Abstract

The Saleh Children's Festival is one of the collaborative programs organized by the Alma Ata University Community Service Program students in the hamlet of Kunden. The purpose of holding this pious children's festival program is 1. to increase enthusiasm in learning Islam, 2. to develop interests and talents in the field of religion, 3. to increase the self-confidence of the children of the Kunden village. In the implementation of the pious children's festival program, there are 4 categories of competitions, namely: Adhan competition, short letter memorization competition, daily prayer memorization and calligraphy coloring. the method of implementing the activity is by analyzing the needs of children of primary school age, planning, implementing, and evaluating as well as following up on the activities that have been taught. The results of this pious children's festival program are so that the children of Dusun Kunden are more enthusiastic in teaching Islam, then the children of Dusun Kunden are also bolder to show their talents and increase their self-confidence after participating in the pious children's festival program. Abstract

Transformasi kurikulum pendidikan guru menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam menghadapi dinamika pendidikan dasar abad ke-21. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan merespons kesenjangan antara idealisme dokumen kurikulum dan realitas praksis melalui kegiatan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) berbasis pendekatan Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi PGSD Universitas Alma Ata dengan pendekatan partisipatif-reflektif, melibatkan 30 peserta dari berbagai latar belakang—dosen, mahasiswa, guru, alumni, dan pengguna lulusan. Proses FGD difokuskan pada tiga isu strategis: keselarasan CPL–CPMK–RPS, efektivitas asesmen pembelajaran, dan relevansi profil lulusan. Hasil kegiatan mencakup penyusunan roadmap kurikulum 2025, sintesis gagasan kurikulum kontekstual, serta dokumen pelaporan reflektif-transformatif sebagai instrumen advokasi kebijakan internal. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa forum deliberatif yang dirancang secara sistematis mampu memperkuat daya refleksi kolektif dan membangun orientasi baru dalam pengembangan kurikulum. Implikasi jangka panjangnya mencakup pembentukan profil lulusan yang lebih adaptif dan penguatan ekosistem pendidikan guru yang berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini menegaskan peran strategis pendidikan tinggi dalam reformasi kurikulum berbasis kebutuhan nyata dan partisipasi multipihak.

Abstract

Tingginya ketergantungan masyarakat pada obat kimia mendorong perlunya alternatif kesehatan mandiri yang lebih aman dan berkelanjutan. Pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) menjadi salah satu solusi karena mudah dibudidayakan di pekarangan serta memiliki khasiat sebagai obat tradisional. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengenali, menanam, dan memanfaatkan TOGA. Metode kegiatan meliputi edukasi mengenai manfaat tanaman obat, pelatihan budidaya sederhana, serta praktik langsung penanaman beberapa jenis TOGA seperti jahe, kunyit, sereh, temulawak, kencur, beluntas, sirih, dan lidah buaya. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengamatan partisipasi, diskusi, dan wawancara singkat untuk menilai peningkatan pemahaman dan motivasi peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya kesehatan preventif berbasis herbal serta kemampuan praktis dalam merawat TOGA di pekarangan rumah. Program ini berpotensi berkelanjutan melalui keterlibatan ibu PKK, kelompok wanita tani, dan dukungan pemerintah desa. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung kemandirian kesehatan keluarga sekaligus memaksimalkan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dan melestarikan kearifan lokal.

Abstract

This study examines the factors, causes, impacts, and forms of bullying behavior in elementary schools. The method used to obtain an in-depth description of the phenomenon of bullying from the perspective of educators is qualitative descriptive. Data were obtained through questionnaires administered to teachers in Yogyakarta, describing their experiences and observations of bullying cases in the classroom and school environment. The results of the study found that the most dominant type of bullying was verbal bullying, in the form of teasing, name-calling, and belittling the appearance of friends. Physical and social bullying were also found, although to a lesser extent, while cyberbullying was relatively rare in elementary schools. The factors that influenced the emergence of bullying included difficulty controlling emotions, personal experiences, peer influence, differences of opinion, and unsupportive parenting patterns. The impacts felt by victims include decreased self-confidence, anxiety, sadness, and decreased motivation to learn, which in turn affects academic achievement. Meanwhile, bullies tend to feel a false sense of superiority or dominance but have the potential to lose empathy and have difficulty forming social relationships. These findings confirm that bullying in elementary schools is a serious problem that requires the joint attention of teachers, schools, parents, and the community.

Abstract

He provision of educational services for children with special needs requires adaptive approaches that accommodate students’ characteristics and learning needs. Special schools play an essential role in delivering educational services that support the academic, social, and emotional development of students with special needs. This study aims to describe the implementation of educational services for children with special needs at SLB Rela Bhakti 1 Gamping Sleman, particularly at the SDLB level. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving the principal, classroom teachers, and students with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that educational services at SLB Rela Bhakti 1 Gamping Sleman are implemented adaptively through limiting the number of students in each class, developing an independent curriculum based on a deep learning approach, and applying concrete and contextual learning methods and media. The main challenges in the learning process are related to students’ emotional conditions and social dynamics among peers. Efforts to address these challenges include flexible learning strategies, support from the school principal, and collaboration with parents. These findings suggest that adaptive, flexible, and collaborative educational services play an important role in supporting the development of children with special needs.

Abstract

Strengthening students’ character is a key focus in education, especially in the era of globalization that demands the younger generation to be adaptive and responsive to cultural diversity. However, in practice, primary school learning often emphasizes cognitive aspects alone, without integrating character values such as global diversity. The low level of student understanding regarding inclusivity and tolerance highlights the urgent need to develop learning models that can effectively instill these values. This study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-based I-LVEP learning model on cultivating the character of global diversity among elementary school students. This research employed a quantitative approach with data collected through observations of students and teachers. The subjects were 40 fifth-grade students at SDN Ngebel, divided into class VA as the control group and class VB as the experimental group, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research design used was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Data analysis was conducted using a parametric t-test (independent sample t-test). The results showed that the STEM-based I-LVEP learning model had a significant influence on students’ global diversity character. This is evidenced by the t-value (t_count = 3.336) being greater than the critical value (t_table = 1.686) at a significance level of 0.05, thus Hₐ was accepted and Hâ‚€ rejected. The model offers an engaging learning experience, enhances conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills, and fosters the internalization of essential life values such as inclusiveness and tolerance. Therefore, it is recommended that future research examine the impact of the STEM-based I-LVEP model on improving students' academic performance in a more comprehensive manner.

Abstract

Special Needs Schools (SLB) play a strategic role in providing educational services for students with special needs who have diverse characteristics and needs. Learning in SLB remains based on national policies and curricula, but its implementation is adapted to the abilities, needs, and conditions of students. This article aims to describe school policies in planning and implementing learning in SLB, the role of the principal in supporting teacher performance, factors supporting the educational process, student characteristics, learning methods, evaluation systems, and the role of parents in supporting children's education. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a field study approach through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that learning flexibility, collaboration between stakeholders, and the application of a humanistic approach are key factors in the successful implementation of education in SLB.
