Abstract

Hasil Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) di Tahun 2022 Kota Tasikmalaya menempati urutan ke-9 prevelansi stunting tertinggi di Jawa Barat dengan angka sebesar 22,4%. Terdapat 5 Puskesmas dengan kasus stunting tertinggi di Kota Tasikmalaya pada tahun 2022 yaitu Puskesmas Karanganyar sebanyak 599 kasus, Puskesmas Purbaratu sebanyak 462 kasus, Puskesmas Mangkubumi sebanyak 412 kasus, Puskesmas Cibeureum sebanyak 382 kasus dan Puskesmas Kawalu sebanyak 366 kasus. Status stunting pada anak dapat diketahui melalui hasil pengukuran tinggi atau panjang badan yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan standar yang berlaku. Sehingga data stunting dipengaruhi oleh keakuratan hasil pengukuran antropometri pada bayi dan balita. Namun, pada kenyataannya masih banyak terjadi human error dalam melakukan pengukuran antropoemtri sehingga dapat mempengaruhi data stunting di suatu wilayah. Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader terkait pengukuran dan penggunaan alat antropometri untuk meningkatkan keakuratan deteksi stunting pada bayi dan balita. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi terkait keakuratan penggunaan alat antropometri dan pengaruhnya dalam menentukan status stunting pada bayi dan balita. Selain itu melakukan pelatihan kepada kader kesehatan mengenai tata cara pengukuran antropometri yang benar hingga memahami hasil pengukuran TB/PB, BB, dan LiLA serta tindak lanjutnya. Hasil kegiatan PkM ini terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan kader kesehatan yang ditunjukan dengan peningkatan hasil posttest dibandingkan dengan hasil pretest. Dengan dilaksanakan pelatihan pengukuran antropometri diharapkan data yang diperoleh dari pengukuran bayi dan balita dapat terstandar dan data stunting lebih akurat.

Abstract

The rising prevalence of overweight and obesity today is associated with various factors, including digital behaviors and the social environment. This study examines the relationships between screen time, sleep duration, attitudes, physical activity, average gaming time, and the number of gaming peers with the incidence of obesity among adolescents. This study is a matched case-control study design. The study population comprises adolescents aged 16–18, encompassing both case and control groups. The case population includes adolescents with obesity in Leuwisari District, while the control population comprises non-obese adolescents from the same location. Case samples were determined based on data from the AUSREM Program, identifying 42 obese adolescents. Meanwhile, the control sample consists of non-obese adolescents selected purposively with a 1:1 matching ratio to the case group, ensuring comparable characteristics. Consequently, the total sample size for this study amounts to 84 participants. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires. Data analysis for screen time, sleep duration, attitudes, and physical activity used the McNemar test. Meanwhile, Pearson correlation was applied to measure the correlation between average gaming time and the number of gaming friends. The results indicate that variables significantly associated with adolescent obesity include screen time (OR=6.33, p=0.000), sleep duration (OR=4.25, p=0.004), Adolescents' attitudes toward obesity (OR=8.17, p=0.004), physical activity (OR=6.00, p=0.004), average gaming time (r=0.624, p = 0.012), and number of gaming friends (r=0.509, p = 0.000).

Abstract

Indonesia saat ini sedang menghadapi triple burden of malnutrition, yang ditandai dengan koeksistensi kekurangan gizi (malnutritisi), kelebihan berat badan (overweight) dan defisiensi zat gizi mikro. Berdasarkan Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tasikmalaya pada tahun 2020, angka kasus stunting di Kota Tasikmalaya mencapai 7.731 atau 17,58. Produksi ikan di Kota Tasikmalaya mencapai 9.334 ton ikan. Salah satu kecamatan yang paling banyak terdapat rumah tangga usaha pembudidaya kolam ikan adalah Kecamatan Kawalu sebanyak 1.652 rumah tangga. Nugget merupakan salah satu bentuk produk makanan beku siap saji yang banyak disukai anak-anak dan menjadi sumber protein hewani. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini yaitu bagaimana memberikan pelatihan mengenai pembuatan nugget ikan lele kepada masyarakat terutama keluarga yang beresiko stunting, sehingga mereka dapat menerapkan produk ini untuk pengolahan pangan di tingkat rumah tangga. Permasalahan tentang balita stunting dapat diatasi dengan adanya edukasi gizi dan pengolahan pangan berbasis ikan lele yang mudah dibudidayakan dan mudah untuk diolah. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan rata-rata skor pre-test peserta adalah 6,6 dan hasil rata-rata post-test peserta adalah 8,05. Hasil pengujian statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test atau ada pengaruh pemberian materi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kader tentang pelatihan nugget ikan lele untuk mencegah balita stunting. Dari hasil kegiatan ini, disarankan yaitu agar penanganan balita stunting segera teratasi melalui pengolahan nugget ikan lele dan program yang dilakukan efektif setelah kegiatan ini selesai dilakukan dengan adanya pendampingan melalui Kader Posyandu yang akan dipantau melalui grup WhatsApp.

