Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze typhology of half blood Chinese ethnic house by classifying the house element based on certain types, in order to obtain the thypology from micro side which is seen from roof thypology, column, floor, balustrade, console and the elements of openings in the form of doors, windows, bouvenlicht. Morphology from the micro side by analyzing the changes which is related with residential home element, meso by analyzing the changes and addition of sketch which is seen from space organization so the effect on changes in function, hierarchy, and circulation in the room. The existence of acculturation causing the Java style influence, China and the Netherlands in this house. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive by analyzing the physical condition of both residential and layout elements that can be produced by the characteristics of each typology and morphological findings.Key Word : Typology, morphology, the half blood Chinese ethnic

Abstract

Nowadays most of alun-alun turned into an urban park that serves as public open space advocates social, aesthetic and ecological functions. PKL as an economic entity, do not lose on the chance of crowd people on public space as a potential market for their business. The existence of street vendors in the square had become a dilemma, allowed or prohibited. This research aims to describe the spatial dynamics of street vendors in alun-alun Ponorogo and explore its existence to study its local wisdom. This study used qualitative descriptive method based on indepth interview on keypersons. The existence of street vendors in alun-alun Ponorogo form spatial-dynamic and as a form of local wisdom that develops in alun-alun Ponorogo.Keywords : alun-alun, Ponorogo, PKL (street vendors), local wisdom

Abstract

Kampung Batik Jetis Sidoarjo adalah lokasi penghasil batik tulis khas Sidoarjo. Di Kampung Batik Jetis terdapat 15 pengrajin batik yang bertempat tinggal sekaligus menjalankan usaha kerajinan dan penjualan di lokasi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memahami penggunaan ruang pada usaha pengrajin batik tulis di Kampung Batik Jetis Sidoarjo. Dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dilakukan dengan pengamatan dan observasi pada ruang usaha 15 pengrajin batik tersebut sehingga didapat hasil identifikasi yang akan dianalisa dengan mengacu pada teori yang terkait. Skala penelitian ini adalah hanya melingkupi ruang secara mikro. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah tentang penggunaan ruang untuk usaha pengrajin batik tulis di Kampung Batik Jetis ini secara umum menunjukkan bahwa setiap pengrajin melakukan aktivitas usaha dalam ruang usaha mereka masing-masing yang dimiliki sendiri (13 pengrajin) atau dipinjam dari pengrajin lain (2 pengrajin). Ruang yang digunakan terdiri dari ruang untuk proses produksi dan pasca produksi. Terdapat beberapa tipe ruang usaha berdasarkan ruang yang dimiliki/ digunakan. Sifat penggunaan ruang adalah permanen dan terdapat tipe ruang usaha berdasarkan letak/ proporsinya yang merupakan kombinasi dari tipe berimbang, campuran dan terpisah.Kata kunci: penggunaan ruang, aktivitas usaha batik, pengrajin batik tulis

Abstract

Corn is the cultural identity of the Madurese, they being called as maize eaters and included an agrarian society with a kind of shifting agriculture landscape called “ekologi tegal”. Cornfield was once the most important hierarchy in tanèyan lanjhèng. The pattern of rural settlement in Madura is a combination of several clusters tanèyan lanjhèng formed by main moor space hierarchy, then occupancy. Indigenous land use occupancy states should not diminish arable land. But the shift in consumption from maize to rice and Islamic land inheritance system that is uksorilokal and matrilocal changing land use as residential space hierarchy utama.Tujuan this paper is to seek the embodiment and the relationship between the agricultural landscape (dost) with occupancy (tanèyan lanjhèng) so as to form a pattern of settlement , to do with a shift in consumption and a system of inheritance. Discussion method uses anthropologicalarchitectural approach. So characteristic of farming communities in eastern Madura is a problem: the hierarchy of space, the position of women, kinship, social system, as well as the limits of hierarchy, related to settlement patterns. The physical manifestation of settlements tend to the meaning and philosophy of Islam.Keywords: tegal ecology, settlement patterns, tanèyan lanjhèng, meaning and philosophy of Islam

Abstract

This paper is a review of the importance of interdisciplinary reviews in assessing the cosmological aspects of architecture. Architecture is a discipline that focuses on the study of the human environment. Environment and humans are very complex objects. Studies of people and architecture need to involve other disciplines. Involving other disciplines will help the understanding of people and architecture as a cultural product. Cosmology is the key to understanding architecture, especially the architecture of pre-modern society. By analysing the substance of some theories and architectural research on cosmology obtained the conclusion that in reviewing cosmological aspects in architecture is required interdisciplinary studies because architecture is an object that needs to be viewed from many perspectives. This is due to the complexity of human beings who create and create architecture as a place of residence.Keywords: interdisciplinary, architecture, cosmology

Abstract

Kasepuhan Ciptagelar is a kasepuhan who still holds the ngalalakon tradition. Based on the traces of the movement, the artifacts left are not only settlements or houses but also artifacts that are outside the settlements in the form of astana (tomb). Physically, this astana has differences from other tombs because the astana adapts to environmental conditions. This study aims to identify the architectural elements of Astana Sunda Kasepuhan Ciptagelar, to determine its characteristics. The research method is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The results show that the architectural elements of Astana Sunda Kasepuhan Ciptagelar are influenced by Sundanese culture, nature and the environment, with the main character is the use of natural materials around the. The basic form of plan is rectangle, with or without pangkemit. All astana have woven bamboo walls, rectangle windows and doors in several variants, roof in the form of parahu kumureb and Suhunan Jolopon. The original roof are made of palm-fibers, and the ceiling under the roof are using woven bamboo.

Abstract

Kasepuhan Sinar Resmi are part of the Banten Kidul Indigenous Community with a cultural base of rice in their lives. The settlements are formed from natural, geographic, socio-economic-cultural activities that have spatial characteristics. The spatial peculiarities of the settlement are interesting things to be studied and reveal their physical and philosophical manifestations. With a qualitative descriptive analysis approach, this study aims to identify and describe the characteristics of the Kasepuhan Sinar Resmi housing based on non-physical and physical aspects. The variables studied were: 1) socio-cultural and economic, 2) public activity, 3) natural and geographic conditions, 4) spatial-forming elements of settlements, 5) physical spatial layout, and 6) building typology. The results showed that the character of the settlement was formed based on non-physical aspects in the form of consistency in carrying out the tatali paranti karuhun, as well as respect and obedience to the leaders as regulator of life in kasepuhan. This is the main factor that greatly influences the spatial layout of the Kasepuhan Sinar Resmi’s settlement physically apart from the natural and geographical conditions of the area. The implementation of respect for karuhun is the continuity of the rice culture that has been preserved until now, which is sustainable in all farming activities, and the socio-culture of the kasepuhan community.

Abstract

Local wisdom of Klepek village involves a sacred space called punden. The implementation of the tradition with punden as a sacred space is an embodiment of the inner responsibility and gratitude of the community to the ancestors who built the village. Traditional activities involving punden consist of the nyadranan tradition, barikan, preparation for celebrations and thanksgiving after harvest. The focus of this research is on the nyadranan tradition. This study uses a qualitative method. Data from the object of observation was studied descriptively. The belief of the people of Klepek Village who believe punden as a sacred place results in the use of space. With the use of space for sacred activities, it can also be seen the factors that form it, namely: activity, purpose, time and actors involved. The interaction of these factors with the space used shows the meaning of space.
