Abstract

Sistem listrik yang disediakan oleh PT. PLN (Persero) memainkan peran krusial dalam memenuhi kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia. Dengan pertumbuhan pesat permintaan energi, terutama dalam sektor industri, komersial, dan rumah tangga, tekanan semakin besar pada jaringan distribusi listrik untuk menjaga keandalan pasokan daya. Salah satu tantangan utama adalah rugi-rugi daya dalam jaringan distribusi 20 kV, yang mengakibatkan kerugian finansial yang signifikan bagi PT. PLN (Persero) dan memengaruhi kualitas layanan kepada pelanggan. Penelitian ini mengusulkan penggunaan metode Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) untuk merancang ulang konfigurasi jaringan distribusi 20 kV dengan tujuan mengurangi rugi-rugi daya. Rekonfigurasi jaringan dilakukan dengan mengubah status kabel penghubung antar trafo distribusi, tetapi mempertahankan struktur jaringan radial dan memperhatikan batasan operasi. Metode BPSO mengoptimalkan topologi jaringan dengan meminimalkan kehilangan daya nyata. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Krueng Geukueh dengan menggunakan simulasi software Electrical Transient Analizer Program (ETAP) versi 19.0.1 dan Matlab 2018b. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rekonfigurasi berhasil mengurangi rugi daya nyata secara signifikan, dengan penurunan dari 19.732 menjadi 19.4 kW.

Abstract

Kebudayaan Aceh memiliki keunikan yang khas sesuai dengan daerah masing-masing. Cerita rakyat menjadi salah satu keunikan budaya yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Aceh. Cerita rakyat merupakan karya sastra misalnya dongeng, mite dan lagenda yang ada di daerah tertentu yang menjadi ciri khas suatu masyarakat daerah tersebut, yang disebarluaskan melalui mulut ke mulut atau secara lisan serta menggunakan bahasa daerah masing-masing asal cerita tersebut. Melalui ajang Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) mahasiswa membuat sebuah program kreatif dan inovatif untuk melestarikan cerita rakyat yaitu program candu diksi (cerita daerahku berbasis augmented reality 3D). Program candu diksi bertujuan untuk mengembalikan eksistensi cerita rakyat di kalangan remaja, memberikan dampak positif terhadap angka literasi moral dan perubahan perilaku di kalangan remaja Nisam, mitra mampu menjadi agen perubahan terkait upaya pelestarian budaya cerita rakyat di Aceh. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diselenggarakan secara offline dengan melibatkan beberapa guru dan tim PKM–PM yang terlibat dalam program Candu Diksi (Cerita Daerahku Berbasis Augmented Reality 3D). Acara ini dilakukan di ruang guru MtS Nisam, acara ini dihadiri oleh 20 guru yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah MTs Nisam, staff dan para guru. Materi yang disampaikan oleh pemateri yaitu ketua tim PKM mencakup beberapa topik, seperti urgensi yang didapatkan dari masalah mitra, alasan memilih mitra MTs Nisam, tujuan pelaksanaan program, dampak yang dirasakan mitra, tahapan pelaksanaan program serta terkait bantuan pendanaan dari Dikti Belwama.

Abstract

Natural disasters such as floods can cause many losses to humans, such as material losses, trauma for the victims, and loss of life. Floods that occur can be caused by various factors such as human activity itself which results in changes in natural spatial planning, so the arrival of floods is also difficult to detect with certainty. Based on this, it is necessary to develop a technological innovation that helps provide a warning of the arrival of a natural disaster. The ESP32 microcontroller is one of the technologies that can be used to create an early warning system for the arrival of floods. The design and manufacture of this technology certainly involves modeling, algorithm planning, assembly of the components of the tools used, including wiring and mechanics as needed. This tool uses an internet of things (IoT) system with the help of an ESP32 microcontroller that supports integration via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so that it can be connected to a smartphone device as a notification receiver in real time and accurately by notifying the water level which will be an indicator of potential flooding, so that people are more alert in the face of flooding to prevent and minimize the losses that will be experienced.

