Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the knowledge, attitudes, and compliance with antiretroviral (ARV) antidotes among HIV patients at the Central Bangka Regional General Hospital. Research Methodology: This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The technique for selecting respondents was a non-probability sampling technique, purposive sampling. Nine informants participated in 9 people. Data were collected using an in-depth interview guide. Results: Findings from the research show that several informants had insufficient knowledge about compliance in taking ARV antidotes. Even though the informants' attitude towards compliance with antiretroviral (ARV) antiretrovirals was relatively good, several key informants stated that they had stopped taking antiretroviral (ARV) antidotes for several months because they felt healthy. However, several months later, they experienced adverse effects that resulted in declining health. Conclusions: The study concludes that Inadequate knowledge and misconceptions about ARV therapy remain significant obstacles to sustained adherence. Strengthening education, family involvement, and consistent supervision are essential for enhancing compliance and improving health outcomes for people living with HIV. Limitations: The study was limited to a small number of participants from a single hospital, which restricts broader generalization. Contribution: This research provides practical insights for healthcare providers and policymakers to design targeted interventions, improve supervision, and foster cross-program collaboration to ensure consistent ARV adherence among patients with HIV, ultimately supporting public health goals in HIV management.

Abstract

The rural woman is a valuable human resource, especially in fulfilling the economic functions of the family and the home alongside males. In rural families, women perform not only a reproductive but also a productive and social role. This research is original because it examines the contribution of women in rural areas, particularly in villages with local potentials, such as river and swamp fish. Women transform fish into crackers, which they sell to increase the family’s income. This study examines rural women’s contribution to the fish crackers business. The qualitative research was conducted in Tebing Gerinting Village, South Indralaya Sub-district, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. Data collection technique involving in-depth interviews with the informant. Using qualitative analysis methods, the collected data were analyzed. Women perform a variety of roles in the production of crackers fish, including dough preparation, crackers fish formation, boiling, drying/drying process, roasting, packaging, and sales. Fish crackers are a commercially produced item that incorporates the contributions of women. Women in the manufacturing crackers fish business have difficulty finding laborers. There is no business capital because the raw materials for making fish crackers are supplied by fixed-supply agents. The agents of the fish were from Palembang, while the agents of tapioca flour were from Lampung. All family members are involved in the marketing of fish crackers. They sold to the market in Tanjung Raja, Indralaya, and even to outside areas such as Pendopo, Kayuagung, Komering, Sungai Pinang, Ketapang, Tanjung Enim, Lahat, Prabumulih, Palembang and up to outside the cities, such as Lampung. Additionally, they sell fish crackers on the road next to their home. The contribution of women to economically productive activities can ensure the survival and growth of venture fish crackers. It can increase their family’s nutritional security.

Abstract

This research is important because purun crafts have become a livelihood strategy for women to earn income that fulfills the family’s food needs based on local wisdom. In addition, making crafts from purun socially provides a space for women to meet and share stories, thus reducing stress. This research aims to examine the presence of female Purun (Eleocharis dulcis) artisans in villages around peatland, specifically investigating three key areas: gender-based division of labor, the role of Purun in livelihood strategies, and the social-psychological benefits of making Purun crafts, namely stress reduction. The method used is qualitative-descriptive. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results show that in the production of purun crafts, there is a division of labor based on gender, where women are involved in crafting and household tasks. In contrast, men gather purun materials in the swamp areas. Women play an important role in earning income through Purun crafts, which are used to meet basic needs such as food and education. The activity of making purun crafts enhances the social cohesion of women in the community. This shows that Purun crafts are important in the economy, maintaining social cohesion within the community and the psychosocial health of women involved in Purun weaving.
