Abstract

Silk worms is commonly used as natural feed for larval on fish hatchery. Cultivating silk worms requires a substrate as well as a feed source to support their growth. Fermented quail manure, tofu waste, and tapioca flour can be utilized as cultivation media for silk worms. This activity aims to apply the use of fermented quail manure, and tofu dreg, and tapioca flour on the growth of silk worms at Unit Pembenihan Rakyat D5 Suka Pindah Village, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. This activity is community service through extension and silk worm culture using media from fermented quail manure and tofu dregs. Silk worm cultivation was carried out using a closed-flow water system with two containers, one for fermented media and one for non-fermented media. Silk worms 150 g m-3 were stocked and reared for 30 days. The results obtained from community extension are an increase in understanding of the target audience from quite good to good and very good. The result of the silk worm culture demonstration plot show that absolute biomass growth in the fermented media at 588.80 g m-2 compared to non-fermented media at 440.00 g m-2 Therefore, fish farmers can apply silk worm culture with fermented media to be able to provide natural feed of fish, independently.

Abstract

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of phytase supplemented to the diet on phosphorus (P) digestibility and growth performance of the green catfish Hemibagrus nemurus. Five kinds of experimental diets were used in this experiment, namely diets A, B, C, D and E. Diet A, as a control, was supplemented with inorganic P, without phytase supplementation. Diet B, C, D and E were supplemented with 0, 20, 40 and 60 mg phytase/100 g soybean meal (SBM), respectively, without inorganic P supplementation. Fifteen fish with initial body weight of 6.9 + 0.2 g were stocked into each 60-l aquarium. Fish were fed on the diets for 60 days. Results indicated that P digestibility increased from 64.5% to 87.0% as phytase supplement increased from 0 mg in diet B to 60 mg phytase/100 g SBM in diet E. P digestibility in diet E was higher than that in diet A (77.6%). The daily growth rate and feed conversion ratio followed similar trend. P, Calcium (Ca) and Zinc (Zn) concentration in the whole body and bone of fish fed diet E were higher than the fish fed diet B, C and D, but were insignificant compared to the fish fed diet A. Nitrogen (N) and P loading by fish fed diet E were, respectively, 76% and 20% lower than those in fish fed the control diet. It is concluded that the inclusion of 60 mg phytase/100 g SBM in the diet of the green catfish could replace the utilization of inorganic P increase the digestibility of the diet thereby resulting in increased growth rate and reduced excretion of P and N into the waters. Abstract

Measurement of height and weight, it is needed especially for school age 5-15 years old. From the results of monitoring height and weight measurements, we can monitor whether the child is underweight or overweight and obese. We can also monitor the growth of elementary school age children. The problem faced is that monitoring the growth of children in schools cannot be carried out effectively. This is because the process of measuring children's height and weight is done manually and of course it takes time for the process, besides that, data on student height and weight are also recorded still manually, so that data processing and utilization is not optimal. The purpose of making this Automatic Height and Weight Measurement Integrated Database System to process of measuring height and weight can be done effectively and efficiently, so it can produce integrated information in Database. The existence of an integrated database will make it easier for related parties to recap and archive children's data and store history of children's growth as material for evaluating and monitoring child growth. The results of this evaluation can be used as a reference for follow-up to be conducted. The resulting output is information in the form of tables and graphs of children's growth. In this research using the prototyping method which aims to get an overview of the tool to be designed and built, then it will be evaluated by the user. The evaluated prototype will be used as a reference to make a tool as the final product as the output of this research.

Sasanti & Yulisman. 2012. Growth and Persistence of Snakehead Fry Treated with Feed from Snail Flour. JLSO 1(2):158-162. An experiment was conducted to observe the effects of feed from snail flour on the growth and survival rate of snakehead fish (Channa striata)fry. There were three treatments, each had three replications, stocked with 20 fry. The three diets treatments were artificial feed A with 35% snail flour, artificial feed B with 40% snail flour and artificial feed C with 45% snail flour. Snail flour was made from Pomacea sp. Survival and growth rate of fry were not significantly different among the three different treatments.

Abstract

Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) D5 Desa Sukapindah berdiri sejak tahun 2019 yang dengan komoditas produksi utama berupa benih ikan lele sangkuriang. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan ikan adalah melalui optimalisasi kualitas air sesuai kebutuhan fisiologis ikan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mengimplementasikan penggunaan air bersalinitas pada pemeliharaan benih ikan lele. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan, peragaan, pendampingan teknis melalui penempatan mahasiswa Praktek Lapang dan demplot pemeliharaan ikan. Berdasarkan kuisioner umpan balik pada peserta, materi penyuluhan dan peragaan dinilai telah disampaikan dengan jelas (93%), difahami (87%) dan bermanfaat (87%) oleh khalayak sasaran. Peserta terlibat aktif dalam diskusi dan mengharapkan keberlanjutan program pengabdian Masyarakat ini. Demplot berupa kolam pemeliharaan benih ikan lele yang diberi dua perlakuan, yaitu media air bersalinitas 0 ppt (K0) dan 4 ppt (K1). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa ikan yang dipelihara pada media dengan salinitas 4 ppt (K1) memiliki laju pertumbuhan spesifik (sebesar 1,40%/hari untuk panjang dan 3,93%/hari untuk bobot) yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan 0 ppt (K0) (sebesar 1,30%/hari untuk panjang dan 3,70%/hari untuk bobot). Kelangsungan hidup ikan 100% pada ikan yang dipelihara pada salinitas 0 ppt dan 4 ppt. Kualitas air meliputi suhu (26,8-28,6oC), pH (6-7), daya hantar listrik (189-375 μS cm-1), dan amonia (0,03-0,07 mg L-1) masih dalam kisaran optimal untuk ikan lele.

