Abstract

Keberadaan website sekolah sangat penting untuk menyebarluaskan informasi yang dibutuhkan sekolah, guru, siswa, dan masyarakat. Hasil wawancara akhir kegiatan ini didapatkan bahwa website ini memberikan banyak manfaat bagi masyarakat serta kemudahan dalam mengelola sistem informasi oleh operator. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menambah keahlian guru-guru di SMA Muhammadiyah Sumowono untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri dan sekolah dengan memanfaatkan website sebagai sumber informasi terkini dari sekolah baik kegiatan sekolah, SDM sekolah, keunggulan sekolah dan penciri sekolah yang membedakan dengan sekolah lain sehingga mampu menarik minat masyarakat untuk menyekolahkan putra-putri mereka di SMA Muhammadiyah Sumowono. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang dirinci menjadi metode survey, persiapan, pelatihan, penyuluhan, pendampingan, diskusi, praktik membuat website, tanya jawab serta monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Adapun hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya hasil pemahaman yang baik terhadap sosialisasi dan pelatihan membuat website untuk guru-guru SMA di SMA Muhammadiyah Sumowono sehingga mampu mendukung kualitas sekolah khususnya di dalam bidang pendidikan dan branding sekolah di khalayak masyarakat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBased on a survey at the Dabin Gunung Pati Semarang Kindergarten school, only 32% of the 50 teachers were skilled in digital information literacy and ICT. In addition, the learning media used by teachers is still limited to what's apps, social media, video recordings, and limited face-to-face meetings. In addition, teaching skills in implementing digital literacy need to be improved, and teachers' knowledge in the DABIN TK/PAUD group is limited. Besides, Merdeka Belajar's implementation in kindergarten needs to be appropriately implemented. Based on the problems encountered, the service team designed solutions: Training and Workshop on Making Learning Video Media, Digital Literacy Training and Workshop, and the third solution are Independent Curriculum Workshop. The result shows that there is an increase in the skills of the teacher group at DABIN Gunung Pati in teaching by creating media and methods relevant to the digital literacy-based independent curriculum. In addition, this knowledge transfer motivates Kindergarten/young learners teachers to innovate when carrying out the teaching and learning process in their respective classes.Berdasarkan survei di lokasi sekolah-sekolah TK kelompok Dabin Gunung Pati Semarang hanya 32 % dari 50 guru di Kecamatan tersebut yang sudah terampil dalam literasi informasi digital dan TIK. Selain itu, media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh para guru masih terbatas dengan social media whats app, video rekaman, dan tatap muka terbatas.. Selain itu keterampilan guru dalam mengimplementasikan literasi digital belum memadai dan terbatasnya pengetahuan guru-guru di Kelompok DABIN TK/ PAUD , serta implementasi kurikulum merdeka di TK belum terimplementasi dengan baik. Berdasarkan masalah yang dihadapi, tim pengabdi merancang solusi yakni sebagai berikut; Pelatihan dan Workshop Pembuatan Media Video Pembelajaran, Pelatihan dan Workshop Literasi Digital, dan solusi ketiga adalah Workshop kurikulum merdeka. Solusi tersebut menghasilkan peningkatan keterampilan kelompok guru di DABIN Gunung Pati dalam mengajar dengan membuat media dan metode yang relevan dengan kurikulum merdeka berbasis literasi digital. Selain itu, transfer ilmu ini mendorong motivasi guru TK/AUD dalam berinovasi ketika melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar di kelas masing-masing.

Abstract

The application of Total Physical Response and repetition model to develop young learners learning is the combination of song, movement, and language by using audio, visual, and kinesthethic. This research aims at applying young learners learning model, which consists of; to look for and select nursery rhymes and movement implemented in TPR and repetition model, to determine steps and flow is used in English young learners learning, to create learning CD, and TPR and Repetition handout, to analyze the use of TPR and repetition in young leaners learning. The significance of the research is to contribute English young learners teachers learning model so the learners are able to learn English easily and attractively. The result of this research influences positive effect towards English young learners mastery because they are able to learn and sing simultenously to memorize new vocabularies using musical movement. It can be seen from the investigation result of the use of course design and lesson plan is 71,67, the investigation result of the use of course design, lesson plan, learning CD, and TPR handout is 72,5. Moreover, the application TPR and repetition before and after learning it has improvement 34,15. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the application of Total Physical Response and repetition model to develop young learners / kindergaten learning can be applied well and give motivation to learn English easily.

