Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this program is to create economic independence and increased entrepreneurial orientation which increased revenues Tambakrejo village fisherman's wife. High fish productivity in Tambakrejo village encourage community livelihood as fishermen. The problem faced is the result of the sea depending on the season. Some anticipate a fisherman's wife with salty fish processing season when the fish are plentiful, given the salted fish can be kept in the long term (durable) and can be used to supplement the family income. But the quality of salted fish produced is still low due to the processing of salted fish are unhygienic and lack of good packaging technology. It has an impact on the selling price of the product becomes lower. Innovation is the introduction of devotion performed Salted Fish processing technology in Tambak Rejo. This program involves the fisherman's wife as salted fish producers and KUD Mina Jaya as a marketing agent. The program is conducted using action research method (planning, action, observation and evaluation and reflection). At this stage of the action will be the introduction process of making natural formalin (a natural preservative), salted fish processing using semi modern methods, packaging to the marketing process. The results of the implementation of service programs is increasing the skill and understanding of the community (by 75.04%) in making salted fish as well as increased production and sales of salted fish with an average profit of 30% (Rp. 1.2195 million, - / month). Keywords: Salted Fish, fisherman's wife, Tambakrejo Village, KUD Mina Jaya Abstrak: Tujuan Program ini adalah menciptakan kemandirian ekonomi dan peningkatan orientasi kewirausahaan yang berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan istri nelayan desa Tambakrejo. Produktivitas ikan yang tinggi di Desa Tambakrejo mendorong masyarakat bermatapencaharian sebagai nelayan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah hasil laut tergantung musim. Beberapa istri nelayan mensiasati dengan mengolah ikan asin ketika musim ikan berlimpah, mengingat ikan asin dapat disimpan dalam jangka waktu yang lama (awet) dan dapat digunakan untuk menambah pendapatan keluarga. Akan tetapi kualitas ikan asin yang dihasilkan masih rendah akibat pengolahan ikan asin yang tidak higienis dan belum adanya teknologi pengemasan yang baik. Hal tersebut berdampak pada harga jual produk menjadi rendah. Inovasi pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah Introduksi teknologi pengolahan Ikan Asin di Desa Tambak Rejo. Dimana program ini melibatkan istri nelayan sebagai produsen ikan asin dan KUD Mina Jaya sebagai agen pemasaran. Program ini dilakukan menggunakan metode action research (perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi dan refleksi). Pada tahap tindakan akan dilakukan proses introduksi pembuatan formalin alami (pengawet alami), pengolahan ikan asin menggunakan metode semi modern, pengemasan hingga proses pemasaran. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian adalah meningkatnya ketrampilan dan pemahaman masyarakat (sebesar 75,04%) dalam membuat ikan asin serta peningkatan produksi dan penjualan ikan asin dengan rata-rata profit sebesar 30 % (Rp. 1.219.500,-/bulan). Abstract

