Abstract

This paper designed a medical image compression scheme using DWT with mother wavelet Coiflet and Symlet. Thresholding and quantization process are the key to lossy compression in this scheme, and the outputs will be coded with Huffman or Arithmetic coding. There are four different codec combinations namely: Coiflet-Huffman, Coiflet-Arithmetic, Symlet-Huffman, Symlet-Arithmetic. Compression performance of each codec will be analyzed based on PSNR and compression ratio. The compression testing used 3 grayscale medical images with dimension of 160x160 pixels. The most optimal PSNR dan rate are produced by Symlet-Aritchmetic codec with recommendation threshold value less than 12. Threshold value above 12 causes PSNR of the reconstruction image will be below the minimum PSNR stardard for digital image, which is of 30dB.

Abstract

Citra bitmap biasanya memiliki ukuran citra yang relative besar. Hal ini mempengaruhi proses transmisi data dan membutuhkan tempat penyimpanan yang besar. Untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut dibutuhkan sebuah teknik reduksi citra untuk memampatkan ukuran citra dengan tetap menjaga kualitasnya. Dalam penelitian ini akan membandingkan beberapa algoritma kompresi lossy untuk menemukan satu metode optimal yang cocok untuk citra digital bitmap. Algoritma kompresi yang akan dibandingkan adalah Absolute Moment Block Truncation Coding (AMBTC), Joint Photograpic Experts (JPEG), dan Non-Negative Matrix Factorization (NMF). Proses perbandingan dilakukan dengan menghitung rasio kompresi, Mean Square Error (MSE), and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) untuk mengetahui ukuran hasil kompresi dan kualitas citra hasil kompresi. Hasilnya adalah rasio kompresi rata-rata untuk AMBTC adalah 7.32%, JPEG 1698.3%, dan NMF 8.32%. Nilai rata-rata MSE untuk kompresi AMBTC adalah 36.92, kompresi JPEG adalah 54.50 dan untuk NMF adalah 194.54. Sedangkan untuk nilai PSNR

Abstract

the use of traditional Indonesian textile motifs is influenced by elements of nature, environment and culture that develop in the community. Materials, motifs and techniques for making traditional textiles are different from one region to another. The use of information technology in preservation and providing knowledge to the public can made in the form of software that can match the pattern of images or photos while performing traditional textile classifications. The input in this study is an image of a patterned texture. The software through the pattern recognition process will perform calculations and produce values ??that can be matched in the sample database that has previously been processed. The method used is the color feature extraction with the Local Color Histogram method, texture feature extraction with the Co-occurrence matrix method, and the extraction of shape features with the Canny Edge Detection method. Each feature extraction will produce a vector. The data used consisted of 10 textile groups namely endek bali, songket bali, tenun dayak, tenun ikat, sasirangan, kain besurek, ulos, sutera bugis, kain gringsing. Classification method by using K-Nearest Neighborhood (K-NN). The results of this study are the highest accuracy values ??for extraction of texture features and the lowest accuracy values ??for the combination of extraction of shape and color features.

Abstract

In this globalization era, the state of the user who no longer occupies in a single place, but always moving, it is necessary to continuity of communication that will cause a handover. This paper intends to analyze the effect of 802.11 WLAN horizontal handover to the QoS of streaming e-learning. Methods of data collection process using the Cisco 3500 series access point that supports handover with existing network systems, ad-hoc network and type of hard handover. The results of the data analysis showed that the handover process is able to improve the QoS by gradually restored gradually, to get back to normal QoS

Abstract

Communication network depends on the WLAN , and there is so much demand on the Quality Of Service (QoS) WLAN like Throughput , delay , and filter to secure the Communication Data , therefore a network security mechanism is using the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), WiFi Protected Access (WPA), and WPA2 [14]. Mall Bali Galleria has several alternative for free WiFi, There is so many Wi-Fi has been installed causing the problem interference, and that affect the performance of the WiFi, MBG has the Indoor and Outdoor Area, The alternative to handle the interference is to using the automation channel by implementing Channel Fly , Background Scanning and Static Channel. From the security mechanism, Channel And Frequencies made by doing scenario on every single access point to get the best scenario , from the scenario that has been submitted The best score of the packet loss on indoor area Scenario that uses 4 AP with the 5Ghz Frequency , static channel , WEP-64 is 0,016ms of the packet loss , the Outdoor areas scenario that uses 5 AP with 5Ghz frequency ,Channel Fly , WEP-64 get 0,094ms of the packet loss , The best jitter score for the indoor area that uses 2 AP , 5Ghz Background Scanning , WPA 2 is 1.336ms of the jitter, outdoor area 8 AP , 5Ghz Frequency , static channel , WPA2-Mixed get 1,116 ms of Jitter , The Throughput best scores is indoor area with 1 AP , 5Ghz Frequency, Static Channel , WPA2-Mixed get 78,7Mbps of the Throughput, for the Outdoor Areas using 8 AP , 5Ghz Frequency , Background Scanning, Disable Security is 80Mbps Of The Throughput , if it compared with the existing scenario the performance is improved to 10-30%. WEP has good packet loss score however it has smallest Throughput. Static channels are recommended on the location that have high interference.

