Abstract

Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) is one types of plantation plants that receive constant attention to develop. One of the areas in West Sumatra that emerged as the center of the cocoa plantation was nagari mount rajo, a flatland district. But in its cultivation, it often has the same problem that payo farm groups have in producing cocoa beans, cocoa trees that have aged and been destroyed by disease pests. An intensified effort to overcome the problem would be to reduce pests and disease attacks, and the cocoa production would continue to increase. The purpose of the farm group’s empowerment activity is to give knowledge of the techniques and processes of pruning good and proper cocoa cultivation plants according to the proper procedure in order to produce productivity results from the plant. The method used in this activity is a direct and indirect approach. A direct approach by conducting an interview with the nagari people of mount rajo and by socializing and live demonstrations in the field. The indirect method of doing this is observation. Observation is an observation made to know the habbit. The result of empowering activities is that communities especially payo farm groups have a greater knowledge of how to cultivate good and true cocoa plants, knowing when the time is right to do the pruning and the kind of pruning that is necessary so s to increase the production of the cocoa. This activity has been a tremendous help to the community in solving every problem found in the cultivation of the cocoa plant.

Abstract

Kabupaten Tanah Datar merupakan daerah agraris, lebih 70% penduduknya bekerja pada sektor pertanian, baik pertanian tanaman pangan, perkebunan, perikanan, maupun peternakan. Nagari Gunung Rajo merupakan salah satu nagari di Kecamatan Batipuh dengan pertanian sebagai sektor ekonomi utama yaitu tanaman padi sawah. Masalah yang sering dihadapi petani Gunung Rajo adalah masalah hama dan penyakit yang menyerang tanaman. Salah satu komponen utama dari program PHT adalah pengendalian hayati dengan memanfaatkan agen hayati rizobakteri indigenus. Aplikasi rizobakteri sangat menguntungkan bagi tanaman karena dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman secara langsung dan tidak langsung. Tujuan kegiatan pemberdayaan kelompok tani ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan rizobakteri yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman padi dengan sistem tanam jajar legowo. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu dengan pelatihan terstruktur dan praktik langsung dilapangan pengaruh rizobakteri terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman padi menggunakan sistem jajar legowo. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini yaitu produksi bobot gabah/rumpun tanaman yang diberi perlakuan rizobakteri lebih tinggi sebanyak 40,74 gram dibandingkan dengan tanaman yang tidak diberi perlakuan rizobakteri (tanaman kontrol). Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini yaitu pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman yang di aplikasikan menggunakan rizobakteri lebih tinggi dari pada tanaman yang tidak diberi perlakuan rizobakteri. Penggunaan rizobakteri sangat disarankan karena selain mudah untuk didapatkan juga memberikan nilai positif terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman dan baik untuk teknologi lingkungan sekitar tanaman budidaya.

Abstract

Jorong Parit Dalam Nagari Taeh Baruah, Payakumbuh District, Limapuluh Kota Regency is one of the villages that has various problems such as drought, high number of idle lands and remote access. The main crop planted during the rainy season is lowland rice, but most of the land becomes idle land during the dry season. In terms of fertilization, farmers in this location still use artificial fertilizers (chemical fertilizers) and in terms of pest and disease control they still use chemical pesticides. The solutions that can be offered are planting chili plants which are more resistant to drought, processing agricultural waste into compost as an alternative to reduce dependence on the use of chemical fertilizers, use of Trichoderma and vegetable pesticides as agents for controlling pests and diseases, and processing chili production to increase value. selling, competitiveness and community income. The purpose of this farmer group empowerment activity is to increase public knowledge about the use of Trichoderma which can increase the growth of chili plants, and can also be used as a biological agent to control pests and diseases that often attack chili plants when cultivated. The method used in this activity is socialization and counseling, structured training and direct practice in the field of Trichoderma's influence on the growth and production of chili plants. The results obtained from this activity are that the community can recognize that there are alternative controls that are more environmentally friendly than the use of synthetic pesticides. The public can also gain new understanding regarding the increased growth and yield of chili plants by utilizing the Trichoderma biological agent. So that in the end it can reduce dependence on synthetic pesticides obtained from outside. Therefore, the environment and the balance of the ecosystem in the Nagari Taeh Baruh area are maintained. The conclusion of this activity is that plant growth applied using Trichoderma spp is higher than plants that are not treated with Trichoderma spp (control). The use of Trichoderma spp is highly recommended because besides being easy to obtain, it also provides positive values for plant growth and is good for environmental technology around cultivated plants.