Abstract

Penyakit Tuberkulosis (TB) Paru merupakan penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara penderita TB paru dengan kejadian status gizi kurang (Aisyah Iseu Siti, 2018). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa seseorang yang menderita penyakit TB seiring dengan berjalannya waktu akan mengalami gizi kurang yang disebabkan oleh menurunnya asupan gizi yang memadai.Tempe merupakan salah satu pangan murah yang tinggi akan kandungan protein. Kandungan protein tempe yang tinggi diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan status gizi pada penderita TB Paru. Pengolahan tempe menjadi pangan yang lebih mudah untuk dikonsumsi selain dengan cara digoreng dan dikukus adalah dengan membuat tempe menjadi minuman sari tempe sehingga akan lebih meningkatkan asupan protein dengan melihat kemudahan dalam mengkonsumsi tempe tersebut tanpa harus melalui proses penggoreng yang sudah biasa dilakukan dimasyarakat.Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut maka kami ingin berkontribusi dengan melaksanakan kegiatan Pelatihan Pembuatan Sari Tempe pada keluarga penderita TB Paru dalam rangka Peningkatan Status Gizi penderita Tb Paru di Desa Tanjungsari dan Desa Cineam Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Melalui pelatihan diharapkan minuman sari tempe dapat menjadi alternatif konsumsi pangan tinggi protein yang bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan status gizi dan status kesehatan pada penderita TB paru dan memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat cara pengolahan tempe menjadi minuman sari tempe.Pelatihan sari tempe diadakan pada tanggal 15 Juni 2019 di aula madrasah desa Tanjungsari yang dihadiri 30 orang dan tanggal 16 Juni 2019 di aula madrasah desa Cineam yang dihadiri 25 orang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, rata-rata skor pretest peserta adalah 81, 2 dan hasil rata-rata post test peserta adalah 89,5. Hasil pengujian statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan pengetahuan peserta elatihan tentang pentingnya makanan sehat terutama sari tempe bagi pencegahan penyakit Tb paru.

Abstract

Prevalensi stunting nasional pada tahun 2024 (19,8%) masih berada di atas target yang ditetapkan sebesar 14,2% pada 2029 dan 5% pada 2045. Program Gemarikan (Gerakan Memasyarakatkan Makan Ikan) digalakkan untuk mendukung percepatan penanganan stunting, mengingat ikan merupakan sumber protein hewani bernilai tinggi, mudah dicerna, dan terjangkau. Oleh karena itu, inovasi olahan ikan untuk Makanan Pendamping ASI (MPASI) diperlukan.Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sumber pangan lokal, khususnya ikan, sebagai protein hewani dan metode pengolahannya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui edukasi (metode ceramah) mengenai inovasi olahan lele, diikuti demonstrasi pengolahan nugget dan sosis lele. Pengetahuan peserta dianalisis menggunakan pre-test dan post-test.Hasil analisis paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,125 (p > 0,05), mengindikasikan bahwa intervensi ini belum memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan secara statistik. Meskipun demikian, observasi pada skor rata-rata menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pada topik manfaat asam amino ikan serta metode pengolahan dan penyimpanan produk. Peningkatan ini dimungkinkan karena informasi tersebut ditekankan kembali selama praktik demonstrasi memasak. Disimpulkan bahwa edukasi di masa depan memerlukan media yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif peserta dan pembelajaran berbasis tim.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence, specifically among female is a high-risk period for weight gain and the incidence of being overweight. Lifestyle is considered a significant contributing factor to overweight in female adolescents. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the association between lifestyle, particularly daily activity and eating habits with the incidence of being overweight among female adolescents in Tasikmalaya City, West Java. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used with 275 subjects from seven state junior high schools selected by proportional random sampling. The data collected included demographics, lifestyle comprising daily activity, eating habits, as well as the incidence of being overweight, measured using the Body Mass Index-Age-Z score (BAZ). The association between lifestyle and overweight was evaluated using binary logistic regression. Results: The results showed that out of 275 subjects, 51 were overweight (18.5%) and 224 (81.5%) had normal weight. The risk factors for being overweight included sleeping less than seven hours a day (p=0.017; OR=3.020; 95%CI=1.218-7.486), mild physical activity (p=0.008; OR=19.251; 95%CI=2.170-170.790), breakfast frequency less than 3 times a week (p=0.033; OR=2.418; 95% CI=1.074-5.443) and frequent snacking habits (p=0.000; OR=15.022; 95% CI=5.922-43.846). Conclusions: Several lifestyles were found to significantly impact the incidence of being overweight among female adolescents, thus  suggesting the need to make lifestyle  modifications.

