Abstract

Changing the logo mean change the image and that's an opportunity to review the management for improve the company's image in the eyes of the competitors. Where the AJB Bumiputera1912 this has lot of rivals such as Life Insurance, Foreign-Owned Insurance And other private owned also, in order to bring a fresh impression and is not oldies so, AJB Bumiputera parties to replace the old logo as a Form of Coorporate Identity. The Objective knows signs meaning, objects, intepretant of Life Insurance logo with Bumiputera 1912.The Research using qualitative research methods and backed with analysis theory of semiotics of Charles Sanders Pierce. The subject research is determined by purposive sampling technique which consists differences and divisions of public relations division commuication Part Of AJB Bumiputera 1912. The data collection techniques include interviews, observation, documentation and analysis framework. The analaysis used the tachniques based analysis of researchers (the argument researchers) wich is based on concepts and a theories that are relevant. Data analysis technique used is the analysis of semiology The Charles Sanders Peirce with triadic model, where signs, objects and Interpretations have meet each other relationships and excess with strength checks the validity of data is done using triangulation techniques.The Results of research is indicates From logo 1912 is overall from all signs the elements in hearts the basic foundation logo 1912 What has meaning symbolizes power, dignity and strength, object of logo life insurance with Bumiputera 1912. A sign of the minds of thought of record logo for the review creates logos a new and interpretan from logo life insurance with Bumiputera 1912 are from purport of everything process of achieving the sense of delivered by a shape signs, and the elements contained in this logo is a logo that is intrepretation life insurance along with Bumiputra 1912. Abstract

Foreign tourists who come to the Country or any other city in need of a tour guide as a compass in a traveling tour. The existence of a very large tour guide in the introduction of a regional attraction like Bukittinggi. Given the differences in languages and cultural backgrounds differ, a tour guide must pay attention to how to communicate with foreign tourists so that effective communication. This study aims to determine the behavior of verbal communication and non-verbal communication freelance guide in introducing the attractions of Bukittinggi.This study uses a qualitative research approach symbolic interaction. Informants in this study were as many as seven people consisting of four freelance guide and three tourists who visit the city of Bukittinggi selected by using purposive. The collection of data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. Technical analysis of the data in this study using interactive data model with data validity checking is done using the extension of participation and triangulation techniques.The results of this study indicate that the behavior of verbal communication with foreign tourists freelance guide includes vocabulary words using American English which will make communication more effective. Speed of communication that will influence on receipt of the message can be understood whether or vice versa. The emphasis or tone of voice used in explanations related to regional languages. While the humor is not boring interlude in communication, as well as a clear concise language used for communication is not wordy and attention to the time in conversation. Abstract

Employees is one part of the internal public company that is a key element in achieving the goal. During this time many companies that focus on the relationship with outsiders, but ignore the relationship with its employees. Employee relations is a form of cooperation between all parties in the company. If the employee relations goes well, then the enthusiasm and motivation will increase. One company that realizes the importance of this is Pingu's English School Pekanbaru. Some of the activities undertaken to establish a good relationship is another gymnastics on Wednesday morning, lunch on Friday, as well as a cinema if the films box office. This study bertujan to find out more about employee relations program that run Pingus English School in motivating employees.This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The results of the research associated with the theory of S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-reponse). Stimulus in penelilitian is a program of employee relations, acceptance by employees, then cause a response in the form of motivation. As for the informant is the Board Of Directors, Public Relations, Customer Cervice Coord, Customer Cervice, Teacher Coordinator, Full-time teacher and Operational Coord. Data collected by interview. The results of the interview, then analyzed using a model of interactive data analysis Miles and Huberman. The results of the analysis of its validity is checked using the technique of extension of participation, which confirms the parties are considered competent, as well as with triangulation techniques, comparing observations with interviews.The results showed that Pingu's English School run fourth employee relations program. Employee communication program in the form of appraisal activities, regular meetings, training, cultural openness, and special activities to establish kinship. Appraisal or award programs into activities that are most motivating to employees. Program employee attitude surveys carried out by the performance assessment activities formally and informally. Both are equally build motivation, because employees feel watched so always act according to the standard of performance. Employee counseling program consists of consultancy service activities, brainstorming, coaching, and visit sick employees. Coaching be the most motivating activity, because employees feel the company gives attention to improving the skills and Performance. Profit sharing consists of salary, bonus, vacation, recreation and career. It is very motivating is wages and bonuses, for the purpose of working is earning

