Abstract

Training on the integration of research and Community Service (Pkm) into courses aims to provide additional competencies to lecturers in preparing Semester Learning Plans (RPS). The subject of service was a Lecturer at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar as many as 8 participants with representatives from several study programs in the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire that is distributed through a google form. Training on the integration of research and Community Service (Pkm) into this course is very in line with the needs of participants, namely in this case lecturers in preparing a Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and covering the entire content of the training theme. Training participants have an understanding in applying the integration of research and Community Service (Pkm) to courses and of course provide great benefits. This training is expected to be able to give birth to a guideline for the integration of research and PkM.

Abstract

Students' learning motivation is the driving force they have and provides energy to carry out learning activities so that the continuity of learning can be directed and the desired goals can be realized. The purpose of this study was to describe the learning motivation of students in class XI IPA SMAN in the Sinjai Regency. This type of research is a descriptive survey with a population of 1267 students and a sample of 616 students taken by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used is a student learning motivation questionnaire that has met the valid and reliable criteria with the measured aspects being diligent in facing tasks, tenacious in facing difficulties, showing interest, and being able to defend their opinions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the learning motivation of students in class XI IPA SMAN in the Sinjai Regency there are 179 (29.1%) students in the medium category and 437 (70.9%) students in the high category. The results of the analysis indicate that the dominant learning motivation of students is in the high category which is certainly influenced by many factors.

Abstract

This study focused on students' learning outcomes from SMAN 2 in Bulukumba, who taught with magic cards media and twister games media, and the differences between the two. This quasi-experimental research has a pretest-posttest control group design. The test instrument used in this study consisted of 25 multiple-choice questions. The results showed that students who taught using magic card media were in the high category (57.14%) and very high category (42.86%). The students who taught using the twister game media were in the medium category (8.70%), high (56.52%), and very high (34.78%). According to the independent sample t-test, there was a significant level of 0.089 > 0.05. This indicates that there is no significant difference in learning outcomes between learners who taught using magic cards and learners who taught using game twister media.

Abstract

This research is included in the type of research and development or Research and Development (R&D) based on the ADDIE development model which consists of five steps, namely Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. This study aims to develop learning media, determine the level of validity, level of practicality and level of effectiveness of media. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Takalar class XI Science 1 which amounted to 30 students. Media validity of 3.80 with very valid category. The practicality of the media obtained through teacher responses is 95.31% and student responses are 85.18% with very practical categories. Of the 30 total students, 27 of them obtained scores that were in accordance with the KKM target (90%) and 3 of them obtained scores that did not meet the KKM target (10%). The pretest score of students obtained is 28.13 while the posttest value is 81.33, so that the average N-gain score obtained by students is 0.72 and is in the category (0.7 g ≤ 1), it can be said that the increase in student learning outcomes is high.

Abstract

Adanya kebiasaan penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran yang hanya berpusat pada guru membuat aktifitas belajar siswa di SMAN 1 Tinondo menjadi kurang aktif. Upaya penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa perlu dilakukan. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan adalah pendekatan contextual teaching and learning (CTL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan CTL terhadap partisipasi belajar biologi siswa SMAN 1 Tinondo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimental. Sebanyak 29 orang siswa dalam satu kelas ditetapkan sebagai sampel penelitian yang diperoleh melalui teknik totally sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi partisipasi belajar yang berisi 8 item pengamatan. Data dianalisis menggunakan paired sample-t test. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan persentase partisipasi sebelum perlakukan sebesar 39,6% dan saat perlakuan sebesar 72,3%. Dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 0,05. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif penerapan  pendekatan CTL terhadap partisipasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process is faced with the challenge of low student learning outcomes. Contributing factors include misconceptions, difficulties in understanding science material, and a lack of learning models that actively involve students. Other factors such as time constraints, a lack of problem-solving stimulation, and other internal factors also affect students' critical thinking abilities and learning outcomes. The purpose of this study, to know: (1) critical thinking of students taught using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on excretory system material class VIII SMPN 23 Makassar, (2) learning outcomes of student taught using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on excretory system material class VIII SMPN 23 Makassar, (3) critical thinking taught without using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on exretory system material class VIII SMPN 23 Makassar, (4) learning outcomes of students thaught without using the predict-observe-explain (POE) learning model on excretory system material class VIII SMPN 23 Makassar,(5) the effect of Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on critical thinking of students on excretory system material class VIII SMPN 23 Makassar, (6) the effect of Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on student learning outcomes on excretory system material class VIII SMPN 23 Makassar.This study used a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design research design. The population in the study was two hundred and ninety-one students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 23 Makassar. There were a total of 86 people surveyed: 44 participated in the control group and 42 in the experimental class group. Sample determination was done by purposive sampling. The tools used as data collection are in the form of observation sheets, critical thinking ability tests and learning outcomes tests. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and inferential analysis which includes homogeneity test, hypothesis testing and normality. The results showed that in critical thinking and student learning outcomes with a Sign value a 0.001. So that in this study there is a significant difference between critical thinking and learning outcomes of students taught without using the predict-observe-explain (POE) learning model and using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on excretory system material class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Makassar.

Abstract

Bulukumba Regency is one of the administrative districts in South Sulawesi. The aim of this research is to increase students' ecological awareness by introducing the concept of a living pharmacy which emphasizes maintaining plants that are beneficial for health, the environment and the use of empty land and to introduce and inform about the processing of unused organic waste into liquid fertilizer that is beneficial for plants (Ecoenzyme). This research also aims to measure the effectiveness of using ecoenzymes in increasing plant productivity. In this research, testing and analysis methods were used for natural enzymes produced from organic materials and methods for identifying medicinal plants.

Abstract

Lowita Beach is an area where many turtle species are found. Local people hunt and trade turtle meat and eggs. The aim of this activity is to participate in turtle conservation activities at Lowita Beach, Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. The method used in the activity was to take part in turtle activities managed by the Lima Putra Pesisir community at Lowita Beach, Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. Indicators of the effectiveness of turtle conservation activities can be seen from the implementation of activities in the form of; beach monitoring with patrols, egg origin, hatching success, turtle breeding and hatchling release. Steps for olive ridley turtle conservation activities include; 1) opening, 2) presentation of material by the Five Coastal Sons Community, 3) patrol on Lowita beach, 4) releasing turtles on Lowita beach, 5) cleaning of Lowita beach. Activities that have been carried out in turtle conservation are 1) observing eggs being incubated on special land, 2) obtaining turtle conservation materials by the Lima Putra Pesisir Community, 3) carrying out patrols on Lowita beach to save eggs from humans, monitor lizards and dogs, 4) releasing turtles on the beach in the morning from 07.00 – 08.00 WITA.