Abstract

Bagi anak usia dini literasi lebih diarahkan pada pengenalan dan pemahaman anak melalui tahapan-tahapan bermain dan belajarnya tentang aksara dan angka hingga membentuk anak kreatif dan mandiri yang mampu berkarya sesuai dengan usia dan perkembangannya. Oleh karena itu, sebagai guru wajib memberikan dorongan dan stimulus dengan cara-cara tertentu agar anak berhasil mempelajari budaya literasi.Pada kenyataannya, guru dan siswa TK Bunga Cahaya Manyaran Semarang masihkurangmenerapkankegiatanliterasibersama khususnya mengenalkan anak dengan buku dan kegiatan membaca dalam arti memahami buku sebagai jendela informasi. Merujuk pada pernyataan tersebut, permasalahan penelitian ini yaitu tentang persepsi anak dan guru terhadap implementasi literasi anak usia dini di TK Bunga Cahaya. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa dan guru adalah observasi dan interview. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah 78% guru telah mengimplementasikan budaya literasi dengan cara membiasakan mendengarkan dongeng sebelum pelajaran dimulai dan terbentuknya pojok aksara dimana anak-anak dapat mengenal lebih banyak buku-buku bacaan sederhana dan aksara-aksara yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi budaya literasi di TK Bunga Cahaya telah berjalan dengan baik sehingga persepsi anak tentang literasi sangat bagus dan antusias. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat mengajak para guru TK untuk lebih banyak memperkaya bahan dalam menggerakkan budaya literasi sejak dini.

Abstract

Seiring berkembangnya kurikulum dan capaian pembelajaran disesuaikan dengan implementasi kurikulum merdeka, maka guru dituntut untuk lebih sigap dalam mempersiapkan proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas dengan berbasis teknologi khususnya di KB/TK. Hal ini juga dialami para guru di KB/TK ABA 38 Semarang. Sekitar 50% guru sudah memiliki pemahaman literasi digital dalam hal pembuatan media ajar video menggunakan aplikasi di handphone namun yang baru menerapkan hanya 25% saja dari jumlah total 8 guru TK/KB di TK ABA 38 Semarang. Selain itu, banyak guru di TK ABA 38 Semarang disibukkan dengan berbagai kegiatan TK di Provinsi atau Kabupaten sehingga mereka jarang sekali memodifikasi media pembelajaran dikemas semenarik mungkin melalui aplikasi video Camtasia. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi, tim pengabdi menentukan solusi permasalahan yakni: workshop media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Camtasia berbasis numerasi, workshop media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Camtasia berbasis literasi, dan praktik bersama secara terbimbing mengedit video pembelajaran dengan aplikasi Camtasia. Adapun solusi yang dihasilkan adalah guru TK ABA 38 Semarang mampu menerapkan literasi, numerasi, dan mampu mengedit video menggunakan aplikasi Camtasia dengan dibuktikan dari hasil respon yang positif dan observasi proses editing video yang terampil dari para guru di sekolah tersebut. Selain itu produk video yang dihasilkan dapat dimanfaatkan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melayani tim terapis di Klinik Massage Cedera Olahraga Seger Waras Semarang untuk mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris karena adanya pasien asing yang sudah banyak berobat dan melakukan terapi cedera olahraga di sana. Berdasarkan masalah yang dihadapi, tim pengabdi merancang solusi yakni adanya pelatihan berbicara, menulis, membaca, dan mendengarkan teks bahasa Inggris sehingga mampu berkomunikasi aktif dengan pasien asing. Adapun solusi tersebut akhirnya akan diperoleh luaran yaitu peningkatan keterampilan kelompok terapis dalam berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

EFL learners had a less enthuastic and  difficult experiences when they studied short fuctional text. So, this current study discussed how to create a mobile phone application for online learning compatible with Android and Windows platforms named short functional text: greeting card. This study also attempted to evaluate the effectiveness of acquiring English language skills using Android-based mobile learning media. This study employed a research and development methodology, which involved nine consecutive stages: identification of potential and challenges, data collection, product design, validation of the design by experts, product testing, initial product revision, trial usage of the product, second product revision, and finalization of the product. The research instruments employed were questionnaires and tests. The data analysis was performed utilizing descriptive statistics and an independent sample T-test. The participants included eighth-grade students who were enrolled at SMP N 4 Purwodadi. Three separate findings were obtained from this inquiry. The validation of media and material specialists was a relevant evaluation of an authentic product, and the viability of using an Android-based mobile learning media product was established. Moreover, the average pre-test and post-test results exhibited a significant significance level, suggesting that the android-based mobile learning media was very effective as a learning medium throughout the learning process. Moreover, the student's perception findings were categorized as positive, with 75.5% indicating their agreement with using Android-based mobile learning media for learning. Using android-based mobile learning media can help students comprehend condensed functional content included in greeting cards, and it can alleviate monotony throughout the learning process.