Abstract

During peak load conditions, significant voltage drops are observed in the Dumai transmission subsystem. The minimum voltages recorded at the Dumai, Bagan Siapi-api, and Dumai Industrial Area substations are 134.7 kV, 133.0 kV, and 131.1 kV, respectively, exceeding the permissible voltage deviation limits. To mitigate this condition, a shunt capacitor is designed and evaluated through modeling and simulation. Analytical and DigSILENT PowerFactory 2021 simulation results indicate that a 25 MVAR shunt capacitor installed at the Bagan Siapi-api Substation provides the most suitable compensation. The installation increases the bus voltage by 8.10 kV to 141.10 kV, corresponding to a voltage deviation of 5.93% from the nominal value. Furthermore, total system losses in the Riau subsystem are reduced from 20.63 MW and −352.8 MVAR to 19.88 MW and −366.8 MVAR, or reduction 0,75 MW. These results confirm that shunt capacitor integration effectively improves voltage profiles while reducing reactive power flow and system losses.Keywords: shunt capacitor, substation, voltage drop, DIgSILENT PowerFactory 2021, voltage improvement, system losses

Abstract

Motor PAF 3 fasa, 6 kV merupakan salah satu motor induksi yang digunakan di PLTU Teluk Sirih untuk menghasilkan tekanan udara yang masuk ke ruang bakar (boiler). Pada Unit 1 PLTU Teluk Sirih terdapat 2 buah motor PAF. Motor PAF dalam perubahan beban harian mengalami perubahan pada kinerja Motor seperti : Daya masukan, Daya reaktif, Daya keluaran dan Torsi motor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji dan melihat kinerja Motor PAF 3 fasa, 6 kV terhadap perubahan beban harian pada saat perfomance test pembangkit. Dari hasil analisa diperoleh bahwa semakin bertambahnya beban pembangkit maka daya masukan, daya keluaran dan Torsi motor juga naik dimana pada jam 18.00 beban pembangkit 95 MW untuk PAF A didapat daya masukan tertinggi 961,2918 kW, daya keluaran 915,1498 kW, daya reaktif 459,2839 KVAR dan torsi motor 5864,165 Nm, untuk PAF B  didapat pada jam 18.00 beban pembangkit 95 MW dengan daya masukan tertinggi 957,3682 kW, daya keluaran 911,4145 kW, daya reaktif 457,4092 KVAR dan torsi motor 5840,229 Nm.Kata kunci : Motor Induksi, Daya dan Torsi Motor

Abstract

Susut energi non teknis merupakan salah satu kendala utama dalam distribusi tenaga listrik yang berdampak pada kerugian finansial perusahaan. Salah satu penyebab utama susut non teknis adalah penggunaan kWh meter rusak meliputi buram atau macet, sehingga energi yang dikonsumsi pelanggan tidak terukur secara akurat. Penelitian ini menganalisa pengaruh penggantian kWh meter rusak terhadap penurunan persentase susut energi non teknis dan menghitung potensi penyelamatan energi (kWh) di wilayah kerja UP3 Solok. Program penggantian kWh meter ini efektif memberikan saving energy untuk PT  PLN (Persero) UP3 SolokKata kunci : kWh Meter Rusak, Susut Non Teknis, Optimalisasi, PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Solok, Penyelamatan Energi.

Abstract

Sekolah Tahfiz Plus Khoiru Ummah Palembang merupakan institusi pendidikan berbasis agama dengan penyediaan kelas reguler, anak berkebutuhan khusus, dan kelas sore bagi masyarakat yang kurang mampu. Pihak sekolah dan masyarakat di sekitarnya sudah mulai memanfaatkan lahan yang tersedia untuk budidaya ikan khususnya ikan lele, namun produksinya belum optimal. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mereka, satu diantaranya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan tentang teknis budidaya ikan terutama dalam manajemen pakan. Dalam budidaya ikan, manajemen pakan sangat diperlukan agar pakan yang digunakan efisien untuk pertumbuhan, karena biaya operasional produksinya terbesar berasal dari biaya pakan. Penambahan bahan herbal terbukti mampu meningkatkan status kesehatan ikan dan pencernaan pakan sehingga nutrien pakan dapat terabsorpsi dengan baik yang digunakan untuk pertumbuhan. Oleh sebab itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui pelatihan manajemen pakan yang memanfaatkan bahan herbal yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi ikan lele yang dibudidaya dengan pakan yang efisien. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah metode demonstrasi, yang terdiri atas tiga tahap. Tahap pertama adalah penyampaian materi, tahap kedua adalah praktek aplikasi bahan herbal pada pakan, dan tahap ketiga adalah evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan kuesioner pada awal dan akhir kegiatan (pre dan post-test). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang jenis-jenis bahan herbal, manfaat bahan herbal, tahap-tahap pembuatan bahan herbal, dan metode pencampuran bahan herbal pada pakan ikan.