Abstract

Nagari VIII Koto is one of the villages in Guguak District with agriculture as the main economic sector of the community with the main crops of lowland rice and maize. Access to remote provincial and regency capitals is one of the obstacles to economic growth for these regions. There is often a shortage of fertilizers because subsidized fertilizers are lost on the market, making it difficult for farmers to maintain their production. The solutions that can be offered are planting ginger plants that are more resistant to drought, processing agricultural waste into compost, an alternative to reduce dependence on the use of chemical fertilizers, use of biological agents and vegetable pesticides as agents for controlling pests and diseases, and processing ginger production for increase selling value, competitiveness and community income. The purpose of this farmer group empowerment activity is to increase farmers' interest in cultivating ginger well and towards certification of better cultivation (healthy and organic) and processing ginger into instant products independently by the village community. The method used in this activity is socialization and counseling activities. The results obtained from this activity, the community and farmers get new understanding and knowledge about how to cultivate ginger plants properly and correctly and how to process ginger into a higher quality product, have higher competitiveness and will be able to compete in the international arena because of its benefits. many in the world of health. The conclusion of this activity is to increase the understanding of the community, especially farmers in ginger cultivation activities, and increase the interest of farmers in processing ginger into quality products.

Abstract

The Simabur Sukses Makmur farmer group is one of the active farmer groups in the Simabur village which is included in the Pariangan District, Tanah Datar Regency with the main sector only in the agricultural sector with the main crop being lowland rice. The problem that is often faced by Simabur farmers is the problem of pests and diseases which are the cause of the low growth and yield of the lowland rice plant. One of the main components of the IPM program that can be used as a biological control agent is the use of Trichoderma sp indigenous. In addition to the use of biological agents, the system or method of planting also affects the production results of the cultivated plants. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge about the use of Trichoderma sp which can increase the growth and production of rice plants with the jajar legowo system. The method used in this activity is structured training and direct demonstration in the field, which will take place from June to October 2021. The results obtained from this activity are the production of grain weight/plant clump treated with Trichoderma sp is higher than the control with a difference of 42 ,45 grams. The conclusion of this activity is that the growth and yield of plants that were applied with Trichoderma were higher than those that were not treated with Trichoderma (control). The use of Trichoderma is highly recommended because in addition to being easy to obtain, it also provides a positive value for plant growth and is good for environmental technology around cultivated plants.

Abstract

The IAA potentials of endophytic bacteria indigenous isolated from roots palm oil in west Sumatra. Isolate were characterized on the basis of visual observation, gram staining, hypersensitive reaction and IAA producing bacteria. Subsequently, effect on plant growth was tested by nursery palm oil used random design block. Out of 82 isolates, base on gram test 12 isolates were gram negative and 70 isolates grams positive and then results on the reaction hypersensitive test (HR test) there are 8 isolates that positive which means the isolate cannot be applied on the soil and plant. Eighty isolates selected were able to produce IAA that was between ppm 0,30ppm - 3,65ppm. Seven isolates showed clearly the growth promoting plant under field condition. Hence, these isolates are promising plant growth promoting isolates showing multiple attributes that can significantly influence the nursery palm oil. The result of present study, treatment E3.1.2 has higher plant most of the other treatment i.e. 21,93 cm and number of leaves i.e. 4,33 leaves.

Abstract

Rizobakteria pemacu pertumbuhan tanaman merupakan kelompok bakteri yang aktif mengkolonisasi prakaran tanaman dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan, hasil tanaman serta mampu mengendalikan pathogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh isolat rizobakteria yang mampu mengendalikan penyakit layu bakteri dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil kentang. Metode penelitian berdasarkan pada penapisan secara in planta rizobakteria dari tanah perakaran tanaman kentang yang sehat dari daerah endemik penyakit layu bakteri di Kab. Solok, Sumatera Barat. Isolat bakteri rizobakteria yang dikarakterisasi yang mampu menekan penyakit latu bakteri dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan serta hasil umbi. Pemakaian teknik ini memungkinkan untuk menemukan agens hayati yang baru, lebih mudah dan murah. sepuluh isolat bakteri rizobakteri diintroduksi pada benih kentang (108 cfu/ml). Peubah yang diamati adalah insidensi dan severitas penyakit layu bakteri, pertumbuhan dan hasil pada umbi kentang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 2 isolat bakteri rizobakteri dari perakaran kentang (BT12Rz2.1 dan TD4Rz1.1) merupakan isolat terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil umbi kentang dengan efektivitas 20,62% dan 20,47%.