Abstract

This study presents the design and simulation of an on-grid photovoltaic (PV) solar power system for the training room at PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PT. PIM), located in North Aceh, Indonesia. As part of Indonesia’s renewable energy goals, this research explores the potential of rooftop solar installations in supporting the country's energy transition. Using the PVSyst simulation software, the study assesses the technical and economic feasibility of deploying a solar power system tailored to the building’s electricity demands and solar radiation characteristics. The design incorporates monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels, and system configurations are optimized based on factors such as panel capacity, inverter specifications, and site-specific conditions. The results indicate that a 2 kWp system can generate up to 2.91 MWh annually, with a performance ratio (PR) of 81.15%, demonstrating the system’s feasibility for sustainable energy use. The findings contribute to understanding the practical applications of rooftop solar power in educational and industrial sectors, providing insights into the potential for broader adoption across similar contexts in Indonesia.

Abstract

Electrical energy is something that everyone needs. The increase in the use of electrical energy will increase the transmission and distribution system of electrical energy, so the electrical energy distribution system must be more reliable. Adding Distributed Generation (DG) to the distribution system can improve reliability and power quality issues. To overcome the influence of DG, a new optimization setting is needed to account for the presence of Distributed Generation. This study aims to simulate a protection system with the right relay operation time to minimize the impact of interference and apply the Genetic Algorithm method in the relay coordination setting on a multi-loop distribution network with Distributed Generation. In this study, the development will be carried out using the IEEE 9-Bus multiloop plant distribution system with the application of Distributed Generation using a Genetic Algorithm. The method in this study begins with creating a single-line diagram on ETAP, followed by the placement and determination of forward and reverse relays. Furthermore, the steps include dividing and determining loops I, II, and III for the Isc generation value in each loop. The optimization process using the Genetic Algorithm can be carried out after the Isc value of each loop is obtained. After reaching the maximum iteration value, the TDS and Ipickup values result from optimization. The value is then converted into a time domain. The genetic algorithm results with a maximum iteration value of 1500 show that the protection system coordinates more optimally and efficiently, as reviewed from the cut-off sequence and time delay value in the event of a disturbance. The total time delay value in the Genetic Algorithm calculation is 3.6027 seconds. The minimum total time delay value is the more optimal the protection system coordinates.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan teknis dan manajerial kepada siswa dan guru Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Kota Lhokseumawe dalam mempersiapkan partisipasi mereka di ajang Madrasah Robot Competition (MRC). Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam penyusunan proposal yang sesuai dengan standar kompetisi, serta kurangnya keterampilan teknis dalam pengembangan robot yang kompetitif di tingkat nasional. Untuk itu, program ini dirancang untuk memberikan bimbingan secara komprehensif mulai dari pelatihan penyusunan proposal, pemahaman dasar robotika, perancangan dan pemrograman robot, hingga pengujian kinerja robot. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan penyusunan proposal, workshop teknis perancangan robot, dan simulasi uji coba robot. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan siswa dan guru dalam menyusun proposal yang lebih inovatif dan terstruktur, serta merancang robot yang sesuai dengan spesifikasi kompetisi. Selain itu, program ini juga berhasil memperkuat kapasitas guru dalam mendampingi siswa, sehingga mereka dapat berperan sebagai mentor yang efektif dalam pengembangan proyek-proyek robotika di masa depan. Tindak lanjut yang dirancang dari program ini mencakup pembentukan tim robotika sekolah yang berkelanjutan, pengembangan kerjasama dengan universitas dan komunitas robotika, serta peningkatan fasilitas sekolah seperti pengadaan laboratorium robotika. Selain itu, siswa juga didorong untuk mengembangkan proyek-proyek robotika berbasis solusi permasalahan lokal, yang dapat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat sekitar. Dengan adanya tindak lanjut ini, diharapkan MAN Kota Lhokseumawe dapat terus mengembangkan program robotika secara mandiri dan mampu bersaing di berbagai kompetisi robotika di masa mendatang, sekaligus memperkuat kualitas pendidikan berbasis teknologi di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Chickens are a type of poultry that reproduce by laying eggs. The increasing demand for chicken meat makes it difficult for farmers to meet consumer demand. Therefore, along with technological developments, a tool for hatching chicken eggs that can work automatically to facilitate hatching is needed. To meet these needs in solving the problem of designing an automatic egg incubator system and the performance of the egg incubator that can be monitored via smartphone, which aims to produce an egg incubator that can be monitored and monitored in real time. The prototype of this tool was built using ESP32 as a processor, one type of sensor as an input device, a fan, a gearbox motor and the blynk application as output devices. The sensor used is a DHT11 sensor that can detect temperature and humidity in the egg incubator box, this tool is also equipped with internet of things as a data output that can be monitored via smartphone. Testing was carried out on free-range chicken eggs with a device capacity of 35 eggs. From the test results, it was obtained that the egg incubator can work well. The number of eggs used for the experiment was 35 eggs. This egg incubator has a 91% success rate, with a 9% failure rate, based on 32 chicken eggs hatching. Therefore, this incubator is suitable for both large and small-scale hatching.