Abstract

Nowadays dessert cafe has been a trend and also a life style of Pekanbaru society. It can be seen from the rising of many dessert caffe and accompanied by many people who spend most of their times there. L’Cheese Factory is the first local brand dessert café in Pekanbaru. Started out as kind of Small Medium Enterprises (UKM) and then keep evolve until be a corporate just like today. L’Cheese Factory got an award on UMKM award 2013 as a Inspiring Local Brand, and in 2015 got an award too as Marketeers of the year. This research aims to find out and describe about marketing public relations activity on L’Cheese Factory to actualize the best local brand in Pekanbaru.This research using qualitative research method with descriptive approach and supported with S-O-R as grounded theory, meanwhile research’s focus referred to marketing public relations concept. The subject of this research was choosing by purposive sampling technique who consists of owner, general manager, brand manager, 2 employees and 4 loyal customers of L’Cheese Factory. Data was collected through interview, observation and documentation, Data was analyst using Interactive model of Miles & Huberman. To achieve the validity of the data in this study, researcher used the triangulation technique.The results showed publication activity of L’cheese Factory commonly affiliated with publication about the held of an event. Media that used on publication activity are online media as the main media and supported by the other internal media. While the publicity activity including publicity on television, radio, and newspaper. Furthermore event consists of Sketch Walk Competition, Garnish Class, Internship Program, and Cat Rescue. Community involvement is actualized with giving support to Ikatan Bujang Dara Kota Pekanbaru community and humanitarian aid community. Inform or image is actualized with notice the quality of product, increasing service, inform company’s achievement and making merchandise. Next lobby and negotiation activity aims to some companies such Riau Kepri Bank, Mandiri Prioritas Bank, Garuda Indonesia and Awal Bros Pekanbaru Hospital.Key Words: Marketing Public Relations Activity, PR Mix, S-O-R, The Best Local Brand.

Abstract

The current development of films and drama series as mass media has a role as an effective form for conveying a message and “Mega Series Suara Hati Istri: Zahra” is one that raises a discussion with gender issues in the form of social relations between women and men. This drama series also tells the culture of polygamy and women's role is still dominated by men in social life. Based on this description, this research is built on the issue of gender and the role of women which represented in the media. The research uses Sara’s Mills discourse analysis in order to see how women represented in a polygamy genre. Focused on the micro features to analyzed how women represented by level such as subject-object position and director-viewers position. There are ten scene in total which analyzed and described by the visual images, forming dialog into text to analyze it from the text form , and also the symbols that shown in by the scenes. Based on the methods, in this research was found that there are differences in the position of women and men in the practice of polygamy where the men’s role is dominance. the formation of this drama series, which is considered to reflect the values of everyday life as well by depicting the position of women as discourse which seen from the position of the reader role and is considered by the director.

Abstract

Penelitian ini Cyber PR ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Cyber PR terhadap citra PTS di Provinsi Riau. Sebanyak 8 PTS terfavorit di Provinsi Riau telah di survei terkait kegiatan Cyber PR di Website dan media sosial Facebook, Instagram dan Youtube, Public Relations (PR) Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan melakukan survei pada unit populasi berjumlah 66.935 dan 399 sampel yang terdiri dari mahasiswa PTS di Provinsi Riau, kemudian di analisis menggunakan teknik regresi linier sederhana dengan aplikasi SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa t hitung ≥ t tabel atau 17.246 ≥ 0,098 berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Cyber PR terhadap citra PTS di Provinsi Riau. Kemudian melalui uji koefisien korelasi sebesar 65,4 % yang membuktikan bahwa antar variabel memiliki hubungan yang kuat, dan ditemukan bahwa nilai determinasi (R Square) adalah sebesar 0,428 yang artinya pengaruh variabel Cyber PR (X)  terhadap citra perguruan tinggi swasta (Y) adalah sebesar 42,8%. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan  Cyber PR memiliki pengaruh cukup kuat terhadap citra PTS

Abstract

Facing Covid-19, the government responded with a new normal policy. The public must implement the 5M health protocol to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19, such as wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and limiting mobility. Through the policy, a compliance action can be investigated. speaking about gender, gender differences seem to influence the health behavior of men and women. According to White, gender is a description of the behavior patterns of men or women which recognized in social life. This study aimed to determine the correlation between gender and compliance with health protocols in the New Normal Era. The population in this study were all students studying at the top 5 universities in Riau Province using the Propionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The method used is a quantitative method with data collection techniques using questionnaires and observation. In this study using construct validity (construct validity). Testing the validity of this research instrument was carried out with the help of the SPSS 25 application/software and using the Pearson bivariate technique. Meanwhile, the instrument reliability test in this study used the Cronbach Alpha Formula technique and the SPSS 25 in windows program. The data were analyzed using the SPSS Spearman's Rank test, which states the correlation between X and Y variables. The results obtained by this study indicate a significant correlation between the Gender variable and the Health Protocol Compliance variable.