Abstract

AbstrakPemerintah menyatakan bahwa masih terjadi penularan virus corona di Indonesia hingga hari ini. Di tengah pandemi ini, sistem imunitas tubuh menjadi sangat krusial. Oleh karena itu, satu cara untuk menjaga kekebalan tubuh adalah dengan mengonsumsi minuman-minuman yang terbukti secara klinis mampu menjaga imunitas. Direkomendasikan oleh Medical Daily untuk mengonsumsi minuman-minuman yang mengandung nutrisi penting seperti protein, vitamin A, dan vitamin C diantaranya adalah jahe, kunyit dan serai. Tanaman tersebut mudah didapatkan di daerah Gunung Tanjung, sehingga bahan baku minuman tradisional ini mudah didapatkan dan dapat dikembangkan sebagai usaha bisnis dalam memanfaatkan potensi desa. Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut kami melaksanakan kegiatan Pelatihan Pembuatan Minuman Tradisional dalam Rangka Peningkatan Imun Tubuh dalam Menghadapi COVID 19 di Desa Tanjungsari Kecamatan Gunung Tanjung Kabupaten Tasikmalaya untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat cara pencegahan dari COVID 19 serta menjadikan peluang usaha dalam bisnis minuman tradisional. Pelatihan minuman tradisional ini diadakan pada tanggal 14 November 2020 di aula koperasi PGRI Dusun Lengkong dan tanggal 15 November 2020 di aula madrasah Dusun Leuwidahu masing-masing dihadiri 30 orang. Sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan pre test dan post test untuk mengetahui sejauhmana tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang COVID 19 dan tentang khasiat minuman tradisional dalam meningkatkan imun tubuh. Materi pelatihan yang diberikan adalah COVID 19 dan peran imun tubuh serta khasiat herbal bagi imun tubuh, kualitas air, peluang usaha minuman tradisional serta demonstrasi minuman tradisional. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, rata-rata skor dan post test peserta bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan pengetahuan peserta pelatihan tentang pentingnya minuman tardisional dalam meningkatkan imun tubuh bagi pencegahan penyakit COVID 19.AbstractThe government stated that there is still a transmission of the corona virus in Indonesia to this day. In the midst of this pandemic, the immune system is very crucial. Therefore, one way to maintain immunity is to consume drinks that are clinically proven to maintain it. It is recommended by Medical Daily to consume drinks that contain important nutrients such as protein, vitamin A, and vitamin C, including ginger, turmeric and lemongrass. These plants are easy to find in the Gunung Tanjung area, so the raw material for this traditional drink is available and can be developed as a business venture in exploiting the potential of the village. Based on these findings, we conducted Training on Making Traditional Drinks in the Context of Increasing Immune in the Face of COVID 19 in Tanjungsari Village, Gunung Tanjung District, Tasikmalaya Regency to provide knowledge to the community on how to prevent COVID 19 and make business opportunities in the traditional beverage business. This traditional beverage training was held on November 14, 2020 at the PGRI Dusun Lengkong cooperative hall and November 15, 2020 at the Dusun Leuwidahu madrasah hall, each attended by 30 people. Before and after the training activities, pre-test and post-test were carried out to find out the level of public knowledge about COVID 19 and about the efficacy of traditional drinks in increasing body immunity. The training materials provided were COVID 19 and the role of body immunity as well as herbal properties for body immunity, water quality, traditional beverage business opportunities and demonstrations of traditional drinks. Based on the results of calculations, the average score and post test of the participants indicated that there were significant differences in the knowledge of the training participants about the importance of traditional drinks in increasing the body's immunity for the prevention of COVID 19. Kata kunci: COVID 19; Imun Tubuh; Minuman Tradisional; Pelatihan.

