Abstract

A strategic business location that is close to the target market is one of the factors that researchers believe can influence consumer purchasing decisions. This close location will make consumers decide to purchase, be satisfied, and communicate with other consumers to encourage enthusiastic other consumers to share purchasing decisions with producers who have sales points in strategic locations. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the influence of business location and word of mouth on consumer purchasing decisions. This research is quantitative research with an explanatory approach that uses a questionnaire method in collecting data. The questionnaire was distributed to Indomaret and Alfamart consumers spread throughout Indonesia with the criteria of having shopped at least 3 times. The questionnaire contains statements of agree, strongly agree, disagree, strongly disagree, and neither agree nor the same on the 16 question items asked. The result thi research show the Business Location variable can have a positive relationship and a significant influence on Purchasing Decisions because the P-Values value is positive and is below the significance level of 0.036. This is in line with the researcher's statement and the direction of the questionnaire questions above which shows that a strategic business location can increase purchasing decisions because it is easy to reach, close, and does not take a lot of time. Thus, the first researcher's hypothesis and beliefs can be justified and accepted. Apart from that, the results of the second research hypothesis and beliefs also show the same results if the Word of Mouth variable has a positive relationship and a significant influence on Perchase Decision because the P-Values value is positive and is below the 0.05 significance level, namely 0.029. It is reasoned that word of mouth or word of mouth communication between consumers can increase purchasing decisions and enthusiasm between consumers. Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of green product quality, green brand image, green satisfaction, and green trust on green consumer loyalty. It also investigates the mediating role of green satisfaction in the relationship between green product quality, brand image, trust, and consumer loyalty. Employing a quantitative approach, the research focuses on consumers of The Body Shop beauty products in D.I. Yogyakarta. Primary data were collected through questionnaires from 160 respondents and analyzed using SEM SmartPLS. Findings reveal that a green brand image has a significant influence on both green satisfaction and green consumer loyalty. Green satisfaction likewise has a significant positive effect on green consumer loyalty. Additionally, green trust has a significant impact on green satisfaction. However, the effects of green trust on consumer loyalty, as well as green product quality on both satisfaction and loyalty, were found to be insignificant. Further analysis reveals that green satisfaction mediates the relationships between green brand image and consumer loyalty, as well as between green trust and consumer loyalty. Conversely, green satisfaction does not mediate the effect of green product quality on consumer loyalty. These results suggest that while brand image and trust enhance loyalty through satisfaction, product quality alone does not have a significant mediated impact on loyalty

Abstract

Climate services and climate change adaptation practices are increasingly recognized as essential for supporting smallholder farmers. Despite numerous studies on climate impacts and adaptation strategies, limited systematic evidence exists on how climate services and adaptation interventions influence farming practices across regions. This study addresses the gap through a systematic literature review of Scopus-indexed publications over the past decade. Using the PRISMA approach, 1981 articles were screened, with 31 meeting the eligibility criteria. Of these, 23 focused on adaptation interventions and 8 on climate services. Geographically, 30 studies were concentrated in tropical regions Africa (n =16) and in Asia (n=14), while one study was outside the tropics. Findings show that climate information strongly supports the adoption of adaptation strategies (>60%), especially in technological interventions such as Climate-Smart Agriculture, ecosystem management, irrigation, and climate risk reduction. In terms of service delivery, basic climate service provision demonstrated greater effectiveness (80%) compared to advisory-based agricultural services (40%). Socio-demographic factors, particularly education and age, consistently influenced farmers’ decision-making in adopting both climate services and adaptation practices. Overall, this review highlights the need for more integrated approaches that explicitly connect climate services with adaptation interventions. Strengthening these linkages is especially critical in tropical regions, where smallholder farmers remain highly vulnerable to climate variability and long-term climate change risks.

Abstract

This study evaluated the effectiveness of several calcium compounds in the saponification of lemuru fish (Sardinella lemuru) oil to produce protected fat supplements for ruminants. Four calcium sources—Ca (OH)₂, CaCO₃, CaCO₃·MgCO₃ (dolomite), and CaSO₄ (gypsum)—were tested using a completely randomized design with five replications. The parameters observed included product texture, proximate composition (moisture, ash, fat), fatty acid profile, and solubility under rumen-like (neutral) and gastric (acidic) conditions. Results indicated that Ca (OH)₂, CaCO₃·MgCO₃, and CaSO₄ were effective in forming calcium or mixed fatty acid salts, while CaCO₃ failed to bind free fatty acids. Among the effective compounds, Ca (OH)₂ produced the fastest hardening product, whereas dolomite and gypsum provided more balanced mineral contributions (Ca, Mg, and S). All protected fat products were less soluble in the rumen environment but readily decomposed under acidic gastric conditions, ensuring nutrient bypass. These findings suggest that low-cost and locally available calcium sources can be utilized to develop protected fat supplements that are both nutritionally safe and practical for ruminant feeding. Further research is needed to optimize the water-to-oil ratio and enzyme application for improved efficiency.
