed that the average efficiency level of filling fishing supplies on a boat at PPS Bungus was 67,18% or less efficient. The results also showed that the greatest length of time wasted was waiting for the arrival of ice (39.68%) followed by waiting for refueling time (36.03%), drinking time (14.71%), and smoking (9.58%).

Abstract

Bubu is a passive fishing tool that works by trapping. Over time, a modification known as the bubu payung emerged, which is easy to obtain at an affordable price. This research was conducted in November 2023 over ten days in the waters of the Parit 18 River in Sapat Village, Kuala Indragiri District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The method used in this research was experimental fishing, employing three types of bait: malong, coconut cake, and coconut pulp. Data analysis was performed using the t-test with SPSS 27.0.1. The results showed no significant difference in the catch of malong bait, coconut cake, or coconut dregs. According to the calculations, bait comparison A t-value (malong bait and coconut cake) (0,294) < t-table (2,306), bait comparison B (malong bait and coconut dregs) t-value (0,385) <t-table (2,306), and bait comparison C (coconut cake bait and coconut dregs bait) t-value (0,081) <t-table (2,306). Therefore, bubu payung can effectively catch mangrove crabs and bycatch.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the catch of Sondong as the main information in managing fishing, the availability of data and information about the productivity of Sondong fishing gear fisheries in Selat Akar Village and with the management in the utilization of fish resources, the sustainability of Sondong fishing business can be maintained. The research method used in this research is a survey method used to obtain the necessary data directly from the research site. The results showed that the production of Sondong ship fluctuated. The results showed that the production of Sondong ship fluctuated. So that the annual production value of Sondong ship for 5 years also fluctuates. The productivity value of Sondong ships varies where the highest values in 2017 and 2019 show that the period was a good year in producing fishing using these fishing gear. The low productivity in 2018 was due to temporary weather anomalies, where weather conditions worsened which affected the success of the capture process. and the lowest was in 2020. And the results of the Trend of Sondong fishing gear production show that there is a high correlation that indicates that produce results in the next 3 years will increase and show that the initial production value of sondong fishing gear is relatively high.