Abstract

Perpustakaan desa memiliki peran strategis sebagai pusat literasi berbasis masyarakat yang mendukung peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui penyediaan akses informasi, pembelajaran, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Namun, pengelolaan perpustakaan desa masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan kompetensi pengelola, administrasi yang belum tertata, pengelolaan koleksi yang belum optimal, serta minimnya program literasi yang melibatkan masyarakat. Kondisi tersebut juga ditemukan pada Perpustakaan Desa Blangpulo, Kota Lhokseumawe. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pengelola perpustakaan melalui program pendampingan pengelolaan perpustakaan komunitas sebagai pusat literasi berbasis masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan observasi, koordinasi, penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Materi yang diberikan meliputi tata kelola perpustakaan, administrasi perpustakaan, pengelolaan koleksi, pelayanan perpustakaan, serta penyusunan program literasi berbasis masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan, terutama pada aspek administrasi, pengelolaan koleksi, serta penyusunan program literasi yang berkelanjutan. Pendampingan juga menghasilkan rencana tindak lanjut berupa penyempurnaan administrasi perpustakaan, penataan koleksi, serta pengembangan program literasi yang melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan berbasis partisipatif mampu memperkuat kapasitas pengelola perpustakaan sekaligus mendukung optimalisasi fungsi perpustakaan desa sebagai pusat literasi, pembelajaran, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Program serupa perlu dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan melalui kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi, pemerintah desa, dan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan perpustakaan serta memperkuat budaya literasi di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

Advances in technology have driven the need for efficient water management systems. This study presents a SCADA-based water management system that integrates LabVIEW and Arduino to monitor and regulate water levels and flow rates in a storage tank. The system uses an HC-SRF04 ultrasonic sensor for water level measurement with 99.77% accuracy and an HX710 pressure sensor, which achieves 98.54% accuracy. The LabVIEW interface displays real-time data, giving users an intuitive view of system performance. A proportional integral derivative (PID) algorithm optimizes the water pump through pulse width modulation (PWM), achieving water flow rate control. The Ziegler-Nichols method tunes the PID parameters to Kp = 16.59, Ti = 1.102, and Td = 0.2755. This tuning ensures the system maintains a consistent target flow rate of 4 liters per minute (L/min) with minimal variation. Initial testing showed a 2.5% overshoot but stabilized at the desired flow rate within 10 seconds, indicating effective control. This SCADA system reduces water and energy waste by enabling continuous real-time monitoring and control. The system provides accurate data through a LabVIEW interface, ensuring effective and informed operational decisions. This robust solution supports efficient water management for industrial and environmental applications, contributing to sustainability and resource optimization.

Abstract

Developments in light sensor technology have made it possible to achieve better measurement accuracy. The GY1750BH sensor, for example, is known for its ability to detect changes in light with high sensitivity. While this sensor has many advantages, the accuracy of the results depends highly on the calibration method. Without proper calibration, measurement data can suffer from biases detrimental to the applications that rely on it. Linear regression methods can extract the mathematical relationship between the sensor output and light intensity in light sensors. In light sensor calibration, linear regression helps determine the relationship between the sensor-generated signal (e.g., voltage or current) and the measured light intensity. Thus, we can mathematically map the sensor's response to changes in light intensity, which is used for measurement correction to get closer to the actual value. Implementing linear regression in the GY1750BH sensor is expected to contribute significantly to improving the measurement accuracy of this sensor. By modeling the sensor's response to the actual light intensity, the data generated is expected to be more consistent and accurate so that it can be used in applications that require high accuracy. The results of this study are light intensity measurement with the application of linear regression on the GY 1750 BH sensor, which is more stable, and the resulting comparison is close to the measurement results using measuring instruments. The error produced before using linear regression is 1.2%, and when using linear regression on the GY 1750 BH sensor, it becomes 0.54%.
