Abstract

This study describes the implementation of the differentiation method in the Independent Curriculum to accommodate differences in the abilities of grade XI students at SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers implement product differentiation by giving students the freedom to express their understanding according to their interests, learning styles, and readiness through the Discovery Learning model. Assessment is carried out using a flexible rubric that emphasizes core competencies. This method has proven effective in creating inclusive, meaningful learning that can optimize student potential.

Abstract

Psychoanalytic theory has become an essential tool in understanding literary characters, providing deep insights into motivations, internal conflicts, and psychological development of figures. This study aims to explore the role of psychoanalytic theory in character analysis within Indonesian literature. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this article examines various literary works that depict the psychological complexities of characters, as well as how psychoanalytic theory can aid readers in understanding the emotional dynamics and behaviors of these figures. The findings indicate that the application of psychoanalytic theory not only enriches character interpretation but also opens discussions about the social and cultural contexts influencing character creation in literature.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms and triggering factors of code-switching and code-mixing in WhatsApp communication between FKIP UMN Al-Washliyah students and their parents during the 2024–2025 academic year. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the data were collected from screenshots of WhatsApp conversations involving eighth-semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. Data analysis involved identifying, classifying, and describing the forms of code-switching and code-mixing, along with examining the context of their usage. The findings reveal that students, as bilingual or multilingual speakers, actively engage in code-mixing, especially by integrating regional languages into Indonesian when communicating with their parents. Code-switching was also observed, though it occurred less frequently. Additionally, mixed code-mixing and several spelling errors were found, enriching the linguistic dynamics of family communication in a digital context. These findings highlight the significant role of regional languages in maintaining identity and intimacy in students’ online interactions with family members.

Abstract

Reading teaching materials look like a story-based book learning media, which are used to convey learning materials to motivate students in practicing their reading skills aloud. Reading teaching materials entitled "Ayu the Astronaut" are used for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 105418 Sinah Kasih. This research and development aims to (1) determine the process and the level of developing reading teaching materials. This research is an R&D and ADDIE models. The trial subjects in this study were eight students from fifth grade. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. This study uses quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The results of this research and development are (1) the big book product developed using the ADDIE model has met the criteria as a good learning media and has met the criteria of being very valid and valid with the results of the teacher test getting 89%, and the results of the lecturer test 77.5. So, the product qualification is determined to be very valid and suitable for use. (2) The results of the research on the effectiveness of student responses show a score of 89% with the highest score category, which states that the media is interesting so that learning becomes fun.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence, increase in student learning interest and the effectiveness of the use of flashcard image media on the understanding of grade III SD students in studying the material "Me and My Surrounding Environment. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The type of research design used is qualitative research. These participants will be seen from how the development of students in the subject of science. The results of this study are that the use of flashcard image media has a positive effect on student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by questionnaire data which shows that the majority of students gave responses in the categories "YES" and "NO". This media helps students understand the material more easily, interestingly, and enjoyably. Flashcards help visualize environmental concepts in concrete terms. Students recognize their home, school, and public environments more quickly through the images provided, so they can understand the material better. Flashcard image media increases student participation and activeness in learning. Students appear more enthusiastic, active in discussions, and are able to work together with their group members. This makes the learning process less boring and more meaningful. Interviews with teachers support the qualitative data obtained. Teachers stated that flashcard media is very helpful in delivering science and natural sciences material, and is able to increase students' enthusiasm for learning, especially for students who were previously passive.

Abstract

For this study, we will create a comic book using a Facebook application for teachers in Indonesia to use with their students. The purpose of this assessment is to determine the usability, effectiveness, and practicality of this media for fifth-grade students at MIS Miftahul Jannah. The research and development followed the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. A total of 25 fifth-grade students participated in this study. Validation sheets for professional and student surveys were used to obtain data. The results of this study support the idea that classrooms in Indonesia can benefit from the use of Facebook comics. Studies show that fictional comics can change the world for the better. The percentage of validation by media experts increased from 63.33% in the first stage, "feasible," to 90% in the second stage, "very feasible." Expert validation of the material resulted in a 96% increase in feasibility in Phase II compared to 84% in Phase I. Nearly nine out of ten students (88.33%) found the media to be very good for learning. According to the effectiveness test results, an N-Gain score of 0.67 (66.92%) was considered quite effective. At MIS Miftahul Jannah, we utilize Facebook comics as a practical, feasible, and effective tool for teaching Indonesian narrative texts to fifth-grade students.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah proses pengembangan bahan ajar teks eksposisi, efektivitas hasil pengembangan bahan ajar teks eksposisi dan kelayakan hasil validasi ahli pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2018-2019. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan bahan ajar teks eksposisi, efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar teks eksposisi dan kelayakan hasil validasi ahli pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2018-2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen nontes dan instrumen tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar menulis teks eksposisi pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan Tahun pembelajaran 2018-2019, dimana sebelum proses pengembangan bahan ajar menulis teks eksposisi berada pada kategori cukup dan kemudian meningkat menjadi baik setelah proses pengembangan bahan ajar menulis teks eksposisi di kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2018-2019.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Menulis Teks Prosedur Kompleks Dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw Siswa Kelas XI SMA Swasta Swadaya Hamparan Perak Tahun Pembelajaran  2021-2022. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh Siswa Kelas XI SMA Swasta Swadaya Hamparan Perak yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Sehingga yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Kelas XI SMA Swasta Swadaya Hamparan Peraksebanyak 35 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest dаn post-test design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah esаy pretest dan esаy posttest. Nilai rata-rata sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw adalah 64,77dan Standart Deviasi ﴾SD) yaitu 38,81, sedangkan nilai rata-rata setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw adalah 86,2 dan Standart Deviasi ﴾SD) yaitu 38,3. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai test menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw lebih tinggi dari pada sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Berdasarkan data diatas dapat, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsawberpengaruh positif terhadap pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur kompleks pada Siswa Kelas XI SMA Swasta Swadaya Hamparan Perak Tahun Pembelajaran  2021-2022.

Abstract

Socialization activities related to the urgency of how to speak well in conveying Islamic material well without hurting feelings or offending other religions is something very basic. The aims of PKM are (1) to increase understanding of how to speak in Islamic da'wah communication, (2) to improve understanding of the concept of Allah as Rabb for participants. The method used in socializing the lexeme "Allah" without personified language to the congregation of the Al Hikmah Mosque. prayers Medan Tembung District is lecture and discussion. Providing lectures and discussions in the implementation of this service is based on the theory of media discourse analysis by paying attention to how it should be: conveying Islamic da'wah orally regarding the lexeme Allah/Rabb, not offending other people in speaking, and speaking management as a strategy so that mosque congregants become more enthusiastic when listening to the preaching. Islam. .The results obtained in this PKM are increased understanding of how to speak in Islamic da'wah communication, (2) improved understanding of the concept of Allah as Rabb by service participants. With the implementation of this PKM, the presentation of rhetoric related to the lexeme Allah as da'wah material is more developed and interesting, and makes it easier for the audience to accept the objectives of the da'wah regarding the concept of the lexeme Allah/Rabb based on the meaning of the words in the Al-Quran Surah Al Ikhlas.