Abstract

Picture (image) is a media that used for storing visual data, for example, two-dimensional images are often used to store an incident. Images on the internet media growth very rapidly. There are a lot of image, video, text or other content on the Internet. Image Index and image retrieval again become a topic of research in the last decade in which concentrated on how to get the meaning of an information contained in an image. Three methods outlined in the search for an image, the text-based image retrieval, content-based image retrieval and indexing images in the order of language. This study focuses on the preparation of the features of an image based on color and texture. Features colors using the average value of Hue image, texture features using Gray Level occurance Matrix (GLCM). Color, texture, and shape extraction technique resulted in eighteen (18) feature that can be used as features in the process of Clustering.DOI: 10.24843/MITE.1601.12

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan hasil kompresi dari algoritma Joint-Photograpic Experts Group (JPEG) dan Principal Component Analysis (PCA) terhadap citra pas foto, guna menemukan hasil terbaik dari hasil citra kompresi yang kualitas hasilnya tidak berbeda jauh dengan citra aslinya. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Mean Square Error (MSE) dan Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah rata-rata MSE dan PNSR algoritma PCA dapat dikatakan tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan algoritma JPEG. Namun dari segi kualitas citra yang dihasilkan tidak jauh berbeda dengan algoritma JPEG.Dapat dikatakan bahwa algoritma JPEG mampu menghasilkan citra yang lebih baik dibandingkan algoritma PCA. Namun, algoritma PCA tidaklah buruk untuk dijadikan alternatif dalam kompresi citra pas foto.

Abstract

ABSTRACT—Network traffic internet is data communication in a network characterized by a set of statistical flow with the application of a structured pattern. Structured pattern in question is the information from the packet header data. Proper classification to an Internet traffic is very important to do, especially in terms of the design of the network architecture, network management and network security. The analysis of computer network traffic is one way to know the use of the computer network communication protocol, so it can be the basis for determining the priority of Quality of Service (QoS). QoS is the basis for giving priority to analyzing the network traffic data. In this study the classification of the data capture network traffic that though the use of K-Neaerest Neighbor algorithm (K-NN). Tools used to capture network traffic that wireshark application. From the observation of the dataset and the network traffic through the calculation process using K-NN algorithm obtained a result that the value generated by the K-NN classification has a very high level of accuracy. This is evidenced by the results of calculations which reached 99.14%, ie by calculating k = 3.

Abstract

Video surveillance system (VSS) is an monitoring system based-on IP-camera. VSS implemented in live streaming and serves to observe and monitor a site remotely. Typically, IP- camera in the VSS has a management software application. However, for ad hoc applications, where the user wants to manage VSS independently, application management software has become ineffective. In the IP-camera installation spread over a large area, an administrator would be difficult to describe the location of the IP-camera. In addition, monitoring an area of IP- Camera will also become more difficult. By looking at some of the flaws in VSS, this paper has proposed a VSS application for easy monitoring of each IP Camera. Applications that have been proposed to integrate the concept of web-based geographical information system with the Google Maps API (Web-GIS). VSS applications built with smart features include maps ip-camera, live streaming of events, information on the info window and marker cluster. Test results showed that the application is able to display all the features built well

Abstract

Pada encoder video berbasis block-transform, parameter pengkodean yang dapat diatur untuk mengontrol output bit rate keluaran adalah frame rate dan step size kuantisasi (Qp). Metode kontrol frame rate adalah menentukan jumlah frame yang dikodekan per detik, merupakan satu parameter pengkodean yang dapat di modifikasi untuk menyeimbangkan kebutuhan bit rate. Metode kontrol step size kuantisasi, memodifikasi parameter Qp didasarkan pada kapasitas buffer transmisi untuk tujuan pencapaian bit rate target. Pengaturan parameter Qp dan frame rate harus mengambil jalan tengah antara output bit/frame dengan kualitas pengkodean.