Abstract

Nagari Sungai Durian of Solok District is one of the village that has various problems suchas drought, high number of unused land and the distance of urban access. In the cultivation of foodcrops required a lot of water such as rice, so that productivity is not optimal. For that the selection ofcorn as a cultivation plant is a possible thing because corn plants merupkan food crops that do notrequire much water. But some of the constraints faced when corn plant perspectives are low productivitydue to disruption of pests and diseases and soil less fertile. The solution that can be offered is by plantingcorn crops that are more resistant to drought and the use of rhizobacteria as pest and disease controlagents. In addition to pest and disease control agents, the use of rhizobacteria which also called PGPR(Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) that can increase growth and yield of plants. The purpose ofthis community service program is to provide knowledge to the community in the cultivation of corncrops with the application of rhizobacteria. This activity is done by socialization and demonstrationplot. This activity has been able to educate the general community about farmers about corn cultivationwith rhizobakteri application. From this activity also can be concluded that corn plant with applicationof Rhizobakteri have growth and yield higher than corn plant without application of Rhizobakteri.

Abstract

Kelompok tani Sawah Payo Nagari Gunung Rajo Kecamatan Batipuh, Kabupaten Tanah Datar mempunyai potensi dalam produksi pupuk organik, hal ini didukung oleh sisa hasil pertanianseperti jerami dan gulma tanaman pahitan Tithonia diversifolia, serta limbah peternakan (kotoran hewan) yang melimpah. Pemanfaatan limbah pertanian, tanaman gulma, maupun peternakan masih belum maksimal. Pengolahan limbah pertanian dan peternakan menjadi kompos yang dilakukan oleh sebagian besar petani di Nagari Gunung Rajo belum menggunakan proses fermentasi, sehingga hasil dan kualitasnya kurang maksimal. Tujuan kegiatan pemberdayaan kelompok tani ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan tentang proses pembuatan pupuk organik dari penyedian bahan baku, pembuatan bio-aktivator, dan pengemasan hasil produksi. Metode yang digunakan dengan pelatihan terstruktur dan praktik langsung pembuatan pupuk organik atau yang lebih dikenal dengan kompos. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pemberdayaan ini adalah kelompok tani mampu membuat pupuk organik rizokompos berbahan limbah pertanian, gulma, limbah peternakan dan rizobakteri secara mandiri dengan kualitas hasil produksi yang baik yang mampu meningkatkan hasil pendapatan masyarakat setempat

Abstract

Nagari Sungai Nanam merupakan salah satu nagari di Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti, Kabupaten Solok dengan pertanian sebagai sektor ekonomi utama yaitu budidaya tanaman bawang merah. Tanaman bawang merah memiliki potensi pengembangan yang sangat baik. Permintaan pasar akan komoditi tanaman bawang merah cenderung meningkat setiap tahunnya berkaitan dengan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk. Tujuan dari kegiatan pemberdayaan kelompok tani ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan juga informasi megenai cara peningkatan produksi tanaman bawang merah nagari sungai nanam dengan cara yang efektif dan efisien melalui pemanfaatan bakteri Bacillus spp dan Trichoderma spp. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi survei pendahuluan pendekatan sosial, penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pembuatan demplot. Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat khususnya kelompok tani Padang Laweh, Nagari Sungai Nanam. Antusias dan partisipasi masyarakat sangat menunjuang keberhasilan dalam kegiatan ini. Pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi terbaik di dapatkan pada perlakuan dengan penggunaan bakteri Bacillus spp. Dalam penerapan teknologi menggunakan bakteri Bacillus spp dan Trichoderma spp ini sangat membantu percepatan pertumbuhan tanaman bawang merah dibandingkan dengan yang biasa ditanam masyarakat tanpa menggunakan perlakuan. Penggunaan bakteri Bacillus spp ini sangat disarankan karena selain mudah untuk di dapatkan juga memberikan nilai yang positif terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman dan baik untuk lingkungan sekitar tanaman budidaya.