Abstract

The low consumption of vegetables and fruits in Indonesia remains a nutritional problem that contributes to an increased risk of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity. One of the efforts to address this issue is through the utilization of home yards as a source of family food. This community service program aimed to improve knowledge, skills, and nutritional awareness by optimizing home yards into nutrition gardens, thereby strengthening household food security, reducing family expenses, and supporting economic improvement. The program was conducted on July 31, 2025 in Sukahurip Subdistrict, Tamansari District, Tasikmalaya City, West Java, with the target participants being “Kelompok Wanita Tani” (KWT) and Posyandu cadres, with a total of 35 participants. The program was conducted using a participatory approach through five stages: socialization, training in gardening skills and nutrition education, application of nutrition garden technology, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed an increase in participants’ knowledge regarding the benefits of vegetable and fruit consumption as well as the utilization of limited land. The average knowledge score increased from 6,65 (pre-test) to 8,60 (post-test) with p-value = 0,001, indicating a significant difference before and after the intervention. The final evaluation of the program will be carried out through surveis and interviews to assess the improvement in vegetable and fruit consumption, the utilization of home yards as nutrition gardens, and participants’ understanding of balanced nutrition practices.

Abstract

The causes of menstrual cycle irregularities in adolescents are multifactorial, including nutritional status and stress levels. Irregular menstrual patterns, if left unaddressed, may have long-term implications for reproductive health. This study aimed to analyze the association between nutritional status and stress levels with menstrual cycle patterns in 127 adolescent girls aged 13–15 years from three private junior high schools within the service area of Bantar Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. A cross-sectional design was employed. Nutritional status was assessed using anthropometric measurements, stress levels were evaluated through the DASS questionnaire, and data on menstrual cycle regularity and intervals were collected via a structured questionnaire. Chi-square analysis indicated a significant correlation between nutritional status and menstrual cycle patterns (p-value = 0,027), with adolescents experiencing malnutrition showing a higher proportion of menstrual irregularities compared to those with normal nutritional status. Fisher’s exact test also demonstrated a significant association between stress levels and menstrual cycle patterns (p-value = 0,043), with adolescents exhibiting high stress levels having an increased risk of menstrual cycle disturbances. These findings underscore that imbalanced nutritional status and elevated stress levels can disrupt hormonal function and compromise menstrual cycle regularity in adolescent girls. Therefore, monitoring nutritional status and implementing stress management strategies are essential to support regular menstrual cycles and promote reproductive health in this population.

Abstract

Adolescence is an important period in the individual development process, marked by various biological, psychological, and sexual changes. Menstruation (menarche) is one of the early characteristics for adolescent girls that indicates the functioning of the reproductive system. This condition requires attention to the cleanliness of intimate organs, because the shedding of the endometrium which is rich in blood vessels can increase the risk of infection. Lack of implementation of good menstrual hygiene practices can have an impact on the health of the reproductive tract. Objective: To review the importance of implementing hygiene during menstruation as part of efforts to protect the reproductive health of adolescent girls and prevent infection. Menstrual hygiene includes actions to maintain cleanliness such as choosing the right sanitary napkins, changing them regularly, and cleaning female organs in the right way. Lack of education and information about hygiene management during menstruation is one of the factors that influences this poor practice. Social, cultural factors, as well as individual values and habits also play a role in shaping menstrual hygiene behavior. Counseling and education about menstrual hygiene play an important role in supporting the reproductive health of adolescent girls. Digital media such as Android applications can be used as an effective educational tool to improve understanding and healthy behavior during menstruation.
