Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the regulatory framework in ensuring the halal status of products in Indonesia during the postmarket phase. The primary focus is to evaluate the role of Halal Product Assurance (Jaminan Produk Halal/JPH) supervisors in maintaining compliance with halal standards after certification, including during distribution and sales. The methodology employed is normative legal analysis, utilizing legislative, conceptual, and historical approaches. Research data include key regulations, training materials, and relevant implementation reports. The findings reveal that although Indonesia's halal regulations, such as Law No. 33 of 2014, provide a robust legal foundation, postmarket supervision faces challenges, including limited resources, inter-agency coordination issues, and gaps in implementation. The training of JPH supervisors is identified as a strategic initiative with promising potential to enhance supervision effectiveness, mainly through technology-based programs like Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). However, challenges in integrating supervision into the existing regulatory framework remain unresolved. This study underscores the importance of strengthening continuous supervision mechanisms during the postmarket phase to ensure the halal status of products throughout their lifecycle. Thus, postmarket supervision is a technical issue and a moral responsibility aligned with Islamic law principles.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the assurance of halal products in Indonesia, particularly within the context of Islamic law in the postmarket phase. The study focuses on understanding how existing regulations are capable of providing legal protection for Muslim consumers and ensuring the halal status of products throughout the entire distribution process, from production to consumption. The method used is normative research with a legislative approach, a conceptual approach, and a historical approach. This research examines various regulations related to halal product assurance, including the Halal Product Assurance Law and other related regulations, and analyzes the consistency and implementation of these regulations within the context of Islamic law. The findings of the research indicate that although Indonesia has strong enough regulations to ensure the halal status of products, implementation in the postmarket phase still faces significant challenges. The monitoring of products already circulating in the market has not been fully effective, and there are gaps in the synchronization of existing regulations. From the perspective of Islamic law, halal assurance must cover the entire product life cycle, and therefore, more proactive monitoring and better synergy among related institutions are needed to ensure the sustainability of halal products in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) phenomenon on impulsive buying behavior among Muslim Gen Z in the digital era. Muslim consumers from Generation Z face a unique challenge in balancing the desire to remain socially relevant with Islamic principles that emphasize simplicity and self-control. The method used is qualitative with a case study design. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with Muslim Gen Z respondents in Ambon City who experience FOMO and exhibit impulsive buying tendencies. Secondary data were obtained from relevant scientific literature and other sources that support the research context. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction techniques, narrative and visual data presentation, and verification to ensure the validity of the findings. The study results indicate that FOMO plays a significant role in driving impulsive buying behavior among Muslim Gen Z, with intensity influenced by social media exposure and social norms. However, religiosity levels also influence respondents in controlling their impulsive tendencies. Respondents with higher religiosity levels tend to be more critical of consumerist impulses, although some still feel social pressure to follow trends.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the preferences of MSME consumers in Ambon City toward working capital and investment financing provided by Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS). Amid competition with conventional banks, BUS holds significant potential to offer financing aligned with Sharia values, though it has yet to become the primary choice for many business owners. This study identifies the factors influencing MSMEs' decisions to choose BUS, deemed relevant for the development of the MSME sector in Ambon City. The research method used is a qualitative approach involving in-depth interviews and participatory observation with MSME actors in Ambon City. Through thematic analysis, data is processed to explore perceptions, experiences, and factors influencing MSMEs' choice of Sharia financing. The results show that MSMEs' preference for BUS is driven by adherence to Sharia principles, the flexibility of profit-sharing schemes, and ease in requirements and application processes. The profit-sharing scheme implemented by BUS provides advantages in terms of flexible payments adjusted to business income, especially for businesses with fluctuating cash flows. Additionally, guidance from BUS in investment planning offers significant added value for MSMEs in long-term business development.
