Abstract

As a top manager, of course the role of the school principal in managing and improving teacher competence cannot be ignored. The principal has a very significant role in creating a learning environment and can support, motivate and encourage teachers to continue to develop their abilities. Starting from preparing relevant professional programs to applying technology to innovative education. In carrying out their role, school principals must also be able to overcome obstacles or problems such as (SD) limited resources, resistance to change, and dynamics that are said to be complex in educational institutions. Collaboration with teachers, parents and the surrounding community is an important key in creating a holistic and sustainable educational ecosystem. This type of research is qualitative with a library research approach. The collection of literature related to the above theme can be classified into two. Firstly, primary sources (primary sources) and secondly secondary sources (secondary sources).

Abstract

Welding technology has significantly developed in the industrial sector along with advances in manufacturing technology. The demand for joining methods combining dissimilar metals is increasing in the industrial sector. However, joining dissimilar metals is challenging because of differences in physical and mechanical properties. Continuous drive friction welding is a solid-state joining method widely used to join dissimilar metals. The research aimed to determine the effect of variations in friction pressure on the mechanical properties of continuous drive friction welding joints with dissimilar materials, Aluminum 6061 T6 and Stainless Steel 304. The process parameters used in this welding were the friction pressures used were 30 MPa, 35 MPa, and 45 MPa. The friction time is 2 seconds, the rotation speed is 1000 rpm, and the upset pressure is 50 MPa. Then, welded joints were evaluated for Vickers microhardness and microstructure observations. Based on the research results, it shows that the temperature distribution and microstructure results show that there is a change in the hardness value of the aluminum material. In contrast, the 304 stainless steel material experiences an insignificant change in the hardness value.

Abstract

Kecamatan Selayar memiliki potensi perikanan akuakultur yang besar. Potensi perikanan akuakultur yang besar tersebut harus ditunjang oleh kemampuan sumber daya manusianya yang terampil mengolah bahan baku pakan lokal menjadi pakan buatan yang nantinya dapat menekan biaya produksi ikan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan metode pembuatan pakan ikan kepada kelompok pembudidaya lokal di Kecamatan Selayar, Kabupaten Lingga. Tim PkM memperkenalkan teknologi screw press yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam proses mencetak pakan berbentuk pelet secara mandiri. Tim juga memperkenalkan penggunaan berbagai bahan tambahan seperti tepung ikan, tepung jagung, tepung terigu, dan premix vitamin yang diperlukan untuk melakukan formulasi nutrisi pakan buatan. Keterampilan ini adalah aspek teknis yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat agar mampu memproduksi pakan ikan yang berkualitas sesuai kebutuhan nutrisi ikan yang dibudidayakan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui rangkaian kegiatan survei lokasi, pelatihan dan diskusi, hingga praktek lapangan pembuatan pakan berbentuk pelet menggunakan mesin screw press. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon yang sangat baik dari masyarakat, terutama dari kelompok pembudidaya ikan setempat.

Abstract

The community in Pedukuhan Bakung, Yogyakarta, faces challenges in managing used cooking oil waste, which is often improperly disposed of, leading to environmental pollution. This community service program aimed to address this issue by empowering local youth through training on converting used cooking oil into valuable products. The training was attended by 10 youths from Pedukuhan Bakung, who gained an understanding of the environmental impacts of used cooking oil and practical skills in producing aromatherapy candles from purified used cooking oil. The program included socialization on the environmental impacts of used cooking oil, demonstrations of the purification process, and hands-on practice in making aromatherapy candles. Based on questionnaire evaluations, the program achieved an average success rate of 89.5%, with material clarity and direct benefits rated at 92.5%. Participants gave the highest rating of 95% for gaining new insights, reflecting the program's success in enhancing understanding of the circular economy. However, participants’ motivation to utilize used cooking oil as a valuable product still requires improvement, with a score of 85%. The training results demonstrated a significant increase in participants' environmental awareness and skills, as well as new economic opportunities through the utilization of used cooking oil. Several participants expressed interest in independently producing aromatherapy candles as an additional business opportunity. Follow-up training focusing on product diversification and marketing strategies is recommended to maximize the economic impact. This program successfully integrated environmental and economic aspects within the circular economy concept, providing the potential for sustainable benefits for the community.