Abstract

On August 11st, 2022, In the ever-evolving digital era, the utilization of technology for educational purposes is becoming increasingly important. One of the latest innovations is the development of an Android app-based English learning media specifically designed to introduce basic concepts about three types of animals based on their food types. This study evaluates the impact of Articulate Storyline-based interactive learning media on grade 4 students. The results showed that the use of this media provided a number of benefits for students. They did not feel bored during the learning process and were able to distinguish three types of animals based on their food. This media also encourages independent and explorative learning, increases student engagement through interactive features, and helps teachers deliver material more effectively. Therefore, the use of this interactive learning media can be an effective solution to improve the quality of learning at the primary school level This app not only serves as a language learning tool, but also as an educational tool that invites users to understand the differences between herbivores, carnivores and omnivores in an interactive and engaging way. Through interactive features such as exercises and quizzes, users can access this learning material easily on their Android devices, making the learning process more effective and fun.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Pergeseran pembelajaran dari luring menjadi daring pada masa pandemi COVID 19 memberikan dampak besar pada proses pembelajaran di sekolah khususnya SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Semarang. Sekolah yang berlokasi di Jalan Lapangan Kalisasak No.9 Mangkang Wetan Tugu Kota Semarang, dimana siswa-siswa dan guru-guru melaksanakan daring dengan whats app group dan google classroom. Sebanyak 60 % guru di SMP Muhammadiyah 9 menggunakan whatsapp dan google classroom untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran belum mengaplikasikan media dan pendekatan yang memotivasi dan menunjang autonomous learning siswa.   Guru belum memiliki kemampuan memodifikasi pembelajaran online berbasis blended learning dengan media android sederhana. Hampir 55 % siswa bosan mengikuti pembelajaran karena tidak bertemu tatap muka secara langsung. Permasalahan ini terjadi karena keterbatasan fasilitas yang dimiliki oleh SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Kota Semarang. Tujuan: Untuk meningkatkan literasi dalam berinovasi menggunakan media ajar yang menarik seperti video, android sederhana atau media audio dengan media blended online learning. Metode: Kegiatan pendampingan ini dimulai dari; 1) pendampingan pelatihan pembelajaran blended online, 2) pendampingan pelatihan media ajar menarik, 3) pendampingan perancangan lesson plan berdasar daring, literasi dan blended online learning bagi guru. Hasil: Adapun hasil pengabdian ini adalah adanya kemampuan literasi guru yang berbasis teknologi model aplikasi dasar media blended online learning, lesson plan, serta peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dan kompetensi profesional guru dalam menggunakan media bervariasi. Kesimpulan: Oleh karena itu, adanya motivasi belajar siswa yang baik maka dapat mendukung kemampuan profesional guru yang inovatif. Kata kunci: implementasi; literasi; blended online learning ____________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract Background: The shift in learning from offline to online during the COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the learning process in schools, especially SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Semarang. The school is located at Jalan Lapangan Kalisasak No. 9 Mangkang Wetan Tugu, Semarang City, where students and teachers carry out online with whats app group and Google Classroom. 60% of teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 use whats app and Google Classroom to carry out learning but have yet to apply media and approaches that motivate and support students' autonomous learning. Teachers cannot modify blended learning-based online learning with simple Android media. Nearly 55% of students are bored with learning because they need to meet face-to-face. This problem occurs because of the limited facilities owned by SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Semarang City. Objective: To increase literacy in innovating using interest teaching media such as video, simple Android, or audio media with blended online learning media. Method: This mentoring activity starts from 1) mentoring on online, blended learning training, 2) mentoring on engaging teaching media training, and 3) assistance in designing lesson plans based on online literacy and blended online learning for teachers. Result: The results of this service are the teacher's literacy skills based on technology, the primary application model of blended online learning media, lesson plans, and an increase in student learning motivation and teacher professional competence in using various media. Abstract

The continually advancing technology offers convenience across various educational domains, facilitating the process of writing in foreig languages. Google Translate, a widely embraced application for translating text into multiple languages, including English, stands out as a highly favored tool among university students for accomplishing their writing assignments. This study seeks to find out students' perspectives on using Google Translate in English writing assignments. Employing descriptive quantitative research, the study engaged approximately 50 college students with prior experience using Google Translate for English writing tasks. Data collection occurred through a combination of questionnaires and interviews. The findings from the questionnaire analysis revealed that 58% of the students affirmed agree with the significant effectiveness of Google Translate in enhancing their English writing skills. Positive responses also manifested in heightened confidence and the acquisition of new vocabulary among students utilizing Google Translate in their writing assignments, thereby contributing to the overall development of their writing proficiency.