Abstract

Stunting adalah suatu kondisi dimana balita memiliki panjang atau tinggi badan yang kurang dari usianya. Stunting merupakan salah satu target Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) yang masuk dalam tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan ke-2, yaitu menghilangkan kelaparan dan segala bentuk kekurangan gizi pada tahun 2030 dan mencapai ketahanan pangan. Target yang ditetapkan adalah penurunan angka stunting hingga 40% pada tahun 2025. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut, pemerintah telah menetapkan stunting sebagai salah satu program prioritas. Di Kelurahan Air Putih, RW 05 merupakan wilayah Kelurahan Air Putih, Kecamatan Tuah Madani, Pekanbaru. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah masyarakat atau keluarga balita belum mengetahui tentang stunting dan pentingnya vitamin A pada balita. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini setelah mendapatkan penyuluhan agar warga Kelurahan Air Putih RW 05 Kelurahan Air Putih Pekanbaru dapat memahami tentang stunting pada Balita dan Program Vitamin A. Vitamin A pada balita dan metode tanya jawab. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini menggunakan brosur sebagai media sosialisasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penyuluhan tentang stunting dan pemberian Vitamin A pada Balita adalah semua ibu yang memiliki balita mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dengan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan tentang stunting dan Vitamin A pada Balita sebesar 90%. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah ibu balita lebih mengetahui tentang stunting dan manfaat vitamin A pada balita. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil pengisian lembar post test yang diberikan kepada ibu balita setelah selesai mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi dibidang pariwisata sangat dibutuhkan untuk memunculkan kesan yang baik bagi parawisatawan yang datang berkunjung ke objek wisata di Kabupaten Pelalawan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada kelompok sadar wisata (POKDARWIS) di Kebupaten Pelalawan berlangsung di Dinas Pariwisata dan Olahraga Kabupaten Pelalawan. Pelatihan communication skill di bidang pariwisata menekankan pada pentingnya mengutamakan kesan atau pengalaman bagi para wisatawan agar berkunjung dan datang kembali. Dalam meningkatkan kesan ini diperlukan kemampuan komunikator POKDARWIS yang cakap menguasai objek wisata, selain itu perlu adanya media atau chanel seperti brosur dan spanduk. Dalam pelatihan ini diajarkan bagaimana membuat pesan yang baik dan pesan yang efektif, sehingga sampai kepada para wisatawan dengan baik. Pada pengabdian ini diajarkan juga tentang konsep sadar wisata dan Sapta Pesona yang mencakup rasa aman, tertib, bersih, sejuk, indah ramah dan kenangan. Dalam communication skill untuk bidang pariwisata, diberikan juga materi tentang pentingnya hospitality dan tourism yang mencakup penyelesaian masalah, kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal, kemampuan berbahasa, kemampuan manajemen dan kemampuan multi tasking. Hal ini bertujuan agar para wisatawan mendapatkan pengalaman yang menarik dan ingin datang kembali berkunjung. Selain itu, juga diajarkan kemampuan komunikasi nonverbal bagi POKDARWIS dalam memberikan service kepada wisatawan baik wisatawan mancanegara dan domestik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the meaning of communication given by users to others through the Hago game chat room feature in finding a partner. Will see the content of messages, speech acts, episodes, relationships, life scripts, to cultural patterns that occur. Using qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach and analyzed with the theory of coordinated meaning management. The subjects in this study were users of the Hago game who were then selected based on a purposive technique. Data was collected through observational studies, interviews, and documentation with four pairs of informants. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. In addition, the technique of checking the validity of the data uses source triangulation. The results showed that there were content of messages, speech acts, episodes, relationships, life scripts by users of the Hago game to find their partner. There is a continuation to a more serious level because they have trusted each other. The relationship that exists is also increasingly intense between couples because the chat room feature can make them interact with each other. Although there are cultural differences regarding ethnicity, it is not a problem for couples and families of existing couples. Because for them a sense of love and mutual comfort is the main key to the relationship that occurs. Keywords: hago game, communication, couple