Abstract

Tahun 2019 merupakan tahun dimana semua aspek kehidupan mengalami perubahan, pada penghujung tahun terjadi pandemi yang disebut Covid-19 yang melanda semua negara, dampak pendemi ini membuat banyak pihak melakukan perubahan dan mencari solusi untuk keluar dari situasi ini, salah satu yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan cara mengkonsumsi makanan sehat. Tujuan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk mengenalkan makanan sehat produk perikanan pada siswa Sekolah Dasar sebagai cikal bakal generasi tangguh Covid-19 di Desa Pengujan Kabupaten Bintan. Target dari sosialisasi ini adalah siswa-siswi Sekolah Dasar dengan harapan dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran untuk mengkonsumsi makanan sehat dari produk perikanan. Permasalahan yang ditemukan di lapangan yaitu kurangnya informasi kepada siswa Sekolah Dasar mengenai makanan sehat yang dapat membantu meningkatkan imunitas dan Kesehatan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan tentang keamanan produk perikanan serta pengaruhnya terhadap kesehatan. Berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan terhadap siswa Sekolah Dasar, adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa setelah mendapatkan materi tentang makanan yang sehat untuk anak usia sekolah dasar dan mengetahui perilaku hidup sehat yang baik selama masa pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Sea cucumbers are members of the Phylum Echinodermata which have high economic value and widely used by the coastal communities of the Riau Islands as food sources and medicines. Unregulated fishing greatly pressure sea cucumber populations in natural waters. Aquculture is regarded as a solution to the over-exploitation of sea cucumbers from natural waters. However, further research is needed to establish the better technical and economic efficiency. Local sea cucumber farmer needs information about the technical aspects of sea cucumber seed production so they can produce the seeds independently. Therefore, a series of dissemination and demonstrations were organized to introduce the method of produce sea cucumber seeds using the fission technique. This community service activity was carried out using the participatory action research (PAR) method involving the Maju Mandiri fish farmer group in Kampung Madong, Kampung Bugis Village, Tanjungpinang City. The team carried out counseling and demonstrated the binding procedure to simulate fission in sea cucumber. Our partner group seemed enthusiastic about participating in the activity and quite proficient on some basic fission techniques to provide sea cucumber seeds. This activity also raises awareness among the locals to actively maintain the sustainability of marine resources. So, we hope our partner group can start the sea cucumber culture business with independent seed production, and they can achieve our goals to improving community welfare and preserving the water environment simultaneously.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan boikot produk di kalangan ibu rumah tangga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap 15 ibu rumah tangga yang berusia antara 25 hingga 50 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman pribadi, nilai dan keyakinan, kualitas produk, dampak lingkungan dan sosial, serta pengaruh keluarga dan teman merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi keputusan boikot. Selain itu, media sosial berperan penting sebagai sumber informasi yang meningkatkan kesadaran tentang isu-isu sosial dan politik. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi pemangku kepentingan dalam memahami perilaku konsumen dan merancang strategi yang lebih efektif dalam merespons isu-isu sosial yang kompleks.

Abstract

In the present study, Cu films were made over Al alloy using the electrodeposition technique. Electrodeposition conducted at various currents (80, 100, and 120 mA), with and without influence by a rotating magnetic field (100 rpm of rotation). 0.5 M CuSO4 + 20 mL of H2SO4 was used for electrolyte solutions. The sample before and after electrodeposition was weighed using digital scale to calculate deposition rate and current efficiency. All formed Cu films were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy equipped with Energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), and Potentiostat apparatus. Furthermore, antibacterial activity using Staphylococcus aureus was also investigated. Increasing the current of electrodeposition leads to an increase in deposition rate and current efficiency for both conditions (with and without rotating magnetic field influence). Based on the XRD and ATR-FTIR investigation, Cu was successfully deposited onto Al surface. Currents used for the electrodeposition process between 80-100 mA would result in a faceted structure, while using 120 mA results near to spheroidal. Shifting to higher currents leads to decreases in grain sizes and presenting a rotating magnetic field also enhances the grain size. Current and rotating magnetic influences are not linearly influencing corrosion potential, corrosion rate and antibacterial activity. The sample made using higher current plus influencing with a rotating magnetic field has less corrosion rate and higher area of inhibition at around 0.808 mmpy and 4.01 cm2.

Abstract

Ketersediaan informasi di universitas menjadi suatu hal yang sangat penting karena memiliki andil dalam menentukan kegiatan, baik itu untuk kepentingan individu atau kelompok. Oleh karena itu, perancangan aplikasi berbasis web sistem berbagi informasi “UNS Sharing” bertujuan untuk mempermudah mahasiswa UNS dalam memperoleh informasi, dimana sistem ini menggunakan metode waterfall dalam proses pengembangannya. Aplikasi berbasis web ini memiliki 2 pengguna utama, yaitu admin dan mahasiswa, dimana admin bertugas sebagai pemberi informasi yang disediakan, sedangkan mahasiswa sebagai pihak yang menerima informasi tersebut. Hasil rancangan aplikasi berbasis web ini mengelompokkan informasi berdasarkan prodi, sehingga informasi yang diterima mahasiswa akan lebih tertata dan juga bisa melihat informasi dari prodi lain apabila diperlukan.
