Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini (1) mengembangan media pembelajaran yang interaktif pada Kosmetika dan Minuman Tradisional Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias, (2) untuk mengetahui kelayakan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang interaktif pada Kosmetika Dan Minuman Tradisional Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias. Metode penelitian adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang mengikuti langkah-langkah model penelitian pengembangan   ADDIE. Subjek dari penelitian yaitu mahasiswa Angkatan 2021 Pendidikan tata rias Angkatan Universitas Negeri Medan. Data berasal dari kegiatan observasi, wawancara serta penyebaran angket. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas ahli materi diperoleh 91,6% (berkategori sangat baik), penilaian ahli media 97,7% (berkategori sangat baik),  Berdasarkan atas nilai yang diberikan ahli materi 94,49% di kategori yang sangat baik. Produk di uji coba pada kelompok kecil memperoleh nilai 88,6% (berkategori baik), pada kelompok sedang memperoleh nilai 89,2% (berkategori sangat baik), dan pengujian kelompok besar memperoleh nilai 92,1% (berkategori sangatbaik). Berdasarkan hasil penilaian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa media interaktif Kosmetika dan Minuman Tradisional dinyatakan layak untuk membantu dalam berlangsungnya proses belajar. Kata Kunci: Media Interaktif, Kosmetika Tradisional, Minuman Tradisional, Tata Rias   Abstract: The aims of this research (1) developing interactive learning media on Cosmetics and Traditional Drinks, Cosmetology Education Study Program, (2) Determine the feasibility of using interactive learning media on Cosmetics and Traditional Drinks, Study Program of Cosmetology Education. The research method is Research and Development (R&D) which follows the steps of the ADDIE research and development model. The subjects of research are students of 2021 Cosmetology Education of Medan State University. Data comes from observation activities, interviews and distribution of questionnaires. Based on the results of the material expert's validity test, it was found to be 91.6% (category of very good), media expert's assessment was 97.7% (category of very good), Based on the results of the blended learning material expert's assessment, it was 94.49% (category of very good). The product tested in the small group received a score of 88.6% (good category), the medium group got a score of 89.2% (very good category), and the large testing group got a score of 92.1% (category of very good),). The results of this assessment, it was concluded that the interactive media Cosmetics and Traditional Drinks were declared suitable for assisting in the learning process.Keywords: Interactive Media, Traditional Cosmetics, Traditional Drinks, Cosmetology

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems found in the field that students had difficulty in writing explanatory texts, besides that the problems began due to students' lack of interest in writing and the use of inappropriate learning strategies. The study aims to (1) Describe the application of critical incident learning strategies to the ability to write explanatory texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek, (2) Describe student learning outcomes in the application of critical incident learning strategies to the ability to write explanatory texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek. The author uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods and nonequivalent control group design. The correlation between the research design and the objectives of this study is the use of two classes that will be compared before and after receiving treatment. Research processing using SPSS software version 26. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek by taking two classes as samples, namely classes 7G and 7J, each consisting of 40 students. The study sample was taken by purposive sampling. There are three stages in this study, namely pretest, treatment or treatment and posttest. Pretest is conducted to determine the initial ability of students in writing explanatory texts before getting treatment. After being given a pretest, researchers gave treatment using critical incident strategies for experimental classes, while control classes used conventional strategies. The next step is to give a posttest to students to see the influence of the strategy used. Based on the results of the study, it was stated that the average score of the experimental class pretest and posttest scores were 44.9 and 78.4 and it showed that the posttest and pretest scores had a difference of 33.5. While the average score of the control class pretest and posttest scores of 43.1 and 61.3 shows that the two scores have a difference in value of 18.3. This shows that the experimental class is higher than the control class. Furthermore, the results of the hypothesis test with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted and the hypothesis test of N-gain value with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, the conclusion is that there is an influence of critical incident learning strategies in the ability to write explanatory texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikampek.

Abstract

The 21st century learning paradigm emphasizes the development of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to prepare learners with essential competencies such as critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and creativity. This study developed HOTS-based learning materials for the Makeup Room Decoration course using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with a Case Method (CM) and the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with a Team-Based Project (TBP) approach. The research employed Thiagarajan’s 4-D model, consisting of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The developed products included a Semester Learning Plan (RPS), an e-book with video tutorials, and a HOTS test instrument. The research trials were conducted in three stages-expert validation, limited trials, and field trials-involving experts, lecturers, and students. Data were collected using observation sheets, validation forms, assessment questionnaires, and tests. The results indicated that the developed learning materials met the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The RPS was categorized as highly valid (Aiken’s V = 0.8375), the e-book as moderately valid (V = 0.723 by learning design experts and V = 0.823 by media experts), and the HOTS test instrument as highly valid (V = 0.937). The limited trials showed that the materials were very practical, while field trials demonstrated effectiveness with an average student achievement rate of 81.7%. These findings confirm that the developed learning materials are feasible and effective in enhancing students’ higher-order thinking skills in the Makeup Room Decoration course of the Beauty Education Program at the State University of Medan.