Extraction is one of the important processes for obtaining anthocyanins as natural dyes. The aim of this study is to investigate the performance of the extraction apparatus using ohmic technology to produce anthocyanins. This study used a series of ohmic heating consisting of tubular pipes with a diameter of 6 cm and a length of 5.5 cm with a volume capacity of 100 ml. This extraction machine was completed with two electrodes that each have a thickness of 10 mm. The performance of extraction machines using ohmic technology was analyzed by using various voltages of 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 Volts/cm. The result showed that the voltage affected the electric current of the machine. The voltage of 60 Volts/cm was able to produce the largest average electric current of 5.28 A with the greatest electric current achievement of up to 6.21 A. The result showed that increasing the voltage during the extraction process reduced the time needed to reach the expected temperature. The fastest time was achieved in the voltage of 60 Volts/cm with an average time of 11.3 seconds. The increased voltage in the extraction treatment also affects the total anthocyanin produced. The highest total anthocyanin was obtained from a voltage gradient of 60 Volts/cm with a value of 288.014 mg/L and a yield of 14.4%.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi peternak domba di Lumajang yang tergabung dalam CV. MRP (Mitra Ruminansia Perkasa): 1) Konsentrat yang dihasilkan CV. MRP menghasilkan ADG domba yang rendah, 2) Kapasitas produksi konsentrat di CV. MRP masih rendah karena masih menggunakan tenaga manusia untuk mencampur formula konsentrat, dan 3) Pendapatan peternak peternak domba CV. MRP yang rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui Program Doktor mengabdi meliputi: 1) Pelatihan formulasi pakan konsentrat dengan Granul Multinutrient ALT bagi formulator pakan di CV. MRP, 2) Kontrol kualitas produksi konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT, 3)  Pelatihan penggunaan mesin mixing dalam peningkatan kapasitas produksi pakan konsentrat dengan Granul Multinutrient ALT, 4) Diseminasi  pakan konsentrat dengan Granul Multinutrient ALT bagi peternak domba di CV. MRP melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan dan demplot, dan 5) Evaluasi keberhasilan suplementasi pakan konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT ke domba milik peternak CV. MRP di Lumajang. Kegiatan Doktor mengabdi menghasilkan: 1) Formulator pakan di CV. MRP untuk menghasilkan Granul Multinutrient ALT, 2) Granul Multinutrient ALT yang dihasilkan CV. MRP memiliki kualitas yang baik, 3) CV. MRP mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi pakan konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT menggunakan kombinasi mesin pellet dan pan granulator serta mesin mixer, dan 4) Peternak di CV. MRP mampu menerapkan pakan konsentrat dengan granul multinutrient ALT dan dapat meningkatkan ADG domba dengan kualitas karkas dan daging yang lebih baik dan dapat mempersingkat masa penggemukan domba.

Abstract

This program targets unproductive Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) farmer groups in Dusun Wonorejo, Desa Tulungrejo, Kecamatan Bumiaji. The program deals with problems related to the cultivation of strawberries, the production of strawberry jelly drinks, and business permits. The activities during the community services were 1) the assistance for strawberry farmers to enhance the cultivation of strawberries; 2) the socialization activities related to product strengthening by packaging technology; and 3) the guidance on obtaining business permits. This community service implemented an integrated approach to enhance the creativity and knowledge of strawberry farmer groups to increase the economic value of processed strawberry products.  The community service activities provided strawberry plant seedlings for rejuvenation, enabling partners to independently manage and develop strawberry-picking tourism. During socialization activities, the farmer gains an understanding of the necessary business permits. Any spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors have been corrected. Furthermore, the socialization of packaging helped farmers to improve packaging to enhance product quality.

Abstract

Limbah kulit biji kopi dan limbah rumah tangga menjadi perhatian utama dalam pengabdian ini yang memiliki potensi untuk dijadikan sumber daya bernilai melalui penggunaan ekoenzim. Kegiatan pengabdian ini melakukan diseminasi ekoenzim limbah kulit biji kopi dan limbah rumah tangga di Kecamatan Tirtoyudo, Kabupaten Malang. Tujuannya adalah memperkenalkan dan mengimplementasikan ekoenzim sebagai solusi inovatif untuk pengelolaan limbah organik pada tingkat masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif dengan melibatkan kelompok masyarakat setempat dalam proses diseminasi. Kegiatan pengabdian meliputi workshop, pelatihan, dan kegiatan edukatif lainnya. Tim pengabdian berinteraksi dengan kelompok tani, kelompok lansia mandiri, kelompok PKK, dan masyarakat untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang manfaat ekoenzim dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Pelatihan juga dilakukan dalam pembuatan ekoenzim dari limbah kulit biji kopi dan limbah rumah tangga, seperti kulit buah dan sisa sayur, mengubah limbah yang kurang bermanfaat menjadi sumber daya bernilai. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pengelolaan limbah organik secara efektif dan ramah lingkungan. Implementasi ekoenzim di kehidupan sehari-hari membawa perubahan positif. Penggunaan ekoenzim membantu mengurangi dampak negatif limbah terhadap lingkungan. Kontribusi inovatif melalui diseminasi ekoenzim ini diharapkan dapat diakui dan dimanfaatkan oleh berbagai pihak guna mencapai pembangunan yang berkelanjutan dan, sejalan dengan alam.