Abstract

Quality assurance is a series of related processes and systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on the performance and quality of educators and education personnel, programs and institutions. The quality assurance process identifies aspects of achievement and priority for improvement, provides data as a basis for planning and decision making and helps build a culture of continuous improvement.This study aims to describe the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) as an effort to improve the quality of education in the PKK Department, Faculty of Engineering, Unimed. This study is a qualitative research with case study method. The research was conducted at the Department of Family Welfare Education (PKK) Faculty of Engineering, Unimed, with the subject of the Department of Quality Assurance Team (TPMJ PKK). Data collection techniques: direct observation, document and archive searches, and interviews. The results showed: (1) TPMJ policies and concepts in the form of academic documents and quality documents were prepared by TPMJ PKK; (2) TPMJ PKK as coordinator in planning and implementing learning in the PKK Department; (3) The implementation of the TPMJ is carried out by preparing a design in the form of the TPMJ PKK Cycle; (4) Obstacles faced: leadership commitment, number of auditors, TPMJ PKK activities become routine; (5) Steps to be taken: providing quality assurance experts, building a spirit of quality assurance; (6) Evaluation of TPMJ PKK Implementation is carried out every year; (7) Utilization of the results of TPMJ PKK implementation: building a culture of quality, accreditation; and (8) Development of TPMJ PKK implementation refers to the standard management of BAN PT.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a learning tool for international bridal make-up based on Hybrid Learning by utilizing the SIPDA Unimed Learning Management System. learning tools in the form of Semester Learning Plans, Bridal Make Up E-books with ISBN, International Bridal Make Up Learning Videos. The development model used is the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 (five) steps including: Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluate. Data collection was carried out through tests of experts (experts) including tests of media experts, design experts and material experts. After evaluation from the experts, it was continued with trials on respondents, namely cosmetology education study program students through individual tests (one to one), small group tests (Small Group) and Field Tests (field tests). The results of the study show that the learning tools developed for international bridal makeup learning are appropriate for use in learning at the Medan State University cosmetology education program. This is shown from the results of data processing (tcount=3.285) at a significance level ɔ = 0.05 with dk 56 obtained (ttable = 1.67), then (tcount > ttable), the effectiveness of using learning tools in an effort to improve learning outcomes is 80 .46%. The results of the study from groups of students who studied using learning tools were 71.72%. From these data it proves that the use of learning tools through the UNIMED SIPDA learning management system is more effective in improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

Fantasy hair styling in vocational cosmetology is commonly treated as a tacit craft activity, leaving limited evidence that material and geometry choices lead to ergonomic and stable designs. This study aimed to develop and validate craft-based support frames for fantasy buns while making materials-science and basic biomechanics concepts explicit. Using a 4D Research and Development model (Define–Design–Develop–Disseminate), undergraduate cosmetology students produced three frame variants (foam, thin wire, and polymer mesh). Product quality was evaluated by three cosmetology/beauty-education experts using a 1–5 Likert rubric covering aesthetics (neatness, proportion, creativity, harmony) and ergonomics (comfort, lightweight, ease of application/removal, positional stability). Three models conducted short wear-and-movement trials (standing, walking, head turns). Quantitative scores were converted to percentages and categorized; expert comments were analyzed thematically. Aesthetic performance averaged 87% (Very Good: neatness 90%, proportion 85%, creativity 88%, harmony 85%). Ergonomic performance averaged 83% (Very Good: comfort 85%, lightweight 82%, ease 80% [Good], stability 85%), with frame weights ranging from ~500 to 2,000 g. These results indicate that craft-based frames can produce visually coherent and ergonomically acceptable fantasy buns while supporting concept-based reasoning; future work should strengthen durability and application techniques and extend trials to longer wear durations.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran rias wajah khusus materi rias wajah geriatri yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang variatif dan interaktif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan media pembelajaran inovatif yang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Microsoft Sway terhadap hasil belajar rias wajah khusus siswa kelas XI SMK Swasta Pariwisata Imelda Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Hasil belajar rias wajah khusus siswa kelas XI SMK Swasta Pariwisata Imelda Medan yang menggunakan Microsoft Sway, 2) Hasil belajar rias wajah khusus siswa kelas XI SMK Swasta Pariwisata Imelda Medan yang menggunakan power poin, 3) Pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Microsoft Sway terhadap hasil belajar rias wajah khusus siswa kelas XI SMK Swasta Pariwisata Imelda Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Jurusan Tata Kecantikan Kulit dan Rambut SMK Swasta Pariwisata Imelda Medan Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Kecantikan 1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen (menggunakan Media belajar microsoft sway ) dan XI Kecantikan 2 sebagai kelompok kontrol (menggunakan media powerpoint) yang berjumlah 60 orang siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan sampel total sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media belajar microsoft sway  terhadap hasil belajar Rias geriatri Pada Siswa Kelas XI di SMK Swasta Pariwisata Imelda Medan dari segi hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar di kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil Ujityaitu: Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh harga t hitung = 15,41. Pada taraf signifikan (α = 0,05) dan dk = n1 + n2 – 2 = 58, dengan demikian jika dibandingkan dengan ttabel ternyata thitung  ttabel yaitu (15,411,67). Maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media belajar microsoft sway  terhadap hasil belajar pada elemen rias wajah khsusus materi rias wajah geriatri siswa kelas XI Tata Kecantikan SMK Swasta Pariwisata Imelda Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hasil analisis praktik rias wajah fantasi tema fauna pada siswa kelas XII Tata Kecantikan SMK Swasta PEMDA. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar pengamatan hasil praktik rias wajah fantasi bertema fauna. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui lembar pengamatan tersebut untuk memperoleh gambaran objektif mengenai hasil praktik siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian analisis hasil praktik rias wajah fantasi tema fauna pada siswa tata kecantikan SMKS PEMDA, diperoleh rata-rata skor siswa sebesar 72, dengan skor tertinggi 79 dan skor terendah 67. Dari 30 orang sampel penelitian, diketahui bahwa 3 siswa (10%) berada pada kategori sangat baik, 4 siswa (13%) pada kategori baik, 13 siswa (43%) pada kategori cukup baik, dan 10 siswa (33%) pada kategori kurang baik. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa intensitas hasil praktik rias wajah fantasi bertema fauna dengan karakter Deer Girl termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik.