Abstract

The effect of biochar supplementation with different particle size on biogas production in two-stage anaerobic digestion of white bread waste was carried out on a laboratory scale using a 100 mL bioreactor. The supplementation of biochar variations with particle sizes <63 µm, <125 µm, <149 µm, <250 µm, and <500 µm and the addition of different biochar concentration of 5 g/L, 15 g/L, and 25 g/L were investigated to obtain optimal concentrations. Mixed cultures were incubated at 35 °C for 40 days. Daily gas production, pH and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) were measured using the daily water displacement method. The results showed that the particle size of biochar < 500 µm with a biochar concentration of 5 g/L increased biogas production by 60% and resulted in gas accumulation of 4,240.03 mL/L. CH4, It has proven that biochar increased pH in the mixture. COD concentration decreased from 9,670 mg/L to 1,640 mg/L.

Abstract

Pertanian berkelanjutan merupakan strategi esensial dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem dan keamanan pangan. Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi antara penggunaan lahan pertanian dan pemeliharaan ternak dalam rangka pengembangan energi terbarukan melalui teknologi biodigester. Potensi produksi biogas dari limbah kotoran ternak dinilai sangat tinggi. Dengan lahan seluas 7.11 hektar yang terbagi menjadi 2.27 hektar untuk ditanami rumput gajah dan 4.48 hektar untuk ditanami jagung mampu mendukung kebutuhan pakan bagi 11 ekor sapi. Dari limbah kotoran yang dihasilkan diperoleh potensi produksi biogas harian sebesar 2.2 m3. Proses digestifikasi anaerob menggunakan biodigester berkapasitas minimal 4.4 m3 berhasil menghasilkan gas metana murni sebanyak 1.45 m3 per hari. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian lahan dan jumlah ternak memiliki peranan signifikan dalam mendukung efektivias biodigester untuk menghasilkan energi terbarukan. Hasil pengujian biogas pada efisiensi kompor menunjukkan nilai efisiensi sebesar 0.8% lebih besar dari pada biogas tanpa dilakukan pemurnian. Penggunaan biodigester juga memberikan kontribusi pada pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca dan pemberdayaan masyarakat pedesaan melalui teknologi ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.) is a highly nutritious leafy vegetable widely cultivated for its rich content of vitamins and minerals. To enhance spinach production sustainably, this study investigates the use of liquid organic fertilizer derived from maggot fermentation combined with AB mix nutrients, applied through a drip fertigation system. The study was conducted using three different concentrations: 2.5 ml/L, 5 ml/L, and 7.5 ml/L, with the goal of identifying optimal conditions for maximizing spinach growth. The research utilized a two-factorial, Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five replications to evaluate the effects of these nutrient combinations on key growth parameters, including plant height, leaf number, leaf area and weight of plants. Results indicated that a concentration of 7.5 ml/L provided the most favorable growth outcomes, with a 46.5 cm increase in plant height and a biomass accumulation of 61.8 grams, representing significant improvements over control treatments. The macro-nutrient content of the maggot-derived POC met national agricultural standards, except for pH, which improved to 7.10 when combined with AB mix. These findings suggest that integrating maggot POC with AB mix offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional fertilizers, promoting sustainable agricultural practices. This study contributes to developing efficient cultivation methods for spinach, addressing increasing market demands, and reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

In today's digital age, broadcasting plays a crucial role in showcasing the potential of rural areas. It serves as a platform for educating the public, fostering community engagement, and establishing partnerships. This initiative was implemented in Kalipuro Village, Banyuwangi Regency, chosen for its promising prospects in tourism, culture, industry, agriculture, and livestock. The main objectives of this initiative are to introduce the village's potential, educate the community, encourage youth participation, foster partnerships, and promote entrepreneurship and the local economy. The activities involved in this initiative include conducting location surveys and obtaining permits, preparing and executing field activities, organizing Forum Group Discussions (FGD) and providing Technical Guidance, developing and producing broadcasting media, setting up Mini Broadcast Centers, providing training and mentoring for broadcast production, and monitoring and evaluating programs. This resulted in potential mapping, strategic solutions, and technical implementation plans.
